2561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin remains the king of Crypto Market? on: June 30, 2019, 03:52:17 PM
Bitcoin will remain the king of cryptocurrency for a long time. If you think some random altcoin will simply come to the fore and replace Bitcoin, it will never happen. If for any reason Bitcoin will fall, it will not because of any altcoin that appears to be a stronger contender of the throne. It will be due to the efforts by the governments and the banks. And if that happens, an altcoin will not inherit the crown of Bitcoin. Crypto will be starting all over again. And it is going to be a much harder battle.

Seeing the current situation of altcoins, I do not see any altcoin which could come up and take the place of Bitcoin. Even the XRP and ETH both have proved that they cannot come close to the marketcap of bitcoin despite being on No 2 and 3 position for a very long time period.

Also Bitcoin have been forked few times and none of the forked bitcoin has even managed to show any signs of replacing the original bitcoin.
2562  Economy / Speculation / Re: Calculate how much is Bitcoin? on: June 30, 2019, 03:35:58 PM
In January of this year, I managed to predict a bitcoin price of $10,000.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5090403.0
Many readers thought it was a joke!
It is very interesting, as it is now do you feel about my method Bitcoins assessment?
Has your opinion changed?
Is it worth counting the bitcoin market price with my approach at the moment?
https://medium.com/@igormoseich/cost-of-the-bitcoin-a2d5d360a8bf

And how can you claim what you said is right ? Did bitcoin stopped at 10,000$ ? It moved up to 13,000$. If you had some precise calculation you can have said around 12,000$ and we might have believe you  Wink

Even I can say that bitcoin will reach 20,000K and when it reaches that I would point out that I told bitcoin is 20K (while in actual its price might have reached 25K )  Cheesy
2563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ETERBASE: Europe's Premier Digital Asset Exchange on: June 30, 2019, 03:18:28 PM
I heard a good feedback from a circle of friends about this project, and I plan on stocking some for the future.

Can anyone tell me what's the ICO price of the coin, I would appreciate if you can give me a complete details. (bonuses, discounts)

Sorry for this lazy question.

I didn't see that information too. Maybe they didn't do an ICO, they are however listed on different exchanges that's a fact. Price is less than a cent. If they are going to be running the campaign for 10 month which as of now will be round 3, they are going to spend about 10M tokens for the promotion. This will really make the market running in big volumes but the price may keep low til all had dumped, that would take years and years.

This is one of those few ICO which were a success and ETERBASE is one of the best project around.
I have seen few people still wearing the signature of ETERBASE , I wonder if there is any bounty of ETERBASE running these days ?
2564  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Hold on: June 30, 2019, 02:58:03 PM
Hello, I´m 13 and I´m very interested in Bitcoin, because of this I buy BTC. Actually, I've been studying BTC for over a year to invest. Back to the subject, I buy BTC for 9.200 dollars, and I would like to know if you think it´s a good ideia hold btc until it reaches 20.000. Anyway, for now i´m going to wait btc until it reaches in 20.000 for me to sell. What do you think about my opinion? Wink

For sure you would not have bought the 1 bitcoin with your own money because no one can earn this much by the age of 13. But the good thing is that you have bought 1 bitcoin. Now you need to forget it and check it again once you are 26. You will be millionaire at the age of 26, provided you are not tempted to sell it in between these 13 years.
2565  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will the Bitcoin price be in 2020? on: June 30, 2019, 02:14:26 PM
no one knows for sure but the prediction can make spirit,
I also think that for 2020 the price of bitcoin will probably reach between $ 25,000 and $ 30,000 and now the price of bitcoin is $ 10,000 and we are in June and still have 6 months left and I'm sure 100k is very difficult or almost impossible.

Are you talking about the start of 202 or the end of 2020 ? Yes, bitcoin might be in the 20K to 30K range in the beginning of 2020, but by the end of 2020, we might see bitcoin touching 100,000$.  I might sound a bit unrealistic but anything can happen as we never know how high bitcoin will fly this time in the next bull run.
2566  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Facebooks's Libra cause the growth of bitcoin? on: June 30, 2019, 02:02:14 PM
At best

no one outside of the libra consortium is going to trust libra (and likely inside)

Alipay, Tencent or whatever will need a bridge to them ....

Large transfers between various systems will need to be done through a trusted zero counterparty risk with market depth .....  can any one say bitcoin....

I see that libra will somehow become associated with a BTC holding company to allow low friction to BTC then those that want withdraw to their private wallet.

So its hard to see how libra will not help BTC and be a massive on ramp,

Plus BTC has near a decade head start and a lot of dev and infrastructure in place.

The facebook libra coin will influence people to make use of crypto currency. There are many people who uses facebook but they never heard about crypto. But now by this facebook coin everyone will begin to talk about crypto and those who have less or no knowledge will start studying on it. In this way new money will come in crypto which will overall increase the marketcap of crypto currency.
2567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: June 30, 2019, 01:37:34 PM
Gambling losing streak,

I’m into gambling for about months now, and in my first game I was able to generate profit enough to be happy, I continued for the rest of my 4 weeks of playing, sometimes its breakeven but I know its ok.

My friend invited me to play with him in casino this time, I have enough money to play for so I decided to say yes. Bad luck comes to me this time, at first my loss was about $500, so I know it is still fine and decided to continue, but the moment we stopped I think its too late now since I’ve already loss $3000, a very bad day for me. I’ve lost the money I’ve worked hard for.

This is an eye opener situation for me, and I’ve realized that gambling was slowly eating my brain and my money. Now I’m broke but still kickin, this can be the proof that chasing your losses is not good at all and it should be avoided. Have the same experience with me? Don’t hesitate to share and give some thoughts for those who are suffering from sitution like this.  Sad

Although very tempting when you are on a winning run I kept my control and always thinks that it's not my lucky day everyday, and you know what it worked for me, the worst thing is getting out of your control and losing track of your bet, don't count your losses and your winning, you will be disappointed if you keep doing this.

Everyone needs to realize that no one can win everyday in gambling and no one can lose everyday/ all days in gambling. If we know this we can easily plan our games and do not take unnecessary risks after wining good amounts. If you go in gambling without any thinking and plan, then for sure gambling will overcome you and the loses will make you worry and bring tension.
2568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos can use AI to get additional edge? on: June 30, 2019, 01:15:25 PM
Gambling is all about random number generation, and provably fair scheme provides guarantees that casino doesn't cheat, but we also know that humans are horrible random number generators - we are very easily predictable.

There are many online demonstrations available, I'll just drop one here: http://www.cs.stir.ac.uk/~kms/schools/rps/index.php
After a small number of games, computer becomes quite good at consistently beating you at the game.

So, theoretically a casino can observe how you place your bets, then predict your next bets and make their own bets (they always go first) accordingly. The flaw here is if this algorithm is implemented too naively, it can be abused by players by making big amounts of predictable low-value bets, and then making a big opposite bet.
when Technology developed it is also one of the good factor for the development of any field if the gambling field accept the technology as an addition then it will be giving fun and extra involvement with the attraction of the the gambling very easily so that it will be acceptable for everyone.

Artificial Intelligence should be used in gambling sites and casino. This will give many new interactive and extra features which gamblers will enjoy.
AI can also be used to target different players with different types of games based upon their interests and past habits.
2569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i start a game here in the forum? on: June 30, 2019, 01:00:30 PM
The forum has a lot of information from the best game resources that are worth paying attention to.  Indicators of their quality are really reviews of many professionals who are also users of bitcointalk.  Only you need to carefully study the information and bypass empty words.  Nevertheless, bitcointalk is practically a big safe with a huge amount of valuable information about the entire cryptocurrency market and gambling.

Games and Round is the place on this forum where you can start any game but I do not think it is going to be any good unless your idea is very great and you escrow the funds. Without these two things you will not find any success.
2570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers needs to control their emotion! on: June 29, 2019, 05:42:42 PM
I was surfing for some old news articles. In that time, I have came across one news article.

Australian died after his 13 hours gambling with nothing in his hands last.

Check here. https://www.stuff.co.nz/world/australia/105184715/gary-went-on-a-13hour-gambling-binge-he-died-with-nothing-left

Really sad, please do not get upset in gambling investment. Simple, take it as easy game not worthy than your life...

I am not very much familiar in gambling casinos but there should be an attending physician to check if any one of those people gambling in their vicinity will show bad symptoms of excessive gambling, that guy has little support coming from his family, they should have seen the first sign if the guy is gambling excessively.

Why would any gambling site care if any gambler is addicted or doing more gambling ? Remember that running a gambling casino is a business (and it is not a social welfare program) and the sites will never implement anything which may decrease their revenue.
2571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SUMO WRESTLING is it entertaining? on: June 29, 2019, 03:28:49 PM
I did not see any threads related to SUMO WRESTLING and I have been seeing that SUMO WRESTLING is a good sport. Every players are eager to win and the results could.be predictable unless those who had made some fights already and becoming a veteran. Yet, they too still lose.

The sports has lots of excitement especially that the players had different approach, styles, technique and ability. The better also strategy that a player will make the better chance of winning the match.

Does anyone here do like or entertain SUMO WRESTLING?
Can we integrate it to blockchain and betting platforms?

We are here to discuss SUMO WRESTLING in terms of gambling and I do not know any site which offer betting on it. Since it a popular sports in japan, I am sure there will be some Japanese site which may offer betting on it. Maybe anyone from Japan can better tell us on it.
2572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: June 28, 2019, 06:22:25 PM

If KYC was required for huge withdrawals, it would be understandable, but providing a new site with KYC just for registration is nonsense.

Should not be even for withdrawal, if deposited with no KYC.  I see following logic:  wanna safety and KYC - play with real money , deposit from a  bank account,   wanna anonymity first - pay with crypto, withdraw with crypto. Nobody know who you are and if you played or no.

I think it's understandable why people use crypto to gamble, one main reason is to enjoy with freedom of anonymity, so if there's KYC required that site would not have a good market in the space. There's a big competition here, and we have a lot of option where to gamble and I'm pretty confident that majority will patronize a site that has no KYC requirements.
It is just up to users of what would they choose but think about all of the benefits of passing KYC vs no KYC and you will see the difference. No KYC means everyone can play on that site even kids can play as long as they have money to deposit but since cryptocurrency is anonymous then they can easily get access to any gambling sites they want.

It is the responsibility of the parents to advise their children not to play gambling. Gambling sites just cannot implement Kyc only to deny the under- age people access the gambling sites.
People need to remain anonymous while playing gambling and kyc is just not right thing for the gamblers.
2573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Comments on deposit bonuses on: June 25, 2019, 04:22:30 PM

Many gambling sites have deposit bonuses.
However, if you receive the deposit bonus, there is a condition for withdrawal.
For example, 10 times the deposit amount, etc.
What is the reasonable condition you think?

The gambling sites give bonus for a reason. They want to attract the customers and also want the gamblers wager at their sites. that's the reason we will see that none of these bonus are withdrawable unless you invest some amount in the site. If there were free bonus without any restrictions then everyone will make many new accounts and keep on collecting the bonuses.
2574  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Want to achieve success in trading? on: June 23, 2019, 06:25:34 PM
Trading is not easy at all. It is very difficult and technical work. It is difficult to achieve success in trading. I am giving some tips which hope to work better in trading. Hopefully these will be successful in trading if you follow them.

Set your goal first
Do not invest more than you can afford
Be patient
Use prudent leverage
Stay aware

Everyone is aware of these best practices in trading but very few follow it religiously. In most cases emotion take control of over us when we do trading and then we beginning to ignore these golden rules. To be remain patient in trading is most difficult things as we are also tempted to panic sell and fomo buy in trading.

Things to avoid in trading:

1- Fomo Buying
2- Panic selling
2575  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Journey from gambling to trading on: June 23, 2019, 06:18:46 PM
Trading really allows you to make good money, but you need to distribute your capital very competently, otherwise you will have to wait for a long time to return to the entry point

Sometimes we can get stuck in trading if the coins move down below our buying price but it is still better than gambling where if we lose a game, all the money wagered is lost and there is no chance of recovery. A recovery in gambling can only be done if we put new money in gambling and that too is a risky thing to do.
2576  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I GOT BURNT TODAY on: June 23, 2019, 05:14:49 PM
Surely. i entered the market at its peak.  Cry Cry Cry Cry. i doubt if i will survived this epic move of mine. btc was at 11,000K. i never checked TAs and just entered. i pray i recovered my money back. actually, it was FOMO. to be honest.

How much money did you invested in bitcoins at 11K ? If you have the ability to hold, you will be in profit soon. This Bitcoin rally may go up to 13K or even 15K so you maybe lucky this time and may get opportunity to sell in profits in few days time.
For future, never invest in fomo as this is the basic mistake which is done by majority of bitcoin traders and investors.
2577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be legally accepted in every country in the next 10 years? on: June 23, 2019, 05:04:50 PM
I dont know whether it will be accepted in all countries, because many countries are negative about it. But it seems to me that most of them will still legally accept bitcoin.

I'm not sure if all country will accept and legalize bitcoin in the next ten years. In fact some countries have yet to legalize bitcoin because of the concern of the government bitcoin used as a means of money laundering or other financial crimes, but if the entire state to find an agreement to mitigate such risks, perhaps the dream can become a reality.

Ten years is a lot of time and by that time crypto will be established and maybe the world single currency. Maybe we see the end of dollars by that time and all the fiat too. We may be in the era of digital currencies only and bitcoin leading them all in a decade time.
2578  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: stop loss management on: June 23, 2019, 04:29:49 PM
I always use Stop Loss function when I create an order. Once I lost a lot of money and time and I don't want to have such sad experience anymore. I started to use cryptocurrency trading platforms like Fumgo. I set the target there, turn Take Profit and Stop Loss functions on and the system makes everything itself. Recommend to try fumgo.com

I usually set it to just 5 to 8 percent. Don't want too big of a deficit. Though these are mostly for alts that i trade with in a more active basis like trx and xvg. I don't put stop loss anymore in long term coins like bitcoin and ethereum since i could live with their value dropping 😁
I don't like it that way, because market conditions are flexible and sometimes change, using stop lose can be your carelessness, when you sell automatically because of stop loss, then the price goes up. I won't do that when I still have a lot of time monitoring the market

Stoploss do have pro and cons. To avoid the situation mentioned by you, I normally place stop loss before I go to sleep so if the bitcoin dumps, my stoploss hits and i avoid the big loss. In day time i watch the market regularly and there is no point setting the stop loss when we are actively monitoring the market.
2579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is anonymous betting a desired feature? on: June 23, 2019, 03:59:59 PM
I think most gamblers would see no registration bets as a plus to a betting site because most of them wants to gamble anonymously and they find KYC very hassle. In my opinion it is better for your site to have verification just to safeguard your site from scammers.
With or without registration would always be ideal for a gambler if he has the option for both of it. We want to gamble anonymously and you have to choose those casinos that doesn't require KYC before you gamble but there are casinos that will ask you for KYC when you are about to withdraw. They will halt your request and will ask you for that and when that happens, it will be a disappointing moment for you because you thought from the beginning that they don't ask for it.

Asking for KYC at the time of withdrawal is the first sign of scam. If you come across such a site, you should seriously think of quitting the site or at least keep less funds there.  The sites can put some restrictions like with people without kyc have some daily withdrawals limits but asking for kyc at the time of withdrawal only is not acceptable and right.
2580  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reasons Crypto Players Skip Casinos with KYC on: June 23, 2019, 03:15:17 PM
There are some casinos which legitimately request KYC and people accept it. I'll ask you one good question to answer yourself: Will you show your ID to random person which meets in you street? Of course no, but will you show your ID to a person that works in Bank and needs it for you? Of course yes. That's all. There are a lot of casinos and most of them are like random persons in street and there are some ones that are like official people in banks and etc. That's the whole idea and answer of this question.
KYC is not really a problem. If its the rule so every gambler should abide in it. But the question is can they give a perfect assurance that our real identities won't be revealed even in the years to come. I doubt if they can perfectly do that so as much as possible,i still go with gambling sites that still not requiring KYC.
It is a problem for the crypto world in general and not just crypto gambling. Why does anyone need to see what I look like and where I live when they don't consider revealing what' their team like and where they're located? They want to be safe from the governments but think it's okay to take player's data? That's hypocritical.

No player should be okay with the gambling sites asking for identities. Who knows what happens to your data? That sort of data is not needed for anything related to gambling in any case.

This is the most common issue of those players who don't want the KYC. The other end is seeing your private info but you can't see who's behind it. It all boils down to trust, I guess. And your preferences in gambling websites.. If you do not agree with their terms, don't play with them. Pretty simple, right?

I think it is time that we simply boycott the casino which ask for kyc. The casino has no rights to get our private information. We never know they may sell this user data to any firm or marketing company etc.

Do we know who are the owners of the gambling sites ? Do they provide their KYC ?  Why they need the players to do the kyc ?  A lots of unanswered question by the casino and houses.
