1321  Economy / Economics / Re: Keeping money and keeping bitcoins? are they similar? on: February 06, 2023, 10:59:12 PM
The attitude of self-discipline to save enough both money and bitcoin is actually a good character. Both can be profitable but in different ways. We can't expect good returns when saving in banks and can't make a good profit if we can't deal with Bitcoin's volatility. The attitude of saving can work successfully if we'll also accompany it with enough knowledge and understanding about how both things work.
If it is for savings, we don't need much knowledge. Just store your money in the banks, and you keep it there as long as you want. Surely, no specific knowledge you need here.

But it is different when you invest your money in Bitcoin. You must have sufficient knowledge about Bitcoin investment. You must know when the right time to buy and when the best time to sell the Bitcoin is. You also need a strategy to ensure that you optimize the potential profits. If you don't have enough knowledge, you may just waste your money in Bitcoin. It is very volatile, it has a high risk!

We do really need knowledge when we do invest on bitcoin because it does really give out that kind of money making opportunity or making profits which you do need to take some action on the time that it do really make out some significant move specially when it is really that uprising and make out some gains into your entry point which its never been bad to secure profits. When you arent that confident on embracing up the risk
in correlation with crypto investment then it isnt really for you and its better to make your fiat money sit into those banks and wont really be earning something but if you do like to take up some
risk just for the benefit of some potential income then you would be needing to make a step forward.
1322  Economy / Gambling / Re: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want? on: February 06, 2023, 10:33:38 PM
but rakeback ? yes this is what I also wanted in checking about each casino i am gonna start playing and of course their legitimacy .
Every legitimate casino that do offer rake back will certainly give what their players deserve. They won't just show that they have a rakeback but, they're obliged to do it because that's what they've shown to their customers. In the past, there have been a lot of players that are into it and still today and keeps on counting. But yeah, I get the part of saying about them being genuine because even the starting casinos that have no reputation yet are also offering the same to attract more gamblers come to them.
Offering rakebacks even if its not announced so that it would look like that a certain casino is giving out some amounts for the losses of its gamblers and make out some good impression?Well it might work but
it would be better if things turns out to be announced because if gamblers or people around would be able to see that they are getting something then it would poke up some interest rather than on
making it randomly. It does depend though but most of the time where bonuses and perks doesnt really that give that much interest and attention specially into those old
gamblers out there.
1323  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The 4 trading fears and how to overcome them on: February 06, 2023, 09:25:30 PM
4. Stay focused on the long term
This is the most common mistake of new traders in the market. Some of these people intend to trade because of hype or market condition, for example, if we have a bullish market or bull run, that's the time they only trade. Or another example is they tend to stop to trade after how many losing trades.
It just sucks because sometimes they are blaming cryptocurrency or they are telling cryptocurrency is a scam because of their losses.
Newbie traders need to learn a lot more because crypto is so complex,
apart from that deciding to trade at the time of the hype I don't think is a good decision,
because it is precisely when the market is bear that is the right time to buy coins.
Even experienced ones do really suffer out with that kind of fear on which when the market is plumetting then it cant really be avoided for you to be in fear that this market would be going to the floor and you would be losing on your investments.Come to think that as long you arent selling then it cant really be considered out as a total loss.Overcoming your fears is a must but this is the thing you would be able to control it out
on the time that you do gain up sufficient experience here on the market. You cant really make yourself directly able to learn on whats around specially when you are a noob but on the time
that you are gaining sufficient experience then you do know the diffence.
1324  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 06, 2023, 07:59:19 PM
^
It's the same thing that's what bookmakers are doing, they pick which one has the high chance of winning and then put the odds which is why their pick is also the favored.  If AI can look at the winning rate and see through the team's abilities and characteristics, the AI may really be able to determine rates in analyzing these data.

The OpenAI is back for use again but I notice it becomes dumb already. Gone are the expectations we hope to see.
We can still wait the improvement of this AI, all AI has its flaws and using AI vs the algorithm of that certain casino is a smart move but then I think this openAI based its result according to the odds that its database will mine? I mean yes you are right if this team gets the number of higher odds then AI will predict that it will be the winner but the accuracy of it?  I'm still doubt to it, there will be some changes along the way.
Now matter how these AI would really be progressing out but still it wont really be that significant on asking it out about on things which are pertaining about on future or something speculative. There's no way that it would really be that sensible for it to be asked out and be relying on what are the things that it would be saying. It would be obviously going for those past events which is normally be stored up into its library which
it would really be that a common approach and response that would be given out.Do we really believe that bookies and betting sites wont really be finding ways to shut it down if
ever it was really that effective?
1325  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin with Tiffin money of my college life. on: February 03, 2023, 11:59:23 PM
Better keep it some place safe. While I never had any problems with Binance for years, you'll never really know when shit hits the fan. Anyway, congrats on your first purchase! Sometimes all we need is a leap of faith in order to get things where it should be. Right now, the only things you need to do is take the money out of that exchange and kinda forget about it. Focus on what you need to do and come back to it after a year or two. That's what most of us here usually do and it never failed me just yet.
If you are going for long term then better not to mind off about year or two when pulling your profits and it would be depending according into someones preference on when they would be taking up such decision.,
Exchangers cant really be trusted or whatsoever custodial wallets which you could make use.Nothing beats out those non-custodial ones which means you do possess its keys and there's no way that it could be
taken from you forcefully.Unless if you do expose those keys or you've been hacked which had been always the risk.It is really good that theres someone who do see the potential and despite on being a student
he do able to save up and buy at least in small portions.
1326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there gambling games/sports that suits a particular gender the more? on: February 03, 2023, 10:59:30 PM
Just like TV station shows, where we have certain shows or movie series that are designated or referred to by some set of people are feminine shows or series. For example, in my own part of the world where I come from, TV station like Telemundo, Telnovelas etc. They're mostly regarded as TV stations meant for the feminine.
Now bringing this home as it concerns gambling, I ask, you as a gambler are there gambling games or sports that you think that such gambling games or sports are supposed to be mostly engaged in by a particular gender (as it suits such gender more),  and why?
Mind you am not saying that gambling is gender-centric in anyway.

Gambling games hasnt really have that kind of gender-based thing and its free for all and there's no such thing about prohibitions and limitations on what gender would really just be able to play.
Come to mind that even into casinos where there are still female gamblers, it just turns out that male are really that more rampant because we are really that likes adventurous and does
really love to get involved with risky things but yet rewarding.Dont know on why people be always thinking about having border lines in between male and female
on everything we do.?
1327  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think Bottom is gone on: February 03, 2023, 09:54:55 PM
The crypto market is currently in a bull market, and of course the bear market will stop for a while. And popular altcoins are also experiencing price increases. We hope this will continue. Even the price of Bitcoin has reached $ 24k, maybe in this week it can reach $ 25k. Usually this kind of improvement will last two to three months.
I don't quite get you,
Your saying, we are in a bull run but the bears will stop soon! If am to go by your statement, I means we are still very much on the bear market an that is what it is. We are not in the bull as you earlier proposed. The market for this bear season dipped at $17k and with the market now around $23k being a $6k difference, that's not much which means, we are still in the bearish zone. If you get to look at the ATH around $65k+ you would agree more that the bears have still got the market and the bulls haven't go much momentum to push for a bullrun.
It makes sense, because this is only a recovery but there could be another fall that could make the current condition worse.
Indeed, in this case, their increase from the initial $ 17k until now is quite good, but that does not mean this will be bullish because there could be other possibilities regarding some conditions which require them to drop further down later.
We have to stay alert, this is still like a rollercoaster that can go up or down at any time so don't get too complacent about this now.
When people do see these increasing moments then they would really be molding up that kind of impression that this might be already the bull run that we are really all waiting for which is really very wrong.
Come to mind that we do have that ordinary days where volatileness could move out 2-5-10% a day without having any news or significant sentiments in the market or just purely move on random
and this is why its really hard to make out some conclusive approach due into this behavior or Bitcoin or crypto as a whole. Bottom is gone? Dont make yourself that too confident
because price could make out some hard correction or dump which we dont know whether it would happen or not in next minute.
1328  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: really no kyc crypto casino on: February 03, 2023, 08:59:44 PM
I'm sure you know the repercussions of what you're intending to you just incase to finally decide to do it. And I also want you to know that there is no reason for you to shu away from KYC when you actually don't intend to indulge in any illegal act on the account, I have always been in the opinion that because should be told the truth about KYC and let them decide and we also have to understand that it is beyond the powers of the casino to decide if you'll do KYC or not and I think tye casinos are being so considerate enough as they are trying there best to balance the requirements of the security agencies and the demands of it's customers and if you'll agree with me, it's not an easy task.

let's just put it this way, the kyc requirement has been established for valid reasons. so yes, we don't need to question the authorities why they are implementing it on gambling businesses. if you don't want to comply, then go to sites that you think can satisfy your requirements. however, you should know the possible repercussions of such decision. we are already in this stage where authorities are requiring casinos and bookies to implement kyc if they are licensed. so there's no way out anymore from this development.
KYC is implemented for valid reason, same as that people also have reason to stay anonymous while using the gambling platforms.  As suggested it is one's own responsibility to find the platform as per the requirement and use it. In this event most of the platforms provide KYC free withdrawal upto certain limits. Beyond the limits it is a must and need to comply with the terms and conditions for good gambling experience.
Not limited on gambling platforms but also in exchangers too on which once you do reach out some threshold then you are really that obliged to submit some kyc or else you do know on what would happen.
This is why you should make yourself that prepared that in todays standards and set up where everything could really be asked out.The risk is there but if you arent that minding much about your privacy
and would be minding about on having that entertainment then you wont really be bothered that much. For now we could still play without having KYC unless if you are a whale player
then you would be facing off such main problem.
1329  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Deal with Volatility? on: February 02, 2023, 11:51:07 PM
How to deal with volatility?

Make yourself that fully aware on what you are dealing off with. You shouldn't anticipate nor mind much about positive results and outcome or really trying after goes for profit so really bad.
Dont make yourself get in rush on seeing results because this would create that desperation. There's no way that you could fight back against volatility but rather this is the main thing that
what makes you able to earn out of those increasing and decreasing prices. If ever it wasnt really that volatile then people would really get less interested to it
and would be finding another place which they could really see some opportunity.
1330  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much time do you think you have spent gambling? on: February 02, 2023, 09:52:20 PM
Personally I don’t have any log about my time in gambling since I just gamble occasionally and if there’s an opportunity, when I gamble on casinos usually it took me almost the whole day since its my free time but since I have a limited fund I usually got home early because of losing that small capital. Online gambling are more accessible though, I believe most of the gamblers spend more time online now than spending their time on casinos. You can just have an idea for this by just looking at your first bet up to your last bet during a day.
Total random just like the most of us on which we wont really be minding about session time or duration on the time that we are playing. What matter the most or the main thing we do have in mind is on how to win
and we've been thinking up strategies and methods for us to have at least the advantage on the game.We cant really just be that mindful on how much time you had spent.
On the time we do gamble then we are aware that we are really that into those vacant time because we cant just spent up our time inefficiently specially if we do have work
or something important to be done.
1331  Economy / Economics / Re: Monthly or weekly pay? Fixed or percentage earning? what is your prefrence. on: February 02, 2023, 08:49:03 PM
If i do ever had the option then i would go with bi-weekly or weekly on which it is true that you might be getting less or in fraction of your salary but we know that we do have different situations in life which we might
need up some money on that particular point. We do have different due dates when it comes to bills and other payments which it would be entirely be messed up if you do receive your salary on monthly basis.
So this is situational because some preferred weekly and some preferred monthly to recieve a huge amount. For type of job then it would be preferring on fix rather than on having
contracts or whatsoeve, yes it does give out big potential profit or income but its not always that stable.
1332  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: February 02, 2023, 07:19:07 PM
AI is here to stay and in the future will do most of our work for us. I foresee in the future everyone having their own AI that will easy do our analysis and tell us which game has the highest odds. I foresee that in the future, our personal AI will be able to give accurate predictions that will enable us beat the bookies. This will happen in the future when we as humans have achieved a good level of technological advancement. But but for now, What I think ChatGPT will do is just answer our sports related questions. That's all.
Not to do the work for us but rather it would really be relevant on its existence specially for other industries on which it would be used the most and there's no denying into that and it is really that further developed as the years passing by and now we are seeing significant changes and updates on this year where it did really create some buzz and talks in town.So this end up on the mentioning on making use of it on gambling
side? No it isnt really that something you could rely on.On making some searches on things then it might relevant but in speaking about making some speculative approach specially on gambling
then it isnt something an AI could really be able to be that relevance because there are things which AI isnt really that applicable.
1333  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hackers stole $3.8 billion from crypto investors (mainly through Defi) in 2022 on: February 01, 2023, 11:47:03 PM
We had been hearing several news on how hackers have been stealing from exchanges and investors making them to lose heavy in cryptocurrency.
They are working very hard just to hack exchanges and projects that has a weak security, and most of this projects are also a scam one. We cannot generalize the whole altcoins with this, there are still good projects where you can trust and put your money, all you have to do is to analyze properly and invest what you can afford to lose, hackers are getting wiser as well and we should not be intimidated by this and just do our best to protect our crypto.
We know that a market does involved huge chunks of money or simply involving millions or not billions of dollars then it would be understandable that it would be a honeypot for them and since those past hacking methods and moduses back in the past had already been busted and been known but we know that hackers are becoming even more intelligent and wise which it would really be normal that they would really be making
new methods and ways that havent been done before so that they would continue to victimized investors and get those huge money. For platforms then they would really be trying out their
best to find up holes and exploits and this is why we do still continue to see up these probabilities.
1334  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: February 01, 2023, 09:46:05 PM
Your friend is absolutely right. The ease of access with online casinos makes it really hard to resist. So if you have a tendency to really gamble all the time, it will grow even worse if you get into online gambling. You better avoid it. Don't even start it. That is enough to develop your addiction. Not only is online gambling very accessible, it is also available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. And there are so many choices of online casinos to choose from, you could do casino hopping. It is fun yet risky.
Yeah , this is why I let my wife hold my online account nowadays  so I cannot access them directly without her permission so at least I can only deposit and gamble if she let me and in this way? i now preventing myself from connecting hugely in gambling.
internet really makes people have a life so easy and also become a gambler all her life if that is the case.
so please be connected to someone that can hinder us to gamble.
If it does work on you then its good on which you do able to avoid yourself on playing on letting your wife the ones who do handle up your account but i would say that this is some sort of useless thing since
we could easily make out some registration if we wanted to gamble right away.It all matters on someones control and discipline on how they would be handling out themselves then it comes to gambling.
Not all would really be that open or honest with their wives when it comes into their online transactions or dealings specially with gambling.Only a few would really be that open
when it comes to this matter.
1335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tutored or you learned how to trade? on: February 01, 2023, 08:46:13 PM
I learned to work on my own, and this option seemed to me quite effective. I studied on the demo account of the Amarkets broker, and thanks to this I was able to achieve success, because I have already worked out many situations on the demo account.
Yeah, you keep on shilling out that Amarkets broker whereas there are a couple of trusted exchange platforms which are crypto based which you could really make up those demos and much more trustable than on this one.Going back into the topic on how you do make yourself learn then it wont matter if you are tutored or simply going with your own because what matter the most is that you do find yourself that
effective and making profits and this is the most important thing that you should consider out because you wont really be able to achieve or acquire these things assured
if neither you are self learn or not.
1336  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: February 01, 2023, 07:53:01 PM
Does anybody have this experience or this is happening with me. Most of my gambling losses have taken place when I feel lonely.
Today one such incident have taken place. I've kept my last few weeks signature earning aside to meet some medical needs. Today my mother got hospitalised and I'm her attender. She is supposed to take a minor surgery as her vision isn't clear. She's been taken to the Operation Theatre and I was left alone in the room. If anything required the nursing staff would call me. By thos time my mind didn't think about anything. All of the sudden why don't you gamble? and I started and made 0.009BTC close to 0.01BTC and the greed didn't left me. Finally lost all my month's earning kept aside.

Through this I would like to remind be careful when you are alone. If your mind wish to gamble, go for it. But don't consider it as a way to pass your time and keep on wagering. The outcome might hurt, because most of the time loneliness is felt when our mind is in a bad mood. Some enjoy being lonely, but the reality used to be different.
That's not always the case, it will matter depends on what you see on the internet and people around you since those one can influence you to gamble because your curiosity risen up when there's money shown or you see people around you enjoying what they are playing and you will get convince to try about what they are doing because you don't want to be left around by them. There's to many option for people to eliminate their boredom and maybe other people see gambling as one of the option.
Yes not all people can experience the same to what the OP experienced but some of us will look for other interesting things and it's not always going to be gambling is the first thing that will came in our mind even though we also have a money or a crypto on our wallet. But there is a saying that when our mind is not occupied or we aren't busy then chances are that we will be involved on something bad. That could be true and the OP can prove it.

Maybe the OP is browsing his phone that time and he sees a gambling ad or a gambling post in this forum and that triggers him to gamble, not his surroundings because he is inside the hospital.
This is really indeed that situation or does really vary out on someones thinking and the emotion that he/she felt on such condition or moment because each one of us does have different interest which do means that
on the time that we are really that lonely then people would really be dealing up with something that would really be in line into his interest. If he used to gamble that much into his vacant time or moment then the main thing that would be coming up into his mind is to gamble if he do feels boredom. Its true that there are lots of ways on distracting yourself or making yourself that enjoy on particular things
which arent really that always means to gamble if ever you are lonely.
1337  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you consider spreading FUD to be unethical? on: February 01, 2023, 07:49:57 PM

Do you consider this FUD-spreading unethical or do "shaky hands" get what they deserve?
Its not an unethical on general sense but rather a casual thing that whales and big players must do to shake off those weak hands around. They might be doing it on unobvious manner(which is the case) where the public cant be able to point out whether it was really that intended or just a normal situation that happens in the market.

Unethical or not then they dont really care. What matter the most is that they would really be minding off on what are the things that they must do to drop out the market and make out advantages
using up their capability when buying huge and making significant impact and movement throughout the market which it isnt something new.
1338  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 31, 2023, 11:49:39 PM
Depending to your need and to your want I guess, if you are outside your house and you can't bring your laptop or your computer then using your cellphone or your mobile devices is good enough to continue playing the game you want, casino website already adjust and they have their mobile versions where you can log in and use their services.

Comfortable wise, most if not all will still prefer to use a laptop/desktop computer. The wide range of screen and the UI are really enjoyable and relaxing, especially if you are winning the game.
Laptops can also be carry outside but there are still occasions where you can't just open your laptop with you like for example if you are inside a public vehicle and it was moving already and then you are also surrounded with other people. Some things can happen like it will be stolen to you because there are thefts inside the public vehicle who are watching you earlier. If not, you can also drop it and it will be damaged.

For those scenarios, phones are still the best to use but there are some games on some gambling sites which lags badly on my phone so I just skip those games for a while if I am commuting but I will only play them once I got home using my laptop.
For high intensive or heavy graphics online game then phone isnt something that would really be giving out the best experience but if we do stick and talks about gambling platforms or apps
then it would be easy since it isnt really that graphics hungry kind of thing which most mobile phones could easily handle it out and would give smooth user experience.
Unless if you do play on other games which literally into those non-gambling ones or mmorpg then it would be just common sense on what are the right device to be used.
Also when it comes on being handy then nothing beats out on having a mobile phone.
1339  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc on: January 31, 2023, 09:52:21 PM
I'm still a beginner in crypto, as we know from time to time the number of altcoins is increasing, but I want to ask,
will the increasing number of altcoins affect the price of bitcoin,?

but in my opinion it will not affect the price of bitcoin, even though the number of altcoins is increasing.
Not that much but we cant really avoid not to think that with altcoins existence then it would really be making out that partition on which people would overall will be making out investment which those things could be potentially be poured purely on Bitcoin but well it doesnt matter though because we arent that blind not to see when it comes to dominance.

If we do look currently on here https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/#dominance-percentage
Bitcoin does have 42% dominance overall in market and rest is playing in between top altcoins and the rest is playing below into those points.
1340  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do online casinos disadvantage some locations from winning big on: January 31, 2023, 09:49:24 PM
I don't think we can oversee a centralized system. That's why I always leave the door open to such a possibility. However, I find such things less likely to happen on well-known betting platforms. Maybe there are more such things on questionable platforms focused on scamming users. I actually don't know if this is something that can be checked or not. I just keep having doubts inside me all the time. Because I need to know in order to trust and I do not have qualified information on this subject.
It is true it is impossible to supervise all casinos to the point we could answer this categorically, but when I think about it I cannot think of a single reason why a casino would like to do this, if a casino wanted to scam their customers, why limit themselves to a few countries when they could instead scam the gamblers which wager the most money regardless of the location used to access their website? This is why I do not think any casino is engaging in an activity like this one.
Really that impossible and which we do know that whatever things they do wanted to prevent out from those people to access into their site, we do know that VPN access is really that very common which its not
something that you could stop them on playing even with those restrictions. It isnt really just  that ethical on making those altering those winning percentage on specific people because its not being that fair.
Once you do get caught then your business if fucked up.Just let them play and also detecting their IP's  wont really be that simple or making out some filtering unless if you do ask for  more
verification then it might caught up some good numbers but it would be depending on how popular your site is.
