b5: 7 votes (Hueristic, galdur, hermesesus, languagehasmeaning, boolberry, swogerino, actmyname) d6 2 vote (Morecoin Freeman, mammut)
I vote for d6
It opens up the possibility to pin his knight and that pin could not be resolved without giving us time for one additional move
Can you explain this further?

Can you explain this further? To prevent that from happening he would have to move his pawn to h3. so we would have protected e5 and still have a move to continue developing if he doesn't prevent it from happening we pin his knight with Bg4 so he can neither move his knight nor his queen unless he severely opens up the structure around the king (which he would not do ) it would probably happen the first way

I don't like this opening so far. I always go for the Grunfeld defense when I play black.
I like playing the Grünfeld Defence when I get the change against 1.c4 and 1.d4 too. What opening do you prefer against 1.e4? The Sicilian? I also like the Sicilian Defence preferable with d6 and Nf6. b5: 7 votes (Hueristic, galdur, hermesesus, languagehasmeaning, boolberry, swogerino, actmyname) d6 2 vote (Morecoin Freeman, mammut)

Yes, this is the best move in my opinion. Defending e5 as well.

Sometimes I lose and don't learn anything! If you are not sure where you went wrong try asking your opponent after the game is over.

A grandmaster would easily take advantage of that. Best way to keep it as equal as long as possible.
