542  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason behind the Bitcoin price could reach $50,000 in 2020 on: May 07, 2020, 01:35:13 PM
Here we are again those expert on crystal balls are speaking of their wild guess just because the price is slowly increasing

I can see that BTC is gradually moving its pace as we approach halving but reaching 50k$ soon or even this year would not be happening. The crisis all over thr world is still ongoing and evej though a lot of people wanted to invest to rise demand, there are still people who needed to allocate their funds somewhere. Also we will experience a series of dumps before even going to bullish season first.

Id rather see myself what its direction for the next few months than listening to these self proclaimes analysts

Although many people are claiming the bitcoin will reach 50,000$ in this next halving but i will be happy if it will reach 24,000$ this year. I think this is a realistic number and bitcoin can reach this by December of this year.
543  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Halving about to make a major move? on: May 07, 2020, 01:17:25 PM

This shows how much interest is among the bitcoin holders when it is related to halving. Halving is a major event which comes after 4 years or you can say that bull run also comes because of halving.
Regarding the price, nothing can be said with surety but i like bitcoin gradually clearing the resistance and moving up.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Play? on: May 07, 2020, 12:23:51 PM
There is a gambling site that launched that feature where you could play charity games. I think it was FreeBitco.in, i dont know the procedure but you could try and head there. Also i hope they could add some transparency to the donations in how it is used to help those people who are in need.

FreeBitco.in do offer a charity program for covid-19 but that one is completely different which the OP mentioned. In that program the freebitco give certain percentage of amount which the people wager in certain period of time. You can find COVID-19 Fundraiser ROUND 8 FreeBitco.in information.
545  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Play? on: May 07, 2020, 12:09:12 PM
I don't know if there are already some casinos existing with the folowing features:

-In every losing bet, 1% of it will be donated to their handpicked charity
-For every win, only 95% of the pot will be transfered to your wallet and the remaining 5% will go to your handpicked charity that is also available on the platform.

If something like this exist, will you still play? Do you think it is a bad idea to make the users make a donation in this way?

Which gambling site offer this type of donation ? If you know anyone , do let us know.
I will still play with these conditions because if i lose i will know that 1% of my money is denoted. Also in case of win, i will be denoting 5% which is also good because we should all be giving some charity in these times.
546  Other / Meta / Re: Does SMerit expires ? on: May 07, 2020, 04:53:43 AM
I can't think of any proper reason of why people will not spent their smerits.  One reason can be jealously as they do not want other members to grow up quickly than themselves and hence do not send any smerit.
That may be the reason for some people for not sending their smerits. It even take me long time to save some smerits and start a merit contest for example. In my own reasoning, it is completely a waste of time and also useless in hoarding smerits and leave it as it is rather than sending it to the users who post constructively.

Making a contest for giving away smerit is also not a very good idea unless you have a lot of smeirt to give. You don't need to start a contest to distribute the smerits as if you look around, you will easily find the posts which deserve some attention and merits.
547  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: May 06, 2020, 05:21:04 PM
Can you consciously and willingly stop gambling at any time?
If you can do the above, you have great control and discipline, of course you are not an addict and you deserve to gamble as much as you want.
If not, clarify your ways of stopping gambling.
I gamble uncontrollable, but never go beyond my budget. I could risk all my gamble budget for the day in a single game which could turn out to be a mistakes or profitable choices but it never leads me to tapping into funds that wasn't intended to be used to gamble for the day. So I think I'm in control.
Well I think it is OK since you have alotted budget to it. If your ran out of your budget then you know you're going to stop but if you are lucky enough to win continuously so you will not run out of money then it is better. I think it is not uncontrollable. Maybe the most appropriate words to use is, you know your limits. You know when to stop.

Everybody stops when they are out of budget. There is nothing special in it. Clever gambler is who knows when to play and when to stop and does not wait for this bankroll to be finished. If you go in gambling with a plan, you will then play a controlled game else you will just keep on playing and lose everything if you do not have any plan.
548  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sport betting site offering bets on the Covid-19 pandemic. Worst site now. on: May 06, 2020, 05:03:54 PM
While watching a streamer of their gambling bets they showed a site where they had lines for something to do with it. Embarrassed
I was appalled when I saw one of these sportsbetting sites were having odds on the covid19 virus.
I didnt see the details of the bet but it couldnt have been good. Undecided
They should lose their license if they are putting lines up for this as it not a joke or something to bet on.

Can you mention the name of that site which offer betting on covid-19 virus ? Maybe you have told before but i have missed it. I will definitely not play there even if had my account on that site. This is extremely bad act for them as it shows that they only want to collect money no matter how it comes.
549  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: May 06, 2020, 03:24:51 PM
Esports is getting more attention just thanks to pandemic lockdown. I know that it was already big, the first ones were small time lan based games and right now we are talking about finals at stadiums and all that, so we know even before the lockdown it was getting big

Actually esports was always big even before the pandemic lockdown. Alot of gambling sites has included them in their site as well however this is just a new case where alot of gambling site which accept bitcoin also included them.

Dota is still the leading esports game to bet on, despite being in lockdown for now there are constantly alot online tournament that includes alot of top teams to compete so it is very interesting to bet

I don't think that E-Sports was so popular among people before the pandemic.  Even fortune Jack introduced esports on their site in this pandemic. Many sites took the similar steps because no other sports were live in these days. Due to this many new people begin to know about esports.
550  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | Crypto Powered Sportsbook and Casino | 🎰 🏀 ⚾ 🏈 🎾 🥊 🎲 on: May 06, 2020, 03:02:27 PM
I think they offer more incentives to less active players for this reason to give them another good reason to return to play actively and regularly, and perhaps for some to make them play only on stakes and not on other sites in order to increase the number and consistency of their bets, however an increase of the minimum bets would be very welcome

The ideal situation will be give incentives to both the active and inactive or new users  Smiley

These are basically marketing strategies and these sites take this decision on the basis on their budget and whats suit them best.
551  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 06, 2020, 02:37:24 PM
That model of power cricket failed and this new model of "100 Ball Cricket" will fail too because the rules of the games are too much complicated. It may be good for the players or the teams competing with each other, but the spectator does not want to indulge in so many complex rules. The current three format of cricket are enough and we do not need to experiment more.

Agreed. The ECB came up with a new format, just for the sake of it. The duration is not much shorter when compared to the T20 format, and there are additional rules added which may make it too complex. Anyway, let's see how the fans react to this format. There will be a lot of hype and advertisement, and I guess that they'll get a good crowd response. But I don't know whether they'll be able to sustain them.

When this new format of tournament will start ? Will it be limited to England or international teams will participate too ?
As all the sports is on hold worldwide, how can this tournament be played when the world is suffering from covid-19 disease?
552  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: May 06, 2020, 02:26:50 PM
That  is awesome. I really hope he does not challenge his luck again. But that is pretty possible. People think, it can happen again. That Is nearly the same in trading. Many people wants more and more and then the train has already leaving the train station.

I also wish he remain firm in his decision and do not gamble again. Many a times when people won something big, they make big commitment with themselves but with the passage of time, they forget their words. He is very lucky to win this amount and he should do business with it, and not gambling.
553  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: May 06, 2020, 12:37:51 PM
Answer to this question depends on several factors, and the most important factor is of course where you live! While in some countries gambling is illegal (and more than that, we can say rejected by society), in some countries it's legal and it's not wrong if you are doing that!
I don't have special job, I gamble and most of the people that knows me know that I play poker and other gambling games. I don't hide my wins and loses, I talk openly about gambling, what that means to me and why I gamble! Others can accept that or not, but I don't care about that!

Wherever you live, and whatever laws in your country, you are always better to keep quiet about your passion for gambling! People are absolutely everywhere bad attitude towards gamblers!

If you care about the people then you will not be able to play or enjoy gambling. Just forget what people say and think about you if they find you are doing gamble and you stick to what you are doing. If gambling is illegal in your area, then you should hide this fact that you play gambling  to avoid any legal action against you, but in all other cases, you should freely play gambling.
554  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering More or Wagering Less on: May 06, 2020, 09:53:07 AM
It's a general perception that if we gamble more, we can get more profit. Also we see gambling sites offering wagering competitions. The more you wager, you become eligible for a reward or prize money.

What's your though on this ?   Wagering more makes you win more money in gambling?
There are many sites conducting wagering competition and the gambling sites are getting their desired results as there are people willing to place a bet and showcase their competitive spirit, i have seen some trying their luck to win the competition by wagging huge amounts at very low odds just to be on the top of the list and i have seen at certain times the competition level is low and that is when you can get on the winners list at least in the bottom but majority of the time the competition is high. I have tried Wolf bet daily races, it is fun as long as you are not loosing much  Grin.

I also tried to wager by using very low odds. By this way i am able to wager a lot and also not wining or losing much. But there is still a lot of risk using low odds. Sometimes the low odds can make you lose if you're unlucky on any day but in most cases you are safe with very low odds wagering.
555  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why most gamblers can never hold onto big bag? on: May 05, 2020, 01:33:36 PM
I have one friend who used to play dice in stake.com, he started with a very small fund ($100), out of that money, he managed to have a balance of 24 ETH at some point but unlucky guy lost everything in one day. Once again, with the bonus he got from stake, he managed to cross 30 ETH within less than a month but yesterday, he lost everything once again.
How come he lost everything one day? Do most of the gamblers lose money in such way?

The only thing which comes to my mind is that gamblers in general are greedy. That's the only reason they always lose the profit which they gain from winning. If gamblers overcome the habit of greediness, they can earn good amount of money from gambling.
556  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Before Experience On Gambling...!!!! Stay Safe. on: May 05, 2020, 01:09:49 PM
As everyday, ending the day with sleep is the routine of everyone. Same as that I went to sleep with my girl, she was sleeping next to me placing her hands over me. In between I woke at the midnight, and I wasn't able to sleep till 1:00 AM. I started to gamble on mobile, my girl has placed her hands over me. Within a minute she suddenly woke and started to cry what happened to you. Your body sense different, and kept questioning, are you feeling Ok. Please feel free to say if you're feeling uneasy of anything. I understood it is due to the gambling, consoled her promising that I won't gamble for now. She advised me, when we're in sleep and an immediate increase in the heart pumping has got highest chance of cardiac arrest. Finally it has got to be one of the memorable days of my gambling.

Lets stay safe while gambling, though it is fun and excitement source there is lots of pressure being experienced by each and every gambler as we risk our earnings for a bigger amount.

I do not think this has to do anything with gambling. You kid may be woke up due to some other problem or perhaps frightened in the dream. I also gamble or play any other games at night, if i am not able to sleep.  Smiley

Spamming for money is allowed here?
This guy is really annoying, he even dont hide that pd/stake hire him for spamming.

He is not spamming at all. This is the stake ANN thread and the representatives from stake can tell us about the updates which they are publishing on other social media platforms like twitter.
