1201  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRAP or TREND? on: April 25, 2018, 06:55:23 PM
This is big trap bullish or uptrend for bull team. What do you thinking now?
No one really knows which is which honesty, the cryptocurrency market has been and will always be unpredictable and anyone who says that he actually knows what is happening with the price changes is full of it, for all we know the current situation is slowly improving, the bitcoin price is for sure not going to rise as fast as it did last year, but it will surely keep on going up, so it does not matter weather it is a trap or a trend.
1202  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling: The Seven Deadly Sins on: April 25, 2018, 05:49:05 PM
Gambling is part of life, but if you gamble Bitcoin means you want to take the risk it's because gambling can give you two option. Be poor or be rich. Waste your money in gambling without even thinking your needs then your done, but gambling with wise decision then your okay with it. We cannot just conclude what gamblers feel, it always depends to what we want to do. Don't gamble with shitcoins always gamble with pure one.
The fact that people think that gambling is made as a part of life away to make living, is what makes them fall to their greed, gambling shouldn't be a thing that you must do, it is something that kind you want to do when you have some extra money, it was meant as an entertainment not as job, because otherwise it will become an addiction and causes you as far as losing all your money.
1203  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I NEO going to be coin of the year? on: April 25, 2018, 04:51:49 PM
NEON wallet updated, some extra functionality on the chain and very promising ICOs choosing NEO as platform because it incorporates compliance and is very fast and cheap. Do you think that this is NEO-YEAR?
i wouldn't say that NEO is not a good coin to invest in and it is not profitable, but i wouldn't put it up there with Ethereum, maybe the platform is well polished and fast and cheap, but that does not mean that people will chose it over others, the NEO coin has defiantly come a long way, i mean last year it was able to go from 0.5 $ to nearly 160$ in February, but that does not mean that it will beat ethereum.
1204  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela moves to issues "petro" crypto on: April 25, 2018, 03:21:46 PM
http://www.bbc.com/news/world-latin-america-42217798

BBC reports Venezuela is moving to Petro coin to fix economy. Will this help? Will it hinder things? Will it bring negative light to crypto? First country to go totally crypto?

Personally, I see more inflation and Petro failing terribly.
The whole point of using cryptoucrrency is to get out of the government's control, and having an anonymous transactions between tow poeple without having to be monitored or without the interference of any third parties, personally i see this attempt to fix the economy with crypto will make it even worse, because society is still not ready for it yet, people still prefer to use physical money, and the only ones that use digital or cryptocurrency are smart enough to know that this is a total scam.
1205  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What Exchange to use? on: April 25, 2018, 09:52:23 AM
Hi guys, due too much people is starting in this world of trading. Some are coming from the forex world to the crypto world. There are 4 questions you can answer in order to help those newbies in to choose the best Exchange to trade.  Wink

Take in account there are more than 10k exchanges in the market according CoinMarketCap and continue growing up.  Cool

Personally I like Binance and Bittrex, they offer you security and low costs in transactions fees.

What Exchange do you use and why?
What Exchange would you recommend and why?
Any complain about some exchange?
Any Exchange has give you problems or difficulty with to withdraw your money?

Personally use Poloniex as a exchange platform, not only it is one of the best out there but it also has a wide variety if coins to chose from and it has a very low exchange fee, which makes makes exchanging to any currency a very easy and cheap, which is good for any new users who want to start trading, the only flaw that I see in this exchange platform is that they don't have an android app wich sucka for me because I am not able to do exchanges on the go I need to be in front of a computer, but if you have an IOs device this shouldn't be a problem for you.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cut losses and re invest? on: April 24, 2018, 07:33:52 PM
Ok so I currently have 15,000 TRX which I bought when it was at its highest.. Now the net cost is $2.5k but the current value is $900. If I sell my 15k at 900 and buy back my 15k tokens at 0.06 shouldnt I make a faster profit than waiting till the token hits 20c?
The tricky thing about these altcoins is you may never know what will happen next, they are unpredictable and risky and that is why people are so hesitant to invest in, if you are sure about your strategy, like if you know that the price of the token is going to fall than do it, but maybe as soon as you take them out the price starts going up again and then what, what will i don in your case is take those tokens split them in half sell one half and keep the other, it might not be the best option but at least it is less risky.
1207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you care about the ICO? Product or Vision? on: April 23, 2018, 07:13:11 PM
Hi everyone, I want to discuss which part of an ICO project do you care? This question is about to evaluate which is more important between Product and the Vision of a project?
Well you can't actually evaluate an ICO based on one of them, they are both a consequence to another, a good vision will produce a good product, so if the project has a revolutionary idea that adds something to the market and a good team than people will invest in it and support it and that will lead to its product having a higher value and will lead to a successful project.
1208  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What you think about support in crypto casinos? on: April 23, 2018, 06:08:18 PM
I wonder what people has to say about support in crypto related casinos? Do you have any experience, are you satisfied? What you think where support is the best, and where is the worst?
Maybe I will add pool later if there is enough comments and suggestions. Please stick to the topic with your comments, lets make nice discussion about this matter.
I have had many experiences with casino supports, sometimes asking a question or needing help with a transaction and i think the quality of the support depends on the popularity of the site, some have a large support team others might have a couple of people, some will answer you instantly others might take a while, but in the end they all answer, overall i don't think that they are in any way different from the support from regular casinos.
1209  Economy / Economics / Re: Stanford University Business Full-Time Cryptocurrency Course on: April 23, 2018, 05:50:39 PM
For those interested in studying crypto:

https://www.cryptocurrencyguide.org/stanford-universitys-graduate-school-of-business-full-time-cryptocurrency-course-scheduled-to-begin-next-month/

Quote
Stanford Graduate School of Business, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business are expanding classes in digital currency and blockchain, CNBC reported.

Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business is offering a full-time cryptocurrency course, and is scheduled to begin next month.

Because it is being done by the business school, it will probably focus on the ecoomics aspects, as opposed to teh technical coding aspects of cryptocurrency.
It is a good thing seeing cryptocurrency slowly getting implemented in many fields and going as far as teaching it in university as it is indeed a very interesting case to look at and research, but what i don't get is why it is being apart of an economic course, from what i know cryptocurrency is a highly unpredictable market and it does not move according to fixed principles like the stocks or the other currency market, so what they may be teaching today may not be valid in the future.
1210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the first bitcoin billionaire? on: April 23, 2018, 05:28:45 PM
Other notable investors investing in Bitcoin include Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss (Harvard graduates have sued Mark Zuckerberg for suggesting that Facebook is based on their ideas). The twins bought a total of $ 11 million in Bitcoins by 2013, equal to about 1% of all bitcoins in circulation at the time. When the value of Bitcoin reached over $ 11,000 in early December, the twins were declared the first Bitcoin billionaire. They have suggested the SEC create a bitcoin investment fund, however, the SEC rejected the idea.
Another investor and entrepreneur, Erik Finman, invested $ 1,000 in Bitcoin at the age of 14 and has now become a millionaire.
For all we know these are the people who actually admitted and came to the public and made their announcement to have a lot of bitcoin, so they are millionaires, but there could be others who may have millions of btc, a hidden treasure, who don't want the public to know they even exist, and to be honest they have good reasons for that and that is to avoid hacks attention and most of all, taxation for their revenue from the governments.
1211  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: bad/good news relationship to the price? on: April 19, 2018, 09:52:27 PM
do you think that there is a correlation between the price of bitcoin and the news trends ?? I check the google news for "btc" everyday and I noticed that in the previous months when bitcoin's prices were dropping, the news were all grim and calling btc to be dead. however now that we are seeing a "potential" reversal (this could very well be a trap) I am noticing that the news are positive mostly.

so what I think is that the news are reflecting the "emotional" state of the market and what investors are feeling about bitcoin, and now for the most part it's positive.
Of course, everything that happens any movements in the price is related to some news or event that is concerning the market, i mean people could say all they want about how cryptocurrency can be unpredictable, but any good or bad news does affect how investors and users look at it, for example if a government bans bitcoin a large number of users from that country will stop using and this will affect the price.
1212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people need to use Bitcoin for Money laundering? on: April 19, 2018, 09:25:10 PM
The answer is pretty simple, because bitcoin anonymous, you don't need any id or any type of identification or personal information to get your hands on bitcoin, so it makes it easier for anyone trying to hide their tracks and escape from paying taxes to the government, or launder illegal money, that is why bitcoin is being used by all the hackers and drug dealer on the black market, and that is what government have against accepting.
1213  Economy / Economics / Re: What is going to happen when we reach the 21 Million BTC supply limit? on: April 19, 2018, 08:58:37 PM
Well i don't think much will happens when we reach the 21 million supply mined, other than the price will start going up like crazy, everything will pretty much still stay the same, bitcoin does not go anywhere it stays in the network it just circulates it, probably the fact that it will reach that limit people will start holding it even more which will drive its price to some high prices for sure.
1214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dominance Going Down Good or Bad on: April 19, 2018, 06:32:25 PM
BTC dominance has been slowly droping again in your opinion is it a good or bad thing for crypto in general
id personally rather it drop rock bottom so altcoin prices do not need to rely on bitcoin prices
Bitcoin hitting rock bottom is not good for the cryptocurrency in general, we saw how the last drop affected the whole market and how everything went red and we don't want that to happen again, in the past people saw bitcoin as the only cryptocurrrency there is and altcoins as an attempt to copy it, but that idea was changed especially last year when the bitcoin network went to shit with its high fees and slow transactions, and the release of ICOs which have become real popular, and so today we see people investing in altcoins market more than before.
1215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Pinnacle’s European Players can Now Bet with Bitcoin on: April 19, 2018, 04:40:45 PM
Well its not something new that online casinos and sportsbooks add Bitcoin as an payment options.
However.. Pinnacle is a BIG player and as far as a know its the ONLY Casino/Sportsbook with an MGA License ( Malta Gaming Authority) that accept bitcoin payments.
If someone here knows about any other MGA licensed operators have bitcoin as an payment options, please tell me.

https://www.pinnacle.com/en/payment-options

I just saw this when i was surfing into pinnacle, I have done some research after and i see they added this bitcoin payment options in early March 2018, so sorry mods, if i missed that someone here already wrote about it, but I didn't find any thread about it.

This is IMO one of the biggest surprise in the "crypto gaming" world this year. Now we can just hope that more BIG and serious operators like Pinnacle start to add bitcoins

What do you guys thinks? do you share my enthusiasm  Smiley ?

Online casinos which use bitcoin are probably the biggest place where crypto enthusiasts and users spend their coins on, a large amount of bitcoin is always being used for gambling, and that goes to the fact that you don't need any identification to use it, so if big online gambling sites like Pinnacle start accepting bitcoin, it will lead to its users getting curious about it and maybe even investing it, which will lead to its popularity increasing, and the more users there are the more other similar sites will do the same.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling is portrayed negatively almost everywhere? on: April 19, 2018, 02:36:35 PM
The reason why gambling is consider a bad thing is because of how it has been represented by bad cases and how it is tied to bad people, sure in some religions it is stated that gambling is bad and unethical, but with some people where gambling can lead to addiction and how it is a waste of money, and how it could tear lives apart, and also the fact that they think there is no work put in it it is all about luck, but one does not make assumption about things he never tired it, and that is what society is all about, we are all doing and believing what we have been told.
1217  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade or HODL? on: April 19, 2018, 12:27:48 AM
Hi guys, I have a couple of alts in my wallet right now and I want to gain profit.

I want to earn a profit while waiting for a better market value. Should I enter trading(where I don't have an idea on how to and where to start) or should I stick on HODLing my coins?

Looking at the market movement, is it a good time to start trading?

Is it risky or not an ideal move if I start to study trading using some of my holdings/alts?

I am eager to learn how to do trading(short-term or day-trading).

Any thoughts? TIA
Like why not cash out a small amount, when it comes to cryptocurrency we will always be blinded by our greed and our love for money, there will always be i can hold a bit more, the price will keep on going up, until at the point where its starts declining and you have missed your chance to get some profit, so what i recommend is that each month you cash out a small amount of your profit, that why you still get the best of both worlds.
1218  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When will the bull market start? on: April 19, 2018, 12:00:49 AM
I have been observing the market for sometime now and I also notice that many YouTube/Telegram channels I subscribed to are giving the the buy signal for the cryptomarket. I have some spare dollars I wanna put into the market especially in altcoins. So just wanna know what your thoughts are.  Is is time for traders to be bullish and can you predict a date you think it's gonna begin?
All we can do is just tell you to go in dude, no one is going to tell you not to, no one really knows if the prices are going to go down or how will they move, we just invest our spare money and hope for the best, holding and hoping to get profit at some point, it really does not matter at what price you invest as long as you are willing to be patient and hold until you achieve your profit goal.
1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What gives Bitcoin its value? on: April 18, 2018, 10:51:45 PM
Bitcoin can certainly be considered as a currency but now with heavy investments, it is also a serious asset that people own. It is an equivalent to property or gold for that matter. With more trading and investment in this digital currency, the value is only soaring higher and higher. No doubt, we may as well see a new high in its price this year.

But what gives this invisible Bitcoin its value? It is most sought after asset now with immense money being invested. Is it the nature of it being a currency or the nature of it being an investment? The most interesting thing is that most people are gradually shifting towards the use of this decentralized currency. It is true that the comparison with fiat currency draws its estimated value. But the large investments suggest that it is going to grow only bigger and bigger in size and stature.

As BTC is becoming more and more used, the markets take to a compulsion of accepting BTC as a form of currency in exchange of the good and services. It is indeed interesting to note how Bitcoin in spite of all criticism is only proving to be that of a great success.
Bitcoin at its time of creation was just an idea, like nay other ICO project that we see today, and as this idea grew and people started supporting it and investing resources into it, i grew even bigger and its initial price started going up, and due to how it has a limited supply that price started going even more, so the supply and demand is what actually gives it its value.
1220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are There Any Regulations for Bitcoin Casinos? on: April 18, 2018, 10:13:42 PM
Some governments are strict about online gambling sties, whether it is bitcoin based or not, some others don't mind or bother with them because they don't have the resources to monitor these kind of things, and that is why nowadays we see a lot of gambling sites being hosted in foreign countries where they won't be harassed by governments or taxes, the only regulation that differences real money gambling sites from the bitcoin ones, is they require you a minimum deposit and and id, and since bitcoin is anonymous any person even a 10 year old kid could be gambling.
