What will happen when we will die ?
There are many religious and scientific point of view and theories on this matter.
What is actually logical and what will happen after death ?
922  Other / Meta / Re: Ann thread bumping group on: November 06, 2019, 05:37:02 AM
There is only one way this can continue that if any person have few high quality accounts with merits and they have the power to bump the threads but i am sure no one will be doing the bumping service with high quality accounts.
High-merited users can easily bump threads without any need to make a post. They can super-bump the thread. This is much more effective that mini-bump.
At the time I am making this post, there are 6 threads on the first page of  Announcements (Altcoins) boards without any posts in the past 36 hours. These threads have been super-bumped by high-merited users. So, there are some quality users not make posts on ANN threads but super-bump them.

There are people who follow the projects and they can super bump them too. We should not always look for the loop holes and should have faith in the ones who are bumping the threads for any reason they have. The main issue was the mini-bumps from the Newbies which has been resolved to a great extent after the implementation of new bumping rules.
923  Other / Meta / Re: How to get merit? on: November 05, 2019, 04:48:47 PM
Respect this post, as a newbie i dont know how to get some merit, is any one can explained to me by replying this post, your reply will be appreciated. Thanks a lot god bless.

By now in the last few days you have already earned 11 merits. Did you know how you get them ? You are good at painting and therefore you got Merits for your drawing in 10th anniversary art contest.

This is a perfect example of getting merits. Just be helpful to the community and post only where you have interest. If you post at places where you have no knowledge or interest, you will end up posting which no one wants to read and hence no one will give you merit for useless posting.
924  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CryptoTalk started paying its users for posting. on: November 05, 2019, 04:08:30 PM
Here is his post history: https://cryptotalk.org/profile/41-cryptokram/content/

Some snippets caught by o_e_l_e_o:

Its clearly that they do just really mean about post counts not totally on the quality of those things. For having a 3000+ post in a month then
its no surprise that 99% of them were trash. Its impossible to think that someone would able to make constructive post in a matter of minutest
even how fast he is in typing and thinking into certain topics.Well its their own jurisdiction though even it isnt worth it in our eyes, we cant do anything.
Most of them were generic replies so it won't take even minutes for someone who has good type writting skills. But 3500+ still not imaginable in a month I guess this was done by group of people atleast 5 or 10 so they can take shares for everyone from the rewards,0.1BTC still huge amount for anyone who just shitposting for a month.
5-10 people would post up for single account is overkill. 2-3 person would be possible because if we do just talk for single person then;
its really hard to believe but not impossible for a person who are dedicated to earn $9000+  in a month since he do know that he would
just need to shitpost all the way for the entire month and after that he would cherish that amount on his own after all the shit posting that he had done.  Cheesy

I always believed that if you do good and hard work, you will be rewarded good and if anyone cheats or do bad deeds will be punished. But it seems that a person(s) who cheated the bounty, was able to win 1 Bitcoin in the end. It would have been much better if the site admins & Moderators could have looked on more factors rather then just counting the posts blindly.

Moving further i think cryptotalk has gain enough attention and now they should be looking to take steps to improve the quality of posters on their site.
If they can start the highest QUANTITY posting competition, why can they start the Highest QUALITY Posting competition ?
925  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is 1 bitcoin is a good price as now? on: November 05, 2019, 03:55:18 PM
Don't enter now, it just shot up recently. Wait for the price to slide downwards then only buy.

How can you be sure that bitcoin price is high now and this is not the right time to buy. I think if anyone want to buy bitcoins, this is the perfect time because we never know when any rally will make the bitcoin price close to 14,000$ again. Bitcoin is in bullish momentum now and you will not be able to catch it, if the prices started to fly.
You can place buy orders in portions like buy some at 9200, 9000 , 8500 and place some buy order at 8000$ also, don't think it can reach that figure too.
926  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: do you think most people reads on the forum?? on: November 05, 2019, 02:36:17 PM
I think most people when making threads and posts do not realize that they shouldn't write that much. I think it's better that you write less because more people will read it and you will get better engagement in the comments. If you write longs posts many people get bored in the midle of the post and the comment irrelevant stuff.

I do not agree with it completely because if something is relevant, then people do not mind reading the whole thing with interest. I do not mind reading through pages if i am interested in a certain topic.

The sad part is that most people come here to make money, so their focus is on the writing and not on the reading.

927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin 2017 Price Rise was a Scam by Bitfinex using Tether(Fraud) on: November 05, 2019, 07:58:03 AM
That is, the whole 2017 bull run was faked. It's not hard for them because any amount of tether can be printed whenever they like.
If more manipulations like this continue to happen then, I think it's better for crypto to be regulated.

We can think of 101 reasons if the 2017 bull run was fake or real, but it was the Bull Run. Ever since then we are waiting for such a volume again which we saw in 2017 December.  Also the thing to be noted is that if anything is fake or a bubble, it will never come up again after the bubble, Bitcoin will again break its all time high and this does not happen with manipulations all the time.
Bitcoin by itself is so strong to break its previous resistance and there is no need for any artificial act.
928  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to start on Bitcoin? Where is the best place to invest? on: November 05, 2019, 06:51:05 AM
but if we are talking about the exchange
Which one you will recommend?

Ofcourse Binance.  Binance is the No. 1 exchange and everyone will recommend it to you.
But before trading at the exchange,i am sure you are well versed with how to do trading etc. Do not jump into trading because you heard that it is a quick way to make money, else you will be disappointed soon.
929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to earn merit as a Newbie? on: November 05, 2019, 06:03:27 AM
I couldn't find the details about how to earn merit as a newbie, and how to earn sMerit, I think this information is not here in this forum. I understand making useful posts will earn merit but what it means?

I have written a few useful posts but I have only 1 merit. Someone liked one of them for sure but it wont be enough to rank up.

There might be few threads which are offering merits for the newbies/ Jr Members for the good posts.
You can write on this merit giveaway thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5195967.msg52973742#msg52973742) with the post you think should be merit.

The scam address has already scammed more than $23k, check it here: https://etherscan.io/address/0x0132946103eFFfa43337128CF65F0B3531378e87
Fortunately, there are people reported that address and it has already been tagged with this warning:
Quote
Warning! There are reports that this address was used in a Phishing scam. Please exercise caution when interacting with this address.

I believe that guy will come back with other scam efforts on other coins with same method, and maybe other guys will apply that method to scam.

Just be highly cautious and be careful to protect your capital.

When you see my topic, please give your hands to stop that scammer ASAP by reporting that channel - https://www.youtube.com/user/thehotgeek - and that address - 0x0132946103eFFfa43337128CF65F0B3531378e87.

Isn't it is the same doubler scam other than the fact they are offering profit as big as 10 times the invested amount and used Youtube platform to scale their scam ?
Further they already gather $23k, isn't it a failure on our side as we are not able to properly convince and teach people on how to differentiate between legal and scam projects.
931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What makes you trust bitcoin related services? on: November 05, 2019, 05:03:30 AM
Hi,

I have some questions where I have been thinking about the past week.
Why do you trust some website/company with your bitcoins?

Let's say a bitcoin casino, what makes you deposit bitcoin?
Is it the provably fair? Does it mean you trust a site when the game is fair?
Is it the looks of the site? The amount of users there are? If there is an open chat where you can see active users?

Or something else that doesn't have a game that's fair, for example a bitcoin exchange, how do you trust them?

Overall: What makes you trust bitcoin related services?

Feedback is the only thing which i look for, when i need to check if i want to use the particular service or not.
You cannot really grantee that provably fair is truly implemented in a gambling site and even if you can confirm it, still there is no way to be ensure that provably fair site will not scam.

Same is the case with exchanges. If you see a lot of volume in exchange and people being positive about it, you can say it to be a trusted site. Low volume new exchanges are risky.

In short, Feedback matters most.

935  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Are Cartel Reason for Bitcoin Dump on: April 01, 2018, 01:46:02 PM
Cartels are not a problem, they are just a FUD. All these events mentioned in it cant be planned. You can't make all the countries of the world, obey to your plans. Below is the link of whole Fud article.

936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Possibility of Bitcoin's value to be zero on: April 01, 2018, 01:24:51 PM
I see here there is a mission from an institution that wants to exterminate bitcoin and replace it with a new coin that has its regulation, I do not know this intention is good or not.
Hi there, in connection with your comment, do you have at least a source to support this one out? I just want to know what is that coin which could probably abolish bitcoin. So that we could determine its purpose.

Bitcoin is popular only because it is decentralize. If we need to create a coin which is in control of some entity or governing body, then there is no need of such a coin. We are then happy with the Fiat system. Bitcoin sole purpose was to remove the control of the money from the Government and give it in the hands of the public.
937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumor in April Fools' Day on: March 31, 2018, 04:09:51 AM
Does anyone think of that in April Fools' Day, we have so much rumor in social network and newspaper about btc or crypto to raise prices and get started bull run market. Or we have many FUD to push prices down. In my opinion, we have some good news (there are also fake and real) to make the market grow again

Keep aside the April fool day, Bitcoin will be on bullish run from mid of April and there are a couple of good things which gonna happen in April like Consesus 2018 meeting etc.
The price may not change much on 1st april but maybe some big company or media make some interesting news on bitcoin on this occasion of April fool day. Cheesy
938  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin in 2018 will be at $50,000 on: March 27, 2018, 02:42:01 AM
Anyways this currency is unpredictable. In my experience bitcoin increase every year for example a year go its price was to much low but in December it start increasing. Lets see where bitcoin goes on this year End.
939  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger Receive Wallet Attack on: March 25, 2018, 03:50:48 PM
Has anyone been affected by this and would it now be a good time to buy another hardware wallet?

Also it I've been reading where it says to press the monitor before sending and receiving to verify your address is correct is that true as well?

What the hell is going on?
What do you mean by attack is someone steal your money? Since no one can steal your bitcoins in hardware wallets without private keys so how it can happen.I hope OP will explain the real case behind ledger wallet attack.

Yes, no one can steal your coins from your ledger wallet while it is offline but once you connect your Legder wallet to the system to move funds, a malware is designed to take all of your funds always. So there is always a risk whether be online or offline.
940  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a altcoin valuable on: March 25, 2018, 06:36:19 AM
Obviously the interest an alt gets. Interest is build mainly build by usability, price development and marketing.

Marketing and price development for an altcoin can be artificial and it may not be a real one. The one thing which i mostly see in the altcoin is its projects and its acceptance online. If you have an altcoin and there is no roadmap, no projects associated with it how will dev. gain the money to keep his coin stable and list it on exchanges other than just pump dump of it. Always avoid pump dump coins as they have no long term future.
