Again, we want to give a big apology for this extended downtime. We are confident now that the system is much more resilient to this sort of DOS attack, but we are continuing to implement further security measures to absolutely minimize the chances of this happening again.

• Please be assured that all accounts/passwords/balances etc are intact - there has been zero loss or exposure of sensitive data or funds.
• Any CPM and CPC campaigns should just pick up where they left off - while the system was down no views/clicks happened of course.
• Any Network campaigns that were active have obviously lost some time due to these issues. Therefore we have extended the end date/time for them all by 24 hours to compensate for this. So if for example you started a network campaign on 4th October and paid for 7 days, then it will now run until the 12th October (instead of the 11th October)
• Network/campaign/ad space statistics will obviously show lower views and impressions over the last 24 hours

Can you make it so publishers with traffic from mostly tier 1 countries make more for example then publishers with the same traffic amount but from tier 2 or 3 countries

Possibly, but we don't think so. There have been 2 DOS attacks, the biggest one yesterday. Performance should be back to the way it was before yesterday now - all looks fine at our end.

Probably not for network campaigns, we (Mellow Ads) don't want to be the one making decisions about the value of traffic for different countries. This will vary per site and per advertiser, so will be very subjective.
However, in the very near future we will be adding more stats to the network/campaign/ad space screens to show breakdown by country. This will allow advertisers to make more informed decisions about targeted CPM and CPC campaigns, i.e. if they are looking for US traffic, then they would be looking to start CPM/CPC campaigns on on ad spaces with more US traffic.

Following that, soon we will allow publishers the option of setting different CPM/CPC rates for different countries - and then (hopefully) the "market" will determine the going rates per country.
