Quote

Well consider that OKCash is behind ROKOS, with a ton of support.
https://rokos-flavors.space/flavors-tech.html

So OKCash has an edge with IoT, which is important for security and uptime.

It's finding use cases with merchants, and I think it works especially well for digital purchases because of the very low fee and good confirmation times. The community is attracting commerce and games, so I think positioning it as a currency foremost is the best option for now.

I always forget about ROKOS. I think that's such an awesome addition to OKCash. Whenever I see ROKOS, I always think of that quote (I think attributed to Bill Gates, not sure) about making yourself needed by others, or something along those lines.

My wallet runs fine otherwise, still staking daily, but I noticed in both Overview and Transactions, the latest transaction dates are over a month old. Anything to be concerned about?

This is fine, maybe you only have "show send and received" over the "Show transactions type" at options settings?

If only showing the record of Transactions (Sent and Received), it will show only those dates.

for it to show all transactions types, select them all from options and apply / save and restart wallet.

It wasn't the sorting thing that ?!bennscammed!? suggested (thank you by the way for the suggestion ?!bennscammed!?), but it was just a matter of selecting all the visble transaction types in Settings like you suggested. PEBKAS Smiley

Thanks OKtoshi. Appreciate the help.

What is the purpose of this coin?

Hello  Smiley you asked the same questions in the discord and i answered you already this over there:

To continue here and talk about the purpose (my thoughts):

The goal of OKCash is to make it a currency that is easy and fun to use, to be widely adopted and beeing the perfect POS Partner for Bitcoin.
I joined the OKCash Communiy long time ago and was totally blown away. These guys are hard working professionals with a real vision!
I recognized that, while other coins get lost in their fight about technology here, joining the newest trend there, etc. OKCash is getting built on amazing and strong fundamentals while always providing a 100% reliable technology.

Long story short: When talking about the purpose of coins, many coins tell you the same kind of stuff.
But this team and community will make it happen! Congratz, you found a real crypto jewel!  Wink

What is the purpose of this coin?

It's a fair question I've tried to figure out myself, and while I cannot speak for the devs or the rest of the community, here's my take from a non-dev outsider looking in. I think you have to consider that when this coin launched, more crypto seemed to be going after being a payments related alternative, unlike today where more coins and tokens seem to be launched trying to solve a myriad of other/different problems.

I guess the better question might be, do we need so many coins that have a primary function of payments, and my opinion is the more the better and let the users decide which interface, functionality, and community they wish to embrace. The cream rises, but there can be many dominant players in a marketplace. Think cellphones, or IM messaging apps, or soft drinks, etc. Those who keep innovating usually keep rising, and that's where I think the OKCash devs and collaborators greatest strengths lie. (see ROKOS for an example) Do I wish sometimes there were more tools or apps being rolled out to utilize OKCash more/better? Absolutely. But I also understand that OKCash probably doesn't have these huge coffers to pay an army of full time developers (at least, I don't think lol), and that this seems to be a labor of love for everyone involved, and that says something...at least, it does to me. I asked in this forum bc the discord is pretty much useless. Is it a crime to be informed about a coin? The first thing that comes out of someone's mouth when an investor buys a scam coin is that they should've done better research. I'm not trying to be that investor.

I like the coin's numbers, but when I tell a friend I found a new coin to invest in I'd like to be able to as least state the purpose or what makes the coin unique besides hard working devs. Lol.

Awesome explanation. To be honest, I don't think many people knew the answer to my question. That's sad though and that's why so many people are loosing money investing in scam coins. Adequate research is not being done.

I spoke with people about OKCash and it seems attractive. From an investment point of view, i am glad that this coin hasnt been pumped, but grew steadily/slowly so far. Yet, the coin itself seems to be improving and advancing. The crew behind is (what i can read) close to the community and i give them a BIG PLUS for that! Will invest a few bits for the begining and check after summer holidays lol. cheers/

What do you mean with "[...] th discord is pretty much useless."? It's full of people with a lot of information. Ask a question and it will be answered. Hang around and you will know more about the coin and the community around it. Discord is the base of our community and exposure of OKCash. We're not the reddit kind of coin nor one of the hype coins.
