3341  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: September 03, 2017, 06:03:07 AM
In my opinion, fee tx occur as now still quite fair. Indeed, when viewed in fiat form value is quite huge. However, i feel no objection because in principle i need fast confirmation process for buy or sell transactions against fiat. Rather than low, but very slowly confirmed.

I don't completely agree with your statement. The transaction fee is ok for high transactions of big amounts but for those who wana send 1 dollar , 2 dollar or even 5 dollar , the fee is even more than the amount to be submitted itself.
3342  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: i find site similar to bitcointalk on: September 03, 2017, 04:07:29 AM
It looks like your forum. It doesn't like similar but the topics they copied from this forum.

They are created a lot of topics but very few or no replies to posts. I don't think anyone can replace bitcointalk forum so easily.

The Forum look similar to this one is that both are based of SMF (Simple machine forum). The dev on that site after implementing SMF post similar names of board and child boards to make it look similiar to bitcointalk but ofcourse he cant bring people and traffic to that forum. Bitcointalk has been established as the most old and effective forum for bitcoins and digital currency.
3343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Notary Platform - [BOUNTIES LIVE] [ICO september 22] on: September 03, 2017, 03:58:41 AM
I would definitely love to see more people get it a smart contracts and the things that they can do. Notary  reminds me of legal contract sort of things and i hope this will be one of the best project in this quarter. Lets hope Notary platform solve people problems in the legal way also.
3344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XRB]Cryptocurrency's killer app: RaiBlocks micropayments on: September 02, 2017, 05:57:35 PM
Asking this yet again. What are the legal regulations for faucet based distribution and how are they being integrated into your project. Cryptocurrency is an anonymous set of code. Cryptocurrency is based on a decentralized community. A notary is a person that is witnessing the fact that you are who you say you are, a completely identification based program. How are you going to make distribution completely Anonymous program instead of ICO that backs up someone's identity.

3345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Two Recent Picks - Storj & Syscoin on: September 02, 2017, 12:43:25 PM
Hey BitCoinTalk,

I'm a brand new user. I've poked around at this website for a while, and I'm glad to finally be a member. I've been looking for a place to simply discuss my picks, and read about others picks and not have to worry about blatant shilling of coins that are nothing more than a cash grab.

I'll start with my first coin, SysCoin. I picked this up two days ago because I read that SysCoin was being implemented into Microsoft's Azure Marketplace:

https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/syscoin-joins-azure/

http://www.nasdaq.com/article/microsoft-azure-bringing-blockchain-closer-to-real-world-use-cm835914

So far, I have made about 20% back on that investment. However, that was more of a fluke and it seems the price is currently being corrected. Being adopted by Microsoft is huge, and that is why I feel so comfortable with this coin. Also, it doesn't hurt that Nasdaq.com reported on it!

My next coin, Storj. I made a small investment into Storj earlier today. Some of you may know who Kim Dotcom is, if you don't I'll briefly explain. Kim Dotcom is the founder and creator of Megaupload, one of the best (in my opinion) and biggest (fact) file sharing websites online before it was shut down. The past few months, Kim has been talking about Megaupload 2 in the works. Here is a video of how it works:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOAvSwX7Aqc

Now, if you pause that video at 0:41, you will see different options for different places to upload. Storj is the top listed platform, which tells that this new way of file sharing will implement Storj's technology a lot faster than most of us expected. This platform also allows for people to upload via Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud, etc.

In the future, when an ICO is announced for BitCache I will definitely be picking that up as well. Kim has a history of shaping the way that the internet works, and I believe this is going to be another one for the history books. How this will effect Storj, I have no idea. But either way I think it is a really cool project that has been needed for a long time.

Anyone here currently holding Sys or Storj?
Seems like a nice start but you have to remember that while you have picked a couple of coins that have shown a pretty stable history most points will not behave that way, and you can't even guarantee that these two will. You can go to bed one night and get up 6 hours later and find that your portfolio was valued at X number of dollars when he went to sleep and now it's worth a tenth of that or even less.

Make sure that you have a firm foundation that you build from and you don't get too complacent counting on things not to get crazy. I dont know exactly about Storj but Syscoin has some great potential.  The recent price decrease for Syscoin is just due to the fact that all altcoin were dipping because bitcoin is rising.
3346  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Taxi on: August 28, 2017, 04:31:34 PM
Bad idea i wouldn't mind paying bitcoin for my taxi service wt all but the issue is most merchants always want atleast 1 confirmation and get 1 confirmation can take 40 minutes with the minimum fees or 10 minutes with highest fees. The only solution would be by assuming the fare and sending in before reaching the destination but no solution for fees you can consider the fees as tip

The tx fee in this scenario is not much concern but the confirmation thing is really a serious factor. After dropping the customers to his destination, both the taxi driver and the person taking the taxi cant wait, not even for 15 minutes to complete first confirmation. (if the confirmation goes very fast  Wink).
I think Swegit has increased confirmation time, but we need it to be instant confirmation for most of the business including this taxi cab one.
3347  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: And now Vietnam to legalize Bitcoin on: August 28, 2017, 04:16:28 PM
Earlier vietnam was very skeptical about bitcoin just like China and Russia. But now,it has changed its stand and has decided to legalize bitcoin. It is said that new regulations would be implemented by the year end.

         www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-08-26/vietnam-plans-legalize-bitcoin-2018

I saw this yesterday on MadBitcoin's show on the World Crypto Network which I recommend btw:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtGJBjGQXq4

It's a good way to keep up with everything relevant that happens on a daily basis without having to read anything. I like to watch these videos while I do other things like a radio program.

As far as Vietnam accepting bitcoin goes.. well the more acceptance the better, we'll see what impact it has on the market.

I do not like Thomas's tone of speech. He should just talk without any antics. Yes, it is very informative... but I fall asleep

after the first 10 minutes. I hope Vietnam will follow the same route as Japan... just leave the damn thing to grow on it's

own and welcome the extra tax income that are being generated from this. {Bitcoin tourist income}  Cheesy

Maybe not now, but in near future Vietnam will surely legalize bitcoin. Not only Vietnam, but all  the countries will bound to make it legalize and it will be only because of people demand. Videos on bitcoin like these on youtube surely will further help bitcoin awareness among more people. I am happy to see this video and Vietnam news.
3348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Japan the leader of Bitcoin trading on: August 28, 2017, 03:58:16 PM
Hmm, I don't think so Cheesy. In my opinion I think China is the country have biggest trading volume in the world cause Bitcoin industry is very develope in here and you can easily find informations about the biggest bitcoin mining factories in the world, It's being in China Cheesy

China and Japan , both of them are strong in cryto-currecny world and they are the pioneers in making bitcoin stronger than before. Both have strong competition of making high value bitcoin farms and mining farms. China is no doubt have better and bigger farms but Japanese have strong investment in bitcoins and trading stuff.
3349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you see alts have chances against Bitcoins? on: August 28, 2017, 03:51:19 PM
If we compare them now , it is obvious that bitcoins are the best crypto currency and alt coins don't get a stand in front of it. People use bitcoins to buy altcoins , alt coins was started because of the success of bitcoins , it became the first crypto currency to gain value of $4000. Bitcoins have a big community behind them and the users are increasing in numbers ,
But we cannot say about the future , alt coins like ethereum have good potential, it may seem impossible but can happen in future .
Yeah, current bitcoin is still number one but the future is unpredictable because the competitor with bitcoin is very much, if Bitcoin does not try to improve and upgrade in the future, the competitors will be defeated and replaced Bitcoin. This is a very fierce market, any time Bitcoin stop development, altcoin will also take advantage of the opportunity against it.

Altcoins have been trying to overtake Bitcoin for a long time now, with varying levels of success (if I am not wrong, Namecoin or NMC was the first altcoin, created on April 2011). Till now, Bitcoin has been able to withhold the challenge from altcoins, but I can't guarantee about the future.

This has been happening for few years now and ETH which is the top of Altcoin is still not worth 1/10 of the Bitcoin price. Even lately BCH / BCC (Bitcoin Cash) which tends to be a strong competitor of BTC (Result from the Hard fork), but yet is fail to give any threat to original bitcoins. All these things make me confident that we may never see any currency which may beat Bitcoins.
3350  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Chinese never seizes to amaze on: August 28, 2017, 03:40:36 PM
Haha, would be super cool if it is happening. Wouldn't they need to have some kind of an internet to mine bitcoins or are they only embedding it in smart devices which have an active internet ?
It would be really super cool to see this happening. About that, I think they also plan to embed bitcoin mining chips on appliances that are used in houses daily but I dont know how it will get an internet access. It is said in the site linked by OP that "Once the chips are programmed, the products will then connect to a cloud-based service and contribute their hashing power to mine cryptocurrencies" so maybe it would have some kind of program to connect to the internet by itself.

This is indeed an advance technology and it can be made into reality by the Chinese people as they are super technology experts and they have resourses , manpower and skills to produce such things which other might only dream. Programmable chips for mining in daily life appliances which not only make appliances more worth but also profitable for every one.
3351  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Become A Bitcoin Expert on: August 28, 2017, 03:33:23 PM
i don't get why you would need to be an expert on bitcoin even if you get to learn every thing about it, you won't be earning BTC unless you do something like mining bitcoin or do trading which is actually one thing that you need to be an expert on -- being an altcoin trader.

Yeah, thats what i feel that there is no use if you are an expert in bitcoin technology. You should be expert in some bitcoin related services most probably Trading  BTC with alts and if you got enough experience , this will mean you get benefit with your knowlegde and skills. Try to put your efforts in learning which can give you monetary benefits rather than just learning for knowlegde.
3352  Economy / Services / Re: Get Paid for every post... Payout weekly on: August 28, 2017, 03:20:57 PM
total fraud HAHAHAHAHAHHA..
you were kinda legit at first but then where you are now?? hahahahah
beware and careful everyone

Like other posted, and everytime posted,  you better put the funds on an escrow so from that you gonna gain more participants, and which most people looking for for each service ask here. It is the trust , your rank is still in low profile so better have it, like other says and also OP got red tag. How many times we have to tell people that do not trust the Newbie unless funds are escrowed.
3353  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 🔥 BITCOlN CASH JUST MINED FIRST EVER 8MB BLOCK!!!! 🔥 on: August 28, 2017, 02:26:01 PM
Are there multiple sizes of blocks that can be used, but limited to a couple of static sizes or is there simply a minimum and maximum size for the block and it behaves in it elastic sense.  8MB block is Hugh when you compare it with just a 2MB Block which BTC will get after the actual implementation of Swegit.
Both BTC and BCC will create a healthy competition which will eventually benefit the end users of digital currency.
3354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know and learn an ico project. on: August 27, 2017, 11:39:22 AM
So what I do is go to the announcement thread, search that thread for Ico, find where I left off the day before and I should have a hunk of 5 - 20 new icos. That's the point where you need to settle on three that you really want to sit and read the entire announcement for, use any personal preference you want to determine those three most people like to pick things that they want to get behind like a charity or particular service structure, at that point you're going to be reading about 20 pages of information between all three of them and you will have a lot of questions.
3355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do i need to know about create a new Altcoin? on: August 27, 2017, 11:30:35 AM
You got to run it a little bit so that you get your first couple of blocks, feed that information back into the original source code, and then compile it, for both windows and Linux. You got to make sure that all of that code is up to date, and available for people to see usually on a site like github. Then there's all the maintenance, business maintenance and everything that goes with running an actual coin.
3356  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How does everyone trade? on: August 27, 2017, 10:06:34 AM
Everyone trades using the same system the quarters up headquarters down. It's been used since economics has been around in the early 1930s when this system was first introduced. This is not a complicated thing this is not something special Bitcoin is considered a commodity and its price used to quarter up quarter down Theory.
3357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone truly understand IOTA? on: August 27, 2017, 09:57:03 AM
The problem lies and is always going to be, if you are going to do away with mining, then it has to be provide 100%, and no matter what that is going to put that in tire supply coins in either Developers or in this case the original funders hands. That creates matter of trust, and amount of responsibility some people are prepared to handle.
3358  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Proof of Stake Bitcoin? on: August 27, 2017, 09:42:18 AM
That is too deep of a coding change and I don't even think that can be pulled off as a fork. If you were really interested in creating this type of system then what you could do is create your own website, back it with a huge chunk of change add offer the service of a savings account for Bitcoin.
3359  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: How to find out which pool is most profitable for the day? on: August 27, 2017, 07:51:12 AM
And then of course there's your fools to concentrate on what coin you you are interested in. Obviously some things to look for when choosing a coin and the pool is the level of difficulty, the value of the coin, and the level of competition that you're going to have other and users. It's always great you can go in and find it nice easy-going and hit it for about an hour and put together twenty bucks worth of coins.
3360  Other / Meta / Re: Help with login on this forum on: August 27, 2017, 07:28:24 AM
But instead if the first list in this Bitcointalk forum, usually we will be asked to register an email account that you still use / or still active, so if for example there is something we do not want like forgot password can be verified quickly.

Also, how hard is it to get control of the email again. If it's at long enough you can probably just re-register the email address or there may be some way that you can get the password for that. Sometimes what you're looking at two websites and trying to recover password, it's easier to recover it off the secondary site that the primary site.
