We would like to hear from the community what are the most annoying\frustrating stuff you have with Bitcoin and would love to get a solution for ?
Feel free to talk about any problem, even if it seems unsolvable or too abstract (e.g. Bitcoin is not safe enough for the average user)

After reading all the replies, I feel confident summarizing that the #1 problem of Bitcoin is probably lack of adoption.
And the main reasons of lack of adoption are probably ease of use and insufficient security.
We are a team of entrepreneurs and software developers that are going to spend the next following months-year on developing a new product.
One of the most appealing markets for us is the Bitcoin market.
We will try to learn us much as possible from your replies and try to tackle the problems head on.
My biggest problem with bitcoin is wallet. I don't find one secure and easy to use. I have used Coinbase so far but since I lost my smartphone and used Authy as a 2 step verification, and they didn't give me the option to change my phone I have fear that this situation be repeated again. So my bitcoins are on the hands of the idiots of Authy. This doesn't make sense. Who are them to decide what do and what to not do in such cases? |

I have no problems with Bitcoin. The only thing that I would love to see being different, are the confirmation times. If you buy stuff online, it's not a big deal. But if you do receive coins from some one in real life, it can be frustrating having to wait 30 or more minutes for a single confirmation. |

there is no sense but waiting for a very long time in a business world means million of dollar lost. So basically this is the most annoying part of Bitcoin that the developer need to resolve as soon as possible.
Only a retarded one will do a big transaction then will just put a small fee? Got my point? If you will do such big transactions and want to make it quick then better put on some additional fees. Other people crying but when you look at their transactions, only involved less than 100k satoshis lol. Yes I was shocked that that guy has lost or think of loosing million of dollars because of confirmation. That is the height of dumbness, you cannot take a 5 second time to send a extra fees and expect to do big dealings ? better close your company lol |

i dont have a lot of problems with bitcoin, to be honest my biggest problem is that bitcoin is hard to achieve
It is better if you are going to indicated your biggest problem that is hard to achieve so that we can know it and we can give suggestions about. But it is a good thing that you don't have a problem with bitcoin and also I, I'm not seeing any problem into it. Even the delayed transactions is not a problem with me. I think the level of patience everyone is different. possible confirmation time not so long if you're a patient, but if people are not patient and then he needs urgent transactions, I'm sure he would be very angry at a speed of bitcoin transactions Lol Then better use altcoins like dogecoins whose confirmations occur within seconds of transaction done. But I still think if you have not even 5 mins to patience then its useless to even use any currency. |

The most frustrating stuff that bitcoin has is that when you are scammed by the other person or company. It is impossible for you to bring back your money because of the lack of incentives that we have. One great example is the Hash ocean. They scammed about 700+ thousand individuals and sadly, they cannot be traced or put into jail. Its because we dont have a legal protection against these people who dont give back the right services and payments that we should have. If a certain law will be established with regards to this problem. I think the bitcoin community will grow rapidly.
Yeah right that is one the problem about bitcoin if you really want to protect your self from dealing someone choose trusted escrow.. And don't expect for cloud mining service that you can earn there they are just fake scammers they are just the same as any investment sites.. Cloud mining was a nice concept which is brutally destroyed by ponzi owners, as they got a new name to call their ponzi scam sites. The best thing, we must have to do as of now is to stay away from any site that is recently opened and is showing too much of promises. |

I do not have encounter any problems in bitcoin since i start to earn and to used it but all i can see the problem by eacg users is the delay of confirming their transactions which is i think it is normal to have a delay in online transaction because there are more securities to ensure all transaction to be made is very secured.
I think it's a problem that everyone has, but not everyone considers it a problem. Considering the transaction time done in other money transfer outlets, the time it takes for the transaction to be confirmed in the blockchain is actually faster. Some users are just not paying the proper fees which is why they experience long, very long, confirmation times. |

Yeah there are lots of predator who preys on new comers. This predators are the scam company that make use of Bitcoin as their bait. Even not in this forum, there are lots of HYIP's and Ponzi's that lurk around the internet. If we are new and no one seems to tell us that it is a scam company then we will gladly take the bait and get scammed. This scammers even get away with it and put up another scam company. |

I don't call it problem but there is scope for improvement through my point of view.
Simplified Security is my major point, some sites enforce to go with double authentication for the transaction and wallet access, well that’s best thing as security is concerned but every time while making any payment I have to wait for confirmation mail then approving that and the captcha takes little bit time. Can we use Simplified Security (for example instead of otp, something else that I know already and that is known only by me, I mean something different from passwords). Of course we should focus on security but then can we test such new things. Facebook is working on password less logins.

I have also been there and it was very disturbing. I hope it can be resolved properly and confirm the delay would be minimized. |

I honestly agree with you about the breeze to login in without filling in passwords and 2fa, but please be aware that Bitcoin transaction is like money transaction. If you have at least 3 BTC in a site, would you not set a strong security enough to at least lessen the probability of your account being hacked? So I think this security measure isn't a problem to me. And the only known by you in an open internet is quite not known anymore once you were hijacaked . At the end of the day you still need to fill in that info in the browser  unless we impliment some kind of retinal scan / iris recognition. |

In some cases you can increase the chance of getting your transaction confirmed sooner, by adding a just above average fee. Of course it doesn't change anything as far as the time for pools to solve a block goes, but it significantly increases the chance of seeing your transaction get included in the next block. |

I have changed my mind.
My biggest problem with bitcoin is not scammers,but just confirmation time.
I was waiting today about 5 hours for 1 confirmation,i hate when something like this happens...
I wasn't sleeping because of this.

That's why delayed transactions are not a problem to me. Because it just take a couple of minutes to become confirmed. And if you have not spent enough transaction fees then that is your mistake and may be late confirmation is a punishment for you so you do not make your future transactions with low fees. More over, how long bitcoiners will consider those late confirmations as a problem when they are aware of a feasible solution for that already. |
