The only reason most of these other alts are more popular is because people just want to mine as early as possible and dump and cash out. It is all about who gets in earliest. These people do no care about the coin or its future, it is just a pump and dump. In Gridcoin everyone has a chance to mine and there are no large pools that raise the difficulty for everyone and just kill everything. If you wan to raise awareness about Gridcoin post on other forums. that is the best way to spread awareness and this coin and let people see it for what it really is. why isn't GRC more popular that Earthcoin>?

The teams @ the top are gonna be hard to beat. We gonna need a lot more members. Strange, this link shows my Credits/day to be 5,625 and my average credits to be 3,925 but my gridcoin client only reports ~2,500 average credits... The BOINC stats will show your "lifetime" credits, including any time you were in BOINC but before you joined Gridcoin, plus any time spent on machines that earn BOINC credit but not Gridcoin credit (BOINC running but not Gridcoin, for instance). That kind of thing may account for the differences you're getting. Our little team is definitely having an effect: "Accumulated more credit than % of all BOINC combined Teams 90.95140%" Also "Highest World position ever 9,066 at 2014-01-11" (out of about 100,000 teams) but the recent credit trend stat is even better "BOINC World position based on RAC 563 out of 99,696". The competition gets harder closer to the top, but we're off to a great start. |

I did not even think about that. If the Gpu rigs actually go to work while the sleep is on then that will give some major power to science crunching. Should be interesting to see how it works out. Can't wait to see scrypt-sleep in action where half the time our GPU's will be BOINCing - THEN we'll see those stats take off  |

On 850kh/s you should be getting quite a few blocks per day. My buddy is getting 850 KH/s with it on feathercoin, which is adding up nicely for him.
How much does the GPU rate affect your gridcoin income? I basically just get the trickle from the client. I think I've only found two real blocks in all this time. There was that day where I found 7000 coins but that was a fork, darnit.

So far we are in place #4,474 in points generated. When the team was started it was in 16000th place, so we have moved up quite a bit. My 290X is arriving in an hour or so, so I'll be happy to take advantage of the difficulty while it's low |

For the last week difficulty has stayed between 2-3. Just noticed that the difficulty has crept up to 3.0. Seems like it might be getting more visibility out there |
