4141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex delisting 17 Altcoins on: April 19, 2017, 10:41:00 PM
LOL, just saw that all.

It seems like I'm going to have some big losses with Voxels. Profit of like 1-month trading gone down the hill with it.

isn't voxels something big to do with uphold? i seem to remember they counted it as a large part of their assets or something. the ceo sounds like a prick anyway but here's another reason not to trust it.

Yup, that's the reason of its big crash... and I don't see any reason of sticking to it right now so dumped all my voxels already at Polo.

Yeah, Voxels.

It's going to be an extremely big hit on companies like Uphold.

They counted Voxels as a reserve currency of theirs, and now that it is delisted by Poloniex, the price has decreased by more than 50%. They had a big reserve of Voxels and that was what made them "full reserve". Now that Voxels has crashed, they will have to find news ways to do that.

Another reason why you should always diversify, don't get too caught up in the hype.

I'm sure a lot of people got a big loss due to voxels, but anyways, I'm not sticking to this junk anymore.
4142  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Bitcoin is Trusted Currency or not ? on: April 19, 2017, 10:37:24 PM
Answer to the title: Bitcoin is more promising than any other crypto-currency.

Answer to the post: You should try out BlockChain.info or paper wallet. Both are good options.
4143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 19, 2017, 10:33:47 PM
Currently the best short-term investment in undoubtedly, Monero.

Time to buy as much XMR as possible. Bitcoin & Monero seem to have good future in the next 3 days. Grin
4144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I have 0.5 BTC how to make money in Investment. on: April 19, 2017, 10:32:03 PM
Two best options for your 0.5 BTC:

-Get the GPU mining rig and start mining altcoins.
-Trade at Poloniex with stable crypto-currencies.
4145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex delisting 17 Altcoins on: April 19, 2017, 09:41:45 PM
This is just sad, I have  qora and XMG on that exchange, I have been accumulating qora for about a month now, and since it is getting delisted in Polo, I gues I'll just sell them.  Then I'll just move my XMG to bittrex.  Just another bad trading day  Cry.

Well mate, don't think about the past and plan the future. You're not the only one who got a lot of loss. I've lost a lot too due to it.

And that doesn't mean you and I are the only ones who bore the loss, there are probably hundreds of traders currently crying. But that's how the things go in crypto-currencies, unfortunately.
4146  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: do i have to pay tax on bitcoins ? on: April 19, 2017, 09:32:43 PM
At least right now, you can escape from taxes. But I'm pretty much predicting that this won't last longer in many 1st-class countries.

But right now, that's the beauty of bitcoin, you don't have to pay taxes! Tongue
4147  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it still worth it to trade? on: April 19, 2017, 09:30:24 PM
Well its very much still worth it to trade.

In crypto-currencies, the chances of getting extremely rich or extremely poor arise like almost daily. You just have to watch out for it.
4148  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 19, 2017, 09:27:15 PM
I've a feeling... bitcoin is about to blast the all-time highs very soon!

This time, lets think a bit bigger, think of more than $1500! Grin
4149  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rx 470 4gb 40mh with picture on: April 19, 2017, 09:17:19 PM
Well you shouldn't be very much happy with that, its an error, if you don't find it today, you'll have to tomorrow.

Very soon, either the card would start crashing or will start reporting bad shares.

But until that time, enjoy the scenery. Tongue

4151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost Thousands Of Bitcoins Because Of Volatility on: April 19, 2017, 07:34:10 PM
Bitcoin, Ethereum are the only two "very stable" long-term crypto-currencies now.

Other than these two, I don't think there is any crypto with extreme stable future. Even Monero can be dumped or pumped hard any time, IMO.
4152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ether price? on: April 18, 2017, 10:56:45 PM

This may be, may be true. There are surely some big whales behind Ethereum, and it seems like after Microsoft, Alibaba is present to support it too.
4153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: April 18, 2017, 10:55:13 PM
Let's pump Monero as a gift to it on its birthday! Grin
4154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.1 (Windows/Linux) on: April 18, 2017, 10:52:22 PM
Updated the miner's version and now it seems like I'm getting a heck of more hash speed for siacoin than before. Ethereum hash rate seems same.
4155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Dual Ethereum AMD+NVIDIA GPU Miner v9.0 (Windows/Linux) on: April 14, 2017, 09:33:14 PM
9.0 is junk compared to old ones, huge instability using asm or without

this is not true at all, i get about 2-2.50$ more a day with 9 vs 8.1

yes it fluctuates some.. but not enough to be a problem. the boost in dcr is well worth it.

For me, both are totally same. I don't see any difference at all in mining speed or other stuff.
4156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU health over time... higher temps or higher fan speed? on: April 11, 2017, 09:22:28 PM
LOL, its a great question. Was always confused in making the decision, but never thought of asking it out here. Grin

For the last like one year, I've been running my GPU's at almost 90% fan speed with 78 degrees temperature. 90% fan is way too much by the way, I can't keep the rig in the room where I'm staying. But anyways, they're still running smoothly.

I got some GPUs running at 90C for the last 3 years non-stop.

While others ran at 60C and died after a few months...

Either way, you got full warranty for 3 years with ASUS. Anything happens, send it in.

General consensus is that its better to run components at lower temps because it increases component life, like the capacitors but most likely you will stop mining before they start failing.

That helps, will lower the fans rate right away of my all rigs. 90 C seems risky, but will still try out the speed of fans till temperature is somewhat like 85.
4157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 11, 2017, 09:11:44 PM
Pakistan close to the win against West Indies. This will make Pakistan the winner of series and auto-qualifier for World Cup.

Finally, some good batting from seniors.
4158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 10, 2017, 03:05:02 PM
Is it just me? Or sometimes IPL does look like very much fixed?
4159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: April 04, 2017, 10:18:37 AM
Finally, the time to buy more and more Ethereum! Its only 0.035 BTC each ETH right now! Grin

If you want to attain stable 27 MH/s, do you know you can get it without flashing through Claymore miner's integrated functions?

Use -cclock and -mclock, check FAQ of Claymore miner for more information.
