somebody is spamming those double spends at full speed.

Talking about spam, the blockchain is being spammed by Bitwars right now.
1102  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitstamp btc withdrawal problem on: February 11, 2014, 11:52:11 AM
And it's clearly not a double spend. Craptsy is just being....craptsy in your case. As far as the blockchain and every client out there is concerned, your BTC have arrived where you sent them. Had you sent them to your wallet they would be there now.

thank you, comforting. any quick way to explain how you know its not a double spend? or could you point me in a direction to learn how to read blockchain more thoroughly?

also, when i pull that same address up myself via blockchain.info, i do not get the double spend warning that the above link gave.

Well you said you had 13 or 16 confirms, which means every exchange and client out there will consider the transfer valid. BTC-e and Stamp credit deposits after 3 confirms, Gox 6 I believe same as the BTC client. So if there's more than 10 by all means it's there.

I checked the link you gave and I'd need to know what your wallet address was to see specifically, seems to be a load of transactions going to the cryptsy address what you linked.

What is obvious is that BTC-e withdrawals were completely down for a period of time, came back, and what was processed during the downtime is backlogged somewhere. Not too worried about that but I want this sorted ASAP to cash out with a profit.

If you are unlucky and your withdraw was a double spend, could the BTC be gone into the limbus?

Not really relevant, the missing withdrawals did not hit the blockchain in any shape or form.

mine did hit blockchain.. 5btc, and is in there.

I'm happy to hear your transaction from BTC-e did finally hit the chain after 10 hours. Gives me hope my transfer will sort itself out soon.

Cryptsy is well known for taking the p*** with deposits, sadly. Not sure what's up with Stamp, but off and on I have experienced delays there before. I'm guessing all exchanges are busy checking their wallets and searching for holes right now.
1106  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitstamp btc withdrawal problem on: February 11, 2014, 11:01:00 AM
and multiple users, including myself, missing btc from btc-e withdrawals. i am waiting on 5.005 btc from btc-e over 12 hours ago..this problem may be btc protocol wide.

BTC-e did a wallet update last night and everything what was withdrawn during that period did not hit the blockchain. As of a few hours ago, withdrawals from btc-e are working fine though. Just waiting for them to send me the frigging coins from last night.

1107  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC-e withdrawal issues? on: February 11, 2014, 10:53:14 AM
tried to withdraw a little over 5btc 12 hours ago, still nothing. the btc is gone to the blockchain, took 10 hours to get to blockchain, now is at 14 confirmations but still nowhere to be found. this sucks.

Bit confused, you sent from where to where? When you withdraw from BTC-e and it hits the blockchain and confirms there is really nothing on their end left to do, they sent it then.

Most people are still waiting for their coins to finally get to the blockchain from yesterday. Transfers right now are working however so I hope they are working on a solution for the backlog that did not go through automatically.

13 GH/s ... Come on seriously ?

8.5 hours to Kimoto  Cool

If some hashing power remains to solve blocks at this diff...

I'm actually wondering if this is a genuine multipool or an attack on smaller altcoins. It makes no sense for the multipool to go any further than diff 20-25 before buggering off because it's wildly unprofitable beyond that point. To push it all the way to 121 they're losing more potential earnings than they are making. This is what I meant with the diff swings becoming dangerously large, with every hit the diff was pushed higher (and fell lower) it's the same way you sink a ship by running a group of people left to right.

So this goes to 150 FRY per block some time today?

At block 11900 already.

Actually the OP doesn't make much sense

Quote
•   500,000,000 total coin supply.
•   1666666.666666667 Total blocks.
•   Subsidy is cut in half every 16666 blocks.

If the reward halves every 16666 blocks it would need a heck of a lot more than 1666666 blocks to get to 500 million.

Don't sell lower 0.0001

Tell that to the multipools.

BTC out worked for me about an hour ago. Hope yours gets fixed soon...

Yes they are working right now, tried with 0.5 and it went straight through.

The one from last night is still nowhere to be found though. Really wish I wouldn't depend on btc-e's worthless support at this point  Angry
1113  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC-e withdrawal issues? on: February 11, 2014, 07:02:44 AM
I actually get the confirmation emails just fine, and the transaction is confirmed on BTC-e's side (in history) but not going through aka not going to the blockchain.

They tweeted the withdrawals were fixed about an hour ago, but nothing so far. I suspect they've got quite the backlog however.
1114  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: BTC-e withdrawal issues? on: February 11, 2014, 06:44:07 AM
Same, 2 BTC since about 11 hours ago.

8 hours so far, 2 BTC

I can confirm BTC-e withdrawals are not quite instant, 20 mins and nothing in the blockchain yet (2 BTC)

Kind of sucks because I've gotto go to sleep and I don't like leaving coins floating around with the price this unstable.

look at your screen harder it makes the coin appears faster

One night later, still no coins  Angry

Is it that hard to protect the servers against DDoS? As far as I know, this goes on at least since Friday.

Well, it costs money. The higher the bandwidth of the attack the more it costs, and there is a point where too much is too much though I doubt any of the attacks are that large (attacking costs money too)
1118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 10, 2014, 09:04:24 PM
BTC-e posted (in russian) on their twitter that the wallet upgrade can cause withdrawal delays. At least that's something of a confirmation.
