Bitcoin will not replace dollar in this life.  Dollar protected by government of USA and have much more trust than bitcoin. Almost everyone knows about US dollar. |

Bitcoin will not replace dollar in this life. Dollar protected by government of USA and have much more trust than bitcoin. Almost everyone knows about US dollar. Exactly. Dollar can never be replaced as it has managed to gain trust from individuals, countries, and business alike worldwide. Since it's backed by the US government, it more often stable than most cryptocurrencies that we know and love today. Bitcoin lacks stability and cannot be used as a stable currency for everyday transactions. Also, it is largely unregulated which involves a greater risk for fraud and theft, than with fiat currency such as the Dollar. Of course, Bitcoin provides many benefits over the Dollar, but these currencies are two different worlds. Nevertheless, I believe that at some point in the future, the Dollar would no longer be a physical currency, but rather a digital currency issued by the US government. When this time comes, it will stay in par with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the mainstream world. Just my opinion  |

Bitcoin has not only benefits, but also disadvantages.But even Bitcoin is useful as Dollar it cant be replace not to mention that it is impossible to obtain sovereign protection of the heterogeneous, which itself has a fatal flaw, such as payment efficiency problems and even become a Ponzi scheme, the competition between the miners and monopolies also threaten the market order of Bitcoin.The investment boom of the bitcoin makes the ICO (Initial Coin Offering) in the chain area become unusually hot, and more and more companies aiming at misappropriating are involved in the bubble, In addition to the platform with money, there are a lot of MLM organizations mixed with investors to fraud.As the gold standard, which is back to the 21st century and beyond the human society is not realistic. Hoping that a class of “currency” can become a new super-sovereign world currency, at best is a heterogeneous dream.

I don't think bitcoin will replace dollar soon. Bitcoin cannot be used offline and not every place in the world has an Internet connection. Dollar can be exchanged into any fiat in the world, you just need to find a money exchanger. Maybe after a long time when you can access the internet anywhere in the world and they have finally fixed the transaction speed issues then Bitcoin has the potential to replace dollar. |

If bitcoin replace dollar many early bitcoin adopters who have lots of bitcoin in store will dictate the world economy on their terms.Bitcoin supply is limited,those who have good amount of bitcoin in possession will manipulate the market and become a self proclaimed governments.I hope bitcoin never ever replace any fiat

Nothing will replace Euro and dollar in my opinion .there is no point in thinking it ever will replace any major fiat currency.Bitcoin will not replace dollar.

That is impossible as long as bitcoin is decentralized. The Euro and the Dollar have ridiculously larger market caps and bitcoin can in no way replace them, even if for some reason the governments can't do anything about it. And they can do everything about it.

Dollar is not our currency, but I believed it might not happen.Bitcoin can be another medium of exchange but cannot totally replace dollar. Because of the fact that not all countries who uses dollar as currency are aware about bitcoin's existence or it is unacceptable in their society.

I think, there is no monetary authority that restricts or boosts the number of bitcoin available, unlike USD currencies whose levels can be controlled by central banks. There is lower uncertainty associated to this, as bitcoin can’t be used to control inflation or economic growth.

Bitcoin does not scale. There is no way that bitcoin could ever be used for payroll, purchasing food, paying for housing, transportation costs, funding corporations, manufacturing, agriculture, mining, investment savings, etc. It is technically not possible to replace the U.S. dollar.

after the g20 meeting, I think the bitcoin should still be considered again for now. well, even if it gives little positive information. but, some countries consider it very difficult to control. well, I think, the development of the times will make bitcoin in the accept and replace the dollar.
Dollar is the most popular currency in this world, and a lot of people are using dollar in this economy, so i think bitcoin does not have a chance to replace the strongest currency in this world, and i think even in the future bitcoin can not replace dollar. |

I don't trust the source of that article. I do believe that bitcoin eventually replace the dollar but not within 15 years it will take way longer than that. Imagine how many people need to adjust to the bitcoin currency. I do believe the bitcoin is the future and a really good investment

I don't think bitcoin can replace dollar soon. Althought it can, government won't let it happened. Maybe bitcoin will be an alternative way beside of dollar in 20-30 years from now when bitcoin system is secure enough to handle worldwide transaction.

Well !! If bitcoin gets on the mainstream and if it survives for next 20 years then there are possibilities that it will replace dollar soon, but for that bitcoin need to be more popular, and it should be widely used and widely accpeted.

I do not think so. A very long story about us dollar can not end so easily. Bitcoin is an incredible tool and has a very valuable quality. Money that will measure the power of every money. The change of each fiat money with bitcoin will show how strong the money is. This is a bold prediction and may know what he is saying. It can not be manipulated. Thus it will be a very welcome currency in replacing any kind of money. |
