1061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowledge vs hodlings on: September 17, 2023, 03:04:50 PM
In general, in every investment, technology or anything that you wanna to get involved and venture, it is a basic need to have the knowledge of it. Even the most basic ideas and knowledge are required for you to understand what you are up to and what's happening with that venture you've just taken. While we also see people diving into Bitcoin without proper knowledge and they've just heard it somewhere that it's okay to do that because all they need to do is to hold. If we're going to analyze that, that's already basic knowledge because of what they've heard from other people and that shortcut and basic idea could bring them to the right path. It is because that will push them to learn and understand more about it once it is already on their hands. I'll compare this to online courses, if you've taken free courses - you won't be pushy about it and won't probably care to finish that in time because you've acquired that for free. And with paid ones, you're obliged to finish it and it is on your mind that you need to get its worthiness because you pay hefty money on it.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 5 Gambling Strategies on: September 16, 2023, 10:24:15 PM
Your title is top 5 but you only mentioned three so I guess you want us to go to that link for us to see the remaining two.
You nailed it.

Well, i say strategies are personal and it depends on every game. I might work on others but it doesn't it will work to you. You don't need to reference others experience because it will be probably different from yours.
What i say is make your own strategies, not by its name but all your reference, like when and where to bet, how often, etc.
The basis of most of us when we see effective strategies is from others and we think that it's going to work on us. It's fine to test it and see if they also suit us as we've got different ways to gamble. But since it's just a test and trial, don't expect too much from it because if you do and then it didn't worked then that's your problem to be made in your mind as that's going to give you hard time in moving on. And if you don't expect a lot and you're just going with the flow and that didn't work for you, just move on and try another one and you're right to try or make your own.
1063  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns [Last update: 03-Sep-23] on: September 16, 2023, 02:23:37 PM
vbetFTN.com | Leading Online Gambling Operator Signature Campaign managed by Hhampuz has 1x Hero/Legendary positions open.
This campaign has already been filled with its last one slot yesterday, so it's back again to CFNP.

We are once again CFNP.

After announcing early today the payment for the first week of the campaign, manager LM announced minutes ago that the campaign has been paused and participants can remove their signatures:

Unfortunately, the campaign is paused. You are free to remove the signature and avatar.
Yeah, that didn't last long when it should be out of the PNYC category. This means that Nitrobetting signature campaign has ended its campaign. Ralle will soon update the table.
1064  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Franklin Templeton files for a spot Bitcoin ETF on: September 16, 2023, 11:34:01 AM
No idea about that company but I guess that we're all getting the vibe here that the next bull run will be pushed by all of these soon-to-be approved Bitcoin ETFs.

I do agree, it seems that the timing is that at least one of those who have applied for a spot Bitcoin ETF might be approved or soon to be approved in the bull run. And if this case, it will trigger a rally, so we shall see.
It is most likely that BlackRock's application will be approved first but there were some news that it's gonna be delayed. Well, these applications are all floating but there's this thought that if not most of them but many of them are likely to get rejected.

Everyone is exciting to see news like this, maybe it didn't have a huge impact on the price in the last 24 hours
When there are news like this, I don't expect that they're going to be impactful within 24 hours. But the result of it will surely be big in the long run once they're approved.

but at least we have maintain above $26k already and so that is very positive, at least for the month of September.
Yup, the support around $25k-$26k is already good if it's being maintained prior to the awaited push that we're tuning in.
1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Franklin Templeton files for a spot Bitcoin ETF on: September 16, 2023, 09:03:31 AM
No idea about that company but I guess that we're all getting the vibe here that the next bull run will be pushed by all of these soon-to-be approved Bitcoin ETFs.

There was a time when every financial institution in the USA was against Bitcoin. Now, they all want to get their hands on Bitcoin through ETFs. I wonder what all these big names are cooking behind our backs. I am certain there is a great deal of money and control involved plus they are all certain that the SEC would accept their application.
That's right, many of them have backlashed Bitcoin before and they're known household names and personalities in the finance sector. But then, here they are, many of them are starting to show interest and like for Bitcoin. There's only one drive here, they don't wanna miss the train and they have an idea on what's next for Bitcoin. It's all about the bull run and the profit that they can't ignore when it's there.
1066  Economy / Economics / Re: Tim Gurner wants Unemployment to increase. Employers have lost their power. on: September 16, 2023, 07:46:44 AM
With the adoption of work from home setup during the height of the pandemic, this has also retrieved the freedom of many employees to be with their families while working and putting food on their tables. While it's true that many of them have been demanding because it's hard to go back to the setup that they used to be in an office setup. But this is easy, the policies of the companies should still be followed by employees. If they don't want to RTO then they're free to resign if their demands can't be provided by the company. But if they can be given that opportunity to continue working at home then it is a blessing. Anyway, it's always equal, whether WFH or office setup having a job is the true blessing. On the other hand, it's just hard to get back on the setup that they've been used to be comfortable and that's the WFH setup. With this Gurner's point of view, this is something he shouldn't wish for. The world is struggling and many have been laid offs and it's not going to stop everywhere. He should just give an opinion about employees helping their companies through returning-to-office if that's the setup he wants most employers wanna be.
1067  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will there be a boom again? on: September 15, 2023, 10:11:55 PM
Should I invest my savings in Bitcoin?
If it is your life savings before investing think of it for many times if you can bear to invest with the fluctuation that happens on it every single minute.

Or should I lean towards altcoins this time? Which one?
Better to go with Bitcoin first if you're starting out. But you'll see people to suggest you the top altcoins like Ethereum.

I don't have health problems and don't have to worry about job security but it would make me sad to lose all the savings but life in Canada is getting expensive every fucking day.
The best approach you can do is to DCA. Every payday you can allocate a percentage of your salary and you'll do that continuously. Don't touch your savings if your lifestyle there is unsure and you have to bear with the inflation daily. Just DCA and buy it whenever you wanna buy or set a schedule like every payday, every week or every time you're comfortable to do it.
1068  Economy / Economics / Re: 1.34 trillion asset manager Deutsche Bank to offer Bitcoin service on: September 15, 2023, 05:28:20 PM
I remember when Credit Suisse was shaking, the news and people's attention turns to Deutsche Bank as they think that it's the next one to face a collapse. I didn't followed what's next on it but it seems that those were just scary thoughts from everybody that has been invested a lot to Credit Suisse.

Some people think that it is not secure to store their bitcoins by themselves, like some people think they cannot protect their gold, so they keep it in their bank lockers or with some custodians. They fear that they will lose their private key or hardware wallet, or they will die and their family won't get their bitcoin. People have different understandings of their surroundings, so those types of people who don't feel comfortable managing their own bitcoin wallet will use the services provided by the bank. Most of all, they will get a convenient environment to buy and sell their bitcoins.

I understand your concern about the potential risk associated with banks, but this can make some people's bitcoin lives easier. At least, this is what they think.
Yes, that's the actual use and service of theirs. Just like the typical investor that are not confident of their own skill but invests into asset management that has their own asset manager where they're responsible to keep their portfolios up and invests and spreads their clients money based on the decision of the manager. On the case of this custody service, even if we worry about those people that don't know much or don't like to setup their own wallets and bitcoin investments, that's their choice to choose services from banks like the Deustche Bank.

Your title is top 5 but you only mentioned three so I guess you want us to go to that link for us to see the remaining two.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that. OP is betting platform representative in the forum and might probably want to pull traffic to their site as expected of every casino site.
Yes, there's nothing wrong with that and that's needed for them to have their website impressions. We used to see that not just for them but also for other content creators and other gambling companies wherein they're pushing their audience that are curious with what they're sharing to the links that they put at the end of their articles and contents.

They even have active signature campaign going on.
Yup, I also see that and that's totally fine but let's just stick to the topic about the strategies that they're talking about.

Your title is top 5 but you only mentioned three so I guess you want us to go to that link for us to see the remaining two.

3. Go against the public
You won’t always win going against the public. You will make smarter bets in the long run if you always lean towards going against the public.

By lean, we mean handicapping public choices fully. The public is usually wrong. The public also loves to back chalk. So going against the public in many cases leads to better payouts and plays that have a much better chance of winning.
While this strategy is mostly for those that don't rely on the public. It's also like YOLO mentality for your bets. But if it's about the odds and you're into sportsbetting, those odds are like most of the time accurate. Yes, sometimes they don't but they do rarely happen like only a couple of times for most of the bets you do. But, you're the captain your bets and you can go against or be with the public anytime you wish to especially when you're following bet predictions.
1071  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How valuable BTC has become overtime on: September 15, 2023, 03:50:20 AM
I have never imagined that this is going to be an easy comparison for how Bitcoin has gone far for being an appreciating asset and how dollar is depreciating. The images that were posted just shows that if you've been a bitcoin believer and held until now, you didn't chose the wrong option but you should be proud of yourself that the quantities that you've been accumulating for a very long time is starting to see the fruits of it. Well, you can reward yourself if you have got that much of Bitcoin and buy that device if you want to, or keep on pushing yourself at the best to keep on holding it until we see another price appreciation which is likely for the next bull run just after the Bitcoin halving.
1072  Economy / Economics / Re: I tired of Banks my experince with nyc high value Property on: September 15, 2023, 01:27:48 AM
They don't give you nothing they get profit and they don't help with innovation.
And speciaially the big ones what they do is just they want you to have a lot liabilities responsebilities and a lot things you need to pay.
I don't think so that they remain laggards with their business. In fact, they're even implementing and trying to innovate to keep themselves in line with what's the current trend today, thus there's the CBDCs. Well, as for that liabilities, there's a balance into their management and they know how to handle that.

And instead of providing money for business mind people like me they just don't care about what is the idea but all they want is me to pay them.
They do provide that for people like you but maybe you're not approaching them rightly or you're not eligible for the customers that they do help out to take loans. When you say provide money for you guys, they're a bank and a business and not a charity so basically you're obliged to pay them back if ever you're granted a loan request.

Yesterday i was talking with one of the biggest USA bank they told to me i have to put down minimum of 40% down payment for buy to rent Property purpose of loan.
We has discussion about one of the condos apartments in park Ave area and 56 west so there is best area.
First of all i said i will never Ever pay that kind of % for the mortgage that's insane.
Second point is the pieace of land and a lot of glass with concrete not worth that much of money i would take risk.
Third, point i asked the proper construction building assestment scheme so i will see all the faults in Property aswell and off course they refused.
But i know it's a crap and i'll make my offer that i want they are not gona sell to me their crap with most expensive price Im here to make money and earn profit not to be the one who will put all my time and efforts for nothing Im businessmen my purpose of existence is to earn profit
The high end Property been pumped up hyped up and im not going to be bag holder...i don't follow this nonsense story like If you buy value Property it Will always going up and you hedge so that's what the rich people do this what i say "...just because you are rich doesnt mean that you are strong on finances and money you could be easy food for the bankers.
You know what, you're asking to buy through mortgage and that's a policy from the bank that you have to pay certain amount for the downpayment. You should have just negotiated well on them because they might give you some better rates and DP for that property you're acquiring. And you're trying to talk with the bank so, you're at their mercy and you can't do anything with that.

My conclusion is i'll just make Even better money with staking smart way dca % cryptocurrency.
Compared to this, yeah, just DCA or stake or do whatever you want with your money because you've got more freedom doing it.
1073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Countries living behind their century, taking a back sit on BTC evolution. on: September 14, 2023, 11:08:50 PM
While there are worse countries that don't listen to the outside world that Bitcoin won't harm them and their people, they just don't want to try something new even if there will be a raise of awareness into their regions. That's why you see the division of many countries because they believe to their only policies which they think is enough to compete against the other nations. But let us just put it this way, while many countries are very optimistic with the adoption of Bitcoin, making it as a legal tender or they have nothing against it so people are free to use it. We can't just change the fact that even with the positive progress in many countries that have adopted it, there will always go with the traditional believe and likely remain to be just as the hermit kingdom and not open on it.
1074  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Was it my fault or not? on: September 14, 2023, 09:39:41 PM
Is this for real? It's kinda hard to believe that this has happened for real. But let us say that this is a real thing, didn't you said that bitcoin address is different from other crypto addresses? I guess that should have been one of the first things that you've said to your boss since you're the one introduced it to him. But wherever we're going with this OP, just like the others I am very skeptic with your story even if I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt. I guess that you can't blame us if we're not buying the story that you've made/said.
1075  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bybit expects to exit UK market on: September 14, 2023, 06:39:40 PM
I think we have seen that happen first with some other major exchange that has been out of the UK market because of the policies that's been made to them.

I honestly expect more crypto exchanges to move out of UK to some crypto friendly territory.
Me either, the same goes for its neighboring countries wherein they could implement the same rules towards the crypto exchanges and entirely for the crypto market as a whole together with the users. Such policies are really game changers especially if they're favorable to the community but if not, they'll have to see the effect of it and who knows if they will alter that decision later on.

1077  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: catex.io & dex-trade.com on: September 14, 2023, 10:32:57 AM
I'm only familiar because I've heard probably years ago about catex but never have used it. Those trust rating that these exchanges have got are poor and low. I guess you've got no other option but to dump that immediately and you're just looking for an exchange where you can sell them immediately. If you're going to sell that token, there are also other 3 exchanges where it's listed but they seem to be uncommon as well.
Is this the token you're about to trade? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/p2p-solutions-foundation/#Markets
1078  Economy / Economics / Re: If the global economy collapses what's the first thing you do? on: September 14, 2023, 03:59:52 AM
What should bitcoiners be doing right now to prepare for a potential global economic hardship other than the obvious which is to hodl and accumulate as much as you can...
Well, it shouldn't be just us that should prepare for any economic consequence that will happen globally but since we're in a specific forum and majority of us here are bitcoin people. I think it's no brainer that everyone has to prepare for any major downturn economically and like saving as much as we can, and it is possible that many will have to sell their holdings if it turns out that they have no choice left but to sell their very last bitcoin even we're not yet in a bull run. Anyway, that's an event that's okay to sell those because if you have no other option and that's your major choice since minor ones won't help you to cope up. There is nothing that much that we can do, it's hard to stack up when you've sold already because you'll feel that you're cheated by the market of how it's going to be expensive soon. Personally, I'd lessen my spending into nonsense things although I don't know what nonsense spending I am doing right now since majority of my expenditures are all essentials. Maybe downsizing from there would be the start and adjustment.
1079  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good time to sell? on: September 13, 2023, 11:29:07 PM
A simple question to those who are hoping to profit on the next Bitcoin bull-run:
How do you determine when is the good time to sell?
My personal satisfaction to sell and when I think I need to sell, that's all just based on my feeling and also my needs.

in other words: how would you know we've reached the peak?
I wouldn't know that because at most times when I sell, there goes a higher price that comes but then it pulls back so that makes me satisfy that I've sold in a quite high price.

Do you have a set "goal" price at which you'd be selling no matter what happens?
Yes, I do have and that's why I'm saving a certain amount for that price.

Do you intend to sell incrementally as the price goes up? Or maybe when the price gradually drops (e.g. it goes down for X days in a row), indicating we're past the peak?
About determining the peak, it doesn't matter to me. As long as I'm able to sell at a higher price when I bought it or acquired it, that's already a win to me. And yes, I'd probably sell incrementally when the price keeps on going up but for a certain price, I've said that I have determined a quantity that it should be just sold on that particular price.
1080  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another day to take caution of sim swap attack on: September 13, 2023, 10:11:57 PM
Why would people go for text message only which is also by default. Sim authentication is not safe. Use app 2FA or hardware security key for a better security.
Exactly, this is where most of those hacks through sim swap comes. Their 2FA is through their sim numbers and that's how these hackers gained access to them. Those that does it thinks that it's easy and safer because the 2FA code is sent over your network provider. But it has been proved for so many times that it's not and with sim swap, it can be taken by the hacker. Aside from 2FA through authentication apps, the email AUTH is also another option but this is not safe too especially if you've been using that email and you know that it has the same password of what you're using in many websites.
