They hide their fees and many people probably don't even notice that they are being robbed.

Can you prove it? This is weird..
You can prove it for yourself - just look for their fees anywhere in their sites and terms. Then ask them by e-mail how much are their fees. And hope that they answer you Smiley

And post the reply here Smiley

Just a quick update.

1) We now have over 400 ad spaces published and displaying Mellow Ads network adverts! Views and clicks are increasing daily. Thanks for all the support Smiley

2) We currently have over 30 active network campaigns running, contributing to a total network pool of around 0.1 BTC per day (which we share out 90% to you publishers of course!).
What this means is that advertising on Mellow Ads is currently fantastic value for money!
You can currently advertise across the network for around 0.0009 BTC ($0.23) per 1000 unique impressions, or 0.0001 BTC ($0.03) per unique click. I doubt you would be able to beat that anywhere else!

3) CPM/CPC development is coming along well. Sorry, its taking so long but there are quite a few back end changes required and we want to make sure we get this right! Hopefully we should have this released in the middle of next week.

4) The bad news is that we have had to ban a small number of publishers over the last few days for use of bots (to generate fake views/clicks) and other fraud attempts. We knew this was inevitable, and we have some solid detection systems in place behind the scenes. Also we have decided that we need an upper limit on the number of Mellow Ads ad spaces that can be placed on a page. For example, one publisher had 55 ad spaces on 1 page (yes really, here's a screenshot)! We are still deciding what the upper limit should be, maybe 5 or 10 - what do you guys think? (We want to maintain a fair balance of quality between advertisers and publishers)
The good news however is that the accounts we have banned won't be paid and so the network pool gets shared correctly with the honest publishers. Advertisers can rest assured that their fees are being spent on quality ad spaces, and that we are constantly monitoring and checking for any more fraud.

Thanks to everyone for the support and great feedback so far!

Baztardo, Mellow Ads

Wow that is crazy for someone to put all those ads on one page, truly crazy! I would say 5 would be the max limit and even that is being generous Wink

I also think that 5 should be the maximum adds visible on a 1024x768 resolution monitor.

If somebody is running a blog, and one page contains so many articles a user can scroll down 10 pages (giving it a virtual website-resolution of 1024x7680), he can have 50 adds, as long as no more than 5 are visible at one time...

So, i would make it a "soft" limit... For pages that are so "small" that they fit in one browser window, without scrolling, 5 would be the max, for "scrollable" pages, more than 5 COULD be fine... Just my two satoshi's  Wink

5 is too small, thats 2 on the sides and one center or something.. that's nothing. 10 seems good, but maybe you can make some kind of a poll so that we can vote?

Maximum of 2 to maximize more benefit to the advertisers because I am one of the advertiser, I want my link to be view and click by more people   Grin. Even if you have a good system, there is always someone that can cheat your system. Thats why make it maximum two so it can lower chances for people to make a fake click.

No 10 is just too much, 3-5 max should be the limit

My test campaign has been finished.

My test campaign
10 days
0.001 per day - 0.01 total

Advantages & Disadvantages
- Great user interface that everyone can use and understand.
- Pays a lot to publishers.
- Very cheap prices for great value!
- Gives you a lot more than the estimated.
- Great support.

- No disadvantages!

I would have had to pay about 0.04 for such great results, and i wouldn't get what i paid for that fast.
I definitely recommend using Mellow Ads for anyone that is a newbie at these staff, or wants to get the most value out of his money and everyone that wants his site/company get heard.

I have now deposited more and started a new campaign!
Good luck with your business, baztardo! But then again, you don't really need it. It's already awesome. :p

<5 would be a waste of the great platform. If 10 is too big, maybe 7 - two on each side, one top, one bottom, one center is a good combination.

But we can't talk for everyone that's why either they should just state the rule, or make a poll and see more opinions.

The issue here is every site is different. I've seen some sites that were just fine with 2-3. Others had 10+ and they still weren't noticeable. Using a rule for everyone just doesn't work.

I have only 6 ads and it's 3x 200x200 on each side so it looks like 2 ads.. just check it http://winbits.us Smiley I think it's ok and I'm happy that this platform is here ( after Bitmedia.io has started scamming ).

Funny you bring up Bitmedia.io scamming, when you're the one that kept claiming users were getting 1000 satoshi (and even verified that claim after they put in the captcha) and were actually just sending 1...

Back to the topic - even adsense does not have a limit of 3 even per page, and we discuss a limit per site no? If I want to place different adpsaces on different pages what, I'll be limited to 1 per page?

Aaand the fight starts..

In his defense, he admitted he was scamming users before (which removed any doubt that it was an error in coding). Doesn't make it right, though.

Back to the topic - even adsense does not have a limit of 3 even per page, and we discuss a limit per site no? If I want to place different adpsaces on different pages what, I'll be limited to 1 per page?

AdSense DOES have a limit on ads per page (3). If you have more than that, it shouldn't be loading any past the first three that are pinged to the server. If it does, they are known to ban accounts when it's time to get paid.
