for the people who keep posting the same crap over and over please read my statement here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=413978.4320

stop copy pasting the same crap over and over

I'm trying to see your side of things but unfortunately no matter how hard I try I still feel your attitude towards this is rather poor.

We're not asking for novels to be written here. Small update every now and then even if it's one line just lets everyone know the dev is alive, mkay. That way maybe this coin will go somewhere. These markets are all about perception. If you get perception wrong the substance matters very little sadly. If you don't have the time or inclination to do this then get someone else to do it.

You want everybody to shut up and wait patiently while you work? Then you shouldn't have started a coin I'm afraid.

Do you think it's all right what happened when the n-factor went up? Not worth mentioning in this topic either I suppose? At least the lack of warning meant I made some more coins while other folks wasted electricity.

If you leave people in the dark this coin will fail no matter how hard you work behind the scenes. Coin prices, like stock prices, are about expectations. Judging by the constant dumps on our lovely exchange expectations aren't very high currently. It's worth spending some of your time on.

thank you it`s works i used 280x.. and the last question ... yesterday when i mined i have the avg 1100kh/s with 2x 280x and today i have avg 550-560? why is again a hardware errors? if is can said what to change.. thx alought

Everybody has ~50% lower hashrate. It's a result of the coin's n-factor increasing. Difficulty also went -50% as a result so you get the same coins as before.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ASIC-RESISTANT] UltraCoin (UTC) - Newly Launched on: February 17, 2014, 04:12:38 PM
hello guys.. i have a problem i mining utc coin and in ultracoin mining the avg is 560 kh/s but in my pool the hashrate is 50 why? this is happend then yesterday ... can give me some adviced? thx

Hardware errors. Lower intensity or increase thread concurrency until they go away. If you're using 7970/280x and -I 13 simply moving to -I 12 will do the trick.

99% of my job is invisible work

Appreciated, but I think you can imagine that the miners (to give one example) feel a little neglected when nobody from the dev team gives some sort of advance warning that we're about to go up an n-factor. This left many rigs producing virtually nothing but HW errors for as long as it took their operators to notice (some where asleep, some not)

It just gives a feeling that no-one's really on the ball here. That feeling might not be justified in reality, but it just looked how it looked.

The # of miners is irrelevant. The same amount of coins get mined whether there's 1 guy on it at diff >= 0 or 1 million people at diff 1500.

Lots of people dumping into the buy orders, but whoever is buying is going with it so far  Smiley

The worst case scenario, and I'm talking a complete cockup, FUD-tastic, super duper media rage scenario is that BTC goes down to $100 for a year

That's the worst case scenario? I think that'd be pretty good for BTC's long term success. It offers buying opportunity for everyone, it implies stability, it looks less like a "tulip bubble" to all those armchair economists and it would allow for real world applications to develop more easily.

I'm not getting this. I don't know what Bumface is so busy with working on or promoting this coin (not seeing any results of that right now) but for F's sake post a little update every now and then. Why do you think this coin is falling? Absent dev, no obvious drive going on and a large presold premine. Gee I wonder why people are selling at low prices after all these confidence inspiring moves by the dev team.

One update a day can't be too much to ask. Sooner or later we'll all get to the point here we dump and don't look back otherwise.

There have been 18 failed bitcoin exchanges so far

Failed from the users' perspective, perhaps. I'm sure for some exchange owners things went pretty much according to plan.

Yeah don't come and tell us you can't afford 0.25 BTC to support your coin after you flipped that premine.

Enjoy the low diff until everyone else finds out. Currently profitability is up 50% while much of the network is wasting electricity on HW errors.

Raising TC seems to help with HW errors!

It should, indeed. These kind of HW errors are about finding a combination of TC and I that works. Higher TCs work with higher I's. Doesn't necessarily get you more hashrate though. I is easier to play with than TC on short notice.

Switching 7970 to intensity 12 instead of 13 gets rid of HW errors. Testing higher I's now.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ASIC-RESISTANT] UltraCoin (UTC) - Newly Launched on: February 16, 2014, 01:54:04 PM
getting more HW errors than accepted shares now this coin seem's broke

Roll Eyes coin is fine, ASIC resistance doesn't come for free, it adds some complications. We need different miner settings on some cards. I believe lowering the intensity will help, testing now.
