961  Economy / Services / Re: Do you want an experienced Japanese market-advisor/manager/translator/trader?? on: June 02, 2020, 01:36:38 PM
Thanks sir.
Thats why I listed my twitter. I dont use bitcointalk so much but i think persons can easily understand me if the persons will see my twitter or contact me on telegram.
If you want to know about my portfolio, please contact me.

No offense but your Twitter is also in Japanese, not unless you are targeting Japanese here in the forum you should have a different way of showing your portfolio here in the forum since this is a separate platform. Just think of Bitcointalk's service section as your LinkedIn or Fiverr profile where you just don't put a link of your Twitter account for people to see your work in both of those websites freelancers always try to show what they have to offer in their page not some external website. Plus showing your portfolio here in the forum will be an added convenience for your potential clients.
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vietnam bursts an illegal casino who used to handle bets worth $3 billions on: June 01, 2020, 11:29:00 PM
I wonder how they managed to open this online casino. After all, it would be foolish to place the servers of your illegal casino in a place where the local police can find them.
No less interesting is what will actually happen with the confiscated funds.  Tongue

This isn't a movie where the authorities are always under the radar and monitor every activity you do, maybe in the US that is but it will be different in a lot of countries. I know these people doesn't just hand of links of their gambling site easily to several people they also screen them before giving them links for their secured websites, its their one way of making things quiet even though their operations are online.
963  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: dummy on Trading on: June 01, 2020, 08:09:19 PM
If articles are not proven beneficial for you why not start learning trading on other sources such books, videos, and online courses. The books and videos in Youtube can be helpful and I know you will pick up a lot by taking down some notes while you are studying them. Looking at free technical analysis courses online is also helpful as they offer unique learning experience as well as maybe give you a different approach in trading, I've just googled one right now and Udemy is currently offering a free technical analysis course in their website. Aside from that what I also usually do is to check out technical analysis of other people in tradingview as most of the users their offer up good explanation on their chart analysis. As a trader you should always strive to learn and learn and not look for shortcuts like trading signals as they are just there to profit from you.
964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Be aware of a possible new exchange SCAM - I need your opinion on: June 01, 2020, 06:58:16 PM
The coin is named VOT (Valid Order Chain) and is listed in an exchange that is called www.kolomine.com. I searched online if this exchange is a scam and I could not find any advere media. I then sent my whole bankroll 0.5 BTC and I bought VOT. Invite Code and account authentication were also needed which made the possible scam more real.

Generally if someone is offering you crypto directly even if the ICO hasn't even ended yet chances are you are holding a shitcoin/scamcoin, if there is even an ICO you wouldn't even receive the crypto earlier. Aside from that you even have searched for any background information for the cryptocurrency exchange, I don't even know why you have continued to make that transaction even though you failed to receive any kind of information with that crypto exchange. The good thing here is you did your due diligence on searching everything about this crypto and the crypto exchange but the wrong thing you did is you still continued to go with that deal even if you have seen a lot of red flags as a warning.
965  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion: Link Merit and Post History right from the threads just like Trust on: June 01, 2020, 04:50:09 PM
I do see this helpful and don't see any cons with this implementation. It will save around two to three clicking by not clicking on user's profile and then clicking the merit or post history. Also I think members that are merit sources or people who consistently gives merits would see this beneficial towards their time on reviewing members before they give them merits so I also support this kind of change.

Can someone tell how many of suggestions from this subforum are actually implemented by admins?

I don't have a number but I remembered when the merit system was introduced a lot of the members' comments have been applied in the merit system. So if you are asking if the mods are listening or not, they are.
966  Economy / Economics / Re: Why can't I buy stocks with Bitcoin anywhere?! on: June 01, 2020, 03:02:48 PM
It's actually very simple. Because the price of each of these stocks are denominated in fiat currency. For example, the Apple stock (AAPL) is listed in NASDAQ exchange. Now we know that all the shares that are listed in NASDAQ are priced in US Dollar. There are crypto stock exchanges such as BitFunder, where you can purchase stocks for Bitcoin or other cryptocurrency.

US Companies priced at USD has nothing to do with them not being able to accept Bitcoin as a payment it is more related to stock brokers not accepting Bitcoin for their clients to be able to do so. Traditional stock brokerage services often accept traditional payments such as direct cash payments or via bank deposits, it has been in that way for a long time now and I don't think they will accept anymore new methods anytime soon. But like what others have said online brokerage services like eToro has the option to accept Bitcoin as payment. @OP if you don't mind putting in an extra added step for your BTC payments I would suggest you having a custodial wallet where you can liquidate your BTC via bank deposit, the money you receive can be use to fund your account.
967  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The real value of blockchain on: June 01, 2020, 12:41:21 PM
Blockchain itself is a "technology" not something you can do without but something to improve the current system. Just by looking at the blockchain technology itself you will fail to see a value onto it since blockchain is something implemented to help/support/improve something aside from the cryptocurrencies blockchain as a digital ledger is now being utilized by a lot of companies in their ongoing patent war with each other on who will have the most patented versions of their blockchain. This ongoing patent war itself  shows how valuable blockchain technology is on how a current system is improved by the implementation of blockchain. If you fail to see any value with Blockchain maybe you are looking at it in a different way.
968  Economy / Speculation / Re: Grayscale Buys 800% More Bitcoin Compared to Q1 2019 on: June 01, 2020, 11:23:47 AM
Grayscale is buying Bitcoin at the current market value and has no regards with having a margin of safety in their orders? Can this mean something? Like are we headed into a big pump that is why they are confident at buying at these levels? Or are they buying all of these in a participation of a short so they can profit more all the way down? Either way these news about them buying more than the currently new mined BTC doesn't give us a straight answer on what the future price will be for Bitcoin since we don't even know how Grayscale will play out their current Bitcoin holdings.
969  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: rm9mining.com Fake Antminer Store - SCAM on: May 31, 2020, 10:52:24 PM
This ugly website take my bitcoins for S19 Pro ... They sell it just for $1800 but after the payment they blocked me like the other fake stores before this one.
They also accept only Bitcoin as payment method, don't have any phone number, don't have information about the company.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM WEBSITE!!!
I am currently not able to connect to the website. Why on earth would you send money to a non-reputable service you have no idea about? Always do some research before sending them your hard-earned money. Only use reputable Antminer stores/websites.

Do not be fooled by the cheaper prices in fake/scam websites. "If the deal is too good to be true, It's probably scam"

I don't know if it is worth your time arguing with the OP. Looking at his post history you will see that this is not the first time he got scammed from buying a fake antminer store if this was true then I don't think he will ever learn on  not buying mining rigs in untrustworthy websites. @OP if you want to avoid losing money and avoid getting scammed I think the best way to do this is to buy in recognized and trusted sellers of the mining rigs and don't trust websites that are new or lacks feedback for their services.
970  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Do not download this wallet on: May 31, 2020, 08:59:35 PM
There is a reddit thread as well showing related to this ServoWallet where one user said that Kaspersky wasn't able to detect any virus on their scan, this just proves that VirusTotal's database isn't that reliable when it comes to scanning the file. Nevertheless it doesn't mean that this wallet is safe to be use or at least be the first one to try it since aside from being new they literally don't have anything else for you to trust them with your money. No identification, there address isn't showing up in Google Maps, and lack of information. Basically there is nothing to convince you that their wallet is clean and to be trusted with your cryptocurrency.
971  Economy / Reputation / Re: [Flag] Bruno AKA Phinnaeus Gage, Gleb Gamow, YuTü.Co.in, Bitcoin 100 & ??? on: May 31, 2020, 06:44:14 PM
So if Bruno is not really dead and what's going on here is a scam of him, like the title he put, the final exit scam. What will we do next? I want to know what we can do when we are fooled that way? It really took place, many people have donated large sums of money. It would be sad if it was a scam  Roll Eyes
if it really is that what really happened is very stupid all of us, it's easy to trust the dead & sick people who need donations, but I hope it won't happen...!
"@Bruno really needs that donation for his funeral" who knows.
And @Bruno is really gone.

That is, anything can happen here, fraud, extortion, oppression, etc., hopefully, with what is happening right now like the @Bruno case, be a lesson for us all to be more careful, thorough, need valid documents and accompanied by accurate evidence someone needs a donation or death and illness.

Nothing can be done at this time for @Bruno if it is dead or deceptive, just surrender, sincere all donations have been made by the community.

Right now the only thing I am sure is that Bruno isn't really alive and someone else is using his account to fool people here. There was a time where Bruno wasn't active in the forum after posting his donation thread and I thought that was the time he is taking care of his funeral expense. I don't believe that after knocking us all on out hearts he will suddenly come back online with an old project he wants to start again definitely this is not an action of a dying or a recovering person but another person trying to impersonate someone.

Maybe next time.
1. The dead/sick, (there is no donation from the bitcointalk community anymore), no one gives it anymore, unless it's really sick/dead giving accurate and reliable data, maybe.

I don't think removing any kind of donations/charity programs for the sick people is something we can do just because something like this happened, in fact we don't even know if Bruno is the one talking to us right now as I personally he is dead given the the new user controlling the account has a different way of posting. If we remove all kinds of charity here in the forum for example then the Project COVID-19 which is designed to give financial aid during this time will also be removed which generally I think is a bad thing especially if it is for a good cause.
972  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: JPMorgan to Pay $2.5 Million to Settle Lawsuit for Overcharging Crypto Fees on: May 31, 2020, 04:54:40 PM
The way I understand this case is JP Morgan definitely has the win in this case and has successfully made cryptocurrency purchases in a credit card be classified as "cash advances" which results to the users having a higher fee, the only point that the complainants have was that JP Morgan failed to notify them earlier about the type of purchase a Bitcoin purchase be that's why JP Morgan settled for that amount. Generally I think the court was wrong to side with JP Morgan in this case. By labelling crypto as some kind of "currency-like" asset it generally goes in the opposite direction on the US classifying cryptocurrencies purely as an asset only. Now the judicial court as well as the government have a different view on what cryptocurrencies are.
973  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-05-16] Pine64 Drops BitPay Before First Bitcoin Payment on: May 31, 2020, 03:25:21 PM
~snip

I'm not too surprised, people are vocal because they got burned or had other negative experiences with them. I looked into donating to Wikipedia the other day, not only is the donation page buried pretty deeply, deeply enough for many people to miss it, but BitPay also requires an email address, a full name, and a full address.

This thing is given especially Bitpay is offering up similar services as Coinbase Commerce as well as them being situated in the USA they are automatically a service that is heavily regulated with AML compliances that's why they are recommending BTCpay as an alternative I guess since they become more anonymous when paying as well as get out of centralized control as much as possible that's one of the things crypto users are worrying about and BTCpay can eliminate these.
974  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Making A Difference Through Bitcoin. on: May 31, 2020, 02:25:52 PM
crypto could just also be sent directly to my wallet so I have found out and I dont need a go between such as GoUrl.

No crypto should be sent to you directly.  If people want to help others, we can figure out a way.  You obviously are just interested in having the coin sent to you, and you could disappear at any time.

:/

I wouldn't judge them to quickly of being a scam. I believe what the OP is trying to say that the stores in Africa don't have any kind of store credits and the crypto they receive as donations is converted to fiat where they'll be using in stores. This is a very common way on how crypto donations work and the one you are worrying right now is the transparency of how the crypto donations will proceed and I think the OP should have a better way of providing it by having some sort of system where you show all your costs, receipts as well as documentation of the food packs being distributed will be enough to make your project be trustworthy for others.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: May 31, 2020, 02:02:32 PM
Interesting article and title in Marca today: If Real Madrid are not going to sign anyone, how will Barcelona pay for Neymar, Pjanic and Lautaro?  Cheesy
Very interesting situation.
After a long time, it seems that a situation is possible in which this summer, due to the corona crisis, Real will not bring in any new players.
Barcelona, on the other hand, are talking about bringing in Neymar, Miralem Pjanic and Lautaro Martinez….
Only desires or a realistic possibility?
Source: https://www.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2020/05/30/5ed2c6b3ca4741e2358b457f.html

But from the earlier news I have seen Barcelona are looking for swap deals with the Italian and they are focusing more on offloading some of their key players via swap so that they can able to make room with the news young players they are targeting. Although the target they want, Lautaro Martinez, is keen on staying with Inter as well stating that Martinez is part of their long term future plans. So with that statement I guess they don't have any choice but to add in some more cash for this transfer to happen. If clubs aren't planning to have some transfer budget I guess this is the only route they have and that is offloading key players they currently have which I think is a win win for unwanted players.
976  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bizpaye Project locking hunter's reward to a low-key exchange. on: May 29, 2020, 09:27:02 PM
I don't think you can do anything with it since if you participated in an ICO bounty there is no telling what its future price will be if it dumps it dumps and you can't really do nothing about it. It's similar the risk of investors investing in an ICO they too are risking their capital to a project based on their whitepaper and roadmap. Maybe the only thing you can do is to take legal action on why they are holding your payout in an exchange since technically the bounty reward you have received is your payment and they are withholding it, that's if you are interested in taking legal action or is it even worth it just to received your payment?
977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tracking Crypto Trades on: May 29, 2020, 08:03:14 PM
I worry about using API's. I do not like the idea of giving my login info to a third party. I know it would be very unlikely that anything would happen but you never know. Sites get hacked all the time.

I have tried using the CSV imports with some of these tracking sites, however, as I mentioned before, some of my trades can have 50+ transactions each. Most of these sites provide a limit to the number of transactions before charging you. And the "unlimited" plan for these sites can be VERY pricey. This is why I am trying to find a way to do this manually.

If you mind spending more cash then I don't think any service can help you at all since generally they won't be offering their services for free without expecting any payment. The downloadable trade history via CSV files I think is enough for you to independently record all your trades from that point. I don't even think that you need to even go in that far in tweaking the file itself since all you need is all the trades you have made from that fiscal year.
978  Other / Off-topic / Re: I tried Apps for Money Making!!! on: May 29, 2020, 06:36:02 PM
You have mostly listed e-commerce related services that offer cashbacks in which IMHO shouldn't be counted as ways of "earning money" since anything that requires you to spend on something in order to "earn" some cash isn't really making you earn money it rather requires you to spend just to have this minor return, there is no income going on. Cashbacks are like discounts in my opinion but the difference is it makes the consumers look like they are earning something from the businesses. Not until you really have revenue from this apps without requiring you to spend I don't think this can count as a money making method.
979  Other / Meta / Re: Suggestion for improving user experience when reporting posts on: May 29, 2020, 05:12:24 PM
Maybe the report system needs to change overall for you? I think a much more better approach is to have a compilation type report page where you can use it if you are reporting several posts from one member. Similar to how the trust page work where you can insert the url of each post per line. In this way I think your time and the mods time will be save equally.
980  Economy / Economics / Re: Continuous Printing Of Money Out Of Thin Air Has Never Being The Answer on: May 27, 2020, 03:47:19 PM
If inflation is already in the way which is more likely because some already have declared that were in the recession even cryptocurrencies aren't immune to the inflation. Yes it won't be directly affected by the supply of fiat but if the inflation will be too big its effects would come across all kinds of assets including cryptocurrencies which honestly speaking is getting its value in fiat equivalent. So even if BTC is valued at 9,500$ this time and during the high inflation rate those 9,500$ worth of BTC will have the same purchasing power as a fiat currency.
