Bayern Munich and Vincent Kompany duo still doesn't sit right with me even after a full year. I get that they won the Bundesliga, but lets be honest with each other, this past year even an amateur level manager could have made them win, it is not really about Kompany, and they didn't do well when tested at UCL, so it's clear that they are not doing that well, and don't get me started on the CWC, they finished beneath Benfica at group stages, and lost to Bayern in a horrible way.

About his management and his first time coming to the club, he won a trophy, and that is a good sign, and this is why, even if Bayern has a good squad, I think Kompany also made a significant contribution to the club. I think is effort needs to be appreciated because good management matters a lot, so people who think that he did not do a good job, it was when he came to the club that they won.

So we can safely say that Kompany is not doing anything good for this team, not at the moment at least. I am sure that they like winning Bundesliga, better than losing it at least but they need more and Kompany can't give them more, he is still bad.

After all, even Dortmund did not do well, because when last did they even win a trophy? Even Leverkusen has been able to win, so this season is when we are going to know who has improved or not.

You're actually right any coach can go there and won the league because Bayern Munich had already got what it takes to win that league, besides that they have been dominating that league for long now if not for Bayern Leverkusen that interfere season before last, so I don't really see Vincent kompany to be doing anything special there, that's why even till date I'm still wondering on how Vincent kompany got the job, because it doesn't make any sense where someone will take a team to relegation and the next thing one of the top team in Europe came for him like, I really think there's something behind that contract.

Bayern spends so much more money than others that just winning Bundesliga is not an achievement for them, it's just not enough. For that much money, they need to make sure that they can win UCL. I am not saying they should win UCL every single year, that is not possible of course, but they need to win it quite frequently. They have like 5th or whatever biggest salary, and that's way too much for them to be playing with and not win the title sometimes.

But to be fair, Barcelona has a higher salary cap than even Bayern and they failed so far for so long too. Bayern needs to realize they do not have a competition at Bundesliga, and winning it is not an achievement, they have to focus on winning UCL in order to say they actually achieved something.

Shall we say "top 2"?    Because Xabi Alonso achieved a sensational success in his first season there. And he still managed to keep his team's presence in top 2 in his last season.

Top 2 is okay for Leverkusen this season, apparently from next season that is when they will consider going straight for the title. This is a new manager, some fresh players and used tactics are different and new to everyone, it will be too demanding if the club or anyone should burden Erik ten Hag for the title.

No body have to call him failing or better based on the pre-season games, the main deal starts when the season begins, at least half matches played.

If you remember, Xabi came to Leverkusen in the middle of the season, when Leverkusen was hanging around the relegation zone and was able to immediately lift them to the top, and the next season make them champions. In this regard, Ten Hag has a hundred times better conditions - he has the whole summer to prepare the team for the season and this is not a team in decline, but a solid, well-played squad, a confident top-2 in Germany. Finishing top 2 will be great but I don't see that happening, when you look at the qualities gone and the incomings to replace them are not all that. Xabi Alonso had six months before his debut season, so he had all the failings and ideas he needed to infuse into his project and team. Increasing expectations is nice, but they should have a set goal at the end of the season. I don't know of I'd want to say that patience talks again.

Next season's Bundesliga will still be Bayern Munich's, a team that will continue to dominate every match. As for second through the top four, I think I'll only see teams like Dortmund and others competing. Erik Ten Hag will do nothing, I have zero trust in him and he will probably be quite terrible here too. I understand that he was great at Ajax, no idea how he managed to be great there, but I never had trust in him. I think he will do the same thing he did at Manchester United, he will buy young players and try to build a young team for the future. The competition in the Bundesliga is a bit lower than in the Premier League, so he can aim for a Champions League spot. But I doubt he’ll be able to compete with Bayern, although Ten Hag is a very ambitious coach, and I think he’ll try. There will also be the Champions League which is important too, something Ten Hag didn’t have with Manchester United.

Personally, I don't think we will see Leverkusen in the top 2 of the Bundesliga next season. Leverkusen lost the best coach in their history. Well I still think the new season should start and the performance of the team should be used to judge between Xabi Alonso the former manager and Ten Hag the current manager who has done better for the team. I expect Erik Ten Hag to try his best at Leverkusen, he's had a little experience in the league so it shouldn't be a tough job for him, I know most people would be judging him with how he handled Manchester United but this is the Bundesliga and the pressure that was on him when he was as Manchester United won't be same at Leverkusen so he should atleast be able to finish in second or third position.

 It's going to be tough for him to maintain what Xabi Alonso did in his first season with Leverkusen, Ten Hag might have a long unbeaten run but it won't get to 30 or even 40 as for top 4 there's a good possibility of finishing in that stop but fans should right off winning the league in his first season.

Vincent Kompany happens to be a manager that Pep Guardiola really hailed him to be a great manager and he saw the prospects in him even before he took on the work at Bayern Munich. I think Bayern Munich also saw the potential and want to give it a try on him, and he delivered well. Even if we know that Bayern Munich is an already established team, if they give the managerial role to a manager that is not good, he’ll still fumble and will make them lose out on the title. Thomas Tuchel had the chance even as he was more experienced than Kompany and he failed to win the title with them which Kompany took over and won it in his first season with the club.

While Erik Ten Hag is ready for a new challenge, I don't think he'll be able to replicate the Xabi effect. If his Manchester United career had been filled with success, I'd think otherwise, but his Manchester United career was abysmal. Despite signing the players he wanted, the team steadily declined. To this day, Amorim still hasn't been able to turn the team around. That's why I'm not very hopeful for Leverkusen this year.
