1781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's still really hard to use bitcoin as a regular currency on: June 20, 2017, 11:12:26 PM
over the course of time bitcoin have changed from being a currency that was supoosed to be used on the internet instead of credit cards and other payment methods, to becoming a type of investment that people use like gold, and since the price of bitcoin started going up it became less to see bitcoin used in regular purchses.

1782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: June 15, 2017, 11:45:03 AM
As some poeple might not know bitcoin is the main currency that is being used for transactions on the black market and that is due to the fact that bitcoin is annonymous, it does not require you any identification, so that makes it the perfect cover to use money to do some illeagal actions, but the thing is this not the case only with bitcoin but it has been the case with regular money, every thing may seem bad when people use it the wrong way
1783  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2017, 11:15:53 AM
It really won't be a good thing for banks to start accepting Bitcoin because that would defeat the same essence of it been an anonymous coin. There's no banking activity that goes without proper documentation. And if Bitcoin were to be involved, it then means that holders of the coins will be known through documentation. However, I am yet to see any bank that's accepting Bitcoin in this part of Africa that I am.
I agree the whoke idea if using bitcoin  is to get away from the hands of the banks and goverments and using bitcoin in banks defies that idea, however there a bitcoin debit cards which can be used at any ATM and in any bank so i ma not sure if that is what you ment by banks aceepting bitcoin or not, as far as depositing money through bitcoin i don't think there is one bank out there that does that.
1784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's still really hard to use bitcoin as a regular currency on: June 15, 2017, 08:49:22 AM
The days of doing small purchases with bitcoin are over now. The fees have risen too much to make this feasible.

Bitcoin is changing more to a store of value in its current shape than a currency.
Indeed, trying to use bitcoin to buy things has been a major probel since bitcoin has first been released and this probelm became even harder these days with the transaction getting slower and fees getting higher, i means most of the gmabling sites that are the major target when it comes to spending some coins are shutting down because if this issue, the only way that we could use bitcoin to buy stuff is either by using bitcoin debit cards or exchanging it to cash
1785  Other / Off-topic / Re: how to reach 1btc on: June 15, 2017, 08:27:35 AM
The best method and the most safe would be holding your BTC, keep going at campaigns and aim at giveaways and faucets, You can try getting more trading but trading is risky, even the USD/BTC let alone cryptocurrencies which is like gambling very much.
Trying to get to 1 btc these days from scratch is way too hard than it used to be 3 years ago, signiture campaigns and faucets don't give that much and trying to just hold bitcoin is not going to get them to multiply they will grow in value not in number, so if you really want to get 1 btc it is going to take a really long time to reach that goal.
1786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convince people into you using Bitcoin? on: June 15, 2017, 08:14:11 AM
When i try to tell poeple about bitcoin they think of it as an illeagal way to get money thye think that i am hacking or stealling credit cards, or they think i gamble with it, the only way that you can convince them anout bitcoin is telling them how do you earn bitcoin from signiture campaigns on this forum, and how you can earn money from just speaking with peopole about differnet things.
1787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can cryptocurrency make real money disappear? on: June 15, 2017, 07:48:44 AM
i think that cryptocurrency will never make the real money disappear the reson for that is that it is like any other new type of payment, it is like PayPal like credit cards and others it can be good and easy for use to some people and complicated and hard and useless to others, the point is that cryptocurrency should exist for the people who like to use it.
1788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin, is it worth spending time collecting it? on: June 14, 2017, 11:24:45 PM
bitcoin is definetly worth collecting so long as you have free time, i see some poeple dedicating thier lives to bitcoin leaving thier jobs to it, but that is not the case bitcoin should be a way to get an extra income because it may work out for you or it could drop at anytime that is why you should always have a backup plan and get the most out of as long as it is good.
1789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safest way to keep bitcoins? on: June 14, 2017, 10:32:44 PM
I think that poeple are overreacting when it comes to online wallets, i mean what is the safest using an offline wallet and storing your coins on desktop where you are vaurnable for hacks and your pc could stop working and you can't do a thing about it, or store them on online wallets where they are stored on servers with complete secuirrity.
1790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $8 fee? for a $73 transaction? Really what the fuc is going on? on: June 14, 2017, 09:59:38 PM
i think that its our fault, because we as bitcoin users have falled to the trap of the miners, they started getting greedt as soon as bitcoin started to skyrocket and they asked for more and we gave thel what they wanted, so they kept asking for more and more and they will not stop so lang as poeple keep giving them what they want, we have to make actions now while we still can otherwise we will see immense consequences when it comes to transaction fees
1791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin be used by ordinary citizens? on: June 14, 2017, 05:27:49 PM
in the virtual world, you can't identify the people whether the ordinary or elite, so how you can tell that bitcoin is using by the ordinary people. curious mind wants to know that, what is the definition of ordinary people..? if any person is able to operate the internet then how could you tell them as an ordinary person..?
I think the op is talking about the people around him. For me maybe the users who understand the internet would be quite easy to accept and know bitcoin. While people who are new to technology and away from computer facilities it will be quite difficult to apply bitcoin in real life. I think everyone can use bitcoin, provided they have a passion for wanting to change and accept bitcoin as a much better financial revolution.

I agree with you. Bitcoin can be used by all people who access the Internet. But it will be more easy for people who use the Internet well or professional because Bitcoin is a complicated chain.
Just like you said bitcoin can only be used through internet, and it is true that almost everyone today have cellphone with internet access in it , but most poeple would rather use either credit cards and real cash money because it is way more simple then loging in on your wallet figuiring how much you will pay in bitcoin considering that the price is always changing and the sending it and wait ing for the transactions to get completed which today could take hours which means you could wait hours in a shop in order to pay for somthing.
1792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: June 14, 2017, 04:50:16 PM
If U cant afford the fees, use altcoins... simple trick

Monero = 10 cente fees
Litecoin = 25 cents

Two are best for fast and low cost effective solution
It's not trick and it is not solution.
I don't want to use alcoins. I want to use bitcoin, as the matter of fact i started with whole bitcoin thing because of bitcoin, not altcoin.
I remember a year and a half ago it was normal to send transaction and pay 10-15K satoshi fee.
What the hell went wrong?

Me too, I would not use altcoins just for saving on fees. That's ridiculous.

I also remember that. It was fine to put just 0.0001 btc as fees and it will confirm within the day. I guess the number of people using bitcoins has significantly increased and the network is not keeping up.
That is the problem there many poeple coming to the bitcoin, and they are putting a lot of presure on the network so miners need to prioritaize the transactions that have more fees, and i think that the more time goes by more people will come, so this needs to be solved in order to limite the fees that go out.
1793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will be see bitcoin as international currency? on: June 14, 2017, 04:10:54 PM
Bitcoin is already accepted in many countries, and like any other type of payment or currency it is not going to be accepted or used by everyone in this world, i means take paypal or credit cards for exemple not every person in the world uses it and they still exist because it is somthing not sutibale for everyone and the same case with bitcoin.
1794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: June 14, 2017, 03:38:37 PM
if it comes to buying bitcoin and saving it, there is not much risk involved like investing it in sites or using it to grow more of it, because trying to invest it in some sites you may get scammed and lose it all or you my not get that huge profit and lose a lot on transactions, saving it however is a good idea because it is growing day by day.
1795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $0.85 transaction fee is absolutely ridiculous! on: June 11, 2017, 09:52:57 PM
I can't believe anyone still tries to rationalize and defend these high fees. Do we have to wait until it gets to $100 per transaction before people say enough is enough?

Bitcoin should be accessible to everyone but with the current fees its already becoming less and less the case.
It’s better to just try to hold onto your Bitcoins instead of trying to spend them on something that would be multiple times cheaper in the later years. I really don’t spend $100 for Bitcoin transactions and I know that by using Bitcoin the price of it will go up eventually and the people that use it are only going to have to bring in more complaints about the transaction fee since the price of Bitcoin will be more expensive then it is right now.
We all know right now that bitcoin's price is quit high at the moment and this price makes poeple mad about it , means that every day more poeple come to this new currency and that means more transactions, more transactions means more work for miners and to make them pick up your transaction you have to pay high fees,
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: June 10, 2017, 09:55:20 PM
Of course for the future. At the beginning of knowing bitcoin, i just use it to be converted into fiat. But once i understand the bright bitcoin prospects, i use bitcoin just for trading. Because, i think with limited suppy will make bitcoin prices soaring in future.
Yes you are absolutely right the bitcoin price will raise more high and the reason for making it higher is the limited number of the bitcoin available in the market. Those people are the luck one who understand this concept and work on the harvesting of the bitcoin.  I in the beginning was also not much aware of this strength of the bitcoin but with the passage of time I understood it and I am now saving it for my future.
I belevie the only resaon people are talking som much about saving bitcoin these days is the fact that spending or rather moving it around is not good because you would have to pay high fees, so for exemple if you want to trade with it or exchange it you would lose so much trying to do that, so saving it until this whole fee thing gets fixed is the best option.
1797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does regulating bitcoins is necessary for global adoption? on: June 10, 2017, 08:59:25 PM
i don't think its about regulation so that bitcoin gets adapt, it is rather about being avialable and accessable for all people around the worl, the probbelm with bitcoin is it needs internet to operate if there is no internet the whole sysytem will fail, and up until now some people still don't have internet access.
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think? on: June 10, 2017, 08:28:46 PM
It is a matter of interest not rich or poor, bitcoin is a currency everyone can use it to earn. However rich people have many other ways to invest and earn that's why they prefer other ways over bitcoin.
You may be right, but we can't denay the fact that the price of the bitcoin right now is way higher than it used to be which means that not all people can earn the same from it, rich people have the option to buy bitcoin and use it to grow it and invest with it, avreage poeple earn a very small amount and don't have the same options as others.
1799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Altcoin? on: June 10, 2017, 08:03:13 PM
Altcoins are very important to the cryptocurrency  world, espacially lately sunce bitcoin transactions has become very slower and have more fees into them, apart from the price some popular cryptocurencies provide or claim they have better features than bitcoin, and i see that people are starting to invest in them, so we may seee them rise in the near future.
1800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: June 10, 2017, 05:49:55 PM
That way government will never succeed in their plan to bring I down. Bitcoin and blockchain technology is sophisticated matter and it is a part of internet itself where the transactions are confirmed on the roadmap of complex internet. It uses personal PC's to complex miners to confirm the node and works completely publicly. When it is about public interest banks will not be able to change the course of it. The government if try to regulate it then bitcoin will be revolted for the price that government has to pay.
Yes I believe if the poor class comes to know about the bitcoin and they start using the bitcoin, it will be much better for both the bitcoin and its user future. If we make the Bitcoin a status symbol which should never be because of its core function. It will never help the Bitcoin to grow further because a specific class will keep it just like the gold and diamonds.
As good as it seems for people wit low income to use bitcoin to earn money, but over the years bitcoin has become demanding, it means thta not only requires internet but also dedecation and as time goes by it become more and more expensive, which means it is going to take much effort to collect it, not mentioning also that fees are getting higher so in total the gain compared to the effort is not going to be that high, so bitcoin should always be a thing for extra income and not as a mian job or a way of getting money
