The worst mistake I've done is I bought when Bitcoin was at 1200$ and sold at when it was 180$. Ok, that's 2 different mistakes actually. But the point is I'm very bad at trading Bitcoin.
I stopped trading and use buy-hold strategy, since then I accumulated more coins in my stash.

1200 USD is the peak and 180 is the near bottom since the Bitcoin bubble. You buy and sold you Bitcoin at the worst time. Indeed, if this is true, you are very bad at trading Bitcoin. Holding bitcoin for long term and dont be scared by the value should be the best choice for you. I hope you will secure your stash as it sound like it is a lot.

I stored a small amount in inputs.io and its went down and the owner claimed it got hacked never got my money back at which point i QUIT bitcoin and forgot about it im coming back now for a 2nd attempt whilst the price is down.

I saw many transaction that if you put low fee and the tx get not confirmed the funds are sent back to the sender, so don't worry wait always for 1 confirmation, to avoid any mistakes.
