2  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Are we doing enough to save the planet? on: September 19, 2021, 04:31:17 PM
While infrastructure and technology keeps advancing, our natural resources suffer.
Which is the high price we have to pay to have all these infrastructures to beautify our cities but for resource sustainability we need to find materials which could be renewable to allow the younger generations to have something to use when the time comes.

Sure there are people who tries to save our planet by diving into the water and collecting trash, or encouraging anyone to recycle or stop using plastic. But is it enough? If it is, then why are we still experiencing climate change? Could this be the start of the destruction of our planet?
There are so many wrongs we humans keep doing that hurts our environment, if we want change it has to start with you and me! If you can plant a tree do so, if you can participate in collecting plastics, trash all this will make a difference in the long run.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The risks of using Bitcoin on: August 13, 2021, 08:34:49 PM
  • The risk of Policy
  • The risk of the law
  • The risk of Substitution
Quote
This is a systematic risk, and it is difficult for individuals to avoid it.
  • The risk of Speculation
  • The risk of  Money laundering

I honestly see all these to work in my favour and not really to be a risk against me. FYI using any cryptocurrency is one way or another going to expose you to any of these so called risks especially  the risk to speculation, I say so because cryptos are highly speculative and it's one of the ways to get a market reaction.
Talk of money laundering, fiat or cryptocurrency these risks will always be there and this is all up to character of the person and not because of being a crypto user.
5  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Signals in crypto on: August 13, 2021, 05:12:56 PM
Hello, Im preety new on forum, I posted 99% on my local forum, but now I want also post on international forum.
Good to know you are exploring other parts of the forum.

Im intrested in trading in crypto, cause mining crypto in this days is not profitable.
I think small scale miners wouldn't find it profitable but I still think that those mining on a large scale can find profit, and by the way this profit will depend on other expenses you incure like how much you paying on electricity etc

I Want to know how I can recognize right coin, expect BTC, and ETH, how I can recognize some other good coins? How I can recognize when is the right time for buyng and sellig crypto to make most of trades profitable?
Sorry if Im spell something wrong cause my English is not best.
Coins you least expect sometimes do better than the most popular coins on the market but the basic rules to finding a good coin is target those with more than one purpose than being a store of value, also find coins which have teams that interact with their community and have the know how of their project.
6  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin losing its purpose? on: August 13, 2021, 03:41:18 PM
I remember coming to use bitcoin for the first time and everyone was saying one of its purposes of bitcoin was that we could use  it as an anonymous user but with time this has changed as we have learnt that it's actually not.

About losing its purpose I don't think so, as crypto users we all have diverse reasons for using bitcoin, some use it as a form of money, some it's a form of asset that represents an investment ,list goes on, honestly this not be bundled up as one main purpose of using it.
7  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin faces strong resistance to reach $50k? on: August 13, 2021, 07:33:59 AM
Resistance is good because once bitcoin breaks this barrier this will become the safety net to keep price above this price barrier.  But one of the reasons price might not be holding at this price is because  we could have pending sells at this price and everyone is anticipating a sell around this price, the only way up is to fill all pending sells at $50000 till non are left.
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin anti-inflation? on: August 13, 2021, 07:05:42 AM
According to many analyzes, inflation is caused by the printing of money by the Central Bank. Excessive printing of money will create an imbalance in supply and demand, which will have a negative impact on the balance sheet.
What has been described here only applies to fiat and not bitcoin, just as we know volatility is one money feature that applies to bitcoin and can not be applied to fiat. In short inflation and volatility are the only two relations when it comes to supply and demand and are exclusive to each type of money.

As a person who really loves BTC, I want to ask, is Bitcoin anti-Inflation?
You can say it is anti inflationary because you don't print or create new coins at will.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You Want Tesla To Accept Doge? on: August 12, 2021, 09:53:16 PM
I don't think our opinions really don't influence what decisions a business makes , but above all dogecoin or not it's all cryptocurrencies that will be getting the recognition from Teslas business decision . After all its easy to exchange a coin like dogecoin to any other without any difficulty so let's not make this  a deal. And afaik Elon choose doge because he loves dogs, I guess that counts as a valid reason.
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason why investors often lose money on: August 12, 2021, 09:07:05 PM
The reason why investors often lose money; as a novice, I summarized the experience in trading:

1. Investment does not equal speculation
2. Not aware of new market changes
3. Do some price comparisons of several currencies that are promising in the past and this year (you can also search the project keywords in the forum to see everyone's thoughts on this project as a reference)
4. Speculators also lose money. Investors are thorough gamblers. When I didn't buy in, I kept holding. If the currency price drops sharply, we will be finished. Maybe speculators buy at the same time (the speculators who have done the market record will be aware of the red flag warning, bad things will happen, the speculators will take action to minimize the loss, and then wait for the next favorable Opportunity to act again
Honestly what I see above is all what afters we retail traders(investor's) not the whales aka institutional investors.
Institutional investors are not moved by speculations or market anticipation, these whales they write the rules because it's easy to manipulate these markets if you have the most coins ,which is based on volume.

I have noticed that nowadays, people often take up investments without having enough knowledge to do so.
And in crypto being a retail investor without the knowledge about how these works can make you trade emotional against the markets.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who to Trust, Fiat Banks or BTC? on: August 12, 2021, 08:07:58 PM
It all depends! Fiat banks have their advantages over bitcoin in certain circumstances where some kind of evidence of both parties is need, I know you might argue with signed messages but this isn't enough.

The other short fall bitcoin has is it doesn't  have features like overdraft features which you can access with your bank for financing while getting financing with bitcoin requires third parties which some require personal data which is even dangerous as we don't know what they do with this data.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying other cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin? on: August 12, 2021, 08:01:32 PM
Of course, you are not restricted to investing in bitcoin only. The only thing you will need to be on the look out for is shitcoins and scam projects were you could lose your invested money.

About the worthiness of other coins, well bitcoin is number one coin but its gains are not as flexible as how altcoins react on the  market. Afaik altcoins have better returns than bitcoin because their price is much lower and people are easily attracted to them for investment.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons to Invest in Bitcoin?? on: August 12, 2021, 06:06:25 PM
There is more than reason why anyone would want to invest in bitcoin but of one the most obvious is investment as it's digital gold which has the potential to grow in value with demand.
I should think others are investing in bitcoin because of the fear of missing out as it's heavily talked about everywhere you go especially if you hang around online forums.
Another not so obvious reason would be to try out the new technology of bitcoin.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Bank of Ghana to pilot CBDC with German securities printing firm G+D on: August 12, 2021, 05:55:40 PM
This is a step in the right direction and we need to see more of this.
And this coming as a government programme carries more weight and it would be safe to say that digital currencies could see light in the future.
But state owned digital currencies are really not what I pictured to be coming hope this isn't what will be trading soon.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will Binance be the next Ethereum? on: August 12, 2021, 03:55:33 PM
Guys what's with wanting to be something you are not? No coin is shape shifting into anything here, ethereum remains where it is so will Binance coin. I understand people want to enjoy the low fees of Binance on Ethereum but you know that eth is the busier blockchain of the two and its expected that fees will be higher. But I like Binance too just so convenient in almost everything it touches.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin/ETH replace fiat someday? on: August 12, 2021, 02:48:03 PM
I don't think so. Believe it or not but there plenty of people out there that are afraid of unregulated products and bitcoin being one many will be reluctant to make this official money unless our governments have a hand in making it legal to try to get people have a change of mind.
But both bitcoin and fiat being used at the same time is possible and this is where we at.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: August 12, 2021, 01:54:41 PM
The Premier league is bad Lads, who is winning this? Can Manchester City defend their title can Liverpool be the challengers of this season.

I think Manchester City are normally top favorites for the title again. Liverpool can also compete for the title, but they can also only finish 5th. team is way too variable. much is expected from Manchester United after last season. it is already a while ago since we saw united winning the title.
Too many transfer rumours coming from Manchester City and if this is true,, I see this to be bad for current players as they will not be in the game as they will be worrying about their future at the club. And this season might see a turn of events as most clubs have made several changes with their teams .

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Past three months bitcoin journey on: August 12, 2021, 07:01:38 AM
This is encouraging and from the look of things this looks more like a hodlers journey to 1 BTC as you are buying almost every week which doesn't regard price of bitcoin that week, if am correct continue on  this journey. I regret not embarking on the same journey when price was much cheaper than it is today by now I should be having a good amount of btc.

19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do I still have a chance to get profit? on: August 11, 2021, 08:54:42 PM
Are you still wishing your token is pumped after holding for the past 3 years? You know what if this pump didn't happen or coin didn't  get listed on a better exchange in this time of waiting I don't think anything better is coming. Honestly count yourself lucky that you are still able to exchange your coins, other projects exit without even giving you an opportunity to exchange them and people have lost loads of money in such a fashion.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Lost 17500$ during recent downswing, Now completely broke. on: August 11, 2021, 06:31:30 PM
Though I lost so many times earlier but this one is bit tough. I was bearish on bitcoin when it was around 30000$ but it went up and up and touches 40000$. I lost around 1000$ and I was ok
Bitcoin is very volatile and I feel the emotion and pain of losing money that you are feeling after investing a lot of time into it, we just have to keep trying till we get it right.

but I do not know what happens to me suddenly in the heat of the moment I decided to go all in with 100x leverage, with no technical analysis nothing, as I was sure about bitcoin reaching 50000$.
And that is it all my bankroll which I build from 350$ vanished my hard work of 6 month gone.
Now I am broke.
The moment you lost your composer and started trading with your emotions ,that's the moment you lost not when your account was gone. Don't revenge trade after losing this is very dangerous.

But I know I will build my bank roll again over the course of few months but oh man this is tough.
I hate this feeling. Guys no matter what don't be impulsive in trading.
One step at a time, you have done it once you can do it again.
