i may have missed this information about SWING but i was wondering what the target block interval?  or seconds inbetween blocks found?  ty

When I built it I coded it to be 500 blocks per 24 hrs. Interestingly enough it turned out to be double and is now 1000 blocks per 24 hrs. This actually worked out better in the long run. If I recall correctly it was set to 3.5 minutes per block so.. 1.75 minutes per block? Somewhere around there. Blocks usually take 1 - 3 minutes, but it speeds up and slows down based on both net hashrate and stake weight. Sometimes it's faster. Sometimes it's slower.

Alright, I managed to find a posted btc address from coinbase. Fortunately coinbase lets you sign your addresses. I've started the recovery process with Theymos and am waiting to hear back.

Altcoin4life has yet to agree to return my account.

If I'm able to recover my account I will write up a summary of events and post a link in the ANN to help alleviate any impact my accounts now negtive rep might cause Swing. I will also put a rep link from this account, and links in the footer / under profile pic. After I will begin contacting users that negative rep'd the stolen account, thanks them, and see if I can get the rep fixed.

Q: Who is the dev?
What's up! I'm _Crypto. I've got a few handles that I go by. On bitcointalk I'm MurderousKirk. In IRC I'm _Crypto. In slack I'm IAm_Crypto. On twitter I'm @CryptoPumpInfo, where I'm known for occasionally pointing out blatant pump and dumps still in the accumulation stage. I run the cryptocommunity slack group where 545+ users have sighed up and chat / lurk daily. The only coins I have made prior to this are Greed and GE.

Q: What is the max supply?
40 mil. But it will take quite some time to reach that.

Q: How can I get in contact with you?
The fastest way to reach me is with a DM on slack or twitter.

Q: How can I figure out what reward to expect?
So basically, POS rewards = 1% of the last 3 digits of the block count.
POW is the same, only there is a multiplier. It's factored by taking the number in the thousandth place and multiplying it by 10, and the result is the percentage of POS miners get.
I need to come up with a way to explain it better but the chart should help.
So for example, on block 8532:
POS reward = 5.32
POW reward = 80% of 5.32 = 4.256
The only deviation is when the thousandth place is 0. Rather than have miners earn nothing they earn 100%.

Q: What is HiPos?
It's not very well documented, but from what I've gathered the only difference between HiPos and POS is that in HiPos your weight does not stop building after it hits your coin count. So if you have 10 coins and keep them offline for months, when you come back you will have 10 weight in POS coins, and more weight in HiPos that allows you to help get your fair share that you missed. HiPos also allows for some strategic locking and unlocking that was more relevant in Greed and GE than Swing.

Q: How long does it take my coins to mature and start staking?
About five minutes. (Unless you have a really small amount, then it might take longer.)

OK...I guess I am stuck with the GE in this wallet. Just under 86k, which isn't much but I could have at least had something to get me going with SWING. YoBits wallet is STILL under maint., which means I can't even sell it. Or course, the market for GE is dead anyway. I suppose I just won't be saving any SWING.

I managed to find a signable address, I didn't bother to look at the start because he seemed willing to help and I didn't feel like digging though 100's of posts. All is explained in my response.

Also, to those out of sync. You will need to re-download the blockchain or switch to linux to avoid the issue. This is the result of some rounding issues in the reward code. I'd like to fix it when I get the chance but am currently very busy. Plus I'm pretty focused on this whole stolen account crap. This coin is in need of more devs for updates to happen faster. Till then re-downloading the chain and using linux is the best solution.

Altcoin4life has decided to try to sell me my stolen account back. I'm going to try my luck with Theymos for a while.

And I do intend to pass some BTC towards Altcoin4life for the recovery should my portfolio ever grow again. His loss prevented my entire community from malicious attacks via impersonation and evil edits. It's also potentially led to the recovery of my account. Currently I have less than 0.1 liquid btc to trade with sadly. For now the best I can do is give him favorable feedback.

The support from you guys never ceases to amaze me. The swing community really is a breath of fresh air.

While I immensely appreciate the offer to help me buy my account back from this guy, I simply cannot place the burden of this on you guys. Nor can I publicly comply with buying my stolen property back. Doing so would make me an even bigger target for future theft.

I'm predominately a web marketing guy. I haven't been shy about this fact. Part of my experience in web marketing has taught me to look for the silver lining and act upon it. You can always polish a turd, and a polished turd is more valuable than no turd at all. As far as stolen accounts go we've honestly hit it pretty good.

Let me explain. This is how I see our current situation.

A: While I do not have access to the developer account and my years of effort in it, we know exactly where it is. It's being held by Altcoin4Life who has a pretty clean rep. He has not logged into MurderousKirk since the 14th. We can see if it's active or being held dormant and safe and we know who's behind it. The swing ANN has not been edited since August 28, 2015, and should any changes be made to it without my permission, we know who's responsible.

B: As messed up as it is, small altcoins survive and thrive on drama. The longer Altcoin4Life refuses to return my account, the more attention swing gets. Don't believe me? Just look at the buy support on bittrex that wasn't there till my account got stolen. The larger holders have been doing nothing but stockpiling on the drama.

C: I've proven that my account was stolen and that this account is the real dev. It's there for everyone to see. Should any changes be made to this thread I can just start a new one (possibly on a more secure forum) and move on.

D: If I feel like it I can make a nice video report / instructional video on how to secure your account and be sure you don't suffer the same fate as the Swing developer did. Yay free promotional topics!

E: Theymos still might return my account.

This is genuinely nothing but free advertising at this point guys. While it kinda sucks that I lost my account, I'm happy polishing the turd for a while if it means adding a few sparks to Swing.

Anyway.. I'm just digging for a silver lining here.
