401  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Subaccounts in Bitget on: October 02, 2023, 03:19:04 PM
Bitget allows you to create 50 different addresses for each cryptocurrency. As far as I remember, in sub-accounts there is no possibility of creating a deposit address; there is the possibility of transferring assets between accounts. You can create different addresses within your main account and they will not overlap.

I haven't tested the subaccounts deposit address creation but in my Main Wallet, i can create different deposits address too and they will not belong to same wallet too, as you told.
By the way, its strange the Bitget give option of 50 subaccounts, FTX used to give such an option but binance do not give the options of subaccounts. Do we have any list of exchanges telling which have the option of subaccouts ?

Exchanges operate using a completely different algorithm than wallets. They can be used as a mixer.

Yeah, but then why people use mixers ? I mean aren't exchanges are the more cheaper way to mix the coins ?  or the mixers provides greater level of privacy?
402  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Mixin hack! CEO Begs Hackers To Return Funds and Take $20m Reward on: October 02, 2023, 03:00:36 PM
If this is an inside job, then i think that this deal will be done, Mixin team gets $20M for free and the reputation restored, Business continues, nice move !!
How exactly would Mixin team get $20M free if this was an inside job? I would like to hear the logic behind this.

What's more important, if this was indeed an inside job they woulnd't offer reward to their own employee piublically to give back the money because they would know who actually did it.

By inside job, i mean it is being done by the owners of the Mixin Network and not by any employee. By the way, most inside jobs are initiated by the owners or by the will of the owners.

From where do you think those $20 million rewward would come from other than Mixin? So how would it make any sense to hack themselves, then take $20 million of their own money, share among themselves and all that while ruining their reputation as that's what happens when clients see that someone managed to steal that amount of money.

Where did that $200 Million was hacked? It was not the property of Mixin Network, but it was the people's money stored on their platform.

So what's wrong if they get hold of $20M of the people's money and say they give it to the hackers (the mixin owners at the backend), return the $180M back to the network and resume the service? Nice Business Idea to fool people.  Shocked
403  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PNNV.com - Major update #2 - need your review, again! on: October 01, 2023, 10:17:04 AM
I had the chance to use pnnv exchange today because of the significant increase in the Binance withdrawal fee recently. Since, in Flush.com signature campaign (Not promoting lol) I had a budget of $30  for processing the transaction including the exchange, I couldn't afford a withdrawal fee of 0.001 BTC from Binance. So, I started looking for an alternative and suddenly, I got remembered about pnnv and tried their service. If I used Binance, I would get 0.0303 BTC after all the fees associated while with pnnv, I got 0.0308 BTC. That's a profit of 0.0005 BTC for me (Flush actually) and pnnv saved me from the hassle I had to go through. Thank you for this service. I will keep recommending everyone to use the service. Even if Binance decreases the withdrawal fees, I will probably keep using your site too.
It was a great experience. The transaction was very fast, as promised within 10 minutes, and with a fee of top priority as per mempool (I checked the tx fee + mempool fee). That's nice of you agentF and pnnv. Have a good day.

Hey,

After our conversation over telegram i have decided to return.

Thank you!

Is https://pnnv.com/ still the cheapest instant exchange? I was comparing it with exch.cx and found the below result.

PNNV

EXCH

I am not promoting any exchange but the purpose is that we get the best value and maybe this competition between the exchanges bring good result for end users like us.
404  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help a newbie! on: October 01, 2023, 10:02:25 AM
I'm new to the forum and so far I'm beginning to understand the structure of the forum but my challenge is that I don't really have enough knowledge on crypto prior to now.

I have done a bit of research on YouTube but the information their is a bit confusing as it's more theoretical and I doubt the once I have seen is updated lately.

I really want to learn the basics in cryptocurrency and would need guidance from expert from this forum.

What I need particular is a verified YouTube channel I can get an updated crash course crypto, books, website and any material or post on this forum that can give me proper guidance as a newbie.

hi OP, I hope you are healthy there, you are from Nigeria, there are quite a lot of active senior members there and I noticed that the local board from Nigeria is quite active in discussing everything related to cryptocurrencies, bitcoin and blockchain technology, you can search read about everything related to cryptocurrencies there (it's much easier to understand things when you're active on your local boards).

OP isn't being active on this thread (though he is active overall in bitcointalk), and has not responded to any of the advice being given to him. Hence we can't know which of the advice he thinks is good for him to get the knowledge about bitcoins.

I too agree that the local boards are the best place to start your learning journey as you can interact with like minded people and that too in your own mother language.
405  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mixin Network hacked - $200 Million lost on: October 01, 2023, 08:27:57 AM
It is definitely a tempting offer, but who knows what plan they have in the background. Maybe they did this just to catch them later on. Not the first time a company said A and do B.
It's certainly a double-edge sword. Maybe they want the hacker(s) to start communicating with them in a hope to aid government agencies to track the individuals and restore the full $200 million. No one would be crazy enough to accept going through identity verification before receiving the $20 million bug reward lol. Maybe they think they will discover more through the communication channel.

I think this mixin hack was an insider job though we have no evidence for this. The real hackers will usually not settle for only 10% of the award money and also when everyone knows the person, then it will be even more difficult for the hacker to survive (if the intention for the company is to identify and take action against him).
406  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Mixin hack! CEO Begs Hackers To Return Funds and Take $20m Reward on: October 01, 2023, 07:09:36 AM
$20M Bug bounty reward?!  Roll Eyes
I don't know if this is true statement or not, but it sounds like a desperate move from Mixin CEO...
I said many times that using cloud for anything serious is worst thing you can do, that is just computer from someone else.
In last few days I saw several users claiming on social media how they lost coins in this hack, but I didn't see any proof for their claims.
Strange thing in this situation is that all Mixin websites work as usual for me, and there are no information about this hack.

Say that a thief stole $200M worth of money and he will be so kind enough to return that money and get only $20M.

Someone, please tell the Mixin CEO that the hacker was not a bug bounty hunter but a hacker Cheesy

Because these hack incidents are not so easy to happen without insiders, but they cannot be exposed because we do not have evidence.

If this is an inside job, then i think that this deal will be done, Mixin team gets $20M for free and the reputation restored, Business continues, nice move !!
407  Economy / Exchanges / Re: 1337mushroom.exchange - Peer To Peer Crypto Currency Exchange [BETA TESTING] on: October 01, 2023, 06:41:42 AM
Hello thank you for your supportive words, I really appreciate your feedback.

https://docs.sleep.finance/team-backgound

Sleep Finance Seamless Test Net, you were correct we were thinking in the same direction, that’s exactly what sleep is, onboarding and liquidity services, still patching up security and roll out, contact me for anything.

I see the team in that above link have 5-15+ years of experience (can't be verified though) but that does not mean that the project becomes trustworthy. If you are really serious on getting the userbase on your site and have real feedback for improvement, you need to think about the options mentioned by hugeblack and others.

Without running a review campaign, you will not get anything, and if it is mandatory to complete KYC verification, I think the number of people who would be willing to do that here is very small. In general, if KYC were not mandatory, running a campaign for about $2,000 would be enough ($100 per review and about 20 reviews)

Also, for the forum members and the testing of your site, you can lift the KYC requirements for those who participate in the review campaign (in case you decide to run one).
408  Economy / Exchanges / Subaccounts in Bitget on: October 01, 2023, 06:04:57 AM
I created two subaccounts in bitget (https://www.bitget.com/) using the virtual emails (the one that appears by default).

So now i get different deposit addresses for every sub account in bitget. So i want to know that these address will always be different and will link to the wallet or completely separate ?

For example, in the Electrum wallet, we can create many BTC addresses but those are linked to each other in the same wallet. Similarly, the subaccount's wallet deposit addresses are linked too ?

409  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: October 01, 2023, 03:45:29 AM

I hate to tell too much about myself because I have told about myself so many times that I am sure that members get worn out from hearing my story.

You may publish your own story at the OP post of this thread, it will not only be motivational for the others but at the same time you will not have to tell from time to time again.

sure many members do get distracted into trading and distracted into shitcoins and then they realize that they should have had employed and maintained a more consistent and ongoing buying strategy, whether it was DCA or buying BTC on dips or some combination of those two.

The altcoins and the whole trading ecosystem is only made so that people sell their bitcoins for altcoins and keep holding bag of altcoins  Huh

As far as the financial help is concerned, i don't think there will be anyone here who can help you. You may ask help from your local people who are with you and have seen all the situation with their own eyes. Also you may continue to work/ business which you were doing before to get your life going.
411  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Question about Imported wallet and its address on: September 30, 2023, 05:43:55 PM

Never also taught about this, but thanks for bringing it up; we have to try that out too. My previous trust wallet was multi, but I don't have any altcoin balance on it that I can remember. I use Metamask for altcoins, but I will have to try this out some day, and for the part of it not having a sign-in message option, unless there is any need for it in the future, if not, I don't think I will need it for now, and if need be, I will look for a way to cross that bridge.

If your current portfolio has only Bitcoin then Electrum is enough but as stated move the funds to freshly created wallets never import wallets from addresses that are created by the closed source wallets. Metamask is available on Android too but I guess it's not that great cause you can see people complain about bugs and crashes in the reviews section. Whereas Unstoppable wallet is great compared to others but it may take a while to get used to it due to different UI and for the record Theymos even recommended it.

If you have a large variety of different crypto assets that you need to store, there's Unstoppable wallet.

To make it even more simpler, it is like that

-Electrum for the bitcoin and

-Unstoppable for the altcoins ( some altcoins you may not found in Unstoppable, if you had those you may find another wallet for them or a native wallet for that particular altcoin).

Both of the above wallets are open source and are good to go with. You can make cold storage with Electrum too, don't if it is possible with Unstoppable wallet ?
412  Economy / Service Discussion / Alternate to Trading View on: September 30, 2023, 04:30:58 PM
Almost everyone who is involved in crypto trading may use trading view (https://www.tradingview.com/). Most of the users will use the free trading view version while some professional and experienced may use the paid version too.

I would like to know if there is any alternative to the trading view which gives similar fractionality like a trading view but it is totally free of cost and provides similar value.
413  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised on: September 30, 2023, 04:45:08 AM
By the way, if all closed source wallets are not recommended, why do we use/promote Ledger Nano (Hardware Wallet) ? It is also a closed source as I know.
Who is we?

AFAIK, I haven't seen members recommend ledger Nano for a while. It's receiving heavy criticism even when they tried to make a comeback by faking their source code status

I just mean that we usually say that hardware wallets are safe and when we talk about hardware wallet, most common ones are Trezor and Ledger, Anyways now with so many issues with closed source wallets, i would avoid the closed source hardware wallets too.

New statement can be used for bitcoin wallet: not open source, not your coins.

That is what i was thinking too. The centralized wallets do not give you the private keys and the closed source ones, can still know our private keys through the source code, without the need to make the user being aware of it.  Sad
414  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 29, 2023, 05:48:24 PM
The match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is won by Bangladesh because of their good performance. Bangladesh won the match easily in 42 overs in which Tanzid Hassan obtained 84 runs, Hassan mirza has 67 runs and Litton Das obtained 61 runs.

The Second match was between Pakistan and New Zealand in which Pakistan make 345 runs. Target was good but new Zealand chase the target very easily with their better performance. Rachin has 97 runs and Mark Chapman make 65 runs and was not out. They won the match in 43.4 overs.

New Zealand won the today’s match against Pakistan. In the 2nd match, Bangladesh won against Sri Lanka. People think that Pakistan and Sri Lanka will win but here will get the opposite results.

Pakistan lost because Shaheen was injured, that’s why he didn’t play today’s match and New Zealand won because of Kane Williamson.

Sri Lanka lost because of their batting, other wise Sri Lanka had chances to win this match. The 3rd match was didn’t play because of rain. Afghanistan and South Africa didn’t play even one ball
415  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Plz help trust wallet haked on: September 29, 2023, 03:50:45 PM
From all the comments I'm seeing i don't think I will use my current wallet for future storage of my coins and tokens because I did another of Airdrops bac when I was still in high-school, I literally know little about crypto then. Your comments are helpful guys both for me and OP
What wallet are you currently using to store your coins/tokens? Is it open source, is it non-custodial and how reputable is the wallet. I can't really recommend anything for you right now because i believe you are talking about tokens and Altcoins, and i only have interest in Bitcoin and that's all i buy/hodl. But mind you not to connect your wallet to any airdrop website, if you do that your wallet will be compromised and your coins will be stolen, also keep your seed phrase very safe if you have one, and if the wallet you're using didn't generate a seed phrase for you, move your coins to a non-custodial wallet.

First of all, no matter which wallet you are using, never use your main wallet (which have your majority of the funds) to connect to any airdrop site etc. Make one spare wallet fo rairdrops connectivity, keep little amount of Eth or Bnb in that wallet which you need to pay as a fee to claim the aridrops.

Also, try to use and prefer an open source wallet over a close source wallet, like an Unstoppable wallet is must better than a trust wallet.
416  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] SINBAD.IO [Mix Your BTC Quickly] Signature Campaign | Up-to $225/w on: September 29, 2023, 09:48:45 AM
Of course they deserve more, no doubt about that, but the % difference undervalues the work of the other levels I think.
The top of the sheet got higher payment and the bottom (avatar) got higher. The rest stays the same for some reason.

I am not sure what was the payment for Avator before as I recently got selected for the Avator Campaign. I am happy for the members getting higher pay and it always feels good to be a part of the best paying long live campaign.  Smiley
417  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin October Month Performance on: September 29, 2023, 09:28:58 AM
How much will Bitcoin pump this October?
Some people and analysts are predicting that the price of bitcoin may increase in October. But I think the price of bitcoin may not increase as expected.  I think bitcoin can increase to $27400 to $28000 but can be the maximum price and later start to decrease and have resistance at 25000 again. But generally speaking, I do not think bitcoin price is going over $30000 in October. That is just my guess.

Despite the bearish sentiments in the market, i think the month of October will be the beginning of the positive momentum for bitcoin and this may continue toward the end of the year and also in the next halving year. The chances of bitcoin going below 24-25K will diminish as we move closer to halving.

Traders should focus on long trades as compared to the short trades and the best is that we don't trade at this moment. Just press the buy button and keep watching our money grow in the next 12 to 24 months.
418  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: September 29, 2023, 12:52:00 AM
If you continue to worry about the price in your DCA method then this will hinder you, it could be that you keep thinking about the price that has started to rise while still hesitating to continue? I think this thought must be eliminated at least whatever the price is if it's the DCA method then just do it.

This was my initial problem too when I started it was really hard when I kept seeing price movements, if you keep thinking about this then investing in the DCA way will not develop but you will be reluctant to continue because you keep seeing prices.
If the goal of DCA is long-term, there is no need to worry about it, it should be a habit for us that there is no stopping to continue DCA.

People usually prefer to do DCA if the price goes further down from their buying price, They usually stop investing / DCA once the price goes up from their initial buying price. This may be right for people who have limited money, but the real essence of DCA is to make a plan to invest certain dollars into Bitcoin on a regular basis. It could be weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or whatever timeframe but it should be consistent. While doing the DCA, you would not look at the price. Just hit the Market Buy button and move the bitcoin to your cold storage.
419  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: A Non-Custodial wallet, Atomic Wallet, being compromised on: September 28, 2023, 08:31:40 PM
Do we have the data revealing how many users were using the atomic wallet before the hack and how many people are still using this wallet?
No, we cannot get that data, but Atomic wallet claims that the hack only affected less than 0.1% of their userbase, so if that is true, maybe so many people who don't know the right thing to do would still be using Atomic wallet.

Everyone who hears this news should stop using it even if they do not fall in this 0.1% category. Once hacked, it can be exploit again either by the  hackers or by the team themselves.

Even if they were not hacked, it is still not recommended to use closed source wallets like Atomic wallet or Trust wallet.

Trust Wallet is even more widely used than the Atomic wallet. By the way, if all closed source wallets are not recommended, why do we use/promote Ledger Nano (Hardware Wallet) ? It is also a closed source as I know.

I don't get why Mods don't ban this shitposter. Plagiarism isn't allowed, and all his posts are "low effort".

For a Plagiarism ban, mods need a text book copy & paste and since this guy is not copy-pasting anything but using a modern way of Plagiarism, that is writing posts with the help of Artificial Intelligence.

You appear to have several more alts, as well. I can go find them and connect them if you'd like.

He may not respond now as he would not like further investigations  Cool
