..... while I look into basic first iteration of the servicenode concept. I do have a few ideas... The white paper is basically done. Just reading over to make corrections now (see sig if you want to comment) Servicenode testing with Bitcoin incentives program as first service. Feature requests: * Servicenode health check - I think this is already in the code and part of the plan, but a servicenode that is working as it should be. * Payment mechanism to servicenodes running full bitcoin node * Basic scripts that pull data out of full bitcoin nodes. Nothing that seeks to reveal the IP details of transactions being relayed by the bitcoin nodes: as far away from the elliptic.co model of tracking users as possible. * Ability to skew payments to Bitcoin nodes being operated in developing countries. While we don't yet have a definition of developing countries, ability to skew payments to certain IP locations would be interesting. This is to encourage decentralization of VPS options, plus encourage people to get nodes closer to where there will be far more SPV wallets with few if any Bitcoin node peers close by. * possibility of having 10,000 bitcoin nodes over the long term

If you are going to leave your BTC on an exchange please send it to this address instead 1GH3ub3UUHbU5qDJW5u3E9jZ96ZEmzaXtG, I will at least use the money better than someone who steals it from the exchange. Thanks

I will take my time today and read it. 5k SPR bounty for SPR explorer

5k SPR bounty for SPR explorer
Already got one person interested.
does minimal .. REALLY ... minimal block explorer count ? :-p http://chain.miningcores.comI'll leave that to Georgem and you to decide, but it was meant to be an explorer for the community, possibly for the spreadcoin website. I thought Georgem was sort of claiming the bounty. I'm confused now who owns miningcores.com?

I thought Georgem was sort of claiming the bounty.
I do, but I also want to keep CHAOSiTEC motivated. I am creating a blockexplorer for spreadcoin.info. I will make it as easy as possible, so the inputfield will be in the top right corner, and let you input whatever SPR related string you have: Maybe we can do a contest? Whoever has first finished a NOT minimal blockexplorer can claim the bounty?

Prolly not, I implemented something similar in Python: https://minkiz.co/acmeFwiw, I maintain an RDF graph of the blockchain, tx, addresses and all. Is handy for ad hoc SPARQL querying. If I ever get the resources, I'll publish it as Linked Open Data. Cheers Graham

FYI The security certificate must be self-signed? It comes up as unsafe, keep away, etc, with Chrome.

Absolutely self-signed. Have had an X.509 cert since forever. Always been a PITA, one cert per IP address, glad to use SNI with GnuTLS. If Chrome's nannying gets too much for you, d/l the CA here: https://bel-epa.com/X509/, fingerprint 33 F7 CD 33 D5 31 31 72 2B AF FE 4C 86 64 28 38 E0 B2 01 41 Yes, bel-epa is my domain too, archive.org's earliest entry: http://web.archive.org/web/19970416033248/http://www.bel-epa.com/Ohhh, memory lane ... http://web.archive.org/web/19961029160449/http://www.avonibp.co.uk/So, next year, I'll have been publishing on the web for 20 years continuously. Doesn't time fly. (The earliest footprint of mine that I can find is from usenet in '88) Cheers Graham

(The earliest footprint of mine that I can find is from usenet in '88) Cheers Graham Bet he never did manage that and it's an unsolved puzzle to him to this day... What's the wanting another explorer thing about? There's a perfectly good one built into the wallet.

Actually, I was hoping we could get a decent one as back-up, but now Georgem has confirmed it can become part of the official website, it would be useful to have it there and have people going to the website and then seeing official info and promotional info when business services start being pushed out.

My old vps with full spread node 54.77.37.133:41678 is permanently terminated. Do you want me to set up full spread node on my new vps?

We'll have to release an update early next week.
Then I can get back to thinking about packaging for franchising. The SPR approach to no fixed collateral might make that a little easier than I first thought.
