What if US Dollar Crashes?

If US Dollar crashes, i'm sure it will affect the price of bitcoin too. Because the price of bitcoin is based on US Dollar too and i think the price of bitcoin can increase because the rate of us dollar going down.

Bitcoin price might increase but it doesn't make sense now of converting bitcoin into fiat since US dollar crashes too.

Price of bitcoin is directly on USD so in every country the exchange rate will be USD to it's own currency.

I am not an economist but as a student (who has studied economics for almost 3 years), I think there are two possibilities,

# 1. People will see bitcoin as option – Since there are number of advantages of bitcoin over fiat currency, most of the people will see bitcoin as an investment or asset because there is no control of government and other factors.

# 2.  Bitcoiners will liquidate bitcoins – Current bitcoin holders can liquidate their cold storage and convert it in to fiat currency to deal with such crisis and that might affect bitcoin price which can create domino effect that will lead to price fall.

Of course it will because the price of bitcoin is always depending on the value of US Dollar and that is going to be one of the measurements on how important bitcoin is today. They have a great relationship and the performance of dollars will affect bitcoin, I know if dollar collapse bitcoin will be gone because people will do panic selling and the value will abruptly decrease and I couldn't imagine when the time will happen because our effort will just be gone with a blink of an eye.

There are a lot of reason for them not to get broke but I will just say one. Resources. They have a lot of it specially oil. They have helped other countries for that purpose. They are in to money, power and sex only. So they will just help for that purpose. It will not crash it will be stronger than any currency in the world.

The USD plummets and you'll see a scramble by a ton of countries to try and bully it out of the world reserve currency position, which might be possible with the right circumstances.

USD debt will be worth nothing, massively affecting countries with large bags of US debt, namely China. This means a ton of assets internationally are seriously affected.

This also means that the US would likely face a collapse, considering they would now suddenly have the currency of an export country in an import country. Which is a very bad mix.

20% is already a great percentage when it comes to the economy, and that 20% if crashes could also affect the other countries who are holding even less than that, so under the situation I am also seeing that bitcoin will be affected. We are talking here of a powerful nation collapse.

They wont let that happen. They still have their firearms to deal with other countries. They can even sell it to terrorists to create war and that is when they will get at the top again. They did it already at Iraq so why not to other countries. As long as there are rebels they can create war

If the dollar gets weaker, people will start to invest in something like gold or possible bitcoin or foreign stocks etc. Stocks right now in the US markets are high but we could be going into recession soon and people will look for alternatives.

The big problem would be for USA that would had to handle again the financial problems inside, till that the transactions would get lower, others countries would be affected, but euro has faced and keeps facing problems, soo the people are searching something to protect their money from those problems, bitcoin might be a solution to those people.

That would be to bad for the US but I do not see there currency crashing because I am sure that would find the solution before it is even going to happen.

If the US dollar crashes then the bitcoin would profit from this event for sure cause a lot of people would be leaving the dollar behind looking for a new currency and they'd find out about bitcoin and then use it as a main currency/investment which causes the value to go up even more.

If dollar would crash not  only bitcoin would be  badly affected  but  all of those  countries  which  do rely on  usd  currency and for sure there would  be  an economic  crisis but as of  now  usd  stands  strong  and been  used almost  globally but still theres a possibility that it would crash  but not now.

I think the US dollar is very difficult for crashes, because the US dollar is very strong. But if the US dollar crashes many currencies such as IDR experiencing progress and development. The influence of the US dollar which crashes against bitcoin might be favorable for bitcoin. Because surely the price of bitcoin will become bigger and higher.
