It was a mistake for me to dismiss when someone created a thread about BlackRock's ETF filing. I thought it was the mainstream news media running out of stories about crypto. It was really BlackRock starting the real ETF storyline hehehe. Did anyone also notice Forbes magazine has suddenly become supportive for bitcoin? (....)
Kinda bandwagon but I believe since they are media companies, for what is a trend, they are there because that's what is their job is, they need to get attention of the people and right now, this is kinda trending on the cryptocurrency market and here they are, praising bitcoin. Might be bandwagon but it could also be realism. They could very well have woken up to the fact that there isnt an appetite anymore for the general linking of Bitcoin to crime, scams and the "waste of energy" used in mining. The fact that the largest asset management company has filed for a Bitcoin ETF only proves this. Those negative arguments have run their course and lost, we are moving forward it seems. An ETF approval will be the confirmation.

but if he has a few BTC in his possession it is really not an important thing. Will it be news if we find out for a while that he sold BTC?
I totally agree. Ten years ago this would have been a major news and will help put Bitcoin in the mainstream media, but fast forward to today it's just another lucky person who was able to get some bitcoins and possibly still hold them. I will be willing to place a bet that if the personalities of all Bitcoin holders were public there would be a lot of eyebrow raising names on the list. This is what I was going to post or something similar. What this news shows is that the "rich and famous" definitely and generally are invested in Bitcoin to some extent. If the investment is on a private level they dont have to make it public. I definitely think if we knew just who and how many of the rich and famous own Bitcoin it would be an eye-opener of sorts. Realistically when anyone gets over the "volatility" issue and familiarises themselves with how Bitcoin works and what it offers the volatility becomes irrelevant.

My friend has recently started using hodlhodl.com and has traded around BTC0.5. P2P BITCOIN TRADING PLATFORM Non-custodial Bitcoin trading solution, we don’t hold your funds. The key is obviously to DYOR do your own research. On HodlHodl you can trade directly with other users, HodlHodl are the escrow and it would be advisable to trade with trusted users who have a positive track record. The only issue I see from what I'm told is that when a transaction is made HodlHodl rely on the seller to notify them that payment is made so they can release the funds to the buyer. I'm sure it works well and my friend has had zero issues.

... The next match against Alcaraz will be a must watch event really, Alcaraz being the favourite but really Berrettini is a bit of an unknown entity ATM.
It could be an interesting match to follow live since odds could change easily... well, Alcaraz is the favourite for this match and I think it's pretty obvious why. but Berrettini up to now has been really strong! Just a note, italian player could be in a "better shape" due less time spent on seed. Meanwhile the other Italian, Sinner, is going straight to next turn. It seems he could avoid any top ATP 30 player before reaching semifinals ! Yes Alcaraz is favourite but his odds are 1.43 which I take as an outside chance for Berrettini to win, he is 2.9. Alcaraz with those odds is not a dead cert. to win, odds so far on Sinner, Djokovich have been like 1.06 etc. On Sinner, he is quietly going about his business. Thats an interesting point too that he can have an easier run up to a semi final. I have one bet on for today, Eubanks v Tsitsipas. Eubanks has been a great performer over the last few weeks and could trouble Tsitsipas today. Stephanos has been quite good so far so I'm going for an over bet.

Zverev v Berrettini under way now with the Italian leading 2 sets to 0. A bit of a surprise isn't it? I didn't bet on this match because it looked anybody's match to me. Too risky to bet. The first set was easy for Berrettini. The second and the third set was hard fought by him though. Did not think that this match was going to end like this. Certainly did not think that Zverev is not going to get even one set. If anyone told me that the match is going to be played like this and ended like this before the match started I wouldn’t have trusted that at all. Quite surprising, I have to agree with you on that one. Berrettini's performance so far is the story of the tournament and irs great to see how he is finally progressing and building his performance. The next match against Alcaraz will be a must watch event really, Alcaraz being the favourite but really Berrettini is a bit of an unknown entity ATM. ^ Yea I've taken over bets on those two matches. On the Rublev v Bublik, I really fancy Bublik's chances on this one, I think he has turned a corner and has a different outlook.

Did I miss the silver skull & crossbones auction/thread? (The silver bar in the middle of the pic ... I like that one)! I call them silver stix / skeleton keys. They are 2 oz fine silver. Only 3 made, but they were all different in style. Sold one for 600. Gave one to a friend. I have one left. All were empty open pieces with no specific value tied to it. Was debating doing a run of 2 oz silver keys.....25-50 pieces. No auction / thread on it that I remember. I make/build a lot of custom/ collab/ alt items that not many people have seen before. CT Was wondering the same as owlcatz - it looks amazing, love the design of it and the aged look. These along with you other editions sit very well with BitcoinPenny's Spanish treasures release IMO. I think the theme is complimentary to the Caribbean Treasures releases alas the 2oz fine silver would have been outside my budget anyway. Sounds like you have plenty of design ideas CT.

Word on the street is that the Dolphins aren't going to win today due to numerous players injuries and some of their squard are in the Queensland team for State of Origin on Wednesday evening local time.
Well its not looking that way now at half time 14 - 6 to the Titans! I dont have a wager on this game today. and I didnt bet on either of the games yesterday. . . Just when I thought the Eels would be good to back for the remainder of the regular season, the Warriors hooked them good! Eels 10 - 46 Warriors and the Rabbitohs in a close game with the Bulldogs couldnt close the gap at the end.

Is this a well known Bitcoin-collectible newspaper? Not familiar with it, can you elaborate a little bit because I cannot read the date of release on the photo you posted. Thank you. Did you intend for this raffel to have only 12 instead of the usual 16 slots (HEX)?
I have seen a few for sale on ebay like this one https://www.ebay.com/itm/384449222302but no expert on these lol yes, or like this one below which I suppose can be referred to as #2 > https://scarce.city/auctions/La-Ley-Bitcoin-2There are 4 "collectible" editions: 1 - El Salvador announces its plans to make Bitcoin legal 6th June 2021 2 - The El Salvador assembly approves Bitcoin to be legal tender 9th June 2021 3 - The Day Bitcoin "went live" in El Salvador 7th September 2021 4 - Plans to make a dedicated Bitcoin City 21st November 2021 Mopar had a full set for auction not too long ago which didnt sell > https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5443667.msg61864123#msg61864123So I dont think a lot of people realise the collectability of these and how hard they are to assemble all 4 editions, I think edition #2 is the rarest the one I dont have!

UPDATE
I'm going to employ a traffic light system to visually track where we are:
🔴 = in transit to recipient 🔶 = received 💚 = despatched to next in line
EUROPE 1) doblezero - 💚 2) giammangiato - 💚 3) Remsjack - 💚 4) mx12.levins - 💚
AUSTRALIA Timelord2067 💚
AMERICA 1) Owlcatz 🔶 2) xslyy 3) Cryptogreatdane 4) ZipReg 5) Mopar 6) minerjones
Excellent owlcatz and thanks to Timelord for a quick transition! Now the book is on its final continent. owlcatz let there be no pressure to get your page coloured in a rush, a week or two is not a big issue at all. I hope you got the page you and mrs. owlcatz were hoping for !? Pagkaging is key so is the registered packaging. I would like to know what condition the book is in after its 6 trips, maybe an image of the outside only? Wishing everyone a good weekend too!!

Great Mopar!
I suggest if re-rolling it to use the tube as a guide, its a big poster and can crease easily!
Regarding the blank, initially the idea was to have a blank that anyone who purchased a copy could colour a section . . . or not. The poster paper though is coatedso not all media would go on it.
There was only 7 of you guys who won the chance to contribute to the poster, so a limited club on a very limited project fwiw

Tsitsipas vs Murray could be an interesting match. Everybody will cheer for Murray and as it is still early in the tournament, I think he can stand a chance. Tsitsipas is also not so consistent so there might some value on betting on Murray (or a handicap); need to check the odds.
The fight will take place today but I don't agree with you preferring Murray. I think Tsitsipas will have more advantages and a chance to win because he is a player who is in 5th place, plus he is much younger than Murray. On clay court Tsitsipas is my favourite and for this tournament he is still one of the favourites. The winning bet option for Tsitsipas I still think it deserves to win. I second that. They both surely deserve to win but Tsitsipas is much younger and arguably has more chances (some bookies don't think so). I hope everyone watched the Tsitsipas v Thiem thriller yesterday. That was a great 5 set match so intense wow. Anyway, some exciting matches to watch today (my bet marked in bold): Broady v RuudMurray v TsitsipasZverev v Brouwer Rublev v Karatsev Medvedev v Mannarino Etcheverry v WawrinkaCerundolo v LeheckaHave fun watching and betting guys! Does anyone fancy Murray's chances against Tsitsipas? Its just about to start in about 5 minutes, Is a mini bet on Murray a viable punt? Murray - Serious experience, serious shot making but limited mobility v's Tsitsipas - Serious talent but poor current form and not a natural grass court player... Just looked at the odds and Murray is favourite - 1.75 v 2.05 for Tsitsipas... My two bets for todays matches won today, Wawrinka beat Etcheverry but he unluckily plays Djokovic next. and Bublik beat Wolf and moves on to play Marterer next so he should come through that one. Not a surprise for Andy sees this tournament his home court advantage and said many times over he wanted to retire playing here as the final match of his tennis career. But Murray vs Tsitsipas showed him being up 2 games to 1 game for Stefanos. snip I recon if play wasny suspended last night Andy wuold have won, he was really on top of his game when he won that 3rd set and I kind of knew Tsitsipas would take that 4ts set on the resume today. Wawrinka is playing Djokovic today, does he have what it takes to get one set today? Nadal and Federer aside, Wawrinka is probably worst player for Djokovic to play for, he took him two GS titles in finals, first RG, and year later US open, so rivalry is at highest
Has it not been a while? Wawrinka is 38 years old and will stop playing tennis in the next years. It is certainly great for him to play against Djokovic again. But I do not see much of a chance. ----------- snip Just watching this legendary match up now, it feels like a classic really. I caught a snippit of an interview with Wawrinka before this match and he is very aware that he has little chance of beating Djokovic but he is focussing on his performance, he doesnt mind losing today/tomorrow but it has to be on a good level for him. Its true that he is also in his Tennis twilight years but he has done remarkably well to get back from being out for over a year and is actually competitive enough.

Just wondering if there is an appetite for running a raffle for a copy of the "Bitcoin Day" Diario el Salvador newspaper? This has been stored with zero exposure to light, which is the number 1 enemy of newsprint paper. It has been covered with 160gsm black acid free paper in a grip sealed bag. I'm thinking 12 slots at BTC0.0005 per slot which includes registered delivery. If you are interested you can claim your slot, no need to send payment until all slots are filled. After slots are filled a block will be chosen, the last digit of that block will determine the winner.

Ah ok, I didnt know the 3rd State of Origin game was being played because Queensland have already won the series, so they can make it 3 from 3!
Todays game in the NRL was another "over" winning bet, Dragons v Raiders, 26 - 36, thats big scoring with about 5 minutes to go.
