If not that Dortmund conceived twice, they would have made a wonderful come back. They are able to score one goal but that is not enough to make a come back. For there to be come back means they have to score 2 more goals which is very difficult looking at the available time frame.
It seems that Dortmund fans would not be able to forgive their players if they finally dash their hopes.
How about Sabataine who could not convert a penalty. That would have been a great point of energy not to even allow Mainz to score.
It is simply pathetic and I think Dortmund is worse than Arsenal, because if it was just on the last day to determine the Champions, Arsenal would have done something different from what I'm seeing now.

It is unfortunate that Koln ability to equalize Bayern Munich will also not help Dortmund to be the champions. They have to score 2 goals within the added extra time which is really difficult. Koln has done their best, they would have done more to win Bayern if there was time. It is a pity it is happening this way.
Actually today will be very difficult for me to forget but then I pity the Dortmund fans more because they have alot to deal with.

Bayern Munich have just regained their lead again, from a brilliant goal from Jamal Musiala, he's just earned himself a very decent and deserved status as Bayern Munich best player of the season, if this goal ends up being what would hand the title to Bayern Munich.

It looks like Borussia Dortmund will have to bury their dreams and continue Bayern Munich's dominance for the 11th year in a row. They dominated the game against Mainz, but they didn't do well to score. What's more, they actually had 1 golden opportunity when they got a penalty, but Sebastien Haller failed to convert the penalty into a goal.

On the other side, Bayern Munich, who played away against Koln, was 1 goal ahead in the first half. Is it clear that Bayern Munich will get the Bundesliga title again?

Dortmund now need to score three times to still be champions this season, maybe they won't have that opportunity again soon, I know it's really hard, but they need to play the best second half of their lives if they still want to reach their goal.

They managed to score goals, but only 2 goals they were able to make. There were plenty of chances at their disposal, but Mainz played so defensively that all of those chances were wasted. In the 80th minute, Koln scored 1 goal from a penalty so that the score at that time was a draw, but Jamal Musiala scored a very crucial goal so that, if Koln could survive with a score of 1 - 1, Borussia Dortmund would not need to catch up with their score.

With the results in both games so far, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich are level on points but with different goal difference, congrats to Bayern Munich on winning their 11th straight Bundesliga title.

I was thinking whether I should be sad or laugh at the result of the last game of the Bundesliga season. I want to laugh when I see how Borussia Dortmund can't win the match and win the title that has long been held by Bayern Munich, but on the other hand I'm sad to see how Borussia Dortmund had to end the season so tragically, I really understand their feelings, their supporters, that must be really painful.
I agree with you that in this match Borussia Dortmund carried a heavy burden and they failed to let it go. Even when they were able to release it, the time they had was not enough to turn things around.

Dortmund could have won the match with a score of 3-2 if the penalty executed by Sebastien Haller went into the Mainz goal, but he failed to carry out the task.

in my opinion it seemed that the referee of this game was favoring Mainz 05 so that dortmund lost the game and bayern became champion, I know it may seem like a wrong view on my part but I watched this game and there were many situations where the referee could have intervened, there were two penalties but the referee only scored one and ignored the other and there was a situation in which the referee could have given a red card to the mainz player but the referee also ignored that, these are situations in which dortmund would do winning this game, I also find it very strange how certain players in the defense of dortmund behaved, it seemed that they had no interest in winning this game, they let the opponent do whatever they wanted


this is a very shocking result, before this game started the odd was @1.18 in favor of dortmund and i believe that the bookmakers were very convinced that dortmund would come out of this game with victory, even i was convinced that dortmund would come out of this game with victory but to my surprise when watching the game I see mainz's goal, I see the penalty in favor of dortmund being wasted, I see the referee favoring mainz, it was a very shameful game to watch, if the referee wasn't biased I believe the result of the game would have been different, unfortunately this kind of thing still happens in the big European leagues. I don't also blame the players because thet did their best to ensure they get the three points. They controlled the game and had more shots on target which could have resulted in more goals. Oliver Khan and Hasan Salihamidzic's sack is surprising but Bayern didn't have a splendid season regardless of the Bundesliga title. Maybe the club owners have identified some weaknesses in their management strategy or they want to create a good ground for their new coach.
