Well Djokovic looked fairly strong for someone who has  not played tennis for a number of weeks!
Easy enough win over a potentially tricky Safiulin 6-1 and 6-2.
You're right, there was almost no threat at all from Safiulin for Djokovic, and he made it to the next round fairly easily. Today Djokovic will face Musetti, the tennis player who beat him last year in this tournament, if I'm not mistaken, I don't know if this Italian tennis player will be able to beat Djokovic, and if Musetti manages to beat Djokovic then this year there will be three Italian players who have beaten him.

Daniil Medvedev was eliminated in this tournament to Khachanov and it was not surprising because clay is a surface he doesn't like.
Zverev lost the first set to Tsitsipas and in the second set his serve was broken by Tsitsipas, my prediction is that it will only take two sets for Tsitsipas to win.

Djokovic is struggling in this match. He was losing the first set but was able to turn it around and take the first set. I think after winning the first set Djokovic will easily beat Musseti in the second set but still anything can happen.
Medvedev is bad on clay and he himself told everyone that he hates playing on clay so this is such a big surprise that he was eliminated again on clay.

Yup, a different performance from Djokovic today, Musetti gave him a good match.

Medvedev is just not himself on clay, he is frustrated, he was giving out a lot.

Did anyone see Tsitsipas v Zverev today? absolutely great match, Tsitsipas was fantastic,
its veen a while that he was this good eventhough in the second set he was up 5-0 but
Zverev caught up to bring the second set to a tie break.

Live right now Humbert vs Sonego. Match enough balanced match the two players have won both one set...
Now they started the third set, it deserve a view, there are very loud supporters for both players (that is not pretty common...)
edit: first breakpoint just win by Humbert...

ONG what a noisy bunch of kids that were cheering on both players, I dont think I ever
heard such loud supporters even at the AO!

Humbert was able to beat Sonego, the French man us playing fairly consistently lately.
83  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Canada] Trudeau's balls are nowhere to be found 🤣 on: April 11, 2024, 05:14:03 PM
Definitely no balls there.

ON the other hand I am proud to hear that my country along with others from the EU are
trying to act by influencing other EU countries to reconsider the links between the EU and Israel.

Taoiseach reiterates call for review of EU-Israel ties in Brussels meeting

Our new leader Taoiseach is following on from his predecessor and not shying
away from what needs to be done, unfortunately the EU machine is slow to act.

Quote
Taoiseach Simon Harris has reiterated the call for a review of EU-Israel ties during his first
meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in Brussels.

His predecessor Leo Varadkar had sent Ms von der Leyen a joint letter with Spanish Prime
Minister Pedro Sanchez in February, calling on the Commission to review the EU-Israel
Association Agreement on the basis that Israel's war in Gaza was allegedly breaching the
accord’s human rights clause.

I don’t know what’s going on in Canada but I am concerned that the insanity we’re seeing there is headed to the United States. My friends in Canada are seemingly afraid of anything. Even having the wrong opinion can get you in trouble over there now. Not to mention the censorship… I never thought I’d see this level of government overreach in my lifetime.

Thats worrying alright.

I have read today that anti-Israel and anti-Jewish sentiment is on the rise across the world.
Their leaders in Israel are not doing themselves any favours with what they are doing in Gaza.
This article is from back in November open-hatred-jews-surges-globally-inflamed-by-gaza-war-2023-10-31
we can be sure that sentiment has been strnegthened by what is going on since then.

Thats a great amount of work done tranthidung, interesting reading what I have done so far.
There is a lot there which I wasnt aware of and I guess many more were not aware of.

IMO the two biggest changes or the changes which impacted the community the most for
better, worse or from the amount of discussion surrounding them were:

1.] The Merit System - big changes to the ranking system which still has people divided
and still generates a lot of discussion. There is generally a Love/Hate relationship with Merit.

2.] Mixer Ban - this was a massive announcement recently which stirred up a lot of discussion
on the removal of Mixer service adverts and the restriction of posting links to services etc.
87  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can we ever live in peaceful Coexistence on: April 11, 2024, 09:31:56 AM
Not a notion of this ever happening, its only a dream to think it could be possible.

IMO the biggest single cause of conflict is land. Land around the world has changed hands
and 'ownership' by force throughout human history.

Starting with hunter gatherers defending their patch which yielded an abundance of food,
they would have protected it and prevented other groups or tribes entering that area.

Fast forward through the ages of wars waged by neighbouring provinces and countries in
conflict with each other over certain territories right up to today . . .

Today there are two wars* being waged

Russia v Ukraine - again this is over land/territory
Israel v Gaza - technically this is not a war, it is one country which has for decades been
invading Palestinian land to use as its own as new settlements

On a micro level we as humans are generally an aggressive species we fight and kill each
other over various things, this will not stop.

88  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You will lose more if you DCA without knowledge on: April 11, 2024, 09:03:47 AM
I think too that the OP is a little lost in terms of DCA.

DCA stands for "Dollar Cost Average" - in order to create an average it takes time which
should also negate the "loss" factor the OP is talking about because in the long term
Bitcoin is on an upward trajectory.

.
I am a little lost.
Isn't DCA a strategy to conveniently build up your Bitcoin assets at specific times that you have set for yourself? And that it doesn't matter whether the we are in a bull or bear market when you do it ?  In my estimation it isn't about building profits like you have written but about setting a personal Bitcoin holding target and reaching it. People have DCA-ed they way into the 1 Bitcoin club.

The only scenario which I think that DCA will result the same description as OP when he keep buying on fixed time frame while the price of Bitcoin is at peak since the price is too volatile that cause too frequent up and down.

Maybe he keeps buying at 70+K every week while the price go dip after he made the purchase for the week. He will not experience the benefits of his current DCA unless the price already breakout the current ATH to new ATH.

Patience is the key on DCA which the OP probably forgot or didn’t know.

The fact that the OP is a newbie he probably doesnt get that even buying at "highs" can
result in profits - over time.

Its difficult for a lot of us to time the market and buy at the very bottom of a market
movement and a lot of us are buying at prices upwards of $65K but again HODL'ing
is the key and goes hand in hand with DCA.
89  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc purchases on: April 11, 2024, 08:38:20 AM
I have used HodlHodl before without providing my personal details, thats an option for the OP for sure.
I can also recommend https://peachbitcoin.com/. Peach is a Switzerland based exchange which offers
no KYC trading with conditions and if you are based in the EU.

There is a limit on daily trades but all you need is an email to register.

Here is their discussion thread on the forum > PeachBitcoin.com | P2P Bitcoin Exchange 🍑 #kycfree

91  Economy / Speculation / Re: Fulfill your dreams from Bitcoin, on: April 10, 2024, 08:39:45 PM
Congratulations bro. At least you can share with proof the benefits of investing in Bitcoin to your friends and those who have been of the mind that it is a wasted effort at investment. Bitcoin is profitable and trust me bruh, you don't need prayers, you need more of patience. The halving is very close at hand so instead of just getting small gains if you withdraw too early, why not exercise some restraint so you can be able to hit massive gains?

Maybe he really needed that new personal computer and so he had to sold it to have his dreams fulfilled. So I wouldn't blame him if he sold with that intention and not wait till the price goes up or if we go in a bull run after halving. So there is no right or wrong decision in his part and we can see how happy he is by giving us the image. And he also said that he is going to hold, so maybe there are still some in his wallet that he will hold or continue to fatten and accumulate as we go to this year and the next. We've heard a lot of success stories though, and I think majority of us here at one point in time bought something out of our bitcoin profits.

Totally agree, there is no right or wrong. The OP was surely in profit and decided to
reward himself with something which he wanted so congratulations.

There will always be those who state "should have". We all cant HODL forever. We all
have different needs and goals, we all buy and sell Bitcoin at different times.

The OP can be happy and enjoy the fruits of he DCA and HODL,ing and can continue
to do so into the post halving era
92  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union / League / Super / Sixes Sevens Pro14 / Cups & Tours / Olympics on: April 10, 2024, 08:53:49 AM
Thats a fairly competitive top 10 positions really ans its something I would have expected
with 5 rounds played. If indeed the Panthers dominance has waned they wont get '3 in a row'
titles. Its too early also to figure out if there will be another dominant team or is the competition
for top spot going to be hotly contested by a few teams.

I want to see the Broncos moving up TBH and it would be great to see the Tigers reach the finals
too but there are a lot of matches to be played yet.
93  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why not a new one? on: April 09, 2024, 08:39:19 PM
Bitcoin has the advantage of being the first and its almost perfect in terms of acceptance
with a global network of miners, nodes and developers, a track record of never been hacked
and totally decentralised with no one person or entity in control. Satoshi knew that "he" had
to "disappear" in order for it to fully become what it is today - thats vision right from the
start and before the Genesis Block.

So any serious Bitcoiner is not going to abandon a proven entity like Bitcoin for something
else designed by a known entity with no history or track record.

Its pretty much impossible to replicate what Satoshi created and how "he" went about
and get everyone to jump ship over to it.
94  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can I really hold onto my bitcoins in the future? on: April 09, 2024, 05:29:25 PM
............
I don't know what to do now. Now the bitcoin market has increased a lot, should I sell my bitcoins? I will use it in a small business. Should I be given more time for the job? I have to take a decision in the next two months. Experienced members of the forum give me some advice what should I do.
OP you said you decided to do business by selling bitcoins. Bitcoin halving will happen soon so expect to see Bullran in 2025. If you can hold on to your investment till 2025, you can expect to reap more profits.

Since you will need money for your family needs, it will be better to sell bitcoins for doing business. Now if you have profit in investment then you can start business by selling bitcoins. If you can make a profit from the business in the future, you can invest in Bitcoin again at some point. Now you consider which would be better.

I agree about the Bull run into 2025, this follows historical post halving Bitcoin market movements
and most likely will happen again.

I don't know what to do now. Now the bitcoin market has increased a lot, should I sell my bitcoins? I will use it in a small business.

The OP has to ask the question, am I going to make more money working to develop a new business
or make more profit by riding the post halving bull run?

If it was my decision I would keep my Bitcoin.

With a new business the OP can expect to have setup costs, I'm my mind this is a double step back,
liquidating a valuable asset in order to spend the FIAT in something which has a gray future,
personally I would be wary of setting up a business.

In my country there is a statistic that states 80% of new start up's dont make it !

Sinner and Sonego played a doubles match today and lost in 2 close sets and a
close deciding tie break, we will probably see more of them before the olympics
perhaps as they look to potentially compete there as doubles?
They have played very well in doubles since last year's Davis Cup, it is surprising that Sinner is still playing doubles in this big tournament because I thought he would be concentrating fully on singles to avoid fatigue, but it could be that he is preparing in doubles for the Olympics because this time the Olympics will also be played on a clay surface.

Novak Djokovic will play today against Roman Safiulin, a player who can sometimes give tough resistance to top players, and serve is the most powerful weapon for him to get points, but still Djokovic's odds are very low and I'm not so sure he will do well in this tournament, maybe the semifinals will be the furthest step here and if Alcaraz is fit they can meet in the semifinals.

Well Djokovic looked fairly strong for someone who has  not played tennis for a number of weeks!
Easy enough win over a potentially tricky Safiulin 6-1 and 6-2.

Now I know its easy to say this but there are only 3 players who can stop Djokovic based on his
performance today, Sinner, Zverev and maybe Medvedev, Alcaraz has pulled out as we all expected.

Today was a disappointing day for Berrettini after winning the Marrakech tournament at the weekend,
really disappointing that he has bowed out at the hands of Kecmanović, hopefully its only temporary
and that he can build again for the next tournament, I think we all want to see Mateo back at the
top of his game.

Alcaraz picking up an injury just before the Monte Carlo masters is all over the news outlets today. He hasn't withdrawn yet, if I'm not mistaken, but bad news for sure for every Carlitos fan.

Ouch thats painful, he missed last years Monte Carlo tournament from injury, lets
see how he performs tomorrow against Felix AA.

Is it a bit concerning that at his young age Alcaraz is picking up "serious" injuries
and for example Sinner doesnt seem to be?

Sinner and Sonego played a doubles match today and lost in 2 close sets and a
close deciding tie break, we will probably see more of them before the olympics
perhaps as they look to potentially compete there as doubles?
98  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Rugby] Union / League / Super / Sixes Sevens Pro14 / Cups & Tours / Olympics on: April 08, 2024, 05:30:28 PM
Thats a massive score by the Raiders! Were the Eels short of some players due to Injury?

In the European Champions Rugby all my bets are in the Green and the parlay was good
also, toulouse beat Racing 92 so set up a quarter final against Exeter. Northampton beat
Munster to set up a quarter final match against the Bulls

The Bulls are the only South African tean left in the tournament and Leinster are the
only Irish side. 3 teams each for France and England.

I'll be shouting for Leinster, Its great to see they have a home tie against rivals
La Rochelle and are favourites at 1.37!
99  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The thing that sets recent Israel's terrorist attack on US,EU,AUS citizens apart on: April 08, 2024, 06:40:41 AM

I hope that you are aware of the fact that, according to Israel's official stance, saying the above is considered antisemitism.
People who say that Jews own most of the banks and media in the US are being attacked by Jews and called antisemites.

I saw this in a banned documentary from youtube, but just talking about it makes them attack you is insane.

Kind of reminds me of the attack on the media group "Charlie Hebdo" in France where
two brothers linked to Al-Qaeda attacked their offices because of an article or cartoon
about Islam's prophet Mohammad.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charlie_Hebdo_shooting

God's chosen nation, my ass. If this is the best God or the faulty bible could really say, then I am truly disappointed.

And then there is their Godfather, Biden, and USA. The so-called monitor of all World affairs just watching on as unarmed kids, women, and men are butchered. In fact, they are not just watching on, they are funding and arming the terrorists.

Not trying to sound so mean or heartless, but maybe there is something else that led to the holocaust that we didn't get to know or were intentionally not told.
With the recent bombing of citizens of their allies, I hope the rest of the world starts waking up to the terrorism being carried out by Israel and how the United States and the European Union keep changing goal posts.

You would think with their history of persecution they would have a degree of
understanding and empathy and try live in peace with their neighbours.

And I believe because of their historical persecution that a lot of countries are reluctant
to condemn their actions.

Also because of this they feel/believe they can do whatever they want.

"God" regardless of creed always backs aggression, Humans of different Gods
always believe that their God backs them in their aggressive behaviour.

Novak Djokovic Sets Sights on Olympic Gold as Final Chance Approaches

- Novak Djokovic 🎾 wants to win gold 🥇 at the Paris Olympics, his last chance at 36 years old!
- He's determined to conquer clay courts 🏟️, as the Olympic tennis event will be at Roland-Garros.
- Djokovic's immediate goal is to shine 🌟 at the Monte Carlo Masters and return to his best form.

Code:
https://t.me/ClubhouseSB/18/136482

Its gonna be tough for him!

In contrast to this Nadal is not playing in Monte Carlo, thats a bit worrying, we
are closing on Roland Garros and the Olympics.

Interesting result today from Marrakech, Berrettini won the final today beating Carballes Baena
in 2 sets. It looks like the Italian has found some form at the start of the clay court season.

And in the final today at Estoril Hurkacz beat Martinez on two sets. My bet on Ruud to
win the title was rekd yesterday when he failed to beat Martinez over 3 sets.
