501  Other / Meta / Re: Can't debunk a persons points? is it acceptable to demand the discussion stops? on: September 22, 2020, 07:51:18 PM
If you are asking this because you are personally experiencing it in your threads I think the best thing to do is to either report the post as out of topic or you can simply create a self-moderated thread. I personally don't know the whole story here on why they are doing this to you since you might have cross a line on some point and maybe you did something to screw them over. Anyways if you want to resolve this I think maybe trying to create a reputation thread can clear things out for both sides and maybe they can stop.
502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 22, 2020, 03:03:38 PM
He is a MVP but not the leader of the LA Lakers, it's always been Lebron who is the leader of every team he played and Davis although has some exceptional talent hasn't been able to enjoy the success he had with Lakers already. They are on the lead now, 2-0 which gives them a huge chance of winning but it's still early to say that they will win, they still need to win 2 more games and then that's it, it's gonna be AD's first NBA finals appearance.
I wish to see Anthony Davis too win in MVP because Lebron had been MVP already. It is an experience in his side this is why I think it is better for lebron to give way this to Anthony Davis. Anyway,  AD too had shown good playing skills and I think this is enough for him to win the MVP. The 2-0 advantage for them is an indicator that lakers team is truly a good team with strong players having a high chances to wn championship in this season.

It would be tough call even if people think Davis is the most valuable player in Lakers we can't expect the judges to vote the same way. Remember that the one who won Finals MVP is Iguodala during the 2015 Finals and not Stephen Curry who among the fans thought he will be winning that title. It would really depend on how the judge view things and I think what they would be looking is how they are contributing all around to the team which I think Lebron James is checking all the boxes based on his stat line.
503  Economy / Economics / Re: Possible Patterns of Recovery on: September 22, 2020, 01:57:24 PM
Predicting something now is hard to expect on especially if we really don't know how the government will react after a vaccine is created. For sure they would re-organize their budget allocation as well as think about where they would focus on and if they have enough money in that area. They would also think about borrowing money which for sure a lot of countries will do, aside from the government we can expect that some companies would still be affected in this recovery and I don't think most small and medium enterprise would be thinking about expansion so it's really hard to predict the exact thing on how our economy will be recovering.
504  Economy / Speculation / Re: According to Kiyosaki it’s time to buy Bitcoins, because Buffet has dumped banks on: September 21, 2020, 09:28:25 PM
LOL!!!! I literally just posted on a related topic about Kiyosaki posting investment advice to Bitcoin and his Tweet was about Bitcoin going down because of the pending COVID-19 vaccine. This tweet about Bitcoin going down came first in September 16 now he is posting about people should buy Bitcoin because of unemployed bankers, that's funny how things could turn around for people who know who has influence in the market. The more reason not to follow what Kiyosaki is telling us on his tweets.
505  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-09-10] Community-Funded Bitcoin Awareness Campaign Unveiled in Hong Kong on: September 21, 2020, 08:09:17 PM
I'm surprised that the Hong Kong police and their administration allowed such advertisement of Bitcoin even though they are hinting this as some kind of way for the Hong Kong citizens to have some kind of freedom with regards to their money. This might have flown under the radar for people or at least their advertisement laws are not that strictly enforced but I won't be surprised if the Mainland China government would be able to catch up and take down this ads showing Hong Kong citizens a way out for their money. My guess is these ads would be temporary and they won't be here for long.
506  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Evasive URLs in Spam on: September 21, 2020, 06:30:49 PM
It's getting more and more complicated now when it comes to these scammers doing illicit activivities. Usually when you are reading emails you will just always look for grammar mistakes, the email address, and the links being provided by the email now you must be aware of what type of URLs are now they are sending which I personally is not aware of. Now it makes me wary too look at my emails until I learn more about these types of URLs or until email services will provide some kind of solution for blocking spam messages.
507  Economy / Speculation / Re: COVID-19 Vaccine Will Cause Bitcoin Crash on: September 21, 2020, 05:50:51 PM
You should not believe on the words that is coming out from this man. Kiyosaki has proven to be not the good investor as what he wants us to see he has owned a lot of companies that had went bankrupt and is a well known supporter of Bitcoin, predicting that Bitcoin will fall and following up with some other statements just to make it look real. Kiyosaki has thousands of followers and he is just using it and try to influence the market once this even will happen. That's why don't believe on what he is saying as the FUD behind it will just make it real.
508  Economy / Reputation / Re: DT members are allowed to use lies as reason to give red tags? on: September 21, 2020, 04:59:04 PM
I think the reference for the said negative feedback is clear. People are opposing the flag created by smartcontracts100 while you commented that "everyone opposing" the flag given to lauda is part of Lauda's Gang meaning you are supporting the flag. You may now click the "support" button in the flag itself but your negative opinion about them opposing it shows that you are agreeing to the flag created by smartcontracts100. This isn't a lie but the DT member just based it on your own reasoning.
509  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We are looking for a smart contract developer on: September 21, 2020, 03:39:27 PM
You'll find it more easier to find a smart contract developer on freelancing sites. Why? Because you will already see their rates, reviews, and also satisfaction rating meaning you won't waste your time on talking to them one by one just to find the one. Here is a screenshot I took from UpWork and just search "Smart Contract Developers" in it where this website alone gave me 4 pages worth of freelancers looking for a job, try looking for other top freelancing websites as you will see another bunch of them.
Thanks.  But everyone wants to work only on a prepaid basis.

Try messaging them and discuss the project you want to work with them, this freelancing websites have an option to talk to them directly maybe you can negotiate some kind of deal with them. Also what do you expect from freelancers expecting for you to pay later? Some of these freelancers has freelancing as their main source of income so expect that they'll be asking for payments first before doing any kind of job, they'll just be wasting their time and effort if they didn't receive any kind of payment after the job is done.
510  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 21, 2020, 02:44:15 PM
As for AC Milan I don't think Ibra will be there main striker for the team, the transfer window isn't close yet and Ibra isn't getting any younger. Right now I see him as more of a mentor for Leao where Milan had spend tons of money on just to get him. Also just like before where I have seen AC Milan struggle even if they have bought and revamp their roster a dozen of times I don't think a top 4 finish with their current roster is something to be expected of them even if they have signed Tonali in their team.

To this day,  Milan  is still no interesting to bring new CF. I think, Milan are still trying to bring in Milenkovic or Chiesa. So far, there are rumors that Milan will meet one of the players' agents regarding the transfer process for the two players. Regarding striker, it seems, AC Milan still wants to maximize Rebic to cover Ibra for now, at least until the half-season transfer window.

One thing is for sure they'll be looking for another CF as this is what they are lacking, GOALS, if I remembered correctly they have changed strikers the most. To name a few players they had Carlos Bacca, Lapadula, Piatek, Andre Silva and other players where I don't know there names are. Ever since Pato and Ibra left Milan this was the position where they always try to find another player. Leao won't be a mainstay in my opinion but it will really depend on how Ibra will mentor him as based from my reports Leao really idolizes him in the team.
511  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India plans to introduce law to ban cryptocurrency trading on: September 20, 2020, 10:50:17 PM
Everytime I read a news about India having another ban to cryptocurrencies I just ran pass it since I really don't care about now that we are always having conflicting news going back and forth about the state of cryptocurrencies in India. But if they do push through with this kind of law then I would expect India would be missing out a industry where their citizens have a chance to profit from not only by way of trading. If their own government notice that this will be a big hit for their country I would expect them to have some kind of reversal for the anti-crypto law.
512  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Coin Shilling Question on: September 20, 2020, 10:07:36 PM
It has an affect, shilling something in the market gives a big influence to how the market will react to that particular cryptocurrency this is even how other people earn money from it. Shilling is so valuable that even John McAfee admitted that he accepts payments from crypto projects for Tweeting about their project and I have no doubt that other influential people in the crypto market are doing the same when it comes to them promoting crypto projects. That's why if you see some people being all positive in a cryptocurrency have some second thoughts before believing that what they are saying is without biased because mostly they will have some behind it, just never fully commit on your buy and sell decisions just because another person has promoted it.
513  Other / Meta / Re: Deletion of topic and all user post. on: September 20, 2020, 09:12:41 PM
Post/topics deleted by mods and users don't notify probably because of this reason.

Other than hundreds of shitposters crying in Meta asking why the spam megathread they posted in was deleted. I think it would cause PM spam overload if this was to happen especially with large threads people might have posted in multiple times.

I do agree with what hilarious said about why there is no notifications being sent to users when a thread is deleted especially if it is a megathread. Meta section will be filled by complaints as well as the inbox of the users will be filled by notifications especially if you like posting on a spam thread. You should look into what TryNinja suggested if you still want to be notified on why your post count is decreasing.
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 20, 2020, 08:25:26 PM
Verona held Roma to a goalless draw in their opening seria A fixture. Both teams played when and had a couple of chances to score but the goal just didn't come. One thing was clear throughout the game ~ Roma's defense was nothing to write home about. Verona made it look so easy to get past Roma's defenders. Roma earned a point but results like this would only get them halfway through the table. They should have won against Verona as there's only a very slim chance of them winning Juventus next week.
Roma did not show their ambition and ability to end the season in top 4 after 2 seasons were out of top positions and Champions League. With the transfer drama of Dzeko, and don't have good alternative if Dzeko moved, Roma will have to struggle with other clubs, Atalanta, Lazio, Napoli, AC Milan (that is a big competitor with the second season of Ibra after his return) for a spot in top 4.

515  Economy / Economics / Re: Boris is right a second lockdown could cripple UK economy. on: September 20, 2020, 07:40:07 PM
Obviously this is true and I don't think there should be an argument about this one any kind of event where it will stop some kind of industry in their economy may it be in agriculture or tech will hurt the economy but the real question here is will a 2 week lockdown period give more pros than cons in the future of UK? Before they consider another lockdown they must have exhausted most options like contact tracing, mass testing, as well as strict enforcement of their own pandemic guidelines and an improvement thereof, If nothing can be improve to what they are doing then they don't have any choice but to do another lockdown in the hopes that it will flatten the curve.
516  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it alright to invest with bitcoin at the current market price? on: September 20, 2020, 06:59:53 PM
With current macroeconomic perspective in the whole world, my view is that crypto currencies might gain popularity and with it, increase in price. But, nobody can guarantee that in few years these currencies will still be on the market.

This is just being optimistic when it comes to Bitcoin's development or rather pure speculation, gaining popularity isn't really that straightforward when it comes to the current conditions on what we have now. I'm speaking about the pandemic and how it will change things around it, now people are promoting contactless ways of paying but they aren't promoting new ways like cryptocurrencies but rather the existing ones like credit cards, digital fiat wallets, and tap n go types of fiat based cards but nothing about cryptocurrencies as of now. So if we look at the current price of Bitcoin now and for an eye of an investor I don't think it is an attractive or a smart kind of buy specially when you won't have any kind of margin of safety with the position you will have.
517  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-07-30] Power plants in Iran can mine Bitcoin on: September 20, 2020, 06:42:46 PM
I guess Iran is having surplus electricity and petroleum, since they can't sell their crude oil as a result of the UN embargoes and sanctions. Most of the financial transactions using fiat cash are monitored by international agencies and therefore it is not easy to indulge in cross-border trade. At this point, Bitcoin will be one of the few options available for the regime, to circumvent the sanctions. But if they use Bitcoin for this purpose, then we can expect the US authorities attempting to prevent that loophole.

It's all about making various source of income for them and in any case for any country who wants to maximize their resources in order to make profit. I don't see this as a bad move at all and they are actually attracting foreign investors going in the country, like what I have said in an earlier post here Chinese miners actually move out from China and move to Iran just because they have cheaper electricity. Other than that I have seen that they have loosen some restrictions when it comes to the crypto industry in their country making them more attractable for crypto related businesses to run their operations there.
518  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buy BTC with Bank Wire without Selfie on: September 19, 2020, 11:34:50 PM
Usually if they will ask for your IDs and other documentation they would also ask for a selfir where you are holding your IDs as well as way of providing that you are really the one in your ID some of them even ask for you to hold the date when you have taken that selfie so I don't think their will be a KYC process that won't require you not to take a picture of yourself. These companies know by now that personal information can be bought online as well as people trying to impersonate other people just to go pass the KYC process.
519  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong information about bitcoin on: September 19, 2020, 10:58:27 PM
I don't know if I said this before but Investopedia isn't really a reliable source when it comes to learning terms or other parts of cryptocurrencies. They are great though when it comes to technical and fundamental analysis but when it comes to their crypto related subjects I don't think their writers are fit to create one since it's either outdated or just explained wrongly. Reading the forums and even Reddit posts are more accurate when it comes to the explanation of things.
520  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin transaction fees be too high in the future? on: September 16, 2020, 02:28:24 PM
I won't really worry about the current transaction price being high right now because I am highly confident with the scalability that Bitcoin has done. We have LN as well as SegWit in which resulted to the decrease of transaction fees that happened back in 2017 and ever since then we haven't hone near those transaction prices again. With regards to miners or them shutting down resulting to increase the price I don't think that this will happen as well. Remember that the difficulty for mining Bitcoin is also adjusted when drops of hash rate occurs so really there is a balance happening everytime.
