At this point when people say altcoin, they do not think about ETH, it is so much bigger and doing so well that people think about other stuff, coins that are lower than that. Even other top 10 coins considered as altcoin but not many of them really gets considered as highly as ETH which is why there are confusions sometimes.
Because people think that altcoins are those projects that give them x1000 profit. They are looking for gems, so if they are investing in altcoins certainly ETH is not their option, especially for those who just come during the recovery but rather take those new projects. But back to being in altcoin season, I think when we hit altcoin season, bitcoin will not stay silent neither, we are going to see that go up as well and it should be doing fine. I personally believe that everything will go up, not just eth or btc but ALL coins will go up. That is how it happened so far and I am confident that it will probably be the case for the future as well and shouldn't change anytime soon.

Just an update, appreciate everyone’s input so far. I have done 10k into ADA as it stands, I do have another pot I started back in August as well, this has various coins including eth and is currently up about 4k overall.
I have been in crypto a while but only started in the last bull run so didn’t make any real profits, I have been sitting on the sidelines since waiting for the right time to invest along with doing a lot of research into different projects.

Well, it is really necessary to save money for unexpected needs and rainy days. It is really disappointing how humans being materialistic, they judge on your appearance over your personality. In my opinion, you should save at least 15-20% of your salary and in case you have available time, try to find a part time job, that would help to gain more money. In addition to that, it is certain Bitcoin is a good investment especially in long term but it is preferable to purchase only what you can afford to lose.
Any amount to save is very important even if we are not consistent in doing at least we have some savings. What I did now is I have a schedule alarm when I have to put money in my savings account. Honestly, it was a little bit difficult to start doing this but when it becomes habitual, everything works so easily. But I see that having a purpose for saving could help us to encourage savings more compares to just saving for emergencies, that is why I change it and yeah, it motivates me a lot. |

Well, the performance of this project is quite convincing but we're not sure how it performs in the next few years especially when your intention is to hold them long-term. I may say it was one of the lists for many investors but holding them should also depend on how it performs. majority of them are done for, there's certainly reason why many always advice, if you are investing in meme coin at least invest in coin that have good trading volume so at least you can easily liquidate your assets if you truly need it, now so many of meme coins out there dying, because while they have no utility at all, they are also need to maintain their trading volume so they're not getting delisted, but right now the flow of investments going towards these meme coin in general has been significantly reduced, that I think it'd hard for them to ever regain their former glory at all.
I'd say, it's always better watch out if you have any investment in these meme coin for any potential delisting which could turn your meme coin value into nothing, basically you can lose all your money, or maybe you should just move over your meme coins investment to the other more famous meme coin like shib and doge, at least they're guaranteed not getting listed, since their trading volume are still quite high enough, even though there are some other meme coin that might make some comeback in the future.
On the other hand, investing in meme coins is too risky especially if we aim for the long term. I know that many people are still buying some of these meme coins like Doge and Shiba, and many people are riding the hyped.
