Information for KNCMining?

Most of it can be found in here so far https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=214285.0
1242  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: CoinCanary.org - Mining Database - All Known Vendors and Status on: June 07, 2013, 09:15:30 PM
So the official story is (and you can see this) that for all the unknown activity in a country they put in a spike directly in the middle.  I just don't know who to trust anymore though, with all the money floating around.  This seems reasonable.. but if a person masked their IP how can you tell what country they're from?  couldn't they just reroute to another country?
Anyway I really don't know the complete story here.  I find it quite likely that the spike really is from what they say.  Then again none of Inaba's comments have made me more comfortable about things.
Everyone says to cool down they are finally starting to ship.  Oh sure, after their long testing phase?  Gonna wait to ship till they're worthless?  People bought these products because they were told they could make a certain profit from them.  They have been pushed back constantly, to the point that people who actually believe a word coming out of their mouth gives me pause.
Maybe the real question is how much of the world spikes are caused by them.

This would make sense, may very well just be a coincidence with BFL speculation that they might just be mining with their own hardware. It has been proven they have been testing on the live net and not test net as they should be...

Anyway, I made up a logo for what will be the full out CoinCanary mining website, this is a rough one  Smiley

Another scam
 Angry
Seriously man, did you read any part of this thread? Can you explain why do you think this is a scam 67152398 ?

It's a good thing to be careful, but c'mon we have John (not the same person as Josh Wink ) .

BFL itself is the scam, get real.

Zero products shipped from the revised BitForce line (Jalepenos are older and no longer offered, Little SC was supposed to replace it, none have shipped at all in over one year)

Now offering chips that are just as much vaporware as their ghost machines

And they are apparently wasting time on their own charity thing?

BFL and all of their cronies earned a scammer tag here, that should be enough to kill this thread right here and now.

And if you thought crypto-currency was a 'fad' why is Apple filing patents for iMoney.

Whatever iMoney is, a cryptocurrency it is not

Hopefully Apple will not muscle its way into the cryptocurrency arena.  Who can fight Apple Sad

They arn't. This isn't a true cryptocurrency, just a fancier version of AmazonCoin which is also not a crypto-currency either. They are just proprietary payment systems riding on the veneer of Bitcoin, which is both bogus and sad.

The fact that Apple is both creating their own "currency" and denying Bitcoin apps is pretty telling that they just can't stand any format they don't have an iron grip on just like Sony.

Great quote from this article:

Quote
“Devaluing a currency is like peeing in bed,” a Federal Reserve official told The Journal. “It feels good at first, but pretty soon it becomes a real mess.”

Too bad people are oblivious to what's about to happen.

Those of us that have already accepted this fate will soon be the next leaders guiding everyone out of this complete and total shit-show economy, because we already planned on it. At least I am.

It is a mathematical certainty that fiat will fail, and soon. The next ripple in the world marketplace will start a contagion that will bring it all down. Bets are out on whether it will be the EU, China, Japan, or basically every country as they are all a large economic bubble. The debt will eventually be effectively infinity as there is literally not enough money on Earth to pay back the debt. Just the downfall of a single major bank holding a stack of risky derivatives will sound the death knell of the global economy. Unless Bernake plans to print up about $1.5 Quadrillion to pay off the debt (which wouldn't work), there is nothing anyone can do.

Except move on to a new and better system. We have one now.

While I agree all fiat will fail, the reason is certainly not a mathematical one. Keep hearing this and it's just wrong. Math has an unlimited amount of zeroes for us. The exponential function might be hard to grasp for man, but math has no problem with it.

The fractional reserve system only goes deeper and deeper into debt as the debt plus interest on that debt is always larger than the return. Soon we will not be able to even afford the interest on the FEDs loans to the US Government because the Government is several Trillion dollars in debt. Eventually the debt will skyrocket into what might as well be infinity and no amount of money will be able to satisfy the debt. All fiat currency will break down and become completely worthless at that point as inflation will completely devalue it. Exponential debt is built right into the financial model. Those zeros are being added to the debt that is growing out of control at this point, making every dollar in your pocket more worthless by the minute.

The reason is absolutely a mathematical one. The system was unsustainable from the start.

1251  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Quiet 7950s on: June 07, 2013, 08:25:28 AM
There are lots of aftermarket coolers out there, I've always liked Arctic Cooling offerings myself. The stock coolers are typically very noisy at full speed as they have to make up for small fan size with high RPM.

However many of them are bigger than stock ones, so you will probably need to spread out your GPUs a bit to accommodate them.

We are pirates riding outside the "civilized" system.

The DHS can't do anything more about Bitcoin than they could about BitTorrent.

+10000 Smiley Nice post OP

The revolution has certainly begun, the Great Financial Reckoning is coming down the track like a freight train on meth, and we will soon be witness to the biggest paradigm shift our world has ever seen. The world as we know it today is about to change drastically, be ready   Shocked

Anyone thinking they missed the boat with Bitcoin shouldn't worry, it is only just getting started.

I think we're on the verge of a major push upward. Strap in kids, now it gets interesting (not that it wasn't before but you get what I mean  Cool)

Though I fail to see how a price freeze fixes inflation? All that does is keep prices the same on products as the overall value of their currency continues to decline as the Peso dies. Keep kicking that can down the road...

An actual CG render that clearly came from real CAD software? I demand a crappy looking Photoshop like everyone else has  Wink

Looks great TerraHash keep it up

Yeah it is nice to see, this is definitely a first of sorts LOL

I am almost ready to put my full weight and self approval on this project, just a few outstanding questions I wish could be answered.  Sad

Namely - Avalon order date and confirmation, facility confirmation from an outside source - if I could check these off the list, I would pre-order in a second.

I optimistically hope still, out of KNC, TH, Bitfury and even BFL, TH will be the winner.

I give it 50/50 at this point who delivers first between TH and KNC. I think both are likely legit.

Go read the entire KnCMiner thread and re-evaluate...they are scammy and untruthful, as PG has been pointing out with some fury. There are holes all over, and all they have show is an FPGA board that they have since abandoned as they came to the table entirely late with it as ASICs come online.

Don't give any of these companies your money until they actually show they have something real. Otherwise you deserve what you get for your ignorance.

I was more or less comparing the pre-order montra to the other companies that took pre-orders.  At this state in the game, not many would pay for something that hasnt been produced.

I disagree, so many scams are only appearing because there are enough gullible fools out there that send them money without thinking to support it. Hopefully this is changing, I have my own effort going to help this problem.

There is nothing wrong with pre-orders in a legitimate community startup as long as it is funding mass production after the product has been shown and demonstrated, ideally by unaffiliated 3rd parties. Anything other than this is a fraudulent undertaking.

TerraHash seems to be on the level with this, and is a reasonable explanation that Avalon chips still inbound, Avalon itself can acknowledge this as they have actual products they sell. Letting Avalon fill the void for chips instead of designing their own is a smart thing to do and cuts way down on development time and cost. Seeing a real CAD/CAM design is encouraging.
1258  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: a 51% attack costs $20,000,000 and is devastating on: June 06, 2013, 06:41:19 PM
I would say the cost and scale required at this point to kill Bitcoin with a 51% would be quite an effort and is extremely unlikely.

Even if they did, well, we start a new blockchain, call it something else, and continue on. 51% may be a very unlikely but possible against a single coin, but no 51% attack will kill the idea. If it did happen, Bitcoin 2 would be built more robust to deny these attacks, or some other coin.

Overall, nothing to worry about I think. Government institutions are too busy trying to keep fiat currency alive anyway to worry about the pithy $1 Billion market of Bitcoin.
1259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bilderberg 2013: Where The Cutting Edge of Internet Technology, Bitcoin... on: June 06, 2013, 06:29:45 PM
Hey everyone,

So i penned this article pondering the question: Is Peter Thiel talking about Bitcoin at this years' Bilderberg conference? It would make sense, since he is a Bitcoin investor himself and he also invested in a p2p exchange.

The PayPal mafia wants BTC...

https://www.goldsilverbitcoin.com/bilderberg-2013-where-the-cutting-edges-of-internet-technology-bitcoin-the-old-guard-meet/

Do the rich billionaires at Bilderberg gather ’round for golf and appetizers or do they sit in conference rooms plotting the future? That seems to be the crux of the Bilderberg debate.

But, what most people do not see Bilderberg as is the place where cutting edge technology and the old guard meets. This year, it seems, that is so.

Not only will CEO of Google Erich Schmidt, CEO Jeff Bezos of Amazon be in attendance, but so too will be Peter Thiel: A San Francisco gay, conservative christian billionaire whose investments put him at the forefront of Internet and technology in general.

In attendance at Bilderberg once again this year, Peter Thiel represents a divisive figure.  Just a number of weeks ago, Thiel’s Founder’s Fund led a capital raise of $2 million into BitPay,

So what. Bilderberg is dedicated to maintaining their global control of fiat money and corporate power. Do you think they talk about their golf game?

Bitcoin is the antithesis of this notion. All of these people for the most part made their fortunes on the back of the FEDs rampant money printing which most of them were privy to collecting before the common man did. Most of them did not earn it, they were just close to the money stream and took their piece. They are all facists and thieves.

Though they will be holding Billions of pieces of toilet paper when fiat currency dies soon. They are so adamant to force fiat to continue they won't think much of Bitcoin. Pundits all over the regular news love to backtalk Bitcoin and is obvious not only do they not understand it at all, but have no interest in finding out either. Banksters are either ignorant or scared shitless, and there is nothing they can do about the open source takeover of the money system as the old economy continues it's epic decline to complete and total ruin. Anyone smart, like Thiel, are getting into Bitcoin.

So many of them are so ingrained in the old ways they refuse to believe it will ever end. Most of them can buy and sell Bitcoin's entire market cap before breakfast, why would they see it as any threat.
