Is there any reason why two wallets would receive different lists of active mns when calling "8bitd -cli masternode list"?

Both of the wallets are synced to the same current block. One wallet brings up about 50 MNs in the list, the other wallet only brings up 3.

Also, when I try to start one of my MNs I receive the message "Masternode started remotely", why does it say this as opposed to "Masternode started successfully"? What is the difference?

The same thing happens to me with my 20 masternodes, I have a question if it implements the increase of currencies for the MN, that will happen with the nodes that are now implemented?

I think this will go through a swap, so it will be necessary to disassemble and then rebuild the masternodes.

Same thing with my MN, I raised this issue in the slack #linuxwallet, but did not receive any answers.

Why do you need to wait 200 confs? It only takes 16 before you can run an MN with it. I think it only takes 3 or so before it should show up in your wallet? Something else may be up? Double check your address maybe?

This may be a very n00bish question, but with my MN I have received payment once so far, so my total balance on the MN collateral address is now 112.88... does the mn still work now, even though it is not exactly equal to 112 8bits? Do I need to transfer that .88 8bit to a new address apart from the mn collateral address? If so, is there a way to automate this transfer so I don't have to do it every day?

No, you don't need to move them. The MN will still work, unless you touch the 112 coins collateral (for example send some coins out of your MN wallet without choosing inputs via coin control).
Just make sure your MN is still running - check it from time to time.

This is weird indeed, one of my nodes sees 20 MNs at the moment while another one sees only one. I will take a look at it.

Just curious to know if is it profitable to run a MN for 8bit. I read thru couple of pages and seems like people are not have similar results. For some MN generates a set of coins and for some it just fails to catch up with that number. There are people stating that the wallet fails to sync as well. I also read about swapping of coins and I want to make sure I understand what this is. Will there be a hardfork for this coin?

I will wait for the clarification before moving ahead. Please advise.

Big props to you dude! Will check it soon.

So if we have two explorers then it would be bad to lose a blockchain history, wouldn't be? I have started some experiments to use current blockchain with a new code base instead of a coin swap. It's non-trivial thing since code base I started to work on is using different algos (besides its whole code base is much newer one) therefore it's 100% incompatible.

However, I am working on replacing those algos with those we currently have and results are promising. Although (at least soft) fork is something we cannot avoid (to enforce masternode payments for instance), coin swap is like showing the white flag (though I am still taking account of it) while having chain continuous is priceless in crypto.

any link that is not broken with a windows wallet?

There are many in this thread. Take this, for example: http://8bitcoin.netspecto.com/download.php

8-bit-party, could you please fix the wallet download links on the official website? The dropbox links there lead to nowhere. It is always better to get software from the official source.

Hey guys I am interested in this coin and have few questions-

1) Can we run masternode on Ubuntu 16.04? If yes, is there a step by step guide?
2) What is an average earning per day from masternode for 8bit?
3) I learnt that we need 122 8BIT coin to start a masternode. is that correct?
4) Can someone suggest some cheap and best VPS provider?

Thanks....

Hey.
1. Ubuntu 16.04 will do.  I collected a wallet with this instruction:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1028119.msg19946996;topicseen#msg19946996
2. Different, an average of about 1 or 2 coins.
3. To start you need a deposit of 112 coins.
4. I do not have the experience of the VPS for these purposes.

Thank you for your response. What I understand is that I need to install Linux version of 8bit wallet on Ubuntu VPS. Well I was more looking for a way that the wallet runs on by windows PC and the Masternode run on my Ubuntu Server. Similar to how ARC Masternode is setup.

Windows VPS is so expensive you know.....

Also people are talking about coin fork, are we forking this coin? If yes what will happen to existing MN?

Hello all,
Is there any working wallet for windows right now?
Are we going for swap?
Also is that true that the masternode needed coins will be 1024 8bits?
