"show"ing that guys message quickly reminded me why it needed to be "shown" before it's visible.

Get a life.

My comments are inspirational, meant to penetrate your fixated thinking to be able to use your mind in actually understanding matters, old and new. Reacting to them in such a low level manner leads me to think whether you'd be better off investing in bonds. At least you know what you get.

Delusional... If you really believe in what you write then you need a doctor, Otherwise this is just sick and fucked up.
1282  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 14, 2014, 09:41:50 AM
But I still advice ppl to use buy and cut because you never know if we end up heading down to 0 for some reason.

Bitcoin is special, because every day that it is not immediately and permanently reset to 0, has historically meant a 0.7% price appreciation trend (resulting from increase in adoption).

So you are essentially betting that the probability that Bitcoin fails today is less than 0.7%, and you are able to withstand some volatility.

What a logic... A classic pumper and dumper.... Basically you don't give a shit if people lose everything so you are able to get everything.

I say don't be all invested in anything, always manage the risks and invest only what you can afford to lose, ignore the permabulls and the permabears, but especially permabulls.

the whole thing doesn't make sense and is fishy as fuck.... BTER needs to give real information that can help track the hacker and threw him in jail, if the hack thing is all true because the whole thing doesn't make any sense to me...

bitstamp keeps pushing, but no one is following.
Europeans are in trouble for sure but I hope this is not a new MtGox too..

How many coins did you recover?

glad to hear you got some coins back klee. i hope you get the rest too.

what do you mean europeans are in trouble? because of the portagul bank in the crapper?
Look into his thread it was 4xx but if i'd be on your place klee i'd request 600 atleast as he is clearly worried about his life and future..

Just accept the money and then claim more afterwards. It's not like you need to keep the moral high ground when negotiating with a thief.
He is probably following klee's posts and he is probably member of btctalk so i'm not sure if posting this is good idea, but otherwise yep it's true.

I didn't post it in Klee's topic for this very reason.
Guys he had access to my emails, computer etc, not only my coins! Everyone can find my real ID very easily and I have a family...
Well, but it would be threatening and police would maybe help you but yeah it's really better to get atleast this summ of money than nothing...congratulations.

I didn't follow the story. How did he get access to your mail and computer?
Not sure - maybe from a dropbox plain txt file I had all my pwds in..

Really bad, dropbox not safe for keeping password at all.
I paid hundred thousand of dollars to learn this lesson...

are all the coins yours or a part of some kind of an escrow or holdings for a community ?
1285  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 13, 2014, 11:23:19 AM
in the other hand, a Litecoin pump has just started... is this a reversal ? we will see about it.

24H volume converted to BTC and compared to all coins:

LTC was a waste of BTC Sad

Lol, but it is almost true, LTC was 2nd crypto currency who got popular after BTC.

I don't get why people are upset ?!!  here is the definition of realcoin:

Quote
Realcoin eliminates the volatility concern of Bitcoin by being backed by the dollar. It is a one-to-to redemption for each Realcoin in circulation. Utilize Realcoins just like Bitcoin or any other digital currency, but know that it can forever be redeemed for the dollar that originally created it.

Realcoin will be completely transparent, safe, secure and insured. Every dollar that is held in our reserve will be represented by one coin in circulation and can be redeemed at any time.

it means 1 USD = 1 Realcoin fixed, all I understand is that this realcoin will make it easier for third party exchanges or decentralized ones or services that rely on the dollar value at a given moment, and it can be redeemed back to Dollars at any given moment.

I think this is cool to be honest, it is not an altcoin at all.

Ha.

I guess the VC's are wrong and we won't be seeing you round here anymore?

the VC's are wrong 80% of the time, remember that more than 80% of startups fails, and VC is just a strategic gambling game in which greed is the biggest factor.

edit: and VC's didn't buy Bitcoin but invested in companies that deals with Bitcoin, so they are putting their votes on the idiots who will be buying and using these services.

This little dump doesn't effect my current anlysis. We are still right on track:
(...)
short term, we see a downwards trending triangle. If we break to the UPSIDE, this will be very bullish and push us above the 654 USD fibonacci retracement:
(...)

This is basically all i read here every day for the last 2 weeks. People dumping and not to worry because we will go up.
It's starting to look silly.

I truly hate to sound like Tera but i have to be realistic. For weeks all we see are people dumping. There is nothing bullish about this. Really nothing. The ask side is getting bigger by the day.
I don't care about trend lines and past bubble behaviour. All i see is the current situation and nothing points to Bitcoin going up. Let alone another bubble.

i'll revisit my position if we go break this triangle to the downside and sell a lot if we go below the next fibonacci retracement at 534 USD.
But for now, I think it's just stupid to dump. Good news ahead (ETF, a lot of new companies in the bitcoin space and maybe ebay/paypal accepting bitcoin. I wouldn't be surpised if it happens in Q3!)

Why the hell would you sell if we get below 534 USD considering all the good things you quote?

it is called risk management, not everyone on this thread got in when Bitcoin was few dollars, some has paid $600-1100, others has lost most of their savings with gox, others still hold to a couple of Bitcoins, now try to convince these people about calming down if we go to $400 or less.

I just want to point out something, people who have access to critical information are selling and investing in other businesses
, a person would think why the fuck would they sell and invest in a business that could return only %10 and not leave it in Bitcoin if the "bubble is close", they could make 10 times more, but the answer is simple, there will be no bubble, at least not any time soon, and they are doing their risk management moves...

You can change, remove, edit, etc. the votes in Surveymonkey. That kind of sites is to vote who pays the beer between friends, not to vote the whole strategy of a project where we've invested a lot ( or not) of money.

what do you know about survey monkey? My ex-employer (which is a world wide corporate) used to use that site... and when I say my ex-employer, I am talking about a multi-bullion dollar company that has a world wide presence and has a big IT infrastructure.
1295  Other / Off-topic / The dumbest financial mistake you ever made on: July 08, 2014, 10:26:06 PM
I was reading a thread on Reddit about the dumbest financial mistakes people made, and reading through the thread was really interesting and informative, I my self have made few dumb mistakes especially when it comes to my career, I also made a mistake about not investing when I first heard about Bitcoin (it took me a while to decide).

So I want to know what is the mistake you mostly regret ? it doesn't have to be about Bitcoin...

Anyway, gotta say I'm still just waiting for blastoff. Maybe the whole ISIS thing is the catalyst where terrorist organizations across the world start to BUY BUY BUY as to not be left behind by the other terrorist organizations. I'm curious whether the terrorist organizations NSA, CIA and MI5 will buy along with the rest of them Wink

buy from who ? on exchanges ? how do you think they will achieve that ? oh or maybe Satoshi will sell them some....

The same way they acquire gold.

they acquire gold/money from killing people and trading weapons, beside they are probably supported/trained by the US, same was with Al-Qaeda...the easiest way to get Bitcoin without going through Radar is  if investing in hardware and start mining

Look i understand we're on a speculation forum and predict things based on lines and what not but presenting detailed predictions for the next 6 months as facts is just stupid and a complete waste of time. It is 100% impossible to know what will happen the next 6 months.

83.719% of your posts are in the speculation forum, and most of them are in this thread, yet I still can't understand your attitude upon trading or any prediction/speculation about the price going down, a month ago I sold at this price and I said that I don't think the price will be going any where for some time and I didn't change my mind yet, there is also a possibility of us going down ($400-500).... only then I would buy back.

BTW, don't you sleep at all or what ?
1299  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 06, 2014, 09:12:13 AM
now that everyone is waiting for a bubble and yelling that this is going to be soon or maybe it will start now....it is the perfect reason for a bubble to not start for a long long time, hell maybe Bitcoin is still overvalued from the last bubble and this is why we see selling pressure each time the price go up for $10.
