801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You think terrorist groups around the world use Cryptos as a means of payment? on: November 30, 2019, 09:52:54 AM
The terrorists are anonymous and they are ready to die if caught and will not reveal who is behind it all, what else to look for
Information on how they can get funds for weapons.
So don't blame crypto for its usefulness but the terrorists and the people behind it.

Do you know people buy illegal guns and weapons through the dark web and all the transactions are done in bitcoins and crypto. For the terrorist, crypto is a blessing because they can now move the money or do transactions anonymously. There is no doubt in the OP question that one of the biggest misuse of crypto is its use in illegal and terrorists activities.
802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Gervonta Davis vs Yuriorkis Gamboa on: November 30, 2019, 07:49:01 AM
This will be a good show to close the boxing year and also the American boxing calendar with Gervonta Davis and Yuriorkis Gamboa fight. Seeing the last fights Gamboa defeated Roman and he will prove to be the tough opponent for the Gervonta too. All eyes on this showdown in Atlanta near the New year.
803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much of your money only needed for gambling and others is for family on: November 30, 2019, 06:15:34 AM
Many people gamble without thinking and spend all his/her money remember that you spend hours earning that money for your family and also for yourself but our responsibility is bigger(...)
Exactly! And as I also observed some of the people that maybe we can say "below average" people or poor are still gambling, I don't think it will solve their poverty.

And also consider those people who are gambling just to be entertain only. Family first before everything else, you should feed first the family before spending some of your money in a very risky way which is gambling.

Those poor people who spend all of their funds in gambling are not playing gambling for the fun. There intent is to change their fortune and help their families by winning something big. Their aim is right but way of working is wrong. Because if they lose in gambling, then the small money which they have with them will also be gone making their troubles more.
804  Economy / Services / Re: I can help you to sell your toko! on: November 30, 2019, 03:43:59 AM
I will only charge 50%

Ill charge 49%

no idea what toko is

but if you are able to do it I can as well... 49% - save 1%

Sure you can! Share me your idea. May be i can also use your services Grin

Thanks jamalaezaz for explanation. I used symbol Toko instead of full name Tokoin and i am only offering for those who have received payment that is ~ 5/10$. The withdraw fee is about 3-4$+ on kucoin. So i think i can help some people also can make profit by withdrawing them at a time. I tried to share my idea. That's it.

Your idea is a good one but it is missing Escrow. If you add an escrow here, then people can trade with you safely or perhaps you are
willing to go first ?
805  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHICH CRYPTO MOBILE APPS DO YOU USE? on: November 29, 2019, 06:15:06 AM
Hey traders! I'm curious which apps do you use and why?
Is it safer to trade via pc/mobile/no difference?
Thank you

I usually do not use my mobile for trading. I feel much better to trade on PC due to big screen and ease of use. Although i do have app for binance on my mobile but i usually use it to see the trades etc, but i normally place the trades when i am on my pc.
It is good to keep bookmark site preev.com to get updated on mobile for the bitcoin prices and other third party apps which will give you notifications on the movement of altcoins.
806  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 29, 2019, 05:31:00 AM
Bitcoin explosion is in the air.

The volumes at Bakkt are broken almost daily. If we assume that the volume on a coin market cap is 90% fake and Bakkt represents true volumes, then Bakkt is now more than 1 percent of the total volume on market cap. Here Bakkt comes to the point that they need so many bitcoins that there will be a shortage on the market. It is only a quarter to two in the afternoon and the trade in America has yet to start and Bakkt is already at 10 million volume. Today or tomorrow, Bakkt will cover the 25 million bitcoins. That is equal to 1 / 8000th part. Enough to make the market explode. I expect the bitcoin to be at $ 25,000 within a month. Then another 50,000.
Now maybe. the moment to buy in

A friend just send me this true what’s app from one or other Belgian link, I don’t know (can’t provide) the true source, but what you thinking about this??

#hopium.....

Don't know if the volume of coinmarketcap is real or not, but Bakkt impact is yet to be take effect. No one realizes how quickly the bakkt will make bitcoin demand too high and it will be difficult to catch the bitcoins.
It seems a joke now but bitcoin will explode in a blink of an eye like a rocket , however the exact time is still not known, but is very near.
807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so few women buying into Bitcoin? on: November 29, 2019, 04:51:16 AM
It amazes me the number of men in crypto but women not so much.
When I talk to my girlfriend or female friends I feel like they don't care about it or I am crazy lol. I offered 3 of my female friends 10 dollars worth of Bitcoin via Coinbase to see if they will be interested.  I helped download the app, set up two-factor authentication and some other basic stuff. After a couple of months, they even don't recall how to access their wallets. I am very disappointed lol. Can someone explain to me why women are not interested in crypto?

I think you took the wrong approach. You gave 10 dollars worth Bitcoins to your female friends and except them to do what ? They have 10 dollars in their wallet and they do not need to open each day their wallet to see those 10 dollars. Instead you should have told them on how and where to earn the bitcoins.
Even if you had told them to how to get the bitcoins even through faucets, they might have developed them some interests in bitcoin. Later they could have explore to find more better ways for earning bitcoins.
808  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there a service that lets you lock your Bitcoin for 24-48 hours etc.? on: November 29, 2019, 04:08:18 AM
Let's say I have some Bitcoin and I want to lock the Bitcoin away for many reasons - is there a service that can let you deposit your Bitcoin and get it back after 24 hours or something similar?

Perhaps you can even earn a small interest % on the Bitcoin whilst it's there?

Do you know of any reliable service that does it?

Why would you be needing to lock your bitcoins for 24 hours ? It is better you keep in your wallet and do not trust any third party services.
Secondly if you're looking to get interest over your deposited/locked bitcoin, no one will give you interest for just 1 -2 days. There are services which give you interest over a period of one or more months, but it is a risky business and many people have lost their bitcoins by these so called investments.
809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese football players wear bitcoin wallet QR code T-shirt, popular social net on: November 29, 2019, 02:24:54 AM
@BitcoinsGreat

There's a mistake, I also thought it was a whole team. But when you look at the player's picture you clearly see that it's not a Tshirt to play the matches with, but just a stupid white T-shirt with a QRcode.

In short, there is only one player and it's not even a T-shirt for the matches. I believe there is another story behind (the photo buzzed on social networks, or)but @OP since didn't post any link...

If you see at the title of the thread it says about the Chinese football players which strikes me of a team but the pic shown is just a person wearing a bitcoin OR shirt and it looks like he is standing in some park etc. In short, the information provided by the OP is incomplete and it is creating unnecessary confusion. I am hoping OP will reply to all these questions being asked here.
810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese football players wear bitcoin wallet QR code T-shirt, popular social net on: November 28, 2019, 02:40:41 PM
Yesterday, bitcoin soared wildly. When many people regretted that it was too late to start, a football player found a new way -- to wear the T-shirt advertised by bitcoin to speak for his dream on shaky voice, and successfully won the support of many people.

There are football players wearing clothes with bitcoin logo and QR code, which represents the address of bitcoin wallet. Scan these QR codes, and others can donate money to the wallet. This two-dimensional code has successfully gained a lot of attention in dithering, and quickly spread throughout the bitcoin community.

I can only see a player / person wearing a bitcoin shirt.
Can you give more details or any link which shows the whole football team playing wearing the bitcoin shirts ? Also it will be appreciated if you an give the name of the Chinese football club which took this initiative.
811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here is why Bitcoin can only go down on: November 28, 2019, 12:42:09 PM
Imagine that Motorola - the first company which manufactured a truly wireless communication device in 1983, designed its production system so that it can produce only 10,000 mobile phones a year. Now, does that mean these phones would have been more scarce every single day because the population is almost required to increase its demand? And would that mean the price of Motorola phones will rise to $1,000,000? No. Why? Because people will simply associate and produce their own wireless communication devices, as these devices are just chips, resistors, transistors, capacitors, inductors, and diodes joined together the right way. And it s not only Motorola that is capable to put electronic components together.

In the same sense, bitcoin is just numbers associated to addresses that are transferred through the network from one address to another via some protocol. And it is not only Satoshi Nakamoto who is capable to design such paying system. This system is not Michelangelo's Pietà or Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. It is just numbers, addresses, database, and protocols. Everybody is capable to create that. So, no rational reason exists for bitcoin to cost 1,000,000 dollars. There is no reason for people to enter into fast, transparent and cheap payment system for $1,000,000, or even $10, if they can enter it for $0.001(altcoins) or if they can associate and design their own crypto payment system.

Bitcoin is simply a mega-bubble that diminished people's ability to think rationally. Bitcoin can only go down to the price of an average coin. Just like Motorola's phones have prices of average phones.

How can you compare bitcoin with Motorola phones ? Your example does not suit to the bitcoin and crypto currencies. If you relate phones with altcoins, even then all the altcoins did not have any effect on bitcoin. You can just think that bitcoin won't go up in your dreams. In reality, the opposite of this will happen and you can't imagine how high will it go.
812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the next Bitcoin halvening could be the most dramatic one yet on: November 28, 2019, 11:20:57 AM
The 2020 Bitcoin Halving Event is one of the the important milestone event in Bitcoin's history. 6 months after the last 'Halvening' Bitcoin began the epic run in 2017. Contrary to popular beliefs, The next halving will take a similar route.  If block rewards are halved, prices have to go up to compensate for it. It might very well be the case. Let's see how it goes though. A bull run isn't certain just yet. I'm keeping my eyes and ears open to get a feel of what the market (traders, users etc) think about the halving event.

If the bitcoin needs to go up to market cap of $1 trillion, then we need to have a massive bull run. It is not possible for bitcoin to move to this marketcap, without a bull run. Also after the last two halving, everyone is accepting a big bull run again. I am not denying the bull market but there can be some opposite reaction to the people expectations. Its just a fear, i hope it does not happen and we experience another great bull market.
813  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Screaming SCAM, means you're stupid. on: November 28, 2019, 10:31:57 AM
It's not wise to generalize all the scam screamers as the same. Some are just throwing their frustrations through words. Some might be unaware and confused of the site rules and some might real be having issues with the sites as even the promising of sites has encounter problems that were solved through research and discussion in this forum.

Sometimes people lose in gambling and they scream it as SCAM which is actually not a SCAM.
Also i hear every now and then that people claim that gambling site scam them when actually they do not follow the rules like multiple accounts restrictions and other such stuff. We need to read the rules and regulations carefully before paying at a certain site.
814  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Upbit hack ...going to Huobi Korea! on: November 27, 2019, 06:32:26 PM

You are probably referring to the Upbit hack which took place today as per the heading of your post. Luckily, the hack did not have bad impact on the prices. Bitcoin did move below 7000$ but recovered quickly and upbit has also announced that they will recover the loss for everyone so practically no upbit user lost the money.
815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Satoshi Conference 2020 (Dubai) on: November 27, 2019, 04:37:34 PM

Hello Every Ones,

I have been thinking to organise a Bitcoin-Satoshi Conference since many years, but could not do it because I was too busy with other things. So, I have decided to host a Bitcoin-Satoshi conference in Dubai 2020. It will be good idea to invite all the Faketoshis there, and of course they all can meet the real Satoshi in a Satoshi Round Table gathering, if the real Satoshi suddenly turn up there in Dubai.

I need some logistic support from Bitcoin Community, particularly from the Bitcointalk Forum members. If you would like to attend and assist the Bitcoin-Satoshi Conference in Dubai, Please DM me.

Regards,

Moses, BitcoinMoses

I really don't get your post. First are you organizing a Bitcoin-Satoshi Conference ? I mean who are you ?  Cheesy Why would anyone come to your conference unless you are a famous personality.

I will arrange there a Bitcoin Dance and Dinner Party.
Also Satoshi is only waiting to attend your conf.  Maybe for a Dance party Cheesy  Whats special in your conference. I am sure you are joking on the fact that satoshi will never reveal himself.
816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 7 on: November 27, 2019, 03:39:13 PM
I was so busy for our upcoming competition for Robotics at school that's why I wasn't able to come up with a crazy idea yesterday, and actually even now I wasn't so sure about a thing so here's a little bit easy for all of you.

What if you have a kid on the house and you're currently making bets online and you accidentally have a phone call or what so ever thing you might do on that time and suddenly the kid mistook it for some fancy game and make bets on his/her own, would you be upset and get angry to the kid? Or would you rather trust a child's play on this scenario?

Due to our late discussion, thread will be open until Saturday.

I will not trust on child play. Also you have mentioned "Bets" and not the gambling games like "Dice" etc. I can trust the kids on dice games which are purely luck based, but i will surely not want the child to make a bet on any match.

By the way, its only take a CTRL + L to lock the computer before taking a phone call.  Wink
817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Damaged salary on: November 27, 2019, 05:19:53 AM
I am not sure what you mean. I really hope that you posted by mistake in gambling, since the other option would be that you've been gambling with money you clearly didn't afford lose, which nobody should do.

I'm talking about how hard it is when you lose everything at stake, what feelings you have, and what decisions you make.
That's exactly how I feel, and I had a strong desire to reach out to these people

In the first case you should never risk your whole salary in gambling. That's the silly mistake which most of the gamblers make. If the gambler is unable to understand the risk in gambling, he should not be playing it . I normally try to gamble with a limited amount and it is a very small portion of my total earning, and in this way even if i lost the amount, it will not have much effect on my overall life and income.
818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOTHING IS ABOVE BITCOIN on: November 27, 2019, 05:00:26 AM
Adam Back, CEO of Blockstream and HashCash, has said: "Nothing is above Bitcoin, no Central Bank Digital Currency, no stable coins."

He continued that: "I think that blockchains are more about permissionless, uncensorable usage and free market money. I think while it is possible and useful for some use cases, like crypto trading, to have stable coins, they inherently fall short of Bitcoin as they have custody risk, and if there is a central bank underwriting also traditional establishment interests reflected in the operation which may look unattractive to users."

Source: https://cointelegraph.com/news/exclusive-nothing-is-above-bitcoin-no-cbdc-no-stablecoins-says-blockstream-ceo-adam-back

What Adam is saying is technically correct! However, we need to look at the reality! The benefit of bitcoin is actually its biggest enemy to gain adoption. If bitcoin were not pseudo anonymous and easily trackable, governments around the world would have adopted it into the mainstream economy! Governments are protesting the inclusion only because they know that, its beyond their reach to control bitcoin!

So Adam is right technically, but the reality is somewhat different!

This reality which you are taking about will change one day. No one wants governments to take control of the financial system and no one want to pay heavy taxes. Governments cannot forever control this system and if people decide to use bitcoins and keep their saving in bitcoins (and not in banks), the banking sector will fail. Its just a matter of time when people will know the benefits of bitcoin and will use it in their day to day transactions.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: November 26, 2019, 04:27:54 PM
This is a good fight, I knew that there is a rematch between Wilder and Fury and this is the most awaited event that probably everyone's waiting to happen and now Wilder officially announced to have a rematch against Fury. In my point of view, Fury here probably is in underdog and Wilder will have a lot of bettors. Nevertheless, yeah, it's an unpredictable match because both fighters are good skills and both young. But I still choose Wilder here and waiting to place my bet.

Wilder has recently won the match against Luis Ortiz so he will be more positive to give tough time to Fury. I know it is difficult to win against fury but i am hoping Deontay Wilder to give a good match to him. We still have to wait around 3 months for this interesting match.
820  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com SPORTS BETTING NOW LIVE! 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 on: November 26, 2019, 04:02:28 PM
Today i received the email from stake that sports betting is now available on Stake.com and whats more there is some bonus to claim too. I got 0.0034 ETH as bonus and was very excited to see this. There are a lot of sports to choose from and everyone can bet on their favorite sports.
One thing which i thought that sports betting link should be more prominent on the home page as i myself took about a minute to find where is sports betting link on stake.
