1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Women's Day Wishes to all Women Bitcoiners on: March 08, 2022, 07:27:26 PM
Women are a minority in crypto universe because they have aversion to risks, while men are usually prone to take risks and to explore new things most people are still unaware of or uninterested for. It's part of the nature of each gender, although of course there are exceptions, but that can't be used to invalidate the main rule anyway.

I think people shouldn't worry about bringing more of this or that kind of person to cryptocurrency. Every crypto adopters worth, doesn't matter their gender, race, class, religion, ethnicity, etc...

You can't proof this with numbers because we do not know that the person holding the bitcoin in wallets is male or female. As more people have become aware of bitcoin, girls and women are equally interested in crypto.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I get hacked, 2.4 bitcoin stolen from coinomi wallet on: March 06, 2022, 02:24:21 PM
coinomi is an open-source wallet that guarantees some level of security
Please actually read the thread before hitting reply. There is extensive discussion in the previous posts about how Coinomi absolutely is not open source and has had a number of very significant vulnerabilities in the past (transmitting seed phrases to third parties, not encrypting communications, etc). Further, no wallet can guarantee your security since even the best hardware wallets or cold storage can be used in an insecure way if the user does not know what they are doing.

In a nutshell, if coinomi wallet is used properly and in a secure manner, it is still vulnerable and we can lose our funds? If you can give a short summary on this , it will be really help because i do have coinomi wallet in my phone with little funds.  Sad

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This Ukraine issue has me thinking a lot. In a crisis, how valuable is bitcoin? on: March 06, 2022, 01:29:33 PM
Assume you must evacuate your house during a wartime situation. You don't have any cash, but it's been depreciated owing to previous occurrences.

You, on the other hand, have your phone, hardware wallet, and seeds. You're in a nice mood.

The internet and cellphone networks then fall down.

How do you intend to use your bitcoin? Is it completely worthless?

You leave your house, the bank did not work and you have just a worthless cash in your hand, but the major portion of your saving is in bitcoin.
Even if there is no internet at your location, you can move to another country and still live because you will get internet in other places. Having bitcoin is useful but first thing is that you must save your life from this war situation.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised Exchanges are the Biggest Enemies of Bitcoin on: March 06, 2022, 01:08:20 PM
Big CEXs are killing the original bitcoin spirit by forcing users to pay tax on gains, freezing user's assets, preventing users from using their service depending on their IP and more.

There is a more manipulation scene that exists in exchanges where they will liquidate your positions by either freezing the accounts temporarily or moving the market in the direction to hit the stop losses.

Unfortunately we have very few good CEXs which have more liquidity and those CEX exchanges are taking advantage of this and making a lot of money by manipulations.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying with Bitcoin where there's rush on: March 06, 2022, 12:57:46 PM
I think that bitcoin lightning network will solve this late transactions confirmation problem to some extent. For a very small amount of transactions, i think the stores should allow other crypto currencies too so that paying a small amount is not hectic both in term of fee and time.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be Cautious and take Caution. on: March 05, 2022, 02:49:16 PM
Op you are right concerning your opinion. The Russia-Ukraine invasion  many people will use it as an advantage to generate money for themselves claiming they are taking donations that will favour the citizens but it is untrue. If one must do any donation it is important  to make sure that where the money is to be donated is genuine,  people just need to be careful not to allow scammers to take advantage of them.  OP thanks for letting the public get aware about this.

Really shame on those people who do not care for the innocent people dying in the war, but they only care for themselves and talking money as donations but spending them on themselves. Don't they have any fear of god  Huh
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin surpasses Russian Ruble - now top 15 currency on: March 02, 2022, 06:23:24 PM
Quote
Bitcoin’s valuation has surpassed that of the Russian Ruble and also institutions like JPMorgan, Meta and others.
Bitcoin has become one of the most valuable currencies globally after overtaking the Russian ruble.

The invasion of Ukraine has sent Russian currency tumbling to record lows, and Bitcoin is profiting from that. This followed its sharp recovery after it fell to $35k after news of the invasion broke out.

Bitcoin is more valuable than Russian Ruble

With an over 17% increase in the last seven days and a 13% surge in the past 24 hours, Bitcoin has become part of the 15 most valuable currencies globally by market cap. It surpasses the fiat currencies of nations such as Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Thailand, Sweden, and Israel.

The fall in the Russian ruble against Bitcoin and US dollars came after some Russian financial institutions were cut from SWIFT. The ruble’s value against the dollar reached ₽108 on Monday, a significant rise from the ₽83 the week earlier.

Source

What happens when the war is over and things go back to normal, this can affect the price because not many of those who bought would want to hold. What's your opinion.

Russian's native currency Ruble is losing its value and therefore people are converting their wealth in bitcoins. We cannot yet say how things will develop after the war. It entirely depends upon the outcome of this war.

Has putin just hinted the nuclear war ?

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope Vs Realty of bitcoin on: February 27, 2022, 01:45:12 PM
Exactly the truth but from a trader's point of view, this is hard to predict. As per the chart, there is just one good strategy which is to HODL which is just the half truth. Trading too can be profitable but only with the correct knowledge, you should correlate all the indicators to know which fall is a correction and which one is a crash, also you should be ready to take STOP loss if you are proved wrong. The truth is even a trader's capital will increase in this manner only the way the chart on the right is moving. It's just that people stop trading after their first crash and don't follow their strategies and then the downfall of their capital begins.

If both the investors and traders know the true potential of bitcoin, they will never ever sell in loss. Even if the war news or any other news brings bitcoin down, it will be temporary. We have seen in the past that all such events could not dump bitcoin for a long time. There was always buyers and whales who are willing to buy bitcoin cheap from us.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CRYPTO COFFEE & CRYPTO MENU on: February 27, 2022, 12:46:57 PM
The owner must be a big crypto currency fan.
that's for sure because there's no way someone who doesn't know bitcoin/cryptocurrency would want to do that.  the food/drink menu available is really creative, one day for sure i will try to make a business that sells food/drinks like this.

Not only he is a fan of crypto but also he is an intelligent marketer who knows how to promote a business. There are thousands of coffee shops which get unnoticed but since he integrate bitcoin and crypto with coffee, he has got noticed, and now his sales will be far more than the other coffee shops.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't punic, just hodl on: February 27, 2022, 10:05:34 AM

Cryptocurrency is impossible to bun or stop. After the fall of the market will be a rise.
For cryptocurrency project it is important to attract attention and be unusual like this https://twitter.com/DogeGaySon/status/1488443132718948352

Now the economic situation in the word is stabelized and many people prefer to buy securities of different companies that to use cryptocurrency for investment.
When market falls many people stop investing.

Cryptocurrency continues to fall. But some people use this time to buy more crypto for the best prices.
When one people in panic sell their crypto other people buy it for the best price.

This is the best time to hold your crypto which you have already bought. Also this is one of those times where you can buy more crypto and build your portfolio.
All the altcoins are near to their support and it's very likely that they will pump up from here, if bitcoin does not dump more.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you make money from meme coins? on: February 27, 2022, 07:29:18 AM
looking for profit on meme coin in my opinion has a big risk and I consider getting profit from meme coin is luck
but in my opinion if you want to get profit on meme coin look for good meme coins and not yet popular and go in early if you enter when it is already popular maybe the loss you will get.

Though investment in the meme coin is full of risk but sometimes it can give you more rewards as compared to the other coins. Think of dogecoin and shiba Inu, as both of them have given a lot of profits in the last year. But again there are many who are even stuck in these two meme coins as they have bought them near the all time high prices.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine is now accepting cryptocurrency donations. Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT on: February 26, 2022, 07:29:57 PM
We hope this fundraising can be stopped.

Why do we need this fundraising to be stopped  Huh
If the world is willing to help the innocent people of Ukraine, they why should anyone has a problem with this ?  However 20 bitcoin raised so far is a big money.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukraine is now accepting cryptocurrency donations. Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT on: February 26, 2022, 07:15:41 PM

I advise all people who are willing to give to check that the above address, or any other address, effectively belongs to the Ukrainian government.

My apologies to the OP, but I'm suspicious by nature.

Lets suppose its true and people will realize the importance of bitcoin. In the situation o war, bank and credit cards (plastic money) stopped working. Only cash and crypto in ur personal wallets can be handy all the times. People must have realized by now that money in the bank is NOT yours but crypto in your wallet is YOURS.

Signal of what?
Buy!!!!

Sadly we are more concerned about the bitcoin prices and not worried about the innocent people dying because of this situation.

How cruel are we !!!

yes very sad... but... what about people of Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen... you want to count deaths? people falling from skies alive...surely we forgot. No one sorry on this? or the world does not count these nations as "humans"?

Well I don't want to start a debate and I'm also not supporting any war.. but truth is this world is not concerned about "people's" death anymore.

What they did in other part of the regions which you mentioned is also wrong and innocent people's lives were gone. But this does not mean that we become selfish and now see Ukraine people die.
We never know one day, we are in the war region and the world will be taking positions on bitcoins, giving buying signals on our deaths. Sad
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: World War III & Bitcoin on: February 24, 2022, 09:59:22 AM
Short term, we will see something very very bad. Crash is what I think of. It's just like a crash in March 2020 when WHO announced the Covid-19 pandemic. Because the crowd are not wise, most of them are not wise so that they are manipulated by Market Makers. Such news in eyes of the crowd is bad, terrible so they shake their hands, panic sell and cause huge net effects which is shown on chart as crashes.

Long term, it's good because let's think of original purposes of Satoshi Nakamoto when he coded and launched the Bitcoin Genesis Block. Bitcoin is for such bad conditions globally.

If this happens and bitcoin crashed badly to 20K or lower, would not it be an opportunity to buy bitcoin and all of the crypto in bulk.
We have seen this in the past that those who bought in the covid dump, after the year they enjoyed a lot of profits (provided they remained alive during pandemic)

"the time to buy is when there's blood in the streets." Baron Rothschild.

Gold going up. Oil going up.

Bitcoin going down, this is the signal!!!

Signal of what?
Sadly we are more concerned about the bitcoin prices and not worried about the innocent people dying because of this situation.

How cruel are we !!!

20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador has become the first country to make #Bitcoin legal tender! 🇸🇻 on: February 22, 2022, 05:29:18 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if the U.S. imposes sanctions on the country sooner or later, should the introduction of Bitcoin become a success.
No, US has no right to give sanctions to El Salvador. In my opinion, to decide Bitcoin as a legal tender is El Salvador's internal affair. So, no other country can intervene in this policy because it has nothing to do with other countries. If El Salvador can succeed with this crazy decision, it is their own achievement. Or if they failed, it is their own failure, no influence to another country. Simply, as long as it is not international affairs, US cannot give them santions.

Ideally, US should not interfere in other people's economies and political affairs but unfortunately, this is not the case. Instead, the US is one of those countries that try to interfere in almost every country as they are the superpower that indirectly controls the world.
