What's your opinion of gun control?

Gun control can help to lessen crime but cannot totally stop it.For me the main problem having crime is poverty.People can do crime even without guns and some authorize person with guns can do crime also.Here in my country some policeman use their guns not to protect civilian person and for their duty ,unfortunately some of them use guns for their own sh*t things.Gun is a weapon/firearm,for protection or saving someone lives,for civilian or authorized person still crime is everywhere,we must learn to protect ourselves with or without gun.

My opinion is that only the governing entities should have guns. No guns for personal safety/defense (??), no guns for hunting, no guns for fun or whatever. A gun is not the only thing that one can use to take somebody's life, but it is the one that is easiest to use. So, no, nobody other than the governing entities should possess guns.

The U.S.'s 2nd amendment recognized just this phenomenon and attempted to deal with the problem by giving society the tools to fight back if it became necessary.  An armed population makes it more tactically difficult to perform certain governing operations such as genocides and population displacements/replacements.

The downside is that in response, those who 'thirst for power' have shifted to more subtle methods than, say, old uncle Joe Stalin.  Don't forget to get your flu shot.

Guns are really a way to end one's life. They are made to kill and you are correct about that. Guns have been a part of a country's economy. They also thought that having more gun's is a way of securing one country. Gun bans is one law that you can control guns with. They can correct everybody that is not following this law. Specially in holiday seasons, they implement these kinds of law to lessen the number of people that is killed or threatened by guns.

I also think that, we must stop making guns. Not everything can be resolve by peace talks and contracts but im still sure that there is another way of communicating with each other without harming one side.

Gun control is useless as long as there are many manufacturers even if they are legal or not. Guns are made to protect people but if it fall in the wrong hands, it is used to kill the innocents. Making of guns should be stopped.

My stance on Gun control is simple and short, as long as criminals have access to guns why should we the law abiding citizens be denied the chance to protect themselves in the first place. Taking away the guns fro citizens is stupid unless they are prepared to hire a police man to protect each person.

I think we should regulate the possession of guns and other things that could harm and jeopardize other people. In my opinion, only those responsible to keep peace and order should have access to guns as studies show that if a family keeps firearms at home then there is a very high rate (about 80% or more) that the person that will be shot by that gun is part of the same family keeping it.

The reason we have guns is to keep other people and their selfish motives from regulating us.

And the biggest irony is that the prevalence of illegal guns are more in countries where the gun rules are strict. For example, in India it is extremely difficult for an individual to own a legal firearm. But at the same time, almost everyone among the criminals own an illegal gun, which can range from crude home made pistols to imported semi-automatic rifles.

IMO, people should be given the choice whether whey want to own a fire-arm or not. In places like Texas, where home invasions are very common, the possession of a fire-arm can save many lives. However, the government should make it impossible for people with a criminal record, and those with mental issues from obtaining fire-arms.

It would be beneficial if gun control will be implemented to everyone. For the government to be able to monitor all gun owner on the use of guns.  It will be also helpful on tracing whoever illegally used them.  It can also lessen crime.

Just think if a police officer goes on the beat without his guns then maybe they will get more respect from the community they serve ..

Theft will go up with no guns around but gun deaths will be way lower ..

SO your choice is lower deaths or lower crime..You can have only one..

correct. Gun control have a lot of advantages like rduces suice rates, easy access to guns lead to more violent crimes and restrictive gun control laws reduce homicide rates as well as it can less crimes in the street that can involve millinials.
