861  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 27, 2020, 07:54:23 PM
There is rumours flying around that both Juventus and Barcelona are considering Pjanic-Arthur move.
Consider it done! Arthur will arrive tomorrow or on Monday to complete his medicals. Both players will stay at their clubs until the end of the 2019/2020 season (obviously) and SKY reported that the players will change clubs in September. Barcelona is already presenting the new Pjanic jersey for next season with #8. He received Iniesta's jersey number. That's a hard shirt to fill.

I don't even know why Barca agreed to this kind of deal swapping out a considerably young midfielder in his prime to a midfielder that is 7 years older than him doesn't seem to be something smart not unless you consider that added 10 million Euros to be that big for Barca which in my opinion is really low for a top tier team. The only thing I can think off that made this deal happened is Barca made Arthur available to talks and maybe that started to make the player think he is unwanted in the club.
862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum the only altcoin worth(even a little) to mine at the moment? on: June 27, 2020, 06:05:04 PM
You should move this topic to the mining section for altcoins since this topic is more related to mining profitability in a small scale. But if you are here speculating the price of what you mine I think that you are right you will be running your operations at a loss and your only chance for profit is for Ethereum to rise which will always be a question mark for every speculators. I won't advise you to mine cryptos if you you can't profit from your daily operations because you are basically doubling your risk when you know for yourself your mining operations is at a loss on a daily basis and you are just depending your profit in speculation, you might lose more money rather than earn anything so maybe buying Ethereum in the first place and hodling them is a much better idea.
863  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The importance of support resistance on: June 26, 2020, 09:21:12 PM
Support and resistances are just some indicators that cannot be used alone since we all have seen it that they are often breaking out of or breaking down of since this market is volatile making it hard just to rely on looking at a crypto asset purely on their supports and resistances. Actually fully trusting their supports and resistances might lead you to have a bad trade because of not analyzing the different aspects of the chart like looking at their volume if their is a massive selling or buying happening which could easily determine if there is a high chance of breaking that support of resistance. For me basically looking at their support and resistance can just be treated as a guide on when it is safe to buy or not as well as sell or not.
864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you lend your cryptocurrencies? on: June 26, 2020, 07:53:07 PM
I have never heard of Blockfi but it seems like they are a reputable company in the USA. One thing I know is that the German Online Bank, BitBond, is offering more flexibility when it comes to their lenders' interest rate offering up to 10% to 35% returns for their borrowers. Reuters have written an article about them and they are are also a legal company in Germany so I think when it comes to giving 100% of your trust on a lending company BitBond might be a better option. The article was written last 2 years ago so maybe things have change but there is no harm in researching your own maybe you'll find them more trustworthy.
865  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can the token of an ICO be purchased outside the Exchange? on: June 26, 2020, 05:25:42 PM
I think the OP is referring to people offering the ICO offering to him directly, if that is the case this person is likely to scam you since if there are no official announcements coming from the ICO team about other offerings what this person is offering to you might be just a scam. Remember that you should rely on what the ICO team is saying on where their pre-sale is available and not believe what other people are telling, if someone offered you a specific number and they are offering you the ICO earlier even if the sale is not done yet this will be a red flag that the person is trying to scam you.
866  Economy / Economics / Re: Rise in US unemployment. Thoughts? on: June 24, 2020, 02:41:07 PM
If you think about it their options are pretty limited right now as long as the pandemic is still there projects and opportunities coming from the US government will be limited so their options for creating job will be for a select few and that will only benefit people mainly who have graduated related to helping the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic. Some articles say that the recession started last February and they might be right about it so I wouldn't be surprised that we are seeing the affects of it now combined with the pandemic we have. Not until they have a proper solution against the coronavirus I don't think they will have a smooth way of starting the economy back.
867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Covid-19 effects on Bitcoin on: June 24, 2020, 01:27:22 PM
Will the upcoming Bitcoin halving be a non-event due to the state of the world economy affected by COVID-19 ?

I think you mean the Halving that already happened?
The next halving will be ETA 10 May 2024.... thats a long time, I sure hope Covid will be History by then!

The halving that happened in the middle of May 2020 kind of got overshadowed by Covid. No super high price bounce, but it wasnt about the price bounce for me, I was happy to see Bitcoin moving along.

Even the one before the halving this year which was 2016 has no spectacular price movement that happened instantly and if I recalled correctly the price increase happened around 20 weeks after the halving leading to the 2017 bull run. We should scratch the idea already that every halving we will have will lead to Bitcoin's price increase as 2016 already have debunked the theory and maybe 2020 as well will be a proof that halving has no instant effect on the price of Bitcoin. If the OP is talking about the 2024 halving that will depend on how much the COVID-19 has affected the global economy during that time, the harder the pandemic will hit us we might start to see that the crypto market will also be affected during that time.
868  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else see a big bitcoin upwards movement coming very soon? on: June 24, 2020, 12:44:48 PM
Bitcoin has now been roughly in the 9000s for a month and a half now

This just shows that we are still consolidating. Bitcoin being somehow stable in a level only means it's still undecided yet if it wants to go up or down as this is the true nature of any asset consolidating. That's why every analysis we are seeing about signs of a breakout as well as a breakdown are still inaccurate as of the moment as aside from the lack of price movement we still also don't see any kind of action in it's traded volume. Not unless we see BTC reach prices near the support or resistances we can't really see where will Bitcoin will go.
869  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beginner's needs directives from seniors. on: June 24, 2020, 11:40:44 AM
Is this the newest approach of newbies trying to ask for merits indirectly? IMO merits is irrelevant as rank is also irrelevant as long as you are learning in the forum personally it doesn't necessarily mean that your rank needs to progress as well, this isn't a mentorship website where you need to receive merits just to be encourage to learn. Just think about the forum when the merit system wasn't even on yet, do you think there are asking for encouragement? I don't think so. Don't look at your rank but instead look what you are learning.
870  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-06-23] PayPal Rumors Push Bitcoin Higher as On-Chain Transactions Surge on: June 24, 2020, 10:44:23 AM
If this rumor is somehow true and Paypal decides to add Bitcoin as one of their recognized currency I won't still store my Bitcoin in that website, with chargebacks and a centralized authority this wouldn't really mix well in the crypto industry as proven by custodial wallets. Yeah we will have a good option for capturing the general audience but it wouldn't really attract me going with them. There power on what they can do with the funds I have is something that would really make me stay away in what they might be offering in the future.

Its better to stay on where theyre currently rather than considering on adding up btc/crypto. Its fully contrary i shall say and i dont know on how it do looks like when two things collaborate.

Same as you said i wouldnt touch this one in talks of storing or making it as a payment system towards my btc tx's. We know that there are lots of options out there that we have

been used to and also much more safer since theres no intervention of any service or whatsover. If they decide to push it up then let them be and lets see on how many

crypto users will bite.

With regards to Paypal implementing Bitcoin as one of their cryptocurrencies I believe their transactions would mostly be done off the chain meaning these Bitcoin transactions will be done not in Bitcoin's blockchain but with Paypal's payment gateway simply because if they don't do this they are literally just like a normal wallet for any crypto users out there. At least by having their own payment gateway for Bitcoin they could justify the fees and transaction time they will want to implement with the introduction of Bitcoin in their service.

872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 23, 2020, 03:41:52 PM
as i wrote in this post yesterday, the transfer of Thomas Meunier from psg to bvb has now been officially completed
and Jude Bellingham from birmingham city is the next english talent, who will most likely also change to dortmund

Liverpool is trying to buy one of the Dortmund players, Jordan Sancho, with the arrival of new players the club might consider an incoming offer for Sancho. If Liverpool wants him, they must willing to pay Sancho worth £100m, so the question is whether this player is really needed by Liverpool? Because they have some players that can fill Sancho positions already.

A lot of teams including Manchester United, Liverpool, as well as Real Madrid whom are setting their eyes on Jadon Sancho are saying that Borussia is overvaluing the wonderkid that's why you'll only see news about them monitoring the situation and waiting for that asking price to drop, basically no team thinks that 100 million pounds is worth it for Jadon Sancho and I think about it similarly. With 100 million pounds they can basically buy 2 good stars in top 5 leagues which will help them more compared to a wonderkid.
873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Nobody talks about Bitcoin Diamond on: June 23, 2020, 02:49:17 PM
With that kind of volume? I guess not, at least the top 8 cryptocurrencies by volume has more than a billion trading volume everyday as compared to Bitcoin Diamond only having 7 million dollars in trading volume which isn't really a lot. On top of that there is already two Bitcoin wannabees taking the spotlight in the top 10 which both developers are doing shit just to boost their presence in the market as compared to Bitcoin Diamond which is really quite both in terms of noise as well as market activity.
874  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you don't know about Technical Analysis on: June 23, 2020, 01:52:16 PM
No matter how good you are at using technical analysis you will still don't have any kind of guarantee that you are making the right call everytime, technical analysis is not always about analyzing the price charts but also having entry and exit points where you are ready to bail out a trade as soon as it fails. Analyzing the chart is really only one part of the whole problem here because if you don't have any entry and exit plans you will also have a chance of missing a lot of opportunities as well as incurring losses.
875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possibleTrump Will Prohibit Bitcoin? on: June 23, 2020, 01:20:15 PM
He could prohibit,  but he cant prevent people from making transactions.

Additionally,  I doubt governments can win a battle against technology advances. It is better to work with new techs, which will.increase governments revenue and create new jobs.

That's what I thought. Considering that Trump was a business man before his presidency, then it's likely that he will use Bitcoin in order to prosper their technological advancement which might help America financially. To be honest, I've never seen his public post a serious one.

I think what he hates is the fact that there's a lot of fraud and scams happening in the cryptocurrency space and that is the reason why he is someone who dislike Bitcoin. He might just tighten regulations but I doubt that he will completely ban Bitcoin or cryptocurrency.

I doubt that this will ever happen, Bitcoin is a very volatile cryptocurrency and the US government is not known to create money in risky trades like this, they always invest in stable assets like Gold with their Federal Reserve. Like what I have said in my earlier post this could still go either way with no clear news of where crypto will be heading in the US but this is just about a matter of legality rather than Bitcoin being use as an investment in the US.
876  Economy / Economics / Re: An interesting case of a widespread misconception on: June 22, 2020, 10:07:30 PM
Are people really getting wealthy though or is even the increase in income just an illusion that people are getting wealthy? We have students after they graduate will owe debt at the beginning of their first employment, we have mortgages that they have to pay for years, and of course dozens of insurances and other loans that can leech all their money bit by bit. Yeah the increase in income might be greater than the inflation but so is companies having ways to get a pieace of the pie back at them , I might not have the actual numbers but this os what I am seeing in dozens of news and documentaries related to debt in the US.
877  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possibleTrump Will Prohibit Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2020, 09:01:19 PM
Looking at the latest article made by Forbes you will see that they have created an angle towards a conspiracy that China is indeed controlling Bitcoin which we all know is not true anymore ever since China didn't show any kind of support for the crypto mining industry in there country. So with this news it feels like they are just creating a reason to have a legal framework to either boost the crypto presence in the United States or outright ban it because of it's relation with China.
878  Economy / Speculation / Re: Here’s the Case for Bitcoin (BTC) Rise to $180,000, According to Weiss Ratings on: June 22, 2020, 07:15:07 PM
Are this people making fun with us? I mean the words "safe haven" and "most profit potential" doesn't really go in the same sentence not unless you are describing the opposite thing. Safe Haven assets are the type of assets that can stand against any kind of volatility like gold which clearly Bitcoin isn't one and yes Bitcoin can be one of the assets that has the most earning potential but clearly Bitcoin cannot be both of them since it can't be a stable asset at the same time has the most earning potential. A billionaire hedge fund clearly is a good news for us and can boost the market presence of crypto in general however I won't assume that everything will go up because of this.
879  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do not be deceived by sending PM. on: June 22, 2020, 05:33:51 PM
What he did wasn't really enough to avoid something as sending his user id in telegram doesn't prove anything or make the transaction legit it only proves the connection of the two accounts. It's not the same as having an escrow for your payment as they don't have that guarantee that you will have your money back when the other party will try to scam you. If you are a newbie trying to negotiate with someone else here in the forum I would suggest that you always try to use escrow when you are unsure with the other party.
880  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: It's possible to trace a bitcoin transaction? on: June 22, 2020, 02:23:36 PM
If we see news about hackers getting caught through their Bitcoin addresses then I think it is possible that you can do the same too. However if you went ahead with the police and we are just talking about a small amount of money for them to even be bother with I doubt that they will do some kind of action as fast as what they are doing to thieves that steals millions of exchanges. Most likely the one who have scammed you only left a small footprint in the web which will also contribute to to him being harder to catch. If the money won't be worth it to catch him I just accept that I lose that money and move on.
