1741  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 07, 2023, 02:31:09 PM
In 30th round, we have few very interesting games which are going to have big impact on few teams end of this season while Leicester City will be hosted Bournemouth with both teams in relegation zone and winner can feel comfortable after this win even still have a long way to go, but this win could be important for the Foxes as things looking not good in this season.

West Ham which is improving their performance in last few matches after having terrible time in Premier League going to face Fulham which is currently on bad streak with three loses in Premier League and now due to missing their main striker with 10 matches ban things looking more terrible even they are in safe zone but end looking not positive for them in this all situation and West Ham can take good advantage of this all for having safety for the season.
1742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: April 07, 2023, 07:29:39 AM
Instead of the list having a poll would have been much easier and clear.

However my preference will be the interface like most mentioned because I like simple and clean interface instead of more fancy/flashy design and I would like to see instant withdrawal feature on most casinos which is not available on most of the casinos as of now will be a great addition. Instant registration is also a good feature to have.
Instant registration is something that can easily be implemented if a casino wants to do it, but instant withdrawals are only possible for casinos that are decentralized and aren't licensed. The reason for that is pretty obvious, the transactions or the withdrawal requests are checked manually along with KYC and other user details on a centralized and licensed casino.

If they allow instant withdrawals, there will be a lot of misuses of the feature and the AML regulation will be of no use. Authorities will start questioning the platform about why they are allowing this without checking the requests manually.
1743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any casino site offer Ludo game? on: April 06, 2023, 05:42:49 PM
Actually, Ludo is a traditional type of game. So, this game will be difficult to find in online casinos. moreover, crypto casino. Ludo game is usually played in groups more to play for fun with relatives, friends or others. This game too, can only be played by 4 people, maybe less but not more than that. but lately, the Ludo game has often been used as a place for gambling by people who play it. in fact, this kind of phenomenon is not foreign to my environment.

Well, currently Ludo is more adopted by application-based games. not infrequently, many people play it as gambling. Yes, it's like playing poker. but the people who play it are in the same place. talking about the negative impact on children at an early age, if this game is just entertainment I don't think it's a problem. after all, at this time the Ludo game seems to be losing competitiveness with slot machine games. so, Ludo game will remain safe if played by children who love this game.
You are right about it being more traditional and not so modern, but even the kids or people in this era love to play it. It's a fun game to be played at any family gathering, those friends and cousins who meet each other can have a good time all sitting and competing with each other around the ludo board, we used to do that a lot when we were kids.

It isn't at all harmful or has any kind of bad influence on children since it isn't a bad game nor it is generally a gambling game, so it should be treated like one. That is probably one of the reasons why it is not available at casino platforms because it's basically not a gambling game but just a board game like chess.
1744  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: I'm looking for your project for an ICO portal. No costs. on: April 06, 2023, 02:23:21 PM
I think he means he wants to create a platform which is different from a ico rating site and therefore is looking for first volunteers? If I understood correctly?

OP should really work on defining his project, otherwise such lazy definitions are not going to interest any serious ico projects into working together with him in whatever venture he is currently trying to start.

What exactly is a ico portal? Is it for rating icos or perhaps a kind of launchpad? Perhaps a mix of both?

I think if OP was really serious about his "ICO portal" he would have strained himself a bit harder in marketing it on this topic to other project founders. All in all this topic seems to have served its purpose and I see no point in it, really.
He has created a website where he would list upcoming or ongoing ICOs of new projects, and what he created this thread for was to collect some initial projects and list them on his website so that his website doesn't look empty. He says he does it for free but that is obviously just an option for the start and he would probably charge for projects to stay on top, etc.

And ICO websites are supposed to evaluate the projects that they list to find out if they are legit and aren't going to scam the users out of their money as those who visit the ICOs and make investments from their website will blame them for it.
1745  Economy / Gambling / Re: A way to attract new users or a misunderstanding? on: April 06, 2023, 11:36:56 AM
I don't think the gambling site that claimed to be a web 3.0 gambling website misunderstands the concept of Web 3.0. I believe they only apply web 3.0 just to gain more traffic while they only focus on the cryptocurrency and individual non-custodial wallet use on their platform while they ignore the control of personal data and decentralization.
You're contradicts yourself, Web 3.0 casino isn't only let anyone to gamble through their non custodial wallet, but they also must not ask anyone KYC, not restrict someone due to blacklisted countries, multiple accounts, VPN usage, and they should be transparent with their total holdings etc.

If the casino only let anyone to gamble through their non custodial wallet and ignore the rest thing, it's just a centralized casino with little improvement.
The pace in which the regulations are being imposed over every sector that involves cryptocurrencies is getting faster day by day, and it's only a matter of time when they will start regulating decentralized platforms as well and that will be a very big matter of concern for the whole cryptocurrency industry if they impose KYC and other regulations over decentralized platforms.

For now, there aren't a lot of decentralized casinos available out there, I only remember seeing one, I don't remember the name but it was announced within this forum and one can easily find it. They allow you to gamble by connecting your wallet and betting directly through it using smart contracts and live transactions.
1746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 06, 2023, 08:39:40 AM
They cannot publicly display the list of who is getting how much bonus or drops, as this will lead to the violation of the user’s privacy policy. Moreover why are you caring for other people? If you are getting your rewards as promised, then definitely others might be getting the same also. Regarding the honesty, then your only concern should be how fair the games are that you are playing. You can easily verify the seeds of the game and can easily conclude that whether the casino is honest and transparent or not. Hope this clears some of your doubts OP.
Though you are right that they cannot possibly publish a list with the actual winners of a giveaway or bonus drop, I don't find anything wrong in discussing how they do it or whether they can be transparent about it or not. I also agree that it shouldn't really be much of a concern for all the users if they got their drop, but those who didn't get anything will surely get this question in their mind whether they actually paid all the prizes or not.

The fairness of the games is surely something gamblers should be more concerned about rather than the bonuses given out to a certain number of gamblers. If the casino is transparent about their games and gameplay, they must be trusted despite the fact that they aren't transparent with giveaways or bonuses.
1747  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting strategy question on: April 06, 2023, 06:30:15 AM
There's one thing about looking for the best betting strategies to choose, one has to have an experience while gambling in using more than one before they can decided on the one to choose that best suit their want, in gambling no matter how you developed your strategy, it may only increases your chances of winning abit but that doesn't mean you're not going to losses any match played, we bet to win or loose irrespective of how good our pattern is in gambling.
Nope. There's absolutely no need to try multiple different strategies before committing to a specific one. It's literally all about figuring out a way to shift the odds in your favour at least a little bit. Making mistakes and getting experience in losing money with poor strategies doesn't make you any smarter nor does it give you any advantage.

And it's not about winning every bet, but about having profits that exceed losses in the long run.
There is basically no way to shift the odds in your favor unless your luck supports you every single time you gamble. No strategy can turn the odds against the house and give you an advantage while the house already has an edge. The only thing that might allow a person to have maybe a little bit of profit, in the long run, is they just withdraw as soon as they win a good enough price.

Other than that, there is no way one's losses can be exceeded by wins. If that was possible, the casino business would not be much profitable for their owners and they would have a hard time maintaining a good enough bankroll for all their operations.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: April 05, 2023, 05:16:03 PM
My advice? Stay away from any MLM or referral scheme. You'd only save your time, neurons and money.
I can really agree here.
MLM should be avoided right away as it's only a scheme to enrich founders (and sometimes early investors, which is never safe of course, should one be trying to be an early investor). It's just not profitable and finally, people will lose money.
It's best to avoid MLM and don't participate in it, see also my topic MLM - a dangerous marketing stratgy

Referral rewards are too tiny or if they are too good to be true, they are not true (because it's not a vital concept for an operator to spend endless money on referral rewards after all). See point 2 in my topic above (2. MLM causes significant costs)
Instead of reflink, MLM and co., there are so many better ways to earn honest money.  Smiley
MLMs and referral programs are too very different things altogether. An MLM scheme requires you to get a certain amount of referrals which should invest for you to make money, it is a one-time payment until your referrals make referrals of their own, etc. But a referral program is different where it's an optional opportunity provided to you to earn a few extra bucks on top of what you do in a platform.

If you are a gambler, you can get a decent amount of money if you can get some active referrals who regularly deposit and play, giving you a percentage of what they are wagering or depositing. So, it's different from MLM schemes.
1749  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin continue to rise on: April 05, 2023, 03:42:16 PM
It will. Bitcoin has increased over time since its creation, and even though there are times when it goes down, like 2018 and 2022 for example, we always end up going back up again and that's what we are going to see again this time around. It is quite important to realize how important bitcoin is and how it always goes back up, because if you lack the sight to see that, then I am afraid it is going to hurt you eventually. You are going to miss out on a great chance to make a profit.

I hope that it gets better eventually, that's an important part of bitcoin, to go up in price and we are doing fine so far but we need to go up a bit more to convince a lot more people, like 30k+ range would be enough.
1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: April 05, 2023, 02:42:45 PM
Atletico Madrid played a really impressive game against Betis to tell the truth. They dominated the whole match and deserved this win for sure. They just scored the winning goal quite late though. They could have won this match with a bigger goal difference than this actually. Because Betis were quite weak with their defending as they were making simple mistakes and giving big spaces to their opponent. Correa's goal was pretty impressive as well. He got skills like Messi before the goal.  Grin

Thanks to this win we can comfortably say that Atletico Madrid have strengthened their position in top four. The fight for the last place in this area would go among Real Sociedad, Betis and Villarreal.
well, as expected Atletico Madrid was able to win the match against Real Betis. but for the match Real Sociedad vs Villareal I was quite surprised because Villareal was able to score 2 goals without reply. But overall the matches between Real Sociedad and Villareal were quite exciting. Both teams took turns building attacks. it's just that Villareal are better at creating opportunities and taking advantage of the opportunities they get into goals. Atletico Madrid seems to have secured 3rd place even more. But Real Sociedad failed to get any points in that match. so the difference in points with Real Betis has not changed. it's just that Villarreal are now getting closer to Real Betis and Real sociedad. The race for the top 4 is still very fierce for Real Betis, Real sociedad and Villareal.
Currently, Atlético Madrid and Villarreal both are having same level of performance with chance for staying into top four is now easy for the Atlético Madrid because they are widening gape and currently having 6 points lead from the fourth spotted Real Sociedad which is having bad time and fighting hard for the fourth spot with Betis and Villarreal which is surely going to be interested in next few weeks because Villarreal is also at their best and if they are able to stay at this level of performance then we can expect fourth spot for them which is surely not easy.

Atlético Madrid is currently at the third spot with having eyes on second spot which is currently under control of Real Madrid with the lead of five points, and they are having Copa de Roy and Champions League matches as well which will give some advantage to Atlético Madrid now how they will do for this we have to watch until end of this season.
1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 05, 2023, 06:19:41 AM
Leicester City continue to drop points. We can say that the troubled weeks have started for them. As they lose points at home, their chances of relegation will be increasing. Aston Villa, the form team of the last weeks, beat Leicester 2-1 away. It must be said that they also fought until the end for 5th place. When we look at the overall match, aston villa showed a dominant fight. I must say they were the side that deserved the match. It wouldn't be wrong to say that Leicester, who were down to 10 men in the 70th minute, lost the match from that minute on.
Leicester City current form is surely giving impression most chances they can go down for the next season because right now situation is not easy for any team to survive here in relegation zone few teams are improving their performance, but they are having currently the worst time even change of coach is also not helping them for having better results.

One point from five games and still have few matches against top ranked teams mean it's mission impossible against Aston Villa I was feeling they can share one point, but Aston Villa is doing amazing after having Emery as they are playing with this performance they can go for the UEFA spot as well because things are going in their favor and their moral is also high for this spot as well.
1752  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: April 04, 2023, 09:30:22 PM
Imagine a sportsbook where the person who you are in talk with ends up getting a beer with you out of nowhere in your country all of a sudden. This is why sportsbet.io is the best one. I mean Steve literally flew somewhere, wasn't his destination obviously but then he could have just stayed at the hotel and wait for his flight and all that, but instead, instead he talked with one of the gamblers of the platform, met with him, and had a beer or two with him and chatted.

Now tell me, how could you not love this dude, and how can you not love this sportsbook. Can anyone tell me any other SINGLE example of a place like this? There is literally none in the entire world, this place is unique.
1753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: April 04, 2023, 08:54:22 PM
Why bet on a bad candidate? You can just support your candidate and if you are confident about it then betting is fine, that can also make you money after all. Anyway, i respect this and we cannot force anyone to have a bet especially this is not a sports betting after all. This could be a crucial election, many countries are starting to look for alternatives for the USD, and I hope that this election can make US great again, we badly needed a great and strong leader.

If you are looking for a strong leader, then I don't think that someone in their late 70s or early 80s would become one. We have already seen Biden's policies and they have failed to boost the American economy. And the weakness of the US Dollar is not something that happened all of a sudden. For many decades, the Americans have been taking advantage of the fact that USD is the reserve currency of the world. They have been taking trillions of USD worth of loans, paying near-zero interest rates. Other countries have noticed this and they have taken a collective decision to phase out the US Dollar.
Well, to be honest, the decision to phase out the US dollar doesn't really seem to be a collective decision but more like a rivalry from some of the countries with the United States, the main rivals are probably China and Russia which are currently in news for ditching the US dollar and using their own currencies or Chinese yuan for their trades.

Still, I do partly agree with your point that a good leader has to have good policies and abilities to make an economy become better and prosper over time instead of going downhill, and the age factor might play a role in this as people tend to have better decision taking abilities when they are a bit younger than those who are aged.
1754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Thanks to bitcoin on: April 04, 2023, 07:45:54 PM
If there is no Bitcoin, investing is still possible but no doubt that investing in Bitcoin is much better than the others as it allows us to earn quickly and give us a chance to transform a small money into a really huge one. It's hard to invest if you are unemployed. How will you add more coins if you don't have other sources of income? So, we should not say that Bitcoin investing is a solution to unemployment but because of Bitcoin, there are now added careers popping out mostly online.

Many unemployed who are now working in Bitcoin related jobs are so thankful about Bitcoin. Other than this, it's also a great alternative to a local currency most especially if they are experiencing an issue like what happened there to Nigeria.
1755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [POLL] Using AI to predict outcomes on: April 04, 2023, 07:15:39 AM
But no matter what people want, the thing that matters is what the reality is, and the reality is that AI isn't really up to the mark to do this task for now, so no matter how much someone wishes to have an AI do their work, they will have to do it themselves if they want to be able to win.
I might partially disagree. AI technology is really insane that they can do anything now that humans can't even do.

The AI technology really improve nowadays and guess what, being used now at some industries.

Soon, there will be a time that companies will only rely on AI for such minor tasks.
There is definitely no doubt that AI is a powerful technology that has got the ability to do a whole lot of things that humans can either not do or do very slowly, and no one can deny the fact that AI is being utilized in a lot of industries for a lot of operations that it can easily do and make things look more perfect and on the track.

But, when it comes to sports betting, there are some minor things that the AI cannot see or know if they happen all of a sudden. Let me give you an example, let's suppose there is a football match coming up, there are always some favorite and best players in teams that the teams mostly rely on, and, imagine that the favorite side's best player picks up an injury before the match and isn't included in the squad. Now, the news spreads pretty fast and humans can find out, but how would AI know that unless it is available as a data source to them? And the whole result of the game can be changed just by this thing. Hence, AI isn't perfect for this at least for now, we can't say anything for the future.
1756  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit Casino loosing value due to Licensing Ambiguity amongst users on: April 03, 2023, 08:09:04 PM
I think they are more in trouble because them offering crypto derivatives trading more than their expiration of the license. They are not a decentralized platform, so they would probably need a license to provide trading services of any sort, and on top of that, their current casino license is also under problems, so they will probably be in more trouble if they don't resolve these issues soon.

Hasty decisions based on greed can always get you in trouble. I'm sure they would have been on the safer side if they had hired a lawyer first and checked with the legal aspects before all their operations that are now being questioned.
1757  Economy / Gambling / Re: Duckdice.io Fake Trustpilot Reviews on: April 03, 2023, 07:15:52 PM
This is not uncommon. Many websites either contract people to professionally create reviews on sites like TrustPilot or incentivize their users to do so, just like DuckDice has done with you. Websites like this are for the most part useless and a new solution is definitely due. One will probably be created with web3 at some point, until then, manual due diligence is what everyone should be doing. Giving DuckDice a quick google will quickly point you to a lot of bad experiences, some are even posted here on BitcoinTalk.
Their representatives responded to this and said that they are not behind this and they never asked this guy to post reviews to get paid, and it has also been proved by a user that it is very easy to manipulate screenshots and make them look the way you want them to look, so maybe we shouldn't reach conclusions before everything is totally clear.

I don't disagree with the fact that websites or services do buy such packages from those who offer or they even ask people themselves to do so to get paid, but I think it will be wiser to just wait and see if they were actually behind this or it's just a plot to harm their reputation.
1758  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing looses Vs Finding closure: Any difference? on: April 03, 2023, 06:02:46 PM
Someone who is addicted to gambling to the extent that he sells assets or property just to gamble is very difficult to recover from, even doctors or psychologists will not be able to cure him.
If he can recover, he will not recover completely but rather forget about gambling and when in his daily life he still sees gambling activities he can easily return to gambling and become an addict again.
Gambling addiction must be treated as any other addiction, the first step is to realize that there is a problem, then talk about the problem and the last step is to work on a solution, but most of gambling addicts are chasing looses on the long road, and that never has a happy end.

Betting back to the topic, I don't think is the same, chasing losses is different, and the fact that someone says "I will be betting until win" is a risky move because bad streaks can be really bad and lead to a huge loss.
It's even more dangerous than some other addictions, but you are right that it needs to be taken care of before things get out of hand because the more one gambles the deeper one dive into it, and as you said, they don't get out at the other end happily. Gambling addiction ruins lives, and we've seen it and usually see it around us all the time.

People need to learn from the existing examples of those people who ruined their lives by only trying to recover their losses which kept causing them more losses until they gambled away everything they had. They realize it sometimes but only when everything is gone, which is a very late realization.
1759  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long in Years Should I Wait Before I Close Down an Unprofitable Business on: April 03, 2023, 03:11:04 PM
3 years of waiting is a bit long. I think it will only cause more problems to you so I think the advice isn't really good to follow. For me I think the ideal time of waiting is a month or two. This must be long enough already to know if there is still a sign that your business is going to survive or not. Not only money that we can waste if we wait longer if there is no improvement but also time. If only we can move on to other fields, maybe we can find our luck there and we can recover our previous losses in no time.

Quote
According to him, "people can get so stuck on a bad idea that they just keep thinking that if I keep working on it, it's going to fix itself. It doesn't fix itself. It was put on your journey to teach you, what not to do."

- To what extent do you agree or disagree with this assertion ?
I think I can both disagree and agree. Disagree because, the idea of trying is also correct but if the situation is still the same, that is how the statement becomes right. Maybe it was really put there for us to avoid.
1760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: April 03, 2023, 05:21:40 AM
I think that's over now right? I haven't seen this offered anywhere yet. Even if the article states it is still a thing, I still don't find any game like that on my usual online casinos.

It seems to me so complicated for a casino to offer a slot in this genre, it seems to me almost contradictory with the primary purpose of slot games.

Anyway thanks OP, it was a very interesting article, I will try to find more resources on this subject
I don't think it's over but it is more like it isn't very popular or widely used, and it might only be available at some land-based casinos for now. The concept sounds pretty interesting but we can't really make any judgments before we witness it ourselves since it isn't available on online platforms, it's difficult to understand how it actually works.

I've not checked yet but maybe there are videos available about it and its gameplay on YouTube or maybe on social media channels. I will try if I can find some because I'm also curious to know how it really works.
