61  Other / Meta / Re: How Come I Can't get along here? on: February 16, 2021, 07:53:35 PM
You are just describing on what a forum is like and I don't think it would be different compared to the other forums that I have been. Yeah forums might be something to look for a discussion but that is if people with the same mindset are agreeing on topics most of the time. But if you are part of the forum users who don't have a popular opinion or is simply disagreed by others then you will most likely expect some negative comments on what you are saying. I don't think this will change so if I were you I will just adjust to it and hope that some day people will agree on what you are saying.
62  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: February 15, 2021, 10:15:40 PM
Next week have good derby between Inter Milan and AC Milan almost people know with named derby della madonnina, become the way closed with scudetto because both team only left with one points, if Inter Milan can get three points they can left from AC Milan with four points, but if Milan wanna back to the first position they have win from Inter Milan.

Milan wasn't on their early pace this point of the season. They have lost to Atalanta for 3 goals and their most recent game is another L which is disappointing to see because they lost 2 goals from Spezia which is currently at the bottom of the table, if they kept up with this kind of form I think Inter will eventually widen the gap between them and Milan worst comes to worst Milan might even fall off from the top 5 of the table since Roma, Napoli, Juventus, and Atalanta are not far behind from where Milan is current sitting.
63  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-02-13 Forbes - Bitcoin: It’s Not If, It’s Now Just A Matter Of When on: February 15, 2021, 08:19:02 PM
Jack Dorsey and Jay-Z announced the creation of a 500-bitcoin fund worth around $23. 6 million, in order to finance the development of a bitcoin-based economy in Africa and India

This is something that caught my eye in the article. I don't know if Dorsey and Jay-Z knows the ongoing legal battle here in India or not for the crypto industry but clearly for me this is something they won't do for India if they don't have a proper knowledge if they can establish a "bitcoin-based" economy in this country. If this is some kind of confirmation that Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies are still good and legal in India then it is good news. The best thing to hope for is the ones who opposed cryptocurrencies being legal in India realizes the opportunity they will be losing if they continue to close their minds on a crypto industry in their country.
64  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: 2021-02-12 - BitPay Adds Apple Pay Support on: February 13, 2021, 09:19:22 PM
Apple hasn't done anything.  What this really shows is that Bitcoin-related companies are the people who are innovating in crypto payments rather than billionaires like Musk and Tim Cook.

It's a little unfortunate though that this expects people to be using Bitcoin primarily as an asset rather than a currency.  It is similar to if you deposited gold and a card agreed to spent fiat money for you based on how much gold is in your account.  Ideally, Bitcoin's transaction fees and confirmation time will become low enough that an intermediary like BitPay won't be necessary to spend it at retailers.

Well BitPay didn't really "innovate" anything here as well, they just added Apple Pay as one of their payment methods with regards on adding funds to their account so technically there is nothing about making Bitcoin as a payment method here. Also I know where you are coming from but tbh I don't think its these companies' fault on why they aren't making Bitcoin as an accepted payment method since they have to consider a lot of things from the volatile price of Bitcoin to also considering the capital gains tax they will incur when they try to accept Bitcoin directly that is why we say Steam pulled out from accepting Bitcoin because of this situation. For me Bitcoin and the whole crypto market is doing fine if this bull market will be going longer I think it will attract more and more people in the market. The more people we have in the industry the more chances we have for mass adoption.
65  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 12, 2021, 09:47:25 PM
According to some rumours, Chelsea are looking for ways to bring Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen back to the Premier League. He hasn't been playing good since he left Tottenham. I think he was a big loss for Tottenham. If Chelsea manage to sign him, they are thinking of making a deal like they will send Jorginho to Inter in return.

https://www.calciomercatoweb.it/2021/02/10/calciomercato-inter-chelsea-sarri-eriksen-jorginho/

During his last season with the Spurs you will see that Eriksen wasn't playing as what he used to do that is why Tottenham weren't able to sell him on the price they were asking which I believe was 40 million Pounds back them and eventually they have let him leave for 27 million Pounds which is really a bargain for Inter. Now if right now Eriksen is not working out well with Inter I believe that he won't work out well going back to the premier league, maybe going onto a much lower league with a greater role like what Memphis Depay did is a better option for him. Going with Chelsea will just bury his value for good.
66  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance Walks an Extra Mile: An Aggressive Initiative in the Face of Competition on: February 12, 2021, 07:39:17 PM
I don't see any problem with this as other industries have done this types of "pirating". They will offer you price matches, discounts, and sometimes undercutting the competitor just to sway their money towards them. The main problem they will be facing here is of course the price differences the traders are after when they are trading, that's why we see a lot of traders who don't just trade in just one platform as they just want to take advantage of price differences on cryptocurrencies that are actively moving or having price rallies in another exchange. What they are offering is good but it should outweigh this price difference advantage they are looking for  which I believe will only attract some traders but not most of them.
67  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: btc-take.com on: February 11, 2021, 07:25:40 PM
-Buyer ask you to create an account so he can pay in Bitcoin
-This website ask you to verify by depositing

This 2 are just common red flags for scamming you, in fact you are lucky if this is not a phishing website as well so if you used your email and password at a similar wallet you should change it now. Remember you are asking Bitcoin as a payment so there is no reason for you to create a new kind of account just for your to receive payment since Bitcoin wallets are compatible to send and receive regardless if you have the same wallet or not. Just don't talk to him anymore he is not interested in buying your product he is just there to steal your money.
68  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Is there a way to only make BTC spendable to white listed addresses? on: February 09, 2021, 09:23:38 PM
I don't think there is such way nor I see any benefit on applying one in any wallet. Having a whitelist address for sending purposes isn't an improvement or added security than having a good pin, 2fa, and protecting the private keys of your wallet. Having a whitelist in your wallet will just make you limit your options on who you will send your Bitcoin to and even that doesn't guarantee the safety of your Bitcoin as  they might even try to compromise the addresses part in your wallet. Just always practice on having a good password and keep your pin and private keys on your own so you won't have to worry about these kinds of things.
69  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WILL BITCOIN BE ACCEPTED AS A MEANS OF TRANSACTION IN THE WORLD on: February 09, 2021, 07:45:53 PM
If you are referring to mass adoption I believe the key here is in 3 factors legislation, public acceptance, and business recognition. I believe the first two which is laws as well as public knowledge about Bitcoin is something that we came far along with and is enough for mass adoption, the only thing we are really missing is for businesses to start accepting Bitcoin as a mode of payment then we can see a big ripple effect on it down to local businesses accepting Bitcoin as a mode of payment. I know a lot of big businesses already know that a lot of people are holding Bitcoin and they will see this as a big market on which they can take advantage of so only time will tell before these big businesses will start accepting/implementing Bitcoin as a mode of payment.
70  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Simple Crypto: Master Bitcoin - Easy introduction to Bitcoin for everyone on: February 08, 2021, 07:50:48 PM
Why turn it into an app though? This kind of learning materials is something that can be done in a construction of a website which is more accessible for everyone as an app would just simply make them download and as well clear/allocate some memory for your app. Is this just because of ads or is this a school project of yours? Well if it is a school project I don't think it would be impressive for you or your professors having an app that's only use is to be clickable and has reading materials on it. If it is for ad purposes I think you can still earn on ads and applying it into a website which I think is the best route to go for this kinds of content.
71  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: February 07, 2021, 10:31:44 PM
Plenty of guards at Thibs disposal, i just hope Quickley doesn't get his minutes reduced as he has shown promising things thus far, Knick fans can attest to that.

Oh, Dennis Smith Jr goes to the Pistons, part of the trade.

We all know that Thibs preferred playing style is to give more minutes to veterans so I think he would be planning on giving more minutes to Rose as PG. Even before Rose Thibs played Elfrid Payton more rather than Quickley as  Payton has more years in the league compared to him and that is Quickley playing a better game compared to Payton so I'd expect Quickley to be in the 3rd option now.
72  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-01-30 [CNBC] India might ban private cryptocurrencies like bitcoin on: February 07, 2021, 07:55:19 PM
~snip~

Back in 2019, the supreme court of India asked a clarification on what the government meant by "private" cryptocurrency. The bureaucrats replied that any cryptocurrency that is not issued by the central bank is "private" (there was a banking ban on cryptocurrency that was imposed in 2018, and this ban in turn was invalidated by the supreme court in 2020).

It is true that the rumors and FUD have been going for quite sometime. But these were not without any substance. The government was never comfortable with the idea of cryptocurrencies getting traded in its jurisdiction. The first bill to ban cryptocurrency was drafted in 2018 by Subhash Chandra Garg, but he was kicked out of office before he could table it. This time though, they look to be serious.

I have followed the news for quite a while now and I know for a fact that even if the Supreme Court have invalidated the memorandums being given by the RBI they still are pushing that it is not right which is quite surprising as their own Supreme Court is being push around by their own central bank. This is some kind of power struggle within their own government which makes things unclear for a lot of people we don't really know who has the real power and even if they have decided something someone will opposed on it which just makes the crypto news media more happy.
73  Bitcoin / Press / Re: 2021-01-30 [CNBC] India might ban private cryptocurrencies like bitcoin on: February 06, 2021, 08:15:24 PM
India for me is the new China so everytime I see a news about "India" blah blah blah "Ban" I won't be surprised and more inclined to see that the news is unreal since from what I remembered this news about the ban is going back and forth since 2017 and nothing new has happened so far. I don't even see the crypto news media being reliable with regards to this news since they didn't even define what a "private" cryptocurrency is since from what I know there is no classification for that specific cryptocurrency not unless they are talking about privacy based cryptocurrencies like Monero.
74  Other / Meta / Re: Decline of Marketplace activity/trading on: February 05, 2021, 10:26:25 PM
Well if the bull market has any connection into the forum's marketplace activity I think it affected the users in a sense that they are more inclined on hodling their Bitcoin rather than spending it at the moment that is why you will see a lower activity in this areas. People who may have recently joined the forum will most likely go in the speculation or trading discussion sections since the price of Bitcoin is what drive them to join and this new members will most likely buy their Bitcoin on an exchange rather than in the forum and maybe some of our older members here also have done that. So for me this might not be a forum related issue but maybe it has something to do with the price of Bitcoin.
75  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Has anyone bothered to register as a peer to peer exchange for the UK fatf rules on: February 05, 2021, 08:30:52 PM
Maybe if you are unsure about it you can just contact them as it is one of the best ways on getting the right answer is through just asking them.

Contact us

For any queries regarding the new regime, please email firm.queries@fca.org.uk

Aside from that the pdf provided in the FCA's website shows that you may seek legal advice which I think you really need to do because even the FCA says that is is up to you to decide on whether or not you are needed to register your business. And if you decided to not register I think it will be handy to you when you are backed up by a lawyer.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin CASH regulated in any way? on: February 04, 2021, 08:38:26 PM
What I am posting right now still has no clear answers since IRS for the US hasn't given a clear answer yet but based on what I have read in the past yes hard forked coins are taxable but the real question is what kind of tax will it be applied on? And the answer to that will always be dependent on the duration on how long you have held it, for people after the hard fork happened and they hold their Bitcoin Cash immediately they are subject to pure income tax while for people who have held it in a longer period they will be subject to capital gains tax as they have recognized their hard forked coins as an investment rather than some kind of income at the time they have received it, they cited a case related to this but it is about stocks and I think it has a precedent regarding this.
77  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sort of a Newbie - Questions I should have asked on: February 01, 2021, 11:35:01 PM
2) Is there ANY way of parking money, during a decline for instance, that just freezes the $ amount you have in an account?  Like converting it to USD Cash, and just holding it so that a long decline doesn't wipe it out.
The suggested options of converting to a stable coin or fiat are possible solutions, but this practice has it's downsides. For one, you cannot game the market, there's no huge indicator for when a bear season would hit, the price is always fluctuating and it's impossible to decide which decline would lead to a price dip. You would likely end up switching to fiat at a loss and jumping back in when the bull run has already taken off.

If he is looking a way to freeze his money or just stop from trading at all then converting/liquidating it to fiat is the only option and not to some kind of stable coin because in his scenario we don't even know if stable coins will also be vulnerable is some kind of decline. Aside from that @OP if you are planning on freezing your fund you better take it out from an exchange because it is more safe for your money lying around in a bank rather than an exchange.
78  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Risks selling to a government regulated btc exchange place? on: January 30, 2021, 11:32:32 PM
By my experience I have never seen any record of a regulated crypto exchange "denying" that they have received crypto from their customers/users since it will definitely be hard to deny. Most of the cases is regarding them freezing accounts of the users and bans as there is some violation on their terms and conditions. As long as they are really registered properly I think you can be confident of not losing your Bitcoin because on their part. Just always make sure that you are doing it on a trusted crypto exchange.
79  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: List of fake wallets on Google Play, 20 active at the moment! on: January 28, 2021, 10:07:20 PM
How it is even possible that they allowed to be in a store?

Google is notorious for not screening any kind of applications and content on their products from their own app store, Youtube, and their search engine you will see a bunch of malware, phishing sites, and other scams which will make you definitely see at least one especially with their SEO. What's the sad thing about this is they rely on their own customer feedback before they will bring down an app which is one of the worst prevention techniques done by any content providers out there. Literally anyone can upload an app in Google playstore and they won't have any kind of good screening process in it so there is a big chance that they will just re-upload their phishing apps.
80  Other / Archival / Re: 1000 Bitcoin Hero Members Association on: January 27, 2021, 10:32:52 PM
English is not the OP's primary language.  I would suggest that by "Hero" he meant those who have succeeded in bitcoin - not the literal term the forum assigns us.

I think OP is referring to rank positions here in BCT since he is both aware in Here and Legendary ranks here in the forum not unless he has another idea for "Legendary" as well but I doubt that is the case since why would he be expecting pms coming from Hero ranked membered here in the forum right? Also it would be silly to think about differentiating other people from Heroes and Legendaries for the Bitcoin/crypto industry as for me they will be the same people  Smiley
