1981  Economy / Trading Discussion / Save some money on Exchange Fees (Newbies should read this) on: April 25, 2022, 01:25:04 PM
These fees are always being neglected especially by newbie traders since the fee percentage looks like very low but in reality, it's insanely high on perpetual/futures trading using market order with high leverage amount. I fall victim on this killer fees so I want to share to all Newbies out there that didn't aware on this matter. Enjoy and Trade safe!

Here's the comparison of Maker and Trading Fees on the Exchange that I'm currently using, The fees below is for none-VIP user that has low trading volume which is perfect for newbie. You can check the source link for the complete list of fees!

1982  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question for regular casino players. Will you use Lightning if available? on: April 19, 2022, 11:04:11 AM
Yes, I'm willing to use the Lightning Network if available. But maybe not all casinos are already using the old way while most users still use altcoin.

Altcoins is one of the solutions to overcome the high shipping costs with bitcoin. And I think if the casino can integrate with Lightning Network, maybe that could help adjust the cost.

The casino can promote this to the public and they can say that there are reducing the waiting time for the transaction with Lightning Network.

Lightning network is an off chain transaction so casino will need to setup there LN in able to cater this services while not all user is already using since its still in developing stage. The feature of LN is really cool and perfect for casino transaction but with the current status of its development should make you think twice on using it especially when real money is involved.

For me I will stick with high speed low cost altcoins for now but we are talking about a fully developed LV version then I will go for it but not this time since it’s complex for normal user to use it.
1983  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which would be better ? on: April 15, 2022, 05:58:20 PM
it all depends on the knowledge they have, if as a beginner it is easier for them to play casino, then you should use the casino as the first place to gamble. but for me, I prefer sports, because in addition to hobbies with sports we can also rely on luck as a container for our financial freedom. and it all comes back to us, which one is preferable, because gambling only relies on luck.

You are using both luck on sports betting and casino which invalidate your own statement about advantage of sportsbetting over typical casino games. There is both advantage and disadvantage for this 2 types of gambling depends on the user skills and temperant.

Sports betting is good for user that has a advanced knowledge on sports analysis while it is a total disaster for newbie that don't watch sports that he is betting. On the other hand, Casino luck based game is good for newbie because most of the games are no brainers and have a 50/50 chance to win while advance player will not risk playing on it due to the probability is not in there favor because of house edge.

BTW thankyou again @xandry for the golden egg hint keep doing  Wink

The hunt for another golden egg started a couple of hours ago, and this time it's too easy because Duelbits posted the first clue, which clearly points to a dog. So if we try to find slot games related to dogs, we will see that Ace hid the golden egg on the page of The Dog House Megaways slot game.

Thank you for the answer. I just join today while I’m having a hard time to decipher the code of Duelbits tweet. I spend more than hours checking slot and answer on twitter comments but no luck until I check out here. Thanks again for sharing the exact answer before the countdown is over. The code is very hard which normal user will not be able to crack it even for hours of searching. I guess I will lurk on this thread until the event was ever. Keep sharing.
1986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How are your shitcoins? on: April 14, 2022, 04:50:47 PM
most of the shitcoins currently stuck in the ERC20 wallet can't do anything. in fact, when we try to move it so as not to pollute the wallet we have, we even get a loss for it because the fee is quite expensive.
in general, shitcoins in the wallet are left alone. some people expect that the coin will have value in the future. well, sadly most of the shitcoins, the CEO has not developed it. however, personally, I prefer to keep it in my wallet, because some of the shitcoins that I get from the bounty can be sold even though they are not expensive.
I have the same thing, I have plenty of erc20 tokens that are under 20 bucks right now, which means that between approval and swap the coss are over 20 bucks and I can't move them. The total is over 200 bucks right now, because I invested into many little things back in the day when the fees weren't like this. Now I can't get them out and some of them even dropped in value which means I won't be able to get them out ever.

Tokens below 20$ value in ERC20 is already considered as dust since transaction fee for exchanging and transferring it is twice that amount. Your only chance to withdraw it is to wait for the ETH2.0 to be implemented because it will drastically reduce the transaction fee and shitcoin holders like you will benefit on it.

^All blockchain has Shitcoins not only on ERC20. Actually BSC has the most number of Shitcoins and still counting due to much cheaper fee.

1987  Economy / Gambling / Re: Video Course of BlackJack for people who want to learn BlackJack on: April 14, 2022, 04:13:37 PM
Thank you very much, Black Jack has always aroused a lot of emotion for me, although at one time I was always learning card counting, which I do not see as an act of cheating, over time I realized that it was not worth it, because when two or 3 masos are mixed, the count no longer makes sense, it would be somewhat abrupt and pointless, I think it could even be tried with two masos, but it is something that could not be well responsible, however the way everything is approached OP I like it and it is also very educational. Some videos teach some fundamentals that I never took into account when I was a Newbie, and I often lost, here you name them and I think it can be very well focused for newbies.

What do you mean on “masos”, Is it the deck of cards? Actually the number of deck of cards is not the main problem but rather the continuous shuffling system of Casino to counter card counting. This shuffling method destroy the possibility of card counting because you literally can’t count no matter what is the method that you do. While there’s a trick that you can use to counter multiple decks without shuffling, they are using estimate on ratio and promotion of the use card to the available cards on the deck.
1988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hidden Gems? on: April 14, 2022, 02:10:09 PM
The Fanfury platform allows you to use your predictability and sports understanding skills to earn rewards in the form of FURY tokens. I'm sure many will be delighted.

It looks like this token is a copy project of Fun tokens and Betfury (BFG tokens). This kind of token is not new and can’t be categorized as hidden gem since Gambling based tokens is not in demand except for those Gambling tokens that already established there market in the early stage like Betfury.

BFG tokens is more appropriate to be categorized as hidden since it is not listed yet on big exchange while it has huge market already.
1989  Economy / Gambling / Re: Profits from gambling with crypto (UK tax question) on: April 14, 2022, 11:54:03 AM
Hi,

In the tax year just gone I have made around £40,000 via gambling on crypto betting websites. £30,000 of this I have converted into GBP and withdrawn from my crypto wallet to my bank account.

Two questions:

1) Do I need to pay any CGT on this (my profits from the general appreciation of crypto is minimal - less than £500)

2) If I don’t need to pay tax due it being gambling winnings rather than crypto profit, how do I prove this. A lot of my betting accounts have been closed (and therefore I cannot login to them) thus making it hard for me to prove to HMRC that my transactions have come from gambling winnings.

Thanks

I’m sure you have email receipt of your gambling withdrawal because casino has this feature if you have extra security setup on your Casino since you are gambling with huge money. In case you really can’t recover your gambling receipt, You are forced to make a proof of source of that funds or else you will be in trouble on audit.

Sell your crypto face to face or consult a lawyer on how you will pay the tax for yournmoney to save you from trouble.
1990  Economy / Economics / Re: Passive income : Bank interest vs staking on: April 13, 2022, 03:36:07 PM
Staking is far way more better than Bank interest. And the method should widely be encouraged by government.
Not only that, imagine a situation whereby a staked coin got appreciated in price you will realize higher returns than expected returns,  this is the most interesting part of staking in crypto when compared to Bank interest, Op, where the only benefit is only base on the percentage return.

This is the advantage of decentralized over centralized since the interest rate being distribute to the stakers is high since there’s no much operating cost involved in running a DeFi system while on the other hand Banks need to pay there employee, tax and other miscellaneous plus the profit of owner which will be deducted on the supposed to be the interest of peoples money. We should not blame banks for low interest because they need to have profit in able to survive.
But before that, mostly gumamit ako ng GCash na pambili USDT o BNB sa Binance P2P and so far wala problem at hindi na scammed.

Direct transaction gamit non-custodial wallet hehe.

May mga verified merchant naman kung gusto mo talaga na safe transaction. Medyo mababa nga lang talaga rate nila compared sa mga normal p2p traders. As much as possible ay iwasan yug mga trader na unionbank ang gamit tapos too good to be true yung price. Sila yung kadalasan na scam or may problem yung bank account. Lagi ako nag bbuy and sell sa binance p2p gamit gcash so far wala pa naman akong na eencounter na scammas.

1992  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this also your strategy to avoid hitting your stop loss early? on: April 13, 2022, 08:09:48 AM
Yes of course. I think you have the right idea to have a lower setting of leverage and have it far away from your liquidation limit. Because if you would be able to do that then you should be able to handle a couple more trades when you are against the thread. You can average your entry price as long as your account can handle it in the right direction. DCA-ing it is going to be okay and that's one of my strategies as well that I use automatically.

It's such a pain to do it manually that's why I use a trading bot like Gunbot. It just makes my life easier and it continues to trade for me 24/7.

Is Gunbot using API to trade? What’s the difference between Binance Grid Trading strategy to Gunbot? I know Gunbot for a long time but I never try to use it because I don’t how to use an API or the technicalities of it.  Currently doing Grid trading on Binance since it has Neutral, Long and Short position feature that is effective for DCA trading/scalping.

@chipard, That’s the strategy if there’s no trend and you didn’t know the direction of the trend but if there’s a define trend direction, Opening position with fix leverage and margin is better to get huge profit on the trend.

1994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 13, 2022, 05:39:38 AM
Does anyone here take the Clippers ML live?
KAT already has 5 fouls, and he might sit for a while as they want to preserve him in the 4th quarter, LA Clippers can take advantage of this situation.

What do you think?

I think Clippers got this despite 4pts deficit with 4mins in the clock. Paul George is very good on crucial match like this. I already place a +4.5 for the Clippers just to be on the safe bet. KAT is already tired and cautious on his defense so his effect will not gonna be the same as the earlier quarter. I hope Clippers really got this.  Cheesy

You got busted on this mate by just 1pt. Karl Anthony Towns indeed didn’t play on the last crucial minutes yet Edward and Russell keep the lead until the game is over. The game is very close and fun to watch. Paul George needs someone reliable to assist him on making points because most of his teammates is not contributing well on this match. I hope Kawhi can get back on Playoffs. They just need to hang on in this playin round.
1995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: April 12, 2022, 05:52:06 PM
I got the Warriors, their current odds is 9.00 but I can get 10.00 odds with price boost.

As we can read in the news - https://www.si.com/nba/warriors/news/injury-update-steph-curry-could-miss-playoff-opener
it says that Curry might miss the playoffs opener but I think he will play in the next game, so this Warriors are healthy in the playoffs.

The most important is Draymond Green is back as IMO he is the most important player on the team.

Would you agree with me?

In terms of boosting the team, yes I agree that Green is the most important player he tower both offense and defense acting like a playing coach each time they are playing. It's nice to see him back both him and Klay will take care of this team while Curry is still resting. If they'll be able to work together and win, the next round would be more exciting.

A complete Warriors with healthy cores would give them a better chance of winning another title, looking forward to them to add
more rings in their fingers.

The last time I saw Draymond Green playing is when they are against Suns with a close score in the 4th quarter. He turn over the ball due to traveling as Chris Paul is pressuring him so it gives an impression that Green is not that good compared before base on his recent match. GSW will be a good contender if Curry will be back with same shooting accuracy when he was healthy. It’s important that his game is in good condition during the playoffs.
1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are bounties dead? on: April 12, 2022, 03:20:13 PM
After running several bounty campaigns I have noticed that they only attrach bot accounts, multiple fake accounts controlled by one person or low quality accounts that can not even give adequate comments - it is not the same as it used to be back in the days in 2018. Where has all the quality crowd gone?
I think so and a decentralized bounty system will never stop these bots on joining this campaign since most of the bounty manager allow newbie or low rank member to participate on bounty campaigns especially on social media campaign even though most of this bot social media account is just dummy and no value in promotion. Bounty manager is not checking thoroughly participants account due to the volume of participants that’s why it’s tiring do bounty campaign. Campaign is very ineffective that’s why it didn’t attract investors nowadays compared before.
1997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No condition is permanent in crypto on: April 12, 2022, 12:37:00 PM
Same Old feeling  Grin

When the Bull market comes it always feels like it's here to stay and many ends up believing that there is no such thing as a bear market.

When the Bear market comes everyone feels like it's over for crypto and no Bull market is coming again, maybe because got tired of holding on and on.

In the crypto space no condition is permanent, get ready for both sides because they are inevitable.

You will only feel this if you don’t know how to read support and resistance in the chart. Many newbie trader that relying only on feelings and the percentage on gain/lose is always ended up holding for too long or early sell. I feel this kind of same feeling before when trading but when I understand deeper strategy on trading. I already manage to manage all my positions entry and exit. Always Dollar Cost Average when buying and Sell in tranches to maximize profit and limit risk.
1998  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Using a Stop loss "Good" or "Bad" on: April 12, 2022, 05:34:42 AM
It’s always good and never been bad because it was a limiter to trading for risk management. It looks like bad if the trader using it don’t know it’s purpose such as placing the SL before the support and after the resistance. The only disadvantage of using SL is when you place it on the wrong price but this option is very vital on risk management.
1999  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: April 11, 2022, 10:33:08 AM
I randomly post on my social media status about crypto facts and some of my trading portfolio. I received random message from my friend every time I do some random crypto post. I don’t do it everyday but only depends on my mood so that they will be annoyed to my daily post and they will look forward to have some more news by waiting for my status. I’m a crypto lover too especially Bitcoin but I never contact directly my friends to teach them about Bitcoin.

I’m just letting them to approach me and I’m using my post to lire them to DM me.  Wink
2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Heat from mining on: April 11, 2022, 06:44:50 AM
I have similar hardware. I keep it on the balcony as it has a heating problem. I replaced the fans with quiet ones because of the noise of the power supplies. I spaced each GPU 25cm apart for the GPU's heat issue. Despite this, the temperature rises significantly. I reduce the heat here by opening the entrance and exit windows of the balcony. In the winter it's fine, but in the summer I run it at lower settings to lower the GPU temperature.
What types of GPUs are those? I'm not sure if placing a mining rig on the balcony is safe because of dust and other problems flowing through the air, are you sure this is the perfect way to tackle your heat issue.

The dust on the fan will surely gonna built up fast overtime plus other outside factor that can affect the rig such as humidity. Proper ventilation is the key to well maintained the farming rigs. It’s additional cost yet it will saves you a lot of money from maintenance unlike to save few bucks on ventilation then later on your rig will break down due to overheating.
