Good morning, a lazy Sunday morning... but most importantly $250 till the next weekend ?
642  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 04, 2014, 06:51:32 PM
I smell despair in the air, I think allot of people should be thankful to hodlers (hodlers appreciating hodlers), otherwise the price would be at $50 already.... with these thin bookorders, shit is about to get real.
643  Economy / Speculation / Re: How to increase Bitcoin's price. on: October 04, 2014, 05:35:19 PM
price is defined by supply and demand, let me Google that for you
644  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 04, 2014, 05:32:03 PM
Anybody in US, or any other country where it's easy to get weapons, is willing to sell me a powerful gun??
I will pay good, probably won't be needing it for a couple of months but I just want to make sure

Check any darknet market.  They accept btc.
You might want to consider shorting or selling instead of killing, however.

How does it work with shipping? I live in sweden so

And any suggestion for a site?

if you are serious then you are too invested, I suggest you sell everything because you clearly don't understand what "invest only what you can afford to lose" means.... it is time that you sell withdraw and shut off your PC and go do something better with your life.

when you start thinking about hurting someone or yourself, it is the point when you maybe need to talk with someone, maybe you need professional help.

Despair... I did notice that hero and legendary members are in that faze, my thoughts are: if you didn't sell at least some of your stash near the top or even a bit lower, then you are a fool....

Those people forget that Bitcoin has value because of the people that comes after them, and their coins have a higher price because new adopter's demand and them hoarding the coins, once those new adopters lose confidence you are simply doomed, if those early adopters keep hoarding they will regret it so bad and they could be a problem in the future, because once they realize they fucked up, they will start selling at small uptrend moves and this will automatically create a pressure.

in other words, all the people here waiting for bubbles, these kind of things would be hard to happen in the future. (if it happens as described above).
647  Economy / Speculation / Optimism is your enemy on: October 04, 2014, 04:59:03 PM
so here we made a new low at stamp: $325.67....what is happening now is confusion and fear, price jump in both directions,  give it a few hours when acceptance hit, then the price will continue its path... down we still go.

The biggest enemy of bulls are not bears but blind optimism

It seems like the bear (hidden bull) whale target has been reached. I gues we will have a few days/weeks/forever without a new low.

I don't think we are near a low, not yet my friend.. not yet Wink

Xiaomi CEO said that he will buy 100000 coins if the price hit 1000 CNY.

a last desperate attempt for pumping the price, who the fuck cares what he will/wish/want to do ?
653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 04, 2014, 04:40:36 PM

It is the weekend, will we touch 330 this weekend ? I think we will find about that soon...

I didn't expect it to happen this soon, next target we will break 300 and visit the 2xx for the first time in a year... my thoughts are once we break that $300 mark, then you will see how panic selling looks like  ?

And BTW, the days destroyed is a bit complicated to explain, but to prove that that argument is invalid I just took a look at the 500 richest address and I can see that most of these addresses had the first input late 2013 and in 2014, so most likely many of these adopters did something with their Bitcoins in other word they have been moving funds

Bitcoin days destroyed is a bit complicated. Instead I will post a picture of just a few addresses and say I have seen something meaningful in 500.

If you are going to post analysis, try and put some actual analysis in there please.

copy paste from the Bitcoin wiki ( the one wiki that no one bother to visit/read):

Quote
Bitcoin days destroyed for any given transaction is calculated by taking the number of Bitcoins in a transaction and multiplying it by the number of days it has been since those coins were last spent.

so if I had 50000BTC siting in my address for 1 year, and I decided to move/spend 1000BTC, the days destroyed for that transaction would be 1000*365, which is not that big really when looking to the daily sum:

Usually people notice the days destroyed spike when there is a huge transaction, for example the Bitstamp audit that too place in November last year...it is very rare that people spend/move such an amount at once, so there is a scenario where big holders moved the coins in small transactions. and left them on the exchange to sell at the proper time (whenever they want to do so).

this is the average days destroyed for one transaction:

it is not that complicated, but the fact that people keep bringing this up makes me think about how complicated it must be for them to simply read the wiki.

The thing is it's NOT old coins. None of the old chaps is selling right now.

Just because the coins moved recently, it does not mean that they were bought recently.

Some owners of old cheap coins must have moved them to an exchange at some point, but withdrew them when MtGOX started failing, and people realized that exchanges were not safe places to keep your one's hoard.

Other old owners may have moved their coins to new addresses for safety or other reasons.

If someone pays a small amount out of a large input, and sends the change-back to a different address, the age of those the change-back coins will be reset for the purposes of the change-back formula, correct?  What if the change-back is sent to the same address?

Finally, it seems that there is a lot of "fake" volume on the blockchain (coins moving between addresses belonging to the same person), perhaps from tumbling or hotwallet/coldwallet flow.  For that reason, if someone sells a thousand 2011  coins, thus destroying a million bitcoin-days, he will barely make a blip on the chart (which oscillates between 2 million and 15 million BTC-days destroyed per day).  If old owners have been selling a couple thousand old coins every day, we would not see it there.

+1

Bitstamp has around 150000BTC in their cold wallet, now all these coins have to have some owners... so technically a seller wouldn't have to move anything to sell, he has an entry in the database that says Account X has Y coins.

Yesterday we had 247 new members of bitcointalk forum. This is the lowest number since the last bubble started almost a year ago.

and many accounts from that above number are fake, in other words not really new adopters but rather from scammers (because Bitcoin is the heaven of scammers) and for advertisement and to sell later and...

Anyway, clearly the adoption is slowing down or the new comers think Bitcoin is overvalued and this is why there is almost no support for the price, my biggest fear is that only we (bears) early adopters who sold before are providing the existing weak support for the current price with our open orders... which is really scary.

Could you define 'early adopter'?

people that bought between $0-100
660  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 04, 2014, 07:35:09 AM
good morning, so when FIAT money lose its value and the buying power becomes weaker every year,  we usually call that inflation (and we think that solely inflation is the cause),  but when Bitcoin lose its value faster than the Argentinian peso , what do we call that ?

Anyway, clearly the adoption is slowing down or the new comers think Bitcoin is overvalued and this is why there is almost no support for the price, my biggest fear is that only we (bears) early adopters who sold before are providing the existing weak support for the current price with our open orders... which is really scary.
