1941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin start rising up what coin is good for investing right now for short term on: February 19, 2023, 04:28:04 PM
I see that btc almost hit 25k$ this morning and i believe that if btc rise 25k$ most of the altcoins will also rise or follow btc trend, so i think this time will be the very best time to decide what altcoins can give us profit in short term investment if you have any suggestions please extend or let me know.
I would advice anyone to stay away from alts for now until the dust settles. The price seems to unstable at the moment, going to $25k, coming back to $23k, and then back to $25k and then again to $24k and a bit stable. There are traps all around, and if you buy an alt that gets stuck in between these movements, you will end up losing a part of your capital.

It's better to wait for the price to either drop lower to rise higher from these points, especially the $25k mark. Though it did cross it two times in two days but it couldn't manage to hold it there.
1942  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Trustdice.win cancels winning bets on: February 19, 2023, 10:25:50 AM
I believe that is the case here, the ops bets were cancelled because of possible abuse of the casino T&C and since the ops have all his bets then cancelled,  he was free to wager a small amount 5x before he can withdraw the deposit, I don't see any big deal in this because of ops is as good as he claims, he should have won the subsequent games not being left with only $59 withdrawable balance.
-Something doesn't sound right with ops claims and only the support can explain better, because they will have more proof to support the decision.
He says that he was required to wager the deposit amount 5x, which means, if he deposited $500, he must have a total wagered amount of $2,500 which is 5x of $500, but, in the process of reaching that threshold, he lost his capital and only $59 remained for him to withdraw from his initial deposit and after all the wins and losses.

About the cancelled bets, the support, as shown in the screenshots he included, has told him that the bets were cancelled by the game provider and that the initial bet amount has been refunded to him. So, there's also a possibility that the amount was refunded but since he was still placing bets, he didn't notice that.

Every host sends 1 "host bonus" per month in their private telegram group but mostly each at a different time. Bonus is mostly something between 20-30$. For my host as well this fell on Valentines.

Often enough though I saw people getting their host bonus around the 10th of the month and my host sent it around the 23rd, it's always different.
Oh thanks mate now I understand , I know some people have VIP host in this forum but they never talk about special bonus from VIP host
I once asked about the advantages of having a VIP host they tell me they have exclusive support if need help which I don't think is very useful but it turns out there is another advantage.
That is probably the most important thing because if you are a big VIP and have your own host, that means you are already spending a ton of money, and when you are spending that much money here, it is normal to expect things to be handled quickly. If you deposited 100 dollars, and won 200 more, you may face some issues withdrawing 300 dollars, and that's bad I agree and rarely happens here thankfully.

However if someone deposited 100k and got 200k out of it, if they fail to get 300k out? That is going to be an issue and not the same thing at all. We are not talking about a few houses worth of money in the first case, so you might as well give them their own support.
1944  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin go back to 19000 on: February 18, 2023, 09:12:20 PM
the bitcoin price has corrected again and this time, it is back at $23k, which is a good price to buy. This week I've done DCA but the price is decreasing for now, so I decided to buy a little more at the current price as I'm still waiting for another low (if it can happen later).

Hopefully, before the end of the month, the price can reach $25k so in the next month, we will see the trip price can increase to $30k. As long as our selling price target is above $100k, I think if the price is still below $60k, bitcoin is still worth buying while waiting for the price to go up.
Well, it's a good thing that you already started to DCA, but as it looks like, I think we are going to see some more declines in the pipeline. It could easily touch $20k or maybe even lower, but hopefully it then recovers back from there and hit about $28k or possibly $30k.

If you have your target set at $100k, then I guess you got nothing to worry about and keep buying from every small drops adding a little every time. All that is important is to have diamond hands and not to sell before it's the right time. The best time to buy was probably when it was around $16k, if you used that opportunity, you should be good by now already.
1945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: February 18, 2023, 06:31:11 PM
I used to, I used to trade a lot and nowadays I do not trade at all, I mean not zero but very little, just whenever I want to and see the market moving in a certain direction.

This means that I am not going to end up with a bad result in the long run because most of my money is in long term investments which allows me to make a good chunk of money whenever bitcoin goes up, the trading losses that I could have do not matter to me all that much anymore because they are very tiny compared to amount of money I invested, it is not even 10% of what my investments are, which means if I lose it, there is a chance I could recover that in a single day when bitcoin goes up like it did recently.
1946  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin be trusted? on: February 18, 2023, 05:05:10 PM
You are now 5 months old in the forum and I think with that long, you already figured out that Bitcoin is undying and is the most trusted crypto. I bet you won't also invest on Bitcoin if you think that it was not trusted. In order for your friend to be convinced more on joining Bitcoin, you can show him the profits that you already earned from investing on it.

You can also share him the historical chart of Bitcoin and by there he will witness that Bitcoin can recover after each dip it gets.

Lastly, you can share the link of Bitcoin
introduction. By there he will see that Bitcoin started in the year of 2009 and it was now 2024 years old.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: February 18, 2023, 02:58:55 PM
There are teams who are already going for the 2026 car, which will be a lot more different than what they have right now. I know that it is not looking good for them but when you know you are not good enough, it is normal to look for the future. Mclaren is one of them, they already said that they will be better with the first updates, which is a way of saying they will suck at early season and have bad car, and they said they are already building for the future.

Aston Martin is the same, they are looking for the future and experiment a bit. These are all going to matter when 2026 comes, if a team truly spends a ton of money on that car instead of these years, they may get to be amazing.

taking into account that there are many people who have their BFG tokens in Hodl mode, it is an excellent option that they can see it that way, everything will depend on the movement of Bitcoin and if it increases in price, it will help the token a lot, but we must remember that bitcoin has a very high volatility.

It would be ideal for bitcoin to enter a bullish trend, there we will realize how BFG holders will react and how they will use it, perhaps if the team gives them security for their token, they will use it as a safe haven and invest more, raising the price of bitcoin token, but it all depends on what they do from now on.
I agree that an automatic "fill with bfg" button would work wonders. That way all of the income that we get, could be turned into BFG right away and it wouldn't be in any other coin and that would not only give us a bigger return eventually, but it would also increase the price of bfg at the same time.

This doesn't have to apply to everyone, just make it optional and I would definitely pick to do that. All of my BFG goes back right again as more BFG investment and giving me even more returns and exponentially increasing. That is something I would very much like, it would actually be pretty profitable for many as well, so that option should definitely exist.
1949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alts Blood Bath for Feb? on: February 17, 2023, 08:49:19 PM
I mean just from looking at CMC past 7 day moves, very few coins are in the red, most of them are in profit right now for the past week. Which basically answers this question, but of course the month is not over yet, we have 10 more days to go and that means anything could happen, we may end up with a big drop and if that happens then it will be a blood bath.

But for now, it looks like a green day for everyone and the prices are higher. Of course not all of them are higher like the others, some like polygon are higher than what bnb did, but there are reasons for that of course. In the end, by a little, or by a lot, everything is higher these days.

All popular browsers have great security systems, but none of them can protect you if you don't secure your accounts properly as you mentioned yourself.
The security of your account is in your hands in the first end and most people ignore these things which is why your security is compromised. The systems are secure but only if you manage them and use them effectively otherwise it's no fun.
Doing what you should be doing to protect your account does start with your browser though. I mean lets assume that you are using "internet explorer" which I know doesn't even exists anymore but just imagine you are using a terrible one, or you are using opera with vpn, those two things are very different from each other isn't it?

That is why it is so important to make sure you are using everything right, of course you can't just pick a good browser and say that is end of your security, you will need a lot more and there is no doubt about that but you should also care about browser AND still doo all the other different things at the same time as well.
1951  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: February 17, 2023, 07:09:01 PM
Okay I see the video to see if what we are talking about here are little kids but no they aren't really that small kid anymore and I think with those age, they already figured and use Bitcoin. I also check to see if the amount of Bitcoin we are talking about are equivalent or less than 100 dollars because if that is the case then those kids prolly choose 100 dollars because they can already have it on hand but man the Bitcoin amount asked is 1 Bitcoin so its clear that Bitcoin is the one that they should choose.

By the way, I already saw a similar video but the amount ask is close to 1 BTC and yet, people still choose the cash. I guess the interviewer just pick up the wrong people because there are still people who are not aware with Bitcoin even though Bitcoin on that country is legal and had some appearances already.
1952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling problem on: February 17, 2023, 02:54:31 PM
In fact recently I have been watching some documentaries about people which have a behavioral addiction, like video game addiction or smartphone addiction, and they suffer in a similar way to those which are addicted to a substance or a chemical, so they need a similar treatment to finally overcome their addiction.
I think almost everyone are addicted with smartphone and many people are addicted with video games, however I feel it's not entirely wrong if you get addicted with smartphone because everyone use it to get updated news, work, etc which is really useful in this world. I think smartphone addiction are worse caused by woman because they're tend to share everything around them e.g. taking a picture before eating, record a video when they meet a friend, walking without look around and only stick with their phone etc that can harm their own life.
I think the ones who are affected with it are the younger generations because they are into techy things (gadgets) and one of it are these smartphones. They can easily get binge on online games and then on social medias. Being addicted on any things is not good because it means you are over consuming/using it.

It could be true that the treatment for all kinds of addiction are the same and one of it is to avoid being exposed on the activity you are getting addiction on. Say if it's on smartphone; it's better if you just sold it. If you are also addicted in online gambling then it's a double benefit because we can also access online casinos using it.
1953  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambler Loses 1.4 million USD in a bet with lower than 1.01 odds! on: February 16, 2023, 09:32:30 PM
What a story! But I would love it if you can clarify better. What I could infer from your story is that your friend started with a safe bet but ended aggressively, am I correct? Because we can't call it a safe bet anymore when the gambler resolved to bet all his money in just a live game, am I also correct?

No game is certain except that some are worth trusting, but when it has become live, I see nothing safe in that. Perhaps, people often mistake the term "safe bet."
There is no need for him to clarify because you already got it right. In gambling, there is no really safe bet here because all games has a risk even if we are playing at a low odd (high win chance game) but some bettors only use the term safe bet because they are betting smaller amounts.

What happened to @JooBra 's friend is too common. We always start small and if we see that our bankroll is rising, that is the time that our temperature rises as well and we start increasing our bets. I can even blame the casino for this before. I thought the admin is tracking my account and when I start to bet high, they made me lose intentionally xd.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: February 16, 2023, 08:39:40 PM
Goin back on Oscars, did something happened to Fabelmans that they dropped this much in odds? I think that was a good movie and for some reason it is not seen as good. In any case, the best picture hasn't mean anything for a while now, which one would you rather be, the one that got a billion dollars in box office, or the one that won the Oscars?

I know that it matters in a reputation sense, and you will live a good life if you win, but that doesn't mean that you should be making a buck, it could mean that you barely made even, or maybe not even that. This is why if I was a producer then I would rather produce a movie that made a billion dollars, not one that won the Oscars if I have to choose between them.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling problem on: February 16, 2023, 09:55:22 AM
A few days ago, we were contacted by a platform helping people with gambling problems.
It's an online international platform with courses, self-assessment tests, videos, and a big community of ex gamblers.
I know there are people here that gamble too much, it's easily done. If you have problems, contact them. All their services are free to use.
I thought it was a good resource to share here. You find the platform here: https://quitgamble.com.

May the force be with you!
/A
their purpose really is very remarkable and glorious, however I have serious doubts if a remote assistance/assistance can really help a person addicted to gambling to change his mindset.

Take a good look... if a drug, alcohol or cigarette addict wants to try to stop his addiction, what is essential for him to do?
It is necessary that he stop going to places that could lead him to fall into temptation.

Now think with me... what is the main place that a gambling addict can fall into temptation? Answer: On a computer or mobile phone connected to the internet.
Enderam? This is the kind of help that in my opinion would need to be provided away from something that is connected to the internet.
It is said that they already built a big community and the members of that community are once an addicted gambler therefore their service really worked. Don't forget that not all gamblers are playing online but up until now, I think the numbers of offline gamblers are still huge compared to those who play online. If they consult on a service like the ones the @OP offered then they will be advised to stop going there.

I think they will also be given a tip on how to avoid online gambling because some of them might checked this after some time. They will need to follow it strictly or else they are only fooling themselves about stopping their bad habit.

Ok I have tried the live support on many occasions and it works perfectly, I am sure you will receive a response as soon as possible unless what you asked is outside the support coverage.

Well, you were not wrong. Not sure if it was LL himself or some other customer service staff, but they responded within few hours. That restored some confidence.
They also confirmed that do not provide support in this thread. I guess I might just paste their response here:

Quote
Hi [redacted]
Do not believe everything that people say on the internet, customer support is present and admins are online more often than not.
Bitcoin talk thread is not where Bitvest provides support though , we cannot monitor threads on every forum.
Basically it is about bitcointalk not being too kind for them anymore, so they probably left, or at least not care about here as much as they used to, and they just focus on the website itself. I understand that LL is no longer working hard to make this big, but they are at least keeping it alive and that is the bare minimum you would require from a casino.

In a day and age, where other casinos are spending over ten million dollars a year, even as much as 50 million total, I would say that bitvest doesn't really have a bright future. Not because it is bad or anything, they are legit, but look at the companies they are competing with, it's really not that easy.
1957  Economy / Gambling / Re: Punt.com | Lamborghini Giveaway! 🚀 | #1 Crypto Casino | Instant Withdrawals! ✅ on: February 15, 2023, 06:58:23 PM
..
Punt is indeed one of the most generous casinos when it comes to promotions and rewarding customers. They even started a thread here asking forum members about what kind of promotions they want to have.
You can check it here: What sort of Weekly & Monthly Bonuses do Bitcointalk members want?
But as Taskford has mentioned, they need to focus more on advertising so more people know about their existence. Maybe it's time to relaunch their sig. campaign.
I know there is already a casino here which labelled themselves as "the most rewarding" and now we have also "the most generous casino" here? Cool but I think you are right with that because if we look at the title of their thread, there is that Lamborghini giveaway that you will see but if there is one thing that they are lacking right now then that would be the advertising part.

I haven't see that they have their campaigns here in the forum. I think any promotions are useless if without advertising because how can people see those? If they have the budget on bringing up those things then I bet they also have the budget to advertise their brand.
1958  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: February 15, 2023, 03:38:24 PM
I did not expect PSG to lose, I know that Bayern is a good team, but they had the big three playing after certain period and still lost, that wasn't a good look for PSG, they keep failing at UCL for some reason. I wagered on them to win, they had Messi (which wasn't certain if he could play) and they brought in Mbappe later on, and that was basically all I could think of, they had to win at home against Bayern, who has been having trouble in the league, but turns out Bayern still managed to win.

I would probably bet on Bayern to win at home due to this game, and if I am lucky like this time, Bayern will lose lol, hope that doesn't happen and I could recoup some of this loss.
1959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin (food for table) on: February 15, 2023, 12:38:05 PM
I understand that you mean those dead people are once helped by Bitcoin. It wasn't Bitcoin itself actually that help those people but it was those people themselves because they didn't just stand or sit there but they did something. They get up, and find opportunities. I think luck can also play a big part here.

I know many of us are lucky to came across bitcoin in a random occasion and then that was the start of their life-changing journey. Bitcoins price or any other assets might be down but it doesn't mean that investing doesn't make sense anymore. A downfall in the price is only part of it. You can just HODL and wait for the price again to recover or you can also use this moment to invest more.
1960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: February 15, 2023, 10:35:46 AM
Basically it is "will barcelona win the cup" and "will barcelona win this game" quite close to each other in my mind. If they win this, only Arsenal posses a trouble for them and what a trouble they are, leading premier league right now which I believe to be harder than la liga because la liga basically has two teams, premier league has multiple strong teams every year, or overall talent is higher at least.

At the end of the day, if Barcelona beats United and reaches 16, then I am pretty sure that they could also win the cup, maybe they will lose if they face Arsenal, but that is why it's so close, just two teams to beat for them, nothing more, and they can do it.
