361  Economy / Economics / Re: what will happen to banks? on: November 20, 2017, 06:06:28 PM
Just like now the banks will operate in the countries as it is going on I know that bitcoin is also important in the life and ready for businesses but if w look at the services of banks we can’t hide the importance of banks. Banks plays a vital role for promoting bitcoin in the other economies because through this broad perspective they can use your bitcoin for many businesses.

The only role the banks are playing in the bitcoin world is that they are a hindrance of people getting unblinded from the madness that our government put us into. People are still out there killing themselves little by little every day just so they can earn money. Literally everything is becoming more and more expensive. The fiat money is constantly inflating. Yet at the end of the day, the salary of people are never increasing. It's even decreasing. It's so hard to get a job, let alone a promotion. Banks will continue to operate the way they have always done but once the time people are educated about the economy of their country and how the government is printing money nonstop, everyone will start earning bitcoin from the Internet. No hassles, no tax, and even greater amount of money. Do you realize how much difference would there be if the banks didn't exist and people just transitioned into using bitcoins? Of course that's not going to happen though because of the role the banks are playing.

I expect the banks' and the governments' reputation to slowly deteriorate in the future as we are starting to make some revolutionary movement here. People are starting to be more educated and well-informed about the things that they should be informed about and bitcoin is one of them. It's an alternative monetary system. Since most people just stuck with what they known, the traditional monetary which is fiat money. That's not going to be for too long.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: November 20, 2017, 05:11:29 PM
for me the one that made bitcoin really expensive these days was its usage in illega activities.numerous have asserted bitcoin during its earlier agle wouldn't have grown to be well-liked if not for using it in crimes.therefore is is absolutely true to say that bitcoin is indeed utilized in offences not only in the present day.but additionally previously and will be in the future.."t

Bruh, trust me. If only a couple of syndicates are using bitcoin for their transactions, the price will be wayyyy higher. You have no idea how much money is going on in illegal activities. I think mostly the price went this high because of the hype. Everyone wants to make money and the nature of cryptocurrencies is that if you invest earlier and you got it for a better deal than everyone else, then you're going to have a lot of money. I don't think it's even safe to say that criminals are using bitcoin today because of its anonymity feature. Sure it's only just a bunch of characters and a public ledger but they are going to be leaving a trail that can some day trace back to them when they use bitcoin. Real money is still way more anonymous than bitcoin since you have no way of knowing where the money that you are currently holding came from unlike bitcoins.

Remember that there are millions/billions of money circulating in the black market. So if they are using bitcoins, then how come the market cap is just this little? Honestly, we would all be rich people if large mafias moved into using bitcoins.
363  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My bitcoins are stolen on: November 20, 2017, 04:22:52 PM
So out of all the whole population of your country, you are the lucky person that got hacked by your government. Honestly, how? Just how. Because if you created the wallet in a fresh computer and assuming that you generated the keys without connecting to the Internet, I have zero idea how would they get your keys even if we assume that they have some shady activity going on in partnership with your country's ISP. The keys were made offline so there's no way it was sent to the Internet.

Either someone hacked into your computer like your brother or sister, or you got phished, or you just forgotten that you sent the money to some website. A wallet/address with that much transaction is not just a person, it's a website. It's probably a bitcoin mixer if we assume that you actually got hacked. It can also be just a trading site. Since the deposit address of your account in trading site and the withdrawal address will be different. Nevertheless, the guy clearly knew what he was doing and made sure that there will be no trail in blockchain to trace him. Regardless, you can't do anything about it. Your coins are never going back. There's no point thinking about it anymore, move on and do better this time.

Update : https://paste.ee/p/DBzVS
First time modifying the table, sorry in case I missed something or if I made a mistake. Edited.

Only mistake was the link for MatrixCoin where you had included a certain page for the link. The link ends with .60, it could either end with .0 or removed them completely. Thanks for helping out! And great job. I'll be more active in the coming days because my little vacation is already done. Smiley The table will be then updated daily.

Yes, i figured it today and I wouldn't modify the table, I actually waited for you to update it since I don't have too much time generally (depends work/vacation). Thanks for the feedback fatanut Smiley

By the way BETCOIN.AG minimum posts limit isn't 30 actually but it is variable depending on the average posts each user had made during previous months. So it could be 70...etc

Honestly, they should just declare how many post count is required for their members instead of making their members debate on such thing. I'm just going to put "**" in their minimum post since no one really knows how many post count is required.

Yeah, I agree they should precise a clear minimum posts to prevent any future problem/conflict but euh they could do whatever they want...
For the table : better to change nexchange to flux, i think bitdice minimum posts was mistakenly modified? (? -> 30), betcoin minimum posts 70 -> **

Edit : nitrogensport is full for the moment
And I think coinroll should be moved to flux also

I probably should have put Nexchange to FLUX before since it's unclear if they are really accepting or not. Actually let's just put Coinroll to CFNP since their manager is not active anyway so even if someone tries to apply, there would be no reply.
366  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: November 15, 2017, 07:47:45 PM
In this present situation, bitcoin is not accepted globally. We also need to have some cash in our day to day life. All sellers doesnt have a bitcoin wallet to take payments. We must pay them in cash.Hence in this present condition, cash is better.

Honestly, though, it doesn't really matter which ones better. You need both of them. As a bitcoin user, you can't just sleep on the fact that there exists such a method to earn money on the Internet and a lot of people are making good fortune from it. I tried having a vacation here from bitcointalk but it didn't last long. I did that because of the increasing scam in the ICOs in here where people just do an ICO and then the coin goes straight to the garbage can right away. But, we still want to try at least since it doesn't take that much effort and if you get lucky, that ICO might help you a lot. It might help you more than any other day job that you might get in the present.

It goes without speaking that in a global scale, bitcoin is still not known. You might see this lively community and maybe have your friends and family know about bitcoin, but there's 7 billion people in the world and there's barely a million people using bitcoin. Obviously bitcoin will not be accepted by the merchants yet. But since you know for a fact that bitcoin will sooner or later be accepted by the merchants and bitcoin will have a much higher price in the future, it's better to have it earlier than most of the people.

On the other hand, cash is the only thing that you can use as a payment method in the real world so you still need to have it. It's like cash is so you can survive the present, and bitcoin is so you can have a financial freedom in the future. Smiley
367  Economy / Services / Re: ZIGGER.IO Signature Campaign (ICO is live - 35% discount for 1st week) on: November 15, 2017, 07:08:53 PM
The campaign is now full, I request the OP to mark the campaign as  CFNP.

OP should also include the spreadsheet link in the OP. It's really confusing why it's not added, tbh. People would have to ask for it over and over. And even if it was posted somewhere in this thread, people are still going to just ask for it since most people seems to have a hard time doing a backread.

I think Coinroll should be removed from Active to be honest because it isn't really open to anyone other than in exceptional cases. I don't think anyone has even been accepted since I was quite some time ago so it should probably be included in Closed, Flux or another section in my opinion.

I think it's just because no one's really applying. Plus this is in the OP:
Quote
We are currently considering Legendary ranked members and/or high trust rating users for participation in this campaign. Registrations are otherwise closed. Leave me a PM or contact me on Skype if you meet requirements.

Let's see what the others think. I'm not going to move it for the meantime.

I added this for the ChipMixer campaign:

Note: If the campaign is full, but you have exceptional post quality or are a very trusted member of the community, feel free to apply.

It's somewhat similar to what Coinroll is doing, which is counted as Active, so I figured I'd let you know. Not sure where it belongs so do whatever you think is correct.

Both of you are looking for high trust members. On the other hand, you are looking for a high quality poster will coinroll's just looking for a high ranked member (Legendary).

I agree, in coinroll, afaik no one joined the campaign from weeks, Namworld is inactive from months, i don't see how even to be included if your application couldn't be read by the manager.
Better to add coinroll and ChipMixer to closed with 3  asterisks or add another colour in front of the name.

IIRC they hired Yahoo to help them out in their campaign.

371  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Are Now Used in Crimes on: November 09, 2017, 04:24:41 PM
Announcing that bitcoin is now being used for criminals to do shady activities is like saying that guns are now being used to kill innocent people. People are always going to use things in a very immoral way. But you can't really do anything about it. People are always going to abuse the anonymity feature that they get from bitcoins. It's the same thing with guns. They are always going to abuse the ability of a gun to instantly kill a person. And it's all just part of human nature. We are doomed to do bad things to each other because otherwise this will be a frictionless world where no one is committing sin.
372  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Offline Wallets Vs Online Wallets on: November 09, 2017, 03:50:48 PM
As long as you don't know the private keys of your wallet, then you don't truly own those bitcoins. The thing is, online wallets can just lock your wallets and use your bitcoins since they have the private key while you don't. If ever they run away, then you have no other way of recovering your bitcoins.

When using offline wallets, you have the wallet seed and the private key of each wallet address that it contains. That's why it's recommended to use offline wallet when you want your coins to be secure or if you want to store your bitcoins and never have to worry about it getting hacked or something. The only way it's going to be used other than you is when somebody found your wallet seed. It's not going to be some notorious hacker since it was never connected to the Internet when you generated the wallet file and it stayed offline ever since.

There is another type of wallet which is basically a hybrid of the two. It's an online wallet that gives you the wallet's private keys. This opens you to two attack points. First one is having the account itself hacked, and the second one is having the private keys found. It's worse than the two.
373  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in College??? on: November 09, 2017, 01:56:58 PM
Even with bitcoin being added to the curriculum, people will not doing unproductive things like watching porn and playing games. It has been a part of the modern world for people to procrastinate all the time and end up not doing anything worthwhile. It's alright though.

There are different courses in college and all of them allows you to make money. Take a photography class and you can take senior portraits and make money from them. Each and every class allows you to make money but how is bitcoin different? I don't think just because bitcoin was introduced to a student, he will drop his hobby of playing games and start trying to earn money. We have learned in the past that people know how to make money but don't really have the motivation to do so. Some of us just wants to be a couch potato and will continue to be like that even after wanting money, needing it, and knowing exactly what to do to make money.
374  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: November 09, 2017, 01:46:46 PM
Practically saying it is not possible to advertise bitcoin on TV. Bitcoin is not a manufactured product or any company product which need marketing. Bitcoin is a Cryptocurrency invented for easy use for the people not to pay unnecessary taxes and service charges standing in queues. Assume if we advertise in TV who will pay the expenses of charged by channels from where we will get it and who will coordinate for this lot of scam will take place in this process so it is not possible and advisable to advertise in TV about bitcoin.

Obviously it will not be done by soliciting from regular bitcoin users. If anything, these will just be a couple of people who knows how to advertise on TV or someone who knows someone that knows how to advertise on TV. It will not be a regular bitcoin user like us who don't really know much about the media and can only speculate from our perspective.

Bitcoin might not be a product but there's a thing that you are able to buy which is bitcoin. Bitcoin is a digital good. With bitcoins, you are able to use a service which is free from the government's restrictions, has lower and faster transaction fees. So even when bitcoin might not be a product of a certain company, it is still possible to advertise it. There are even commercials that are just promoting an idea or a person, so I don't see why can't we advertise bitcoin except for the government is not going to allow it.
375  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting porn sites to accept bitcoin on: November 09, 2017, 08:50:58 AM
first off, they tried this and stopped it damn near immediately. did a little investigating. it seems that the anon nature of cryptos makes it so that any one can buy porn without them really being able to conduct proper kyc, the kind that comes standard with a credit/debit card. since that means kids can use bitcoin to look at porn, this would be facilitating a crime. so to avoid legal liability, its better to only accept payment methods where possession of the instrument implies kyc/aml has been observed.

and besides, who buys porn nowadays?

Proof that paid porn is actually a booming business? The fact that there are still new porn movies coming in. Some are even so into porn that they pay people who does live shows in Chaturbate and let me tell you this, the token in chaturbate is really expensive. Some people are throwing out 50 tokens, 10 tokens, 20 tokens, just so the model will do this or that thing. Easy money is one of the reasons why people get involved in the porn industry and if you're being practical, you might do that. Do porn (without a contract though) and then establish a business somewhere.

I think that porn sites are just trying to be safe under their jurisdiction. Porn is not legal for people under 18 or 21 years old, depending on where you live. With the bitcoin transaction, kids can do that. They are using credit card details for verification of the person's identity. But in reality, kids are still using porn but in the court, they can easily say that their website clearly states that you should only enter if you are 18+ and the kid has clicked yes. That's not their fault anymore and the kid himself can be convicted with identity theft.
376  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: November 09, 2017, 08:37:05 AM
Very interesting thread!
I can see 2 ways how BTC can help economy.

1) Bring stability and electronic payments to countries which has high inflation and dont has the grid for electronic payments but has internet and mobile phones.

2) For developed countries btc can bring new technologies and companies thus innovation and new work spaces with jobs.
Yes its true bitcoin is going to help in many countries regarding economy because bitcoin have already reduce unemployment in many countries and in poor country its role is very great and the people they have changed their life just because of bitcoin so I think bitcoin is one of the useful currency for world and that’s why countries are going to accept bitcoin.

Would countries accept bitcoin just because people are changing the course of their lives with it or is the government going to take advantage of rising number of bitcoin users in your country? I think it's the latter. The government is going to take as much as they can from you and if they start accepting bitcoins by themselves, then they might not be able to do that. The more tax they can collect, the more money they can corrupt.

If your government is corrupt, no matter how much tax they put in cashing out bitcoins or even if they require you to declare your bitcoin address so they can check its history, you are just going to end up helping your government officials richer than they already are. No matter what we do, the economy is going to stay low because the money that's for the people aren't really going to the people. Even when we donate our money to charity, there's also corruption going on. What you put in the donation box doesn't really go to poor kids. The only way you are actually going to be able to help your country is by helping the people by yourself. You can never improve the economy of a country where the government is corrupt.
377  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: November 09, 2017, 08:17:56 AM
If it is a sin to gamble, then we should be able to conclude that taking risks (in life in general) should be considered as a sin. Gambling is nothing but taking risks but you take it repeatedly. Life is full of things like that unless you live in your mom's basement and you've never experienced anything in real life but use your computer 24/7. What's a sin is lying to your loved ones about where your money is going and why are you always out of money even if you have a day job. What's sin is recklessly gambling your money even if you know that your child is already hungry and needs some milk. Those are the sins that you commit once you are addicted in gambling but gambling itself is not a sin. It's the things we do in order to feed our gambling addiction that's a sin.

I've been reading replies from the past and they are saying that it's considered as a sin in their religion. How is that against your God and their morals? Gambling is just a game by itself. But it's not really a big of a deal if gambling is ever proven to be a sin or not. We all commit sins every now and then, some more often than others, and some worse than others. Just how innocent are you if your only sin was to gamble lol
378  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: November 09, 2017, 08:05:53 AM
I used to be in trollbox every day and there are people that claimed to be using some Math formula to calculate the probability of the next round. The bet amount and the multiplier changes every single match depending on what happened in the past. It seems like it was working at that time. But last time I checked their profiles, they are all in negative profit. That proves that even some complicated Math formula fails in the long run in gambling. I mean what's the use of all those Math when the gambling site you are playing on has that sure loss (0.00x) chance and sometimes it happens a couple of times. Most gambling techniques are increasing the bet amount whenever they lose and being in a gambling site for so long, I noticed that there are times when there are reds (instaloss or sure loss) that comes consecutively. That means your bet amount increases and increases until the number of loss outnumbered the amount of bets your bankroll can recover from. And that's what finishes of most gambling betting strategies.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: November 09, 2017, 07:54:00 AM
Hmm, I don't think so. Even if bitcoin is the base currency of the crypto world, other cryptocurrencies are not necessary depending on it. Unlike in the case of the coins under ETH contract, if the Ethereum platform goes down then are going to go down as well.

That's the beauty of cryptocurrencies. They are not under another coin (except for the ones that are under ETH/Waves) and they don't depend on each other. If one coin dies, other coins are not affected at all except if they have some connection. But if Bitcoin dies, that doesn't necessarily takes down other coins.

There are different reasons as to why bitcoin might die. First, bitcoin might die because altcoins are becoming really good and they started to take over. Second, bitcoin might die just because it destroyed itself. Another, bitcoin might die because a new technology is taking over the internet. That means that cryptocurrencies as a whole are dying and so both bitcoins and altcoins are going to die.
380  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people still play dice? on: November 09, 2017, 07:29:39 AM
basically di e is the most easiest gambling and its fun you only need to roll and then wait for your luck if your win or not honestly i enjoy dice the most than any types of gambling im the one who reaches the profit sometimes but i never tried to play in another day because i don’t want to lose those profit i gets from dice game you can also use different strategies and create a unique one

Dice game is only fun if you chose to have fun. There's only like numbers going on so how can it be any fun. I think that the people that are playing dice are those that are either too hooked in gambling to stop or too young in gambling to stop. Some people just can't help but gamble every single day. And with the trollbox, they get interaction with other people and that's where they socialize. Some are new on the Internet and are just trying different things to beat the odds of a gambling site. Spoiler, you're not going to. It will take some time for them to realize that and stop playing dice, or any gambling game for that matter. Dice is purely random and you don't know if it's rigged or not. You don't have any control with the chance of you winning unlike in games like poker where the better you're at it, the lesser the chance of you losing. In dice, it's just going to be random all the way and the previous results won't affect the coming ones.
