Some of you Bay Area people may remember another similar freeway incident involving the McCarthy Maze.  That was around the time when a lot of engineers started questioning the ability of fire to collapse the twin-tower structures.  A guy crashed a fuel truck in the middle of the night when nobody was looking and within a short period of time the overpass collapsed.  In that case the paving was asphalt which at least had the theoretical possibility of melting and moving to create a heavy spot.  The simplest explanation to me, however, was that it was a 'demonstration' to 'prove' that fires could collapse things in real life where it is impossible to achieve in the lab.  Within hours the mainstream media were reporting that it 'proves the 9/11 conspiracy theorists wrong.'

I suspect that there are, or will be, real terrorist incidents via Islamic radicals or other genunine groups.  Up until now I believe that all of the reasonably successful ones have been Western + Israeli intelligence managed a-la the Operation Gladio work.

One way or another, a choking hydrocarbon fire burning for half an hour is not something which I believe could take down a massive reinforced concrete structure unless there were extreme design deficiencies associated with thermal expansion bearing surfaces and what-not.  If the fire were reported to be of a fuel containing its own oxidizer (rocket propellant, thermite, etc) I might listen.  Compromizing steel encased in concrete with a smoky fire caused by burning plastic?  Not buying it.  Even if entrapped water shattered the concrete and exposed the steel or something like that, logic and experience tells me that it would take a lot longer than 30 minutes and it is unlikely to result in any structural failure at all, particularly if the structure were completely unloaded.

This guy found a streetview of the PVC that supposedly caught fire and collapsed the road.  Doesn't look like much to me.  Of course it is possible that it was packed more full of spools subsequent to the google car passing by.

Plus we are not mentioning the perfectly legit road fire that happened a few days earlier from combustables that were stored under a road.  This sort of makes the public think that road fires just happen all the time...nothing to see here! 

Yeah if the lab tests take 10-14 hours and in the field it took less than 1 hour I am not buying it either.  There are enough redundancies so even if each crew had a bad weekend and was hung over there would not be enough errors to add up to any situation where this could have happened as officially explained..

I also had concerns about the speed of the collapse ( I assumed it was harder than that to destroy a permanent piece of concrete  infrastructure) .  And I'm not a conspiracy theorist. You probably won't hear it on the news as a shoot down, but there are eyewitnesses that it was a shoot down:

"I was on my back porch and saw a flash. Then a jet falling. And then the BOOM! WTF?!?!?!"

Anyway, according to early reports on the MSM, the pilots ejected safely, but the big question is, how on earth did an American jet get shot down over Maryland? Was it going to attack DC??? Is there a mutiny going on?

The jet was shot down 10 miles from the white house, which that jet could travel in less than 30 seconds.

No one is talking about a possible attack yet, but it was at least a shoot down (I will take people saying they saw it happen posting about it before I'd ever believe CNN). SO, the question is: Was the jet shot down with one of the missiles that got sent to "ISIS"?

A woman Fox interviewed said there were two large booms before the plane fell and the pilot ejected. WHEN THE PILOT EJECTED, HE WAS ON FIRE. If the pilot was on fire, it can only mean the fuel tanks got ruptured and threw fuel through a totally disintigrated plane. Most intelligent missiles can identify aircraft and seek out the fuel tank. If the pilot was on fire when he ejected, it proves a fuel tank hit. It was not an engine failure or a bird strike!

When you combine this with two other eyewitnesses, one who "saw a flash" and another saying he saw a streak of light go towards the plane, and a woman on Fox News saying the pilot who ejected was on fire, we definitely have a shoot down, they can't put that away!

The pilot is obviously alive but from this picture there's no telling how badly his legs are burnt. He's not standing so he's probably hurt. Update: Reports now say that he got hurt, but he's going to be allright.

I will admit, the crack heads burning shit theory sounds suspect, but this is one of the few times terrorism, unless it was domestic terrorism, doesn't make sense. Again , no one has fried to claim credit for this. The only folks that would benefit from this financially is the private contractor that would get the contract to rebuild this. It's gonna cost the state, it's gonna cost the federal government, hell, it's gonna cost the citizens, at least in time, value, and convenience. But it doesn't add up. I would suggest that one of the goals would be to probe the information transmission amongst the 2017 flock of sheep.  In other words, monitor who is saying what where.  e.g., on youtube, bitcointalk.org, etc.  Perhaps also a little make-work so the various dis-info agents ...

Are you going to argue that the fire was so intense that within an hour or less it heated the re-bar embedded within the concrete to a plastic condition yet did not even burn the grass 20 feet below?

If I were you, I would try to argue instead that the fire was more intense on the far side and cause a failure there.  Then the bending force shattered the concrete (which can be seen raining down just prior to the explosion.)  The problem here is that the dropped span seems to have come straight down indicating simultaneous failure of the bearing surfaces on both ends of the span.  (The world is so full of amazing symmetrical failure modes these days...)

(Actually what many people would take for 'the explosion' is in fact a draft from the falling span.  The interesting part is a fraction of a second before that.  The direction of draft also gives a good indication of the orientation of the span as it fell.  To bad the shot was not a little more wide because I suspect that the right edge actually started falling first.)

Another thing you might try is that explosives positioned to fracture the bearing lip or the first part of the span would do more damage to the grass 20' below.  I would concede that this is at least a noteworthy observation.

Or you could say "Ya, the official story is clearly bull and it looks a lot like it was blown, but who did it and for what reason isn't very clear."  aka, red-pill.

Has it occurred to you to simply look at the heat transfer coefficients for concrete Q and establish how long it would take to heat a beam up to 400, 600, 800F?
