What's your opinion of gun control?

Guns should be regulated very well as they have the capability of harming others, especially when it is abused and not used as it is intended.

If you don't allow your guns to be regulated by regulators with guns, you will be harmed by these regulators, by being shot by them, unless...

... you are a stronger regulator with your guns, and shoot them when they try to take your gun freedom away.

A 250 pound muscleman can easily overpower and kill a 90 pound granny. But if Granny has a gun, she has a chance.

Different countries and different regions have different needs. In Texas where the distance between settlements is high you need something to defend. But in New York where people are close by the need of guns is not that important.

Gun control is better, to avoid the crimes and to make a crimes. Because more of us have their own gun. But not at all are registered or have a permit to carry. So i like the gun control. To avoid some incidents in their community.

Guns should be prohibited for everyone, it's too much dangerous for people. I think just using spears and swords are better.

Respect for each other is better than spears and swords. Guns breed respect more, because they are better weapons.

Either you have to get rid of all evil out of the minds of people, or you have to take their freedom away. If you don't do one of these, you will always have weapons and killing.

Nobody will be able to take all the guns away, or the ability to make guns for those who want them. Protection from guns will never be absolute, just like protection from fists, or clubs, or knives will never be absolute.

The most important piece of protection that we need is protection from those who are trying to take our freedom away. If you don't believe it, research the slavery that exists, right now, in Western Sahara. Freedom to own weapons, or to not own them, is an important part of freedom and always will be.

Consider. There is somebody who is stronger than you like the 250 pound muscleman is stronger than Granny. Do you want to have a chance? Get a gun. You might not win. But at least you have a chance with a gun.

I'm in China, there's no gun for ordinary citizens.I've never seen it since i'm a child .But I think it should be banned.Maybe there will be more horrible weapons in the future.If everyone owns it, it's a terrible thing.Most time the terrorist can't be seen through the eye.

Not allowing guns opens a big black market. People are psihologicaly more prone in my opinion to crime when they are not allowed something.
Thats why we have laws preventing unlawful use of firearms, but I think everyone should have the right to own one if they have a reasonable or "good" explenation.
This is a very sensitive question and there is just no way there is a good middle ground with this, we can only agree to disagree.

This isn't about deaths for politicians. A population without guns are basically sitting ducks to their own leaders. That's what they want. So, they can arrest anyone for hate speak or pass any law without repercussion. Look at Europe. People being arrested for saying anything not remotely politically correct. Getting rid of guns Is a slippery slope to a dictatorship.

Shot != dead.  An army friend of mine shot himself in the thigh practicing quick-draw with a black powder pistol when he was a teen.  It was more funny than anything.  Of course using guns are a tiny fraction of the ways morons can hurt/kill themselves and their moron friends:

For my opinion, gun is issued to a person for a purpose of self defense. The person holding it should be properly trained and had a discipline on himself. He should know how to control his tempere in time of serious problems. Nowadays, many individual were issued a gun. They should had proper documents so that they will arrest by police due to illegal possession of fire arms.
