821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Cardano so ignored on Bitcointalk? 2020 will be the year for Cardano! on: July 07, 2020, 01:46:05 PM
And what would you expect from a forum named Bitcointalk? We are lucky that this forum has involved and let other alts have their own sub section here and typically you will almost always see new projects popping out and there is really a few discussions going on aside from their ANN threads. From what I see aside from Bitcoin we will only see alts like ETH and the stablecoin Tether to be mentioned in other boards outside of the the alt section because ETH is the 2nd popular crypto and Tether being a stablecoin that can be traded in a crypto exchange and also its scandals. Cardano is not a bad crypto you are just looking at the wrong forum to see discussions or talks about it, maybe try visiting their subreddit page if you are looking for some content.
822  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there a correlation between price and major wallet upgrades? on: July 07, 2020, 12:06:47 PM
As far as "connections" goes in these kind of events you will only have hype backing it with people speculating that the price will go up because of that particular event. But if we are talking about real demand for the crypto pumping it, you won't really expect this to be the reason why. I don't see how people or the demand for that crypto will increase just because their wallet got upgraded if only we have enough number of people in the crypto industry and the volume of transactions prove it than your connection will be convincing but as of the moment it is not the case.
823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 06, 2020, 11:44:24 PM
When I asked who is the founder of Ethereum they even don't know, so they are diving into an investment without knowing how it will work as long as they will earn as the Ponzi scheme company promised.
The problems with people is that they do not invest their time searching and studying what is the company's process of generating profit overtime. If the business is focusing only in recruitment of people and with every join has a fee, then it is basically an indication that a certain company's main source of profit is from join fee not from their product itself.

You can't recruit all people and ask them to sell your products to each other lol

This is really the main problem sad to say that they won't learn anything not until they get scammed by at least one of them. With a lot of new people beingbinterested in crypto and starting without any knowledge aboit it they tend to go in these kinda of ponzi scheme as the way of earning is as easy as giving your money and do nothing after that. They always see the big payout and it always cloud their reality that what the website is promoting is a scam.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What Happens To The Altcoins If Bitcoin Drops Strong? on: July 06, 2020, 09:31:49 PM
Usually, when BTC price starts to pump, altcoin price get increased too and when BTC price starts to dump, altcoin price decreased too. This is a very basic of crypto price due to all crypto being measured against BTC. On the other hand, there are some negatively corelated cryptos. These follow the inverse relation. When BTC goes up, they go down and vice versa.

We can't really assume that this will always be the case, remember that alt users have the word "alt season" for a reason. By my experience in observing the crypto market there are times where I see altcoins are down and only Bitcoin is up in these occasion investors have sold their position in their alt in order to ride their capital in the pumping of Bitcoin and there are also times where only Bitcoin is down and altcoins are up so you can't really put that in stone where there is always a correlation involve, there is no guarantee that alts will always move the same way as Bitcoin.
825  Economy / Economics / Re: Many countries have currencies pegged to the US dollar. When tether collapses... on: July 06, 2020, 07:50:30 PM
Now that's a very big allegation to make that even governments of countries are issuing more compared to what they are really holding, they aren't like Tether where their main purpose is to be stablecoin in the cryptomarket these US dollar backed fiat currencies and bank notes are here to solve their country's economy not to become one of the problems for it, so if they are just issuing more compared to what they really have they are just screwing themselves over. Definitely this will be another big scandal of corrupt practices reaching all the way to the top of the hierarchy
826  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: While using bitcoin there should be privacy on: July 06, 2020, 03:41:39 PM
Bitcoin ATMs in several countries from what I know also requires KYC verification from the user before they can actually buy it, from what I recall there was a topic about Finland recently requiring Bitcoin ATMs to have KYC verification for their customers. So I don't think any kind of services where it is centralized can make you achieve the privacy you are expecting even P2P services like Localbitcoin as well also requires KYC. So the best way for you to buy and sell cryptocurrency is direct P2P with escrow where no one asks for IDs or any kind of personal information from you to make that trade happen.
827  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India Is Looking To Introduce A Law To Ban Bitcoin, Imprisonment Of Up To 5 Year on: July 06, 2020, 03:10:53 PM
For any news related to the legal status of crypto in India I would really steer clear away from this as we will always see conflicting news in a weekly basis about this one. It's like the news we always here in China last 2 or 3 years ago. Right now crypto news media outlets are either recycling old news or explaining badly the local news from India that's why we will see news that is more opinionated in nature rather than saying directly what the news really is. I know that people see the legality of the crypto industry in India is important to the crypto market in terms of demand but I won't really use any unofficial news about India as basis on my trades.
828  Other / Meta / Re: Meriting: local boards posters vs rest of boards posters on: July 06, 2020, 01:22:49 PM
What are you talking about? Basing it from your post history you haven't had posted in any local board whatsoever so I don't see your point on how you are "unable to compete" with them if you aren't even posting in any of them, basically when it comes to you accusing a local board of having a merit circle should have no kind of traction in it since you aren't a local board poster to even know it or see it happen. From what I see in your post history as well you aren't really active here in the forum and will only come online if a signature campaign is open so do you really think you deserve merits at all?
829  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-07-06] 4th Amendment Does Not Protect Bitcoin Data, 5th Circuit Court Rule on: July 06, 2020, 12:25:04 PM
His argument was straight out wrong to begin with, Gratkowski stated that his Bitcoin transactions are private and is violating his right to the 4th amendment. The problem is Bitcoin transactions are even if not handled with a custodial service will still be recorded in Bitcoin's blockchain which all transactions are shown publicly, it is just unfortunate that the judge didn't go to this route but instead point out that Coinbase is a financial institution where they can legally obtain particular transactions of a person.
830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: July 05, 2020, 09:38:34 PM

anyways, my pick for today is a simple three team parlay: Inter + Atalanta + Sampdoria /all to win - Total odds: 3.64

"SIMPLE"  Grin

Inter failed again, they spent nearly 300 milions this year on 2 market sessions (plus Hakimi) next season, fired Spalletti, and took Conte for 12m/y and they are nearly the same position of last year.
Conte after the game he closed the locker room for an hour with the sports director and there is talk of a furious quarrel with the players.

Atalanta won and they are now 1 point far away from Inter...

How did they reach 300 million Euros this season? AFAIK there most expensive signings this season was Lukaku, Eriksen, and Politano and the rest was signed on a lesser amount but I don't think they have reached a 300 million Euro transfer even if you include Hakimi for this season. Inter might not look like they are being competitive in Serie A but I think it has something to do with their team not getting the same cohesiveness as compared to teams like Lazio and Atalanta, I mean by paper Inter has a more talented team but Lazio with their team effort can simply outperform them and Atalanta can also beat them even if their club doesn't have big names compared to Inter.
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: COVID19 and Its effect on Bitcoin & Altcoin Price? Your Thoughts ! on: July 05, 2020, 08:04:26 PM
During this pandemic many people returned to making projects like ICO and I saw investor confidence increase.
I don't know. Most (all?) economies have been struggling and the last few months have not generally been a great time to get new projects off the ground. Whilst I do think that crypto prices will increase, I think this will be due to rising confidence in bitcoin as the endless money-printing highlights some of the deficiencies of fiat.

You see that's the thing even if majority of the world was on lockdown why are there still crypto projects being launch in this times of pandemic? Like how will there projects progress if the whole world is moving slow? How will they fulfill their roadmap if everything involve in it is affected? For me these crypto projects that pops out in these times are all just trying to milk their investors for money because they themselves are affected financially. If they don't have a solid roadmap or plan for their crypto then I think it's time to say that these new crypto projects aren't worth your money at all.
832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Three basic Market Analysis to Becoming a Successful trader for Newbies on: July 05, 2020, 07:31:33 PM
Fundamental analysis comprises of Social, Economic and political news which serves as the driving force of all prices they greatly
influenced price volatility and momentum of cryptos, forex, indices, commodities etc.
This analysis influenced most price in a market in crypto markets watch out for crypto Forks, Government clampdown on big exchanges etc
in forex, indices, commodities  Monetary policies, speeches on inflation, unemployment etc influenced prices

Traders are expected to be kept abreast and get updated on any upcoming fundamental news.

These things you have mentioned with regards to fundamental analysis cannot be really considered as FA, why? Because Fundamental Analysis is not about what revolves around the asset but it's really about the internal aspect of the asset particularly the financial performance of it to determine the fair value of an asset, basically what I'm trying to say FA is useless in the crypto market aside from STOs since these cryptocurrencies don't have any income statements, balance sheets, and cashflows where you can do the basic FAs like EPS, DPS, or EV/EBITDA ratios. What you mentions are just speculative plays that can possibly affect the price but it doesn't say that this is really the financial performance of a crypto asset.
833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Always look at the coins MAX supply on: July 05, 2020, 05:24:59 PM
This is not actually a definitive sign that a altcoin is bound to fail just because they have greater supply of their own cryptocurrency, yes it will be harder to pump or influence but it doesn't mean that it will never go up in value. Altcoins like XRP or Cardano who have billions of circulating supply in their history of existence have pumped up their value to thrice or quadruple they currently have during the crypto market bull runs. This is mainly because whales also take advantage of the bigger supply with the big amount of money they have, this just mitigate these crypto having bigger supply compared to Bitcoin as it technically generates more traded volume when it is bought and sold in the crypto market.
834  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the economy supposed to be a political tools? on: July 05, 2020, 04:25:01 PM
The large majority of the world's economists share your view on this and they warned governments about the future impact of this "toilet paper" money printing policies. The debt incurred will not even be settled in 2 or 3 generations from now and our children's children will be stuck with the debt we are creating now.  Angry Angry

I think many of these politicians just do this to manipulate their voters into voting for them by creating a "fake" sense of well being and security to hide the real dragon that will feast on the generations to come. (Most of these politicians will be dead by them, so they do not care about this or the legacy that they leave behind.)   Angry Angry
That is one of the reasons why they do not care but another one is simply they have used their political power to get economic power and for the most part they not only have fiat in store but several other assets that will resist the hyperinflation that is coming, they have precious metals, real estate, works of art and maybe some of them are even holding bitcoin, as such they do not care if the economy crash tomorrow as they have the means to keep themselves safe and even profit from such a crisis.

Contrary to popular belief printing money doesn't really mean that the government is just devaluing their own fiat currency, there are just instances where some governments overprint their money to the point it results into hyperinflation. Our central banks also have their job to know what is sufficient money to be printed that can cover the demand at the same time have a healthy inflation but if they do something wrong about this they it may result to hyperinflation or even deflation. Printing money isn't really the problem here overprinting and underprinting is the problem that is see that can greatly affect the economy.
835  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Fake MEW on Google Play on: July 04, 2020, 07:05:49 PM
This Fake MEW wallet already has a lot of fake five star reviews in it, you will literally only see 1 liner reviews explaining how "excellent" the app is which isn't really typical for any reviewer to say. Usually when you will look at fake wallet apps you will see reviews of how they got scammed by this app well this app is showing differently since it is padded reviews and maybe they are just waiting the right moment to strike when a lot of people have downloaded the app, that's why reporting this app before a scam happens is something we need to do.
836  Other / Meta / Re: Its really getting annoying on: July 03, 2020, 07:11:36 PM
If your "friend" has created topics related to altcoins and members are getting the same repetitive answers on their posts don't you think by yourself that the discussion is not going any further and the topic should be locked? Your friend shouldn't really be counting the numbers of posts/replies they have in their topic since its really irrelevant, your friend should really be looking for the content behind their topic and if your friend cannot see the spam behind it then he shouldn't be surprised why his topics are getting locked.
837  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to know whether the url your visiting is correct? on: July 01, 2020, 03:27:39 PM
There are also browser extensions like Netcraft where it can show you the site/url's information. Basically this information is used to detect if the site you are visiting is the real one or just a phishing website, user's who have visited the same URL can also put their risk rating on which will also determine if the site you are visiting is safe or not. I know there are other similar browser extensions out there but from what I know Netcraft is the best for free services.
838  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-04-08] Mining Bitcoin Just Became More Difficult by Almost 6% on: July 01, 2020, 02:47:03 PM
Everyone (minimally inside of us) thought, that Bitcoin price will rise almost immediately and have price profitable even for smaller mining farms. I think, that biggest problem was with COVID crisis, which made people less invest in higher-risk investments (mostly people who don't understand how crypto works - they are only investing and hoping price rise). But it is a good signal, cause miners still believe in price rise.

The coronavirus has nothing to do when it comes to the profitability of Bitcoin mining for small miners. The block rewards is too small for them to be even ideal for small miners to continue their operations ever since the halving in 2016 happened. That's why now when we see miners shutting down their only option is for their resources to be sold to bigger mining farms and pools in order for them to break even. With regards to Bitcoin'r price going up, I believe this is the only way the miners will profit now and they won't be the ones starting to sell their Bitcoin that they have mined as the price of Bitcoin will be the one that will determine if they will profit or not.
839  Other / Off-topic / Re: Email New month wishing Message alert from the forum. on: July 01, 2020, 02:17:17 PM
I can consider this as a spam rather than some kind of important email notifying me from Bitcointal. What will this alert be doing? What difference will this make for us? Because literally if you just look at your phone or set an alarm in it every start of the month you'll be notified by yourself that it's a new month. Saying "Happy New Month" isn't really something i'll be looking forward too since it won't will just annoy me like one of those spams asking me to subscribe in their services.
840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 01, 2020, 01:10:11 PM
Bad news came from New Orleans Pelicans whose three players were positively infected with COVID19. But unfortunately David Griffin
is vice president the New Orleans Pelicans team declined to name three of their players with COVID19. But David Griffin confirmed
the three players quarantined. Whereas last week the NBA announced 16 players tested positive for COVID19, out of the 22 teams that
will be performing at Walt Disney World Orlando. Hopefully this virus does not spread again, because if it spreads more and more fear
there will be another game delay. The New Orleans Pelicans will have their first match on July 30 against Utah Jazz, hopefully their
schedules will not change and all three players positive COVID19 can recover soon.

I don't know how medical disclosures and privacy work in the United States but if there is the players who got infected might have chosen for their names not to be public so really their vice president doesn't have any choice but to not name them what he can do instead is to confirm that existence of these players being positive with the virus. And maybe when it comes to the safety of their staffs as well as their fellow co-players I think they might have know by know who these players are but is not just being released to the public due to confidentiality. After all these will be obvious when the Pelicans will play in the start of the season again, you will know who is the players that are missing from their roster.
