Hey guys,

I'm still lurking....

Looks as if there isn't enough motivated community support to bring this out of the crap hole.

I could do alot here, but won't work for free, and tech isn't free either.

I will stand along the sidelines and wait this one out either way.

Looks dead, and needs a takeover...but I can't name one dev out there that revives coins for fun.

I'm always a message away,

Well, if community amassed a 250k 8bit bounty...

That's greater than the supply...

I don't want to accuse you of extortion but "C'est le ton qui fait la musique".

Why create this sense of urgency to heavily push a community decision in your favour...
Also if you have this big bag why dont you be the good Samaritan by protecting what is yours?

your motives are shady, ill join you on the sidelines, lets wait this one out.

I wouldn't call it extortion.

This coin is the epitome of shitcoin.

He's saying that while he has a big bag, he didn't invest enough to lose sleep over.

Toshidesk is a large project, and he needs a stable incentive (btc), to develop the project due to his obligations elsewhere.

I don't blame the guy.  I'm really disappointed by the greed of the 8bit community.  5btc is not a lot to ask for all that he was willing to do.

Not everyone has to pledge .5 btc.  You guys weren't even willing to put up .01.

For this reason, I'm out.

Some people only hold less than 500 8bit, so donating 0.5 bitcoin will be risky as they would rather cut their loses now.

get.realistic.expectations

if the offer was just fork+ for 1,5 btc
maybe then there would be more willingness to donate...
the offer is for more then there is invested interest, simple really

A fork gets us nowhere.  We need an active developer that will support continued development.

Perhaps the 8Bit community would be happier donating 8bit to a dev rather than btc.

What do people think of this as an angle as we are not able to muster up enough btc for Mastertrader, and whats your thoughts Mastertrader on 8bit payment rather than btc?

I'll put 0.5btc towards new dev

That makes it 2btc pledged so far.

That's great who else can donate. if .5 btc is too much maybe you can donate a smaller amount. Maybe mastertrader777 would except some 8bit. Lets get this thing off the ground. Make that dev. that left his project regret it... or buy a few thousand coins at a cheap price donate and know you bought at the bottom.

A fork gets us nowhere.  We need an active developer that will support continued development.

It's a small step, not a giant leap. Afterwards, in time, true developer support(this is false support) can come in the form of many helping hands.

The scenario thats played out right now is this:

Follow demand
   Monopolize skills
       Create urgency
   Present total package deal
Press community to accept offer

The result, if offer is accepted, is that the community will be pacified and disempowered. All it can do afterwards is press on the dev with: "Is there any news dev?", "any news?" and "we demand progress!". The dev running this, for him secundary project, is likely to fold somewhere down the road because real market adoptation is not his concern, development is. So when the money runs out, he is out.

Time will tell, prove me wrong.
