2441  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino Faucet on: August 25, 2019, 11:57:58 AM

Primedice actually recently removed the faucet entirely. It actually upset a few people according to their thread. But if you want some type of faucet if you go to their forum they got some give a ways from time to time.

Besides from that, you can earn more than faucet by joined on their forum and you can get paid by posting in their forum (it's like signature campaign, but in their own forum).

Quote
I am not surprised they removed it because the Primedice faucet was probably the most abused out of all the faucets out there. I remember 2015 they use to give around 2000-3000 sats with the faucet and your rank didn't have to be that high to get to claim it.

Then when 2017 came around and there was massive crypto adoption so was there massive faucet farming. And from what the admin said, about 1% of people were abusing about 99% of all the faucet funds. I think everyday they lost like 20 BTC to faucet abusers and this is when BTC was trading around $15000 or so. So its a significant portion. So hence the reason they had to remove it.
I don't think they lost 20 BTC everyday in 2017 just from faucet. It should be much lower than that.

Who is giving 20 btc everyday in the form of faucets. This is simply not possible today and not even in 2017. There can be some measures which can be taken to stop the faucet abusers and the easiest way is to now allow the faucet earnings to withdraw. There should be a way where we can only play with the faucet money but can not withdraw it. This will prevent people farming the accounts for faucet abuse.
2442  Economy / Gambling / Re: as moneypot is closing who is next decent bankroll provider? on: August 25, 2019, 11:40:59 AM
Looking for bankroll plus open source soft provider.

I do not think there is any perfect replacement of moneypot yet. There are few apps which are made to act as alternative to money pot, but none of them offer the same services which moneypot provided.
2443  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com | The Most Popular Bitcoin Casino | V2 & New games out now! 👽 on: August 25, 2019, 11:16:40 AM
Becoming an High Roller has never been so easy.

jdagger shows us just that:

He was betting at 1.1x multipler which very risky to losing 0.05 while he only won 0.005 from those bets. But the one is more interesting is the guy with "hidden" stats, he was able to hit 420x multiplee with 20k sats, wonder how many satoshis he spent to hit that with ~0.08 btc profit

Yes I agree with you that its a very risky way of betting. I remember a few years back I wanted to move my rank up with Primedice and I wanted to have a big wagered BTC. And I found out that the fastest way would be to bet on a safe multipler such as 1.1x or so. That way you can bet like 1 BTC and chances are you will win and it very quickly moved up your overall wagered BTC while keeping a high probability of winning.

Basically it worked well... until it didn't. I think I remember I ended up hitting 2 losses in a row with 1.1x and ended up losing a huge chunk of my BTC holdings at the time. So it looks like a surfire way of gaining a large BTC wagered account however eventually luck won't be on your side and you will end up with a large loss which usually is higher that the smaller wins that you won prior.

I think I won like 0.1 BTC about 4 times so 0.4 BTC but when I hit that loss I ended up losing 2 BTC so in the end lost over 1.6 BTC.

As far as I can see, this kind of flat betting with high amount but low payout is happening very often especially when there is a race. The main purpose is to wager as much as possible with low risk to win something from the race. Indeed it is risky bet but if someone is able to afford the lose then I can say that it is the best betting strategy to used on the race.

If you are active on the telegram group of stake your find many races which give good amount on wagering the highest amount.
Yes this this can be easily achieved by wagering high amounts with low odds but a one single loss will give you a big loss.

2444  Economy / Economics / Re: Is bitcoin volatility here to stay? on: August 24, 2019, 06:35:02 AM
The volatility of Bitcoin will be there in the future because Bitcoin price is moved by the demand level on the market. And since Bitcoin is decentralized, no centralized authoritative body have full capabilities of causing stabilized price. The value and price is always determined by the activities of traders, holders and investors of Bitcoin although their activities are sometimes triggered by external factors such as news from influential personalities.
Yes. Bitcoin's volatility will be here to stay and as long as its decentralized in nature, it will change its price from time to time depending on its supply and demand. It will only stop from being volatile once it will be centralized and that imposed regulations will surely lessen its volatility. But to be honest, i prefer bitcoin to be volatile because i know it's the only way that i will make huge chances to earn big.

Nobody wants Bitcoin to become centralized as the main concept of bitcoin popularity and introduction was a de-centralized currency. We all want bitcoins to be a little bit stable but still retain its decentralized nature

I know the traders like bitcoin to remain volatile to they be able to make profits but do you know how many traders are there who are in loss because of this volatility. Due to this volatility many business avoid using bitcoins to perform transactions.

Do you want people to put on headsets and listen to this podcast for 28:33 minutes? why would people do that? I think you should listen to the podcast and then summarize what they said and post in this thread the summary you made

I would love to know your thoughts about where we are going and how you think the landscape will change.

if enter a lot of money in the crypto market, I believe that the volatility will not be very high as it is today, at least we will not see high increases and followed by very large falls
I'm visual guy , if only i have to put headset on my ears i prefer listening to my jazz and blues playlist rather than listening to some random podcast talking about crypto lol.

Don't you know that people at bbc telling a fish story? Especially when it comes to cryptocurrency,  i don't know why they do that. But it seems they realized it's a hot topic these days .. this podcast is beat the air.

What's more bad about these crypto podcasts is that they won't tell you anything constructive and randomly predict the upcoming movement of bitcoin and altcoins which will be wrong in most of the cases.

Since crypto is hot topic, we see many useless podcasts, trading signals groups and price predictions you tube channels running by those who do not have sufficient information about crypto and trading.
2446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Beauty Contest Gambling on: August 24, 2019, 05:57:44 AM
I would really like to see some more BITCOIN coverage of this competitions so hopefully a BITCOIN accepting site or exchange will offer odds
We all have a interest by the comments in here so there has to be many other people who have same interest in betting

I do like to watch these beauty and Miss world / Miss Universe contests but never think of betting on them.

Not a fan of pageants but even if I am, I ain't betting. There's so much happening backstage that it makes it VERY hard to predict who would win. One round Ms. So And So seems to be a great contender and then just after a swimsuit change or Q&A, she's gone. So much politics and backstabbing (even heard stories of contestants finding their clothes with runs or their shoes missing).

Very different from sports where (most of the time) there's no denying who won. I'd rather play dice than bet on a pageant contestant.

You are right that these beauty contests are not fair and most of them are pre-decided of who will be  the winner. There is lot of politics involved in it and I don't think anyone would like to bet on these competitions.
2447  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Often Do you Bet on Politics? on: August 24, 2019, 05:44:50 AM
I'm just curious about this betting thing about this politics since it is rare for me to see it.

I don't know if it is legal to bet to any political people but i never knew it is possible to bet on them.

This is something that is new to me i guess this is how gambling really is, betting everything from insects fight to politics, you name it.

Betting in politics is mean that you bet on the result of the elections. For example you can bet that Trump will win the elections or not  and same can be bet for your local political parties election in your countries.
Although i do not see this is very much popular among the gambling sites. No gambling site cover the local countries election etc.

2448  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: August 24, 2019, 04:06:38 AM
Is KYC is benefit to crypto people or not. what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing KYC.

Universal money and Anonymous is the biggest strength of btc BTC, now every country follows KYC and then it can be controlled by someone.

Now KYC is trend in crypto market..... Cheesy

Soon you will see that kyc will become mandatory for all trading and exchange sites. There is a high risk of money laundering in crypto market and anyone can transfer money earned through  illegal means from one place of the world to another. Having proper KYC will put some check and balance on such people, because in case anyone is suspect of money laundering, the exchanges can check his identity and provide them to the government authorities.
2449  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin help rebuild Venezuela? - Darb Finance on: August 20, 2019, 06:27:50 PM
I don’t think that Bitcoin can help Venezuela, but I’m sure that Bitcoin is already helping people who live in this country. Thanks to Bitcoin, many residents of this country were able to avoid financial losses associated with the devaluation of the country's national currency, which makes Bitcoin valuable.

At one side you are saying that Bitcoin cannot help  Venezuela and at the same time you are saying that bitcoin is already helping Venezuela. The two statements does not match.
Governments need to develop the system to provide jobs and other facilities to the people and alone bitcoin cannot help to rebuild the country. Its the plan and the execution of it by the government which may make the country stand on its foot.
You're right with what you said but the above user also makes every good point because the problem of Venezuela start with bad governments and if the problem is not fixed or well manage it might somehow affect the success story of cryptocurrencies user, investors and minings which reside there.

Yes, most people thinks crypto can change the economic conditions of a country, This is a misconception and Venezuela is one example of this. You need a democratic government also and dictatorship will never make economic conditions better. You can read more about it here https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-cant-fix-venezuela-i-should-know and know why the crypto adoption failed to recover the economy.
2450  Economy / Gambling / Re: How i can connect faucets? on: August 20, 2019, 06:14:54 PM
Otherwise, back in the year 2017 faucet and even airdrop are much more profitable.

Problem is alot of things in retrospect were more viable then we realised at the time.  I was mining Bitcoin in 2013 and it stopped being profitable but this was with a price varying down to 100 and it rose to 1000 in that year but still the difficulty rose alot so I stopped.

Here we are at 10,000 now and I wish I had carried on my mining into a little bit of unprofitability and just kept it for the long term.  It was actually going to be profitable to keep and since I already had the rig setup and everything all prepared I might as well let it fly a little.
I'm only mentioning this because when it comes to crypto we have to have a little imagination as to the possibilities not just now but overall in the way the world might change.   Iam pretty certain the world will change alot in my lifetime, broad statement but I mean it with regards to finance and especially FIAT.  We are in a unique focus change over in how economies and transactions and currency operates I think.

Obviously faucets, you arent going to go that far but I dont want to dismiss anyones daydreams as impossible.    Try for a little while, keep your proceeds in a wallet there after securely and with backup and who knows how the situation changes perhaps in your favour.   None of us know for sure tbh

And then theres this guy, I post a pic.   He mines the pokemon I think Smiley

Mining is a lot different from doing faucets. Mining is a proper business and it was really easy mining in 2013 when there was not much difficulty level as it is now. Even the faucets in old times give good amount (Satoshi) according to the current bitcoin prices but still I do not think it is worth doing faucets with 10 phones etc. We should be realistic and I think faucets is only for time passers or newbies in the crypto world, not more than that.
2451  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: if you want to win big...accept defeat on: August 20, 2019, 06:00:33 PM
Agreed, one who doesn't have the mind to accept defeat will go empty pocket. People should not be with a never give up attitude on gambling. It'll easily make us finish all our funds. With gambling get defeated means take a break, should not go behind the loss for a recovery. Very few lucky users get the opportunity to recover back the losses. Following them we should not stand a chance of recovery.
It happen to most gamblers because the don't know how to stop and accept defeat. In gambling, you must know when to stop and when to resume because if lack of self control can lead to consecutive losses and in the end you will end up with no money. Don't do revenge gambling.
I believe that in gambling, you have to learn from your mistakes. This helps you solve the problems you have made in the formulation of your business model. I believe that this could be the best mentor if you accept the defeat and learn from it. But making money in gambling is a bit more uncertain as compared to making it in cryptocurrency.

Learning from mistakes is the only thing which can save us from further loses. If we do not analysis why we loss, then we cannot never rectify our mistakes. If we are able to control ourselves, our mind and more importantly our greediness, we can surely have good results in gambling. The gambling is all about controlling our emotions and this skill will come with the passage of time.
2452  Economy / Services / Re: [Open] Yobit Signature Campaign / Sr. Member- Legendary on: August 18, 2019, 04:19:17 PM
Hey I saw yobit ad on CMC, any chance you will open up this campaign to lower ranked members also? I think you will get more customers by paying some of us because I know cmc ads cost a lot.

The marketing department of Yobit does not know how to efficiently manage their marketing. At one side they are paying good amount to display their ads on coinmarketcap but at the same time they are not willing to hire a decent manager for their signature campaign here.
2453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 18, 2019, 04:06:05 PM
USA is a super team so it's a gold for them again. Having 1 or 2 NBA player in one team makes them strong then how about a team consist of NBA player and superstar.

As for my PH team, I fully support them wether they go to 2nd round or not. Their bracket is tough and still long way to go in beating those opponents.

What about the china who is the host country for this world cup ?  Although china never won the FIBA worldcup before but it would be interesting to see their performance in this WC. They are in group A with Cote d'Ivoire, Poland and Venezuela in their pool.

According to the odds, China will advance to the 2nd round and their fate depends on who will be their opponent in the next round but i think they would not make it to the semi-final round. I saw them play in the NBA summer league, their roster is not that good.

I thought that China is the strongest team in the group.
Does Poland have a stronger team than China? In my opinion, I believe that China will beat all teams and take the 1st place. A @2.65 bet is a good one as well, so I would probably gamble for that.

This would be 18th tournament of FIBA Basketball World Cup and looking at the pervious results china has never won the world cup.  I do not think china would have any chance. United states won the previous world cup and maybe they are in the position to win it third consecutive time.
2454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: August 18, 2019, 07:41:54 AM
This is just an excuse. Who is stopping the rest of the teams from playing good cricket ? I know that Big 3 (England, Australia, India) has a lot of budget for the cricket and is favored by ICC, but then the others teams can come up with good players and proof they are not less than other players.
A recent example of NewZealand to reach World cup final and give England a tough time is a perfect example that any team can come up , if they are good.

It is not going to be easy. First of all teams such as Sri Lanka and Bangladesh doesn't even have a proper domestic structure. In Sri Lanka, the national players are directly selected from the clubs in Colombo and provincial cricket is not that strong. The same with Bangladesh. Dhaka clubs still hold the status of domestic cricket.

I am not sure for the internal structure of the asian teams as I do not live there but who is responsible to change their domestic structure ? You think the Big 3 will come to them and ask them to change their structure ?  These nations have to change their domestic structure themselves and remember srilanka also did win the world cup once and it was not by any accident.  This means THEY CAN DO IT.

Yes. Sri Lanka won the world cup in 1996. But their growth stagnated after that. They have a very limited player pool, as the total population is less than 20 million. On top of that, most of the domestic cricket is concentrated in Colombo. You will find very few domestic players from the Northern province or the Eastern province. SLC is projected to receive $115 million just from the ICC for the 2015-23 period, on top of the sponsorships and TV deals. I don't know why they are using this money to improve the quality of domestic cricket in the island.

Isn't 20 million population is not enough to find only 11 players for the team ?  These are mere excuses. If the cricket board is responsible and players are given good incentives and chosen on merit, I feel no issue why a good team can't be developed.

Also I see that in neighboring countries of srilanka they have T20 domestic series like  IPL, PSL , BPL  and I never knew why srilanka can't start such tournament ? it will help them find new talent and also generate good revenue too.

2456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever won a huge amount on gambling? on: August 17, 2019, 10:01:13 AM
In my experiences, I already won but a little amount of BTC only betting on a boxing fight which is Pacquiao-Thurman fight.

Now can I ask you, did you ever won a huge amount of money on gambling?
Share your experience.
Lots of times but I do average on 0.01 btc at least on multiple games I do play on like Dice and Crash games yet I do usually make winnings on these games
and sometimes with sports bet so I cant pinpoint where I do majority plays because it will just depend on my mood.
I have already won in gambling but definitely not a huge amount since i do not gamble most often. The fact that i'm enjoying every game i played is still the most important to me.I may lose some time but it does not made me depressed because i understand that in gambling there is very small chances of winning.
Dont need to play with frequent just to get a big profit. I only gamble a few times every week, I can get a profit of up to 0.1 btc with only 0.005 btc capital in sports betting, I used parlay that time. Big profits are about luck, and if you've gambled for a long time, you must have got it. and yeah the most important thing is to have fun, but being fun without profit will certainly not be enough right?

That's a nice price to get 0.1 from only 0.005 btc. How much time it took you to make 0.1 btc ?
I have not been lucky most of the times when i gamble. A months ago I tried parlay on the sports betting but I did not predicted all the matches correctly and hence faced a big loss. Its more easy to remember the loses than to remember the winnings in gambling.
2457  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Crypto Becoming More Accepted? on: August 17, 2019, 09:50:12 AM
I would say that it becomes more mainstream but yet not more accepted.
People try to understand more what cryptocurrencies are and what value can bring to our lives. However, I haven't noticed any company starting to accept cryptocurrencies as a way of payment. It seems like the environment is stagnant in terms of adoption.

The only reason for bitcoin and crypto not being used at the payment methods because the government does not want bitcoin to be used as a currency. In most of the places the status of crypto is illegal or not known, so merchants will not risk themselves to introduce bitcoin in their business and shops.
2458  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting feature at exchange on: August 17, 2019, 09:09:09 AM
I never like the idea of having exchange and gambling casino at the same site. Both of them are different and it does not match to have both services in the same place. That's the one reason why the good exchanges do not have any gambling features and good casino do not have exchanges platform on their sites.

I think it's just a matter of preferences.

You can simply use 1 website with 2 different homepages for each product. Say, a.com/exchange, a.com/gambling. It could save your cost too as you don't have to pay for 2 domains.

There are no fundamental problems when they decide to run 2 kinds of business at the same time, as long as they can serve their customer well.

Well, you know that gambling and trading have a lot of scope and they are not small businesses. It is difficult for a single team to handle both of these at a mass level.
Have you heard of a person who is Jack of all trades and a one who is professional in one skill and is therefore perfect in that.  Wink
2459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The secret of gambling? on: August 17, 2019, 09:01:02 AM
You will always to the point that you want enough winnings but you think you found a good strategy that you want to keep on, maybe because of mental fatigue but greed is the main factor.

Well, that is what we called a near to addiction in gambling. Though they are wanted to have a big profit and they always apply strategies on their own but you did not know how it works. But well, the fact is no one believed that there is a secret on this gambling platform. The real secret of gambling is to control emotion nor your self.

There is nothing like near to addiction to gambling. A person who thinks he is near to be addicted is already addicted by gambling.

I usually don't have secrets in gambling but one thing i'm comfortable playing in gambling is to have fun and don't make yourself get into gambling deeply or set a limit on how long you will play on a gambling site to avoid being addicted in gambling to much that will result in losing all your money or worst you will be broke.

There is no secret in gambling either. You need to be strong mentally if you want to come in gambling. If you are afraid to lose money, it better to stay away from gambling. Remember reward is only for those who have the courage to take the risks.
2460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 17, 2019, 08:47:25 AM
3. Never gamble with money that isn't yours, this includes taking out loans for the purpose of gambling  because this always ends in you losing all the sourced funds and will result in putting yourself in bad books with friends and family.

Agree with the list here but I believe there's a lot more of "habits" or actions that needs to be avoided when gambling. But just want to add here, since you already stated it, that although it's your money, think first if it's okay to gamble 'that' money. Yes you own it but for me, you still have to think about your priorities. If you need that money for an important purposes, then don't use it for gambling. Only gamble your EXTRA money. If you have more than enough of what you need, then go. But think first about your priorities and less priorities.

Taking loan is the insane decision and should be avoided in all cases. Some people take loan to invest again in gambling to recover the loss but as per my experience it will never happen.
I never understand what's going on a gambler mind when he take loan to play gambling ? Does he does not know that he can lose all that amount in gambling or he is just ignorant ?
