921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If Coronavirus never happened on: June 12, 2020, 02:28:04 PM

we expect too much from halving. we see that dividing LTC in half is also not very good when it's done. and now BTC also does it. Although not getting a high pump, but in the current world situation the crypto market has survived and is growing well.

bruuhh, of course we expect much from Bitcoin Halving, and impossible for bitcoin price can move so fast after finished hardfork, of course need time for investor are coming in market, that's why untill now didn'tmake significant movemen at the market

Bitcoin going up from 4,800$ back to 10,000$ not considered to be a "high pump" for you guys? If you are expecting Bitcoin to move from 4,000$ to 20,000$ every time it goes bullish then I think you are expecting too much from Bitcoin's reversal. When the pandemic started I didn't even expect that the crypto market will be the first one to recover but in fact they did and until now a lot of stocks and countries are still affected because of the pandemic but it seems like the crypto market only tasted the panic part of the pandemic which is good for us. I don't think Bitcoin's movement for a bullish market at present is considered to be underperforming then I think you should set your expectations on something real and not expect Bitcoin to move up 300% of its value every time.
922  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Million dollar advice for trader's 🙂 on: June 10, 2020, 03:47:27 PM
Do you have at least reference on what you are saying here or just your pure opinion on this matter? We know that the 2 items have impact on your decisions but would appreciate if there are some kinda study about this.
It is my thinking only.. and learnt from YouTube video..not only for traders but for all humans...

OP's point with or without reference is still a valid advice. Emotional quotient (EQ) is something that I see is lacking for a lot of traders and investors losing money because without it they can certainly do quick and bad decisions as their decisions are always clouded by their emotions during these kinds of situations. I know trading related books will always discuss purely about technical analysis but they are always leaving out the psychological aspect of trading and this is where traders are mostly vulnerable off. You master TA as well as controlling your emotions then I think you are prepared to accept winnings and losses at the same time.
923  Other / Meta / Re: Bumped by who on: June 10, 2020, 02:49:23 PM
I would love to have a personal bumping stats instead.
Which thread I superbumped and when and maybe the current bumping power.
That can be for those who have received certain amount of merit the past 30 (or 120) days
Something like the report history we have now.

I don't see why the thread superbumps should be public. Let's keep it like this as it is now.

OP is trying to say that making the list public will help them bust sa bump services but like how theymos has explained it, this could be a double-edged sword since bump services can use it too as a proof of them bumping their thread. It's similar to how the merit system workds, you know the member who have sent you some merits that's why it can act as a "receipt" for people selling their merits.
924  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who will do the IEO of the crypto exchange market? on: June 10, 2020, 02:09:32 PM
~snip
Agreed, i think OP dont understand that IEOs was introduced when theres alot of scammed ICO and IEO want used to build investors trust and confidence in the project but a project having it IEO on Binance does not guarantee the will flourish in the future. However, most exchange site only used IEOs to enrich their pocket.

This is one of the biggest possibilities out there hundreds of projects are literally lining up on big exchanges just to get listed their crypto as an IEO on their exchange so I doubt that there is really nothing happening at out backs while they are negotiating at our backs. There is a big potential that they are either paying this exchanges or just giving them a big portion of their token/crypto or both in order to convince this exchanges to accept them. With that possibility in mind I think we should think that not all IEOs are clean or like I say will guarantee anything especially when they are using the exchange's name to promote their project.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: How the stimulus money is created on: June 10, 2020, 01:20:08 PM
It might sound good in paper but if you think about any country having debt in general is a bad idea even if the money belongs to a department within their government. Why? They are technically borrowing money and in turn they have to bigger than what they owe and bet that the money they have borrowed will help the economy going. One of the bad things they did right now is US as of right now is the biggest country to have external debts on, aside from borrowing money on their own they decided to borrow money from other countries just so they have this "stimulus money"  yet did it help prevent a recession from happening? Or did it just made the position of the U.S. worst? I think it's the latter since with what's happening with the US right now from the pandemic to protests about George Floyd do you think it is helping their economy to pay back the debt they owe internationally?
926  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers are at it again. Now attacking large corporations for more money. on: June 10, 2020, 12:32:20 PM
Can this video be considered as a "full story"? There were no companies mentioned, there were no types of ransomware mentioned, there were no data given how the shift from public to private attacks happened. To be frank it's just like a promotion video fro cryptocurrency rather than anything else about private companies being attack by hackers. I've watched the video twice hoping to find some more detail about your piece but it doesn't give any, there were also no sources to be found in the video itself.
927  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC next Movement......... on: June 09, 2020, 09:18:22 PM
The price of Bitcoin right now just made your price forecast for Bitcoin invalid. You were basically showing that there was a resistance level just above the 9,600$ level where Bitcoin "failed" when it re-tested it well now Bitcoin's price is currently 9,759$ in Preev which just shows that we aren't in any kind of downtrend as of the moment but in fact we are still consolidating in the mid to high 9,000$ level. Also if you are trying to point out a head and shoulder pattern I believe that it is getting invalidated by the day since Bitcoin hasn't been below in the 9,000$ for a long time now. I hope you are just really analyzing the chart here and is not spreading FUD for the members to start panicking.
928  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ] QBTC scam chinese exchange! on: June 09, 2020, 07:20:33 PM
What happened: Scam chinese exchange with fake volume and washtrading, doing exitscam and busted by police.
Withdrawals are NOT WORKING. They also LIE that they are located in UK, when it is clear they are in China, Sichuan.
Don't use this scam exchange!

If they are already busted by the police then why is there website still up and running? Can you give us a link about any official statement from the authorities about this QBTC exchange with any of their official statements about it because it seems like I cannot find anything about it. Reading screenshots of the supposedly QBTC exchange's telegram account wouldn't be enough to say that the police have indeed catch them for all we know this Telegram account isn't even real. The threads you also have provided from the forum doesn't really justify the exchange being a scam and it only spread doubt rather than a clear answer of it being a scam.
929  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Warning]:Kupidon ransomware on: June 09, 2020, 04:06:57 PM
The ransomware is unique based on the article provided it doesn't require any kind of user error for it to penetrate the system as the ransomware is able to control your pc if you are connected somehow to a remote desktop server which I don't think a lot of people have. But just like what the article bleepingcomputer created they still don't have a lot of information to go through on how or why this people are getting it so maybe not messing around with websites as well as emails is still a must before we found out how does this ransomware is able to get through with PCs.

I think we may have forgotten the biggest contributor, besides phishing email in the spread of malware/ransomware in recent years, not just Kupidon - "Downloading torrent files". There are literally millions being downloaded everyday, and majority of those files have some have malicious intent. That's why people should stay away from it, specially crypto enthusiast as you might one day be affected by ransomwares.

According to the article of bleepingcomputer it's origin are still unknown and their biggest guess is that it is coming from remote desktop servers, so there are no downloads required or emails needed to be click in order to get the malware. The hacker just need to access your pc with this remote servers in order to infiltrate your computer with the malware. Like I said this kind of ransomware is unique since it doesn't require the user to have any kind of error in his side like visiting websites, clicking emails, or even downloading torrent files.
930  Economy / Reputation / Re: BitcoinDream, an alt of newIndia on: June 09, 2020, 03:17:46 PM
Maybe leaving a neutral feedback here might be a fair compromise? Since the bounty cheating had happened last 6 years ago and I agree with nutildah that it might be irrelevant now and as well they are both confirmed accounts of just one person I think just tagging them with a neutral feedback would make sense in order to prevent them on cheating a bounty in the future.
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KEEP HODLING ETH - XRP - NEO ??? on: June 09, 2020, 02:00:50 PM
This is really not a bad choice as of the moment since we aren't experiencing any “altcoin season” during this time I think diversification is non-existent as of the moment and most of the crypto you mentioned is following the movement of the market leader which is Bitcoin. One thing to note in your situation is will it be worth it in terma of cost on selling your altcoins in exchange for BTC? If you don't worry about incurring a little fee and you are looking to manage lesser crypto in your portfolio I think it will be a good choice for you.

I think so too, the alts are following BTC very closely, you rarely see them not paired up nowadays. I think the fee would be minimal. Better to do it on Bittrex or Binance though? Which one has lower fees associated with crypto conversion. Also, this is unfortunately a taxable occurrence according to US regulations 🤦‍♂️ What was I thinking? 🤣  I should have stuck to my gut and stayed with Bitcoin all the way ⚖️.

Yes you are right you this will be a taxable transaction whether it is buying or selling as long as you are trading in the USA, if I am correct you must record 4 transactions here the 3 sell orders you have for ETH, XRP, and NEO and the buy order you will have for BTC not unless your exchange has a pairing BTC on all three of them then you'll just record the 3 sell orders. When it comes to big exchanges I know that they are always at par when it comes to commissions and fees the only difference you need to look for is what exchange is offering a lower price for Bitcoin so you can maximize the money you will gain from selling your altcoins.

933  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: SEC asset freeze "Modern Money Team" on: June 08, 2020, 08:45:08 PM
It's the typical crypto related scam we will see in the news everyday you'll be surprised that this type of schemes are happening globally but what they are doing is actually brilliant. Since the "crypto industry" is pretty new and a lot of people still don't know it fraudsters like them are taking advantage of every victims lack of knowledge when it comes to cryptocurrencies, for instance they will offer this types of investments saying that mining ir profitable or  trading crypto is profitable as well and all they need is their money so they can have a percentage of what they are doing after all the sweet talk and manipulation is over if the person bites they'll immediately become victims. It's a good thing that these guys are caught more often than not it would take years for the authorities before they are able to find them.
934  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-06-04] Bloomberg: “Bitcoin Toward $20,000 in 2020" on: June 08, 2020, 06:59:48 PM
After reading some parts of their pdf on why we should remain bullish in Bitcoin's price movement this year I feel like even an analysts in Bloomberg is lacking the words on why they think Bitcoin will "mirror" the movement it did back in 2017, it was written as if a crypto news website is analyzing the price movement. Yes I know they provided some sophisticated charts as well as provided some historical data about it but it just feels like what they are saying in their file has already been said before and some of that predictions failed due to comparing Bitcoin's future price movement to it's historical price movement.
935  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 08, 2020, 05:57:23 PM
Is Higuain really injured or is he is totally out of form and did he come back overweight?
I saw a picture a few days ago where he looked really bad, fat wise. Grin But I can't figure out if it is an old photo or actually taken recently.
It is a recent photo:

fatty lolol  Grin Nah but seriously, he might be a bit fat, but i bet he wasn't the only one who arrived to training looking like a land whale, it's just that ppl focus on hating Higuain way too much...

Dude was starting to get out of shape ever since he transferred to Napoli so I wouldn't be surprised if he got a little bit more fat during this unexpected offseason from him but knowing Juventus maybe it will just be a week or two before he lose that weight especially when knows that the team he is playing right now is looking to offload him. Regarding why people hate him too much I personally don't know why maybe it's because his actions in the field is not that lovable or they are just making fun of his body.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Justin Sun released TRON 4.0 on: June 08, 2020, 04:02:45 PM

Here is a snap on how Justin Sun is hyping Tron 4.0, not only you. How?  The poll was manipulated, 8 hours before the poll ended Ethereum was actually leading the votes by receiving 70% of the 20,000 votes but 8 hours later suddenly TRON is the only one receiving the votes and just right when the poll ended TRON won by receiving 52% of the votes. Now I know there is no proof of manipulation that happened but if Ethereum is leading by as much as 70% 8 hours earlier it should at least have carried the momentum until the end which it didn't. TRON 4.0 is about hype and Justin did it with the polls.
937  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who will do the IEO of the crypto exchange market? on: June 08, 2020, 02:25:52 PM
Being listed through an IEO does not guarantee anything although it may partially remove the possibility of the the Crypto project being a scam depending on how reputable the IEO will be listed but other than that this does not guarantee anything. Most likely a lot of project developers already know that having an IEO will guarantee their project to be trusted that's why they'll be taking advantage of it by either offering it with a higher price of or a bigger supply and that's just a way on how they can screw a lot of investors. IEOs should still be treated as regular ICOs in my opinion you should still do background checks as well as keep track on their team as after the offering is done they are just regular cryptocurrencies that is also being offered in the market.
938  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Affiliate Marketing For Bitcoins? on: June 07, 2020, 10:13:19 PM
Basing it from what I have seen I doubt that there is one that currently exists since even Overtstock which is known to be the crypto version of Amazon is paying cash for their Affiliate program. What the other members said is correct and you will just most likely see referral programs from either gambling sites and exchanges and earn commissions from your referrals and that is it.
939  Other / Meta / Re: Moderation of @CoinIdolNews constantly shitting in the Press board on: June 07, 2020, 07:27:53 PM
Look at this:   https://bpip.org/profile.aspx?id=2626969

88 out of 89 posts deleted by mods - if that's not ban hammer material then I don't know what is.

That's good enough reason to get this user perma ban for shilling/spewing crap in this community.

The question is what benefit does this community get from CoinIdol News?

Short answer is you don't get anything good with what CoinIdol is posting here in the press section. He basically just promote their website and the account itself doesn't engage in any kind of interaction with the people who post in his thread. I guess the deletion of their threads are in relation to that where CoinIdol's only purpose to post here in the forum is to promote their websites and not to contribute anything here in the forum, I mean all of their news are shit anyways that contain misleading headlines and recycled news and to top it all a thumbnail that will give you a good cringe.
940  Economy / Economics / Re: What opportunity costs will governments take. on: June 07, 2020, 05:37:12 PM
Generally the development of the country overall is the "opportunity cost" here if you think about it funds will already be focusing on these pandemic rather than rebuilding or starting any kind of project during this time. So most likely we will still see a lot of projects to be either cancelled or postponed in order to prioritized the damage that this pandemic has brought to their national budget as well as their citizens. The postponement of projects and other developments is big since jobs and businesses will be also eliminated for the ones related to it so there will be a lot of sacrifices that will be made and we are still not experiencing it. Generally the country's economy is affected here both in the private and public sector.
